Taking Time to Absorb Christ by Exercising our Spirit of Faith and being One with Him

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit. 1 Cor. 6:17

We need to have a full realization of what we have in Christ, and we need to exercise our spirit of faith to partake of all that is ours in Christ, spending time to absorb all the riches of Christ by the exercise of our spirit.

As believers in Christ, we are made full in Christ, in whom all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily. In Him all the fullness dwells, and we are in Him; it is of God that we are in Christ Jesus, and because we are in Him, we are made full in Him.

This means that we believers in Christ have been made full in Christ, filled up with His divine riches. We have been joined to Him organically, and in this organic union we absorb all the riches of Christ to be made full in Him.

Too many times, however, we think we’re in a poor condition and our situation is not that good; too many times we go to the Lord and complain in our prayers concerning our situation and others’ situation.

May we learn to set our mind on the things which are above – may we learn to realize our organic union with the Lord, for in this union with Him we have everything that we need, and in Him we have been made full!

We believers in Christ have been put into the all-inclusive, extensive Christ – we have been identified with Him, and we are one with Him.

Where are we now? We are not in sin and poverty and in a low situation – we are in Christ, in the heavenlies, and in the One in whom all the fullness dwells, so we are made full in Him.

If we just turn to Him and ask Him to dispense Himself into us, all that He is will be infused into our being, and we will be made full in Him.

Because we are one with the Lord, He as God’s history becomes our history; we partake of all that He is, all He has accomplished, and all He has attained and obtained.

We are not poor sinners, miserable – we are glorious inheritors, for we inherit all that Christ is, has experienced, and has passed through, and we receive all that He is! Hallelujah!

So just as Christ is the history of God, so Christ’s history becomes our history, for He is being manifested and reproduced in us.

Whatever we need, He is; whatever we need – whether we know it or not – is in Christ, and we have been rooted into Him to absorb all of His riches.

May we realize what we have in Christ and we may we draw all the riches from Him, absorbing all that He is so that we may become the fullness of the One who fills all and in all!

Taking Time to Absorb the Lord by Exercising our Spirit of Faith to Contact Him and be One with Him

To me, less than the least of all saints, was this grace given to announce to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ as the gospel. Eph. 3:8 If therefore you were raised together with Christ, seek the things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Col. 3:1Before we believed into the Lord, we didn’t have anything positive; rather, we were involved with so many negative things such as sin, the world, the flesh, the ordinances, and the power of darkness.

But when we believed into the Lord and were baptized, we were transferred out of the authority of darkness and into the kingdom of God, and we were rooted into Christ as the good land.

Now that we are rooted in Christ, the fullness has become ours, and in Him we have everything.

In Christ we have God, an uplifted humanity, all the divine attributes, and all the human virtues.

In Christ we have life; in Him we have patience, love, joy, long-suffering, and everything that we need, for all these are included in the fullness.

How rich is the soil in which we have been rooted! All the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him, and we have been rooted in Him. We can enjoy the Lord and absorb Him by spending time with Him.

We may know how rich He is, we may read concerning all the riches in Him, but we need to practice contacting the Lord and taking time to absorb Him by exercising our spirit over the word of God.

It is easy to be passive or lazy in enjoying Christ; but when we take time to enjoy the Lord, all the elements of the rich soil are absorbed into us.

If we don’t take time to absorb the Lord in the morning, many things can come and bother us during the day.

But if we spend adequate time with Him and absorb Him, if we learn to open to Him and exercise our spirit to be one with Him, we enjoy His riches.

We all need to learn to turn from our thoughts, emotions, intentions, and feelings, and just open ourselves to the Lord and pray. We can tell the Lord,

Lord Jesus, I love You, I worship You, I adore You, and I open to You! I give myself to You, dear Lord – I give You my heart, my mind, and all the things related to me. I give You everything concerning my day and all the things I have to do. Lord, I love You!

When we contact the Lord in this way, we should not rush our time with Him; rather, we should take time to enjoy the Lord – the more, the better.

As we spend time contacting the Lord, spontaneously we absorb the riches of the soil into our being.

The fullness of the Godhead, the crucifixion of Christ, His burial, His raising up, the imparting of life, the wiping out of the ordinances, and the stripping off of the authorities will be ours.

When we exercise our spirit to contact the Lord in His word, all the facts in the word of God become real to us in our experience.

If we are not faithful to take time to absorb the Lord, our condition will gradually deteriorate. Our experience confirms this. Let us turn from our thought, emotion, and intention and open ourselves to the Lord, exercising our spirit to say, “O Lord Jesus, I love You, I worship You, and I adore You. Lord, I give myself to You. I give You my heart and everything concerning this day.” As you contact the Lord in this way, do not be hurried. Take time, the more the better. As you spend time contacting the Lord, spontaneously you will absorb into you the riches of the soil. Witness Lee, Life-study of Colossians, msg. 53The facts are in Christ, and the experience is by Christ; we experience the facts in Christ by contacting the Lord and being one with Him in a practical way.

When we ask the Lord to give us the grace to be and live one spirit with Him, and even remind us that we are one spirit with Him, He will do it; He and us will live as one spirit.

The more we contact the Lord in spirit and live one spirit with the Lord, the more we will experience the all-inclusive and extensive Christ revealed in Colossians.

May we give ourselves to absorb the Lord, enjoy Him, and experience Him, realizing that we have been rooted in a rich, fertile soil filled with the divine attributes and the uplifted human virtues.

Everything that we need is in the rich soil of Christ, in the good land in which we have been rooted!

So we need to be those spending time with the Lord to absorb His riches in our contact with Him by exercising our spirit and being one with Him, so that we may remain rooted in Him as the soil and absorb all its riches!

Lord Jesus, grant us the grace to live one spirit with You today. Thank You for putting us into Christ; we are rooted in this rich soil, and everything we need is in the soil. Amen, Lord, we want to come to You again and again to contact You by exercising our spirit and by living one spirit with You. Remind us, Lord, that we are one spirit with You; remind us to remain in the organic union with You today, absorbing all the riches of this all-inclusive, extensive Christ into whom we’re rooted!

Having a Full Realization of what we have in Christ and Exercising our Spirit of Faith to Partake of Him

We need to have a full realization of what we have in Christ and to exercise faith to partake of all that is ours in Christ — Eph. 3:17. Because this fullness is all-inclusive, it accomplishes everything for us, it fully satisfies and supplies us, and it makes us full, perfect, and complete — Col. 2:9. We have the all-inclusive, inexhaustible fullness that dwells in Christ bodily, and in Him we are made full — Eph. 3:8; Col. 2:9-10. 2019 Thanksgiving Conference, outline 5Praise the Lord, we believers in Christ have everything we need – we have been rooted into Christ, and all we have to do is exercise our spirit of faith to partake of all that is ours in Him (Eph. 3:17).

We are not poor, neither are we low; we have been made full in Him.

We may have failed today – maybe we didn’t wake up early today to contact the Lord, we didn’t have morning revival, or we lost our temper, and all these things are real – but we need to look at Christ!

We need to look to Christ who is the mystery of God, the embodiment of the fullness of the Godhead, for out of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace!

And in Him we have been made full. It is not of our endeavouring or struggling; it is of Him.

This doesn’t mean that we become careless and lose, and we take whatever happens to us; rather, we exercise our spirit of faith – for faith is in our spirit – to lay hold of the spiritual fact that we have been made full in Him!

When we exercise our spirit, God gives us grace without measure, for with God there’s nothing narrow, nothing stinted, but with Him there’s always something over!

Amen, we need to exercise the living faith, forget about what we see around us, forget even about ourselves and our condition, and simply focus on this all-inclusive, extensive Christ who, as the mystery of God, is the embodiment of all the fullness of the Godhead, and in Him we are made full! Amen!

Because this fullness is all-inclusive, it accomplishes everything for us, it fully satisfies and supplies us, and it makes us full, perfect, and complete (Col. 2:9).

May we realize that we have the all-inclusive, inexhaustible fullness that dwells in Christ bodily, and in Him we are made full (Eph. 3:8; Col. 2:9-10).

This fullness is not something “nebulous”, something up in the air; the fullness of the Godhead is embodied in Christ in a bodily form, and we can partake of Him today!

We have been put into Christ, we have the all-inclusive, inexhaustible fullness that dwells in Christ bodily, and we can partake of Him!

As we exercise our spirit of faith to partake of Christ, we believers in totality become the fullness of Christ – this is the Body of Christ, the one new man, what the Lord is doing today! Amen!

May we see this all-inclusive, extensive Christ in Colossians, and may we realize that it is not enough merely to be spiritual proper, ethical, or good – we need to have this Christ who fills the whole universe, fill all our spaces!

We need to let Him fill us and everything about us until there’s no room for Jew, Greek, circumcision, uncircumcision, etc, because this all-filling Christ fills everything!

Christ fills all the voids, all the cracks, all the people, and everything, until He becomes all and in all!

Hallelujah, we have the all-inclusive, inexhaustible fullness that dwells in Christ bodily, and in Him we are made full! Praise You Lord Jesus for being so available for us to enjoy and receive, and as we enjoy You, this fullness accomplishes everything for us, it fully satisfies and supplies us, and it makes us full, perfect, and complete! Amen, Lord, grant us to have a full realization of what we have in Christ so that we may exercise our spirit of faith to partake of what is ours in Christ! Praise the Lord!
