Take Christ as our Head by Receiving the Transmission of God’s Surpassingly Great Power

Unto the economy of the fullness of the times, to head up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens and the things on the earth, in Him. Eph. 1:10

We can take, experience, and enjoy Christ as our Head by being under the constant transmission of God’s surpassingly great power and by being strengthened into our inner man with this power so that Christ may make His home in our heart. Amen!

Hallelujah, God has made Christ the Head over all things to the church, and we are the church, His Body; all that He has, is and has accomplished, everything is to us, to the church, His Body.

As believers in Christ, we simply need to hold the Head by staying intimately connected to Him.

Through our faith in Christ, we have been joined to the Lord, and now we are one spirit with Him (1 Cor. 6:17); we simply need to remain in the organic union with the Lord, taking Him as the Head.

On one hand, Christ is in us to be our very life (Col. 3:4) and person, and on the other hand, He is the Head, and whenever we turn to Him, we’re being headed up.

Both around us and in our being all things are in a universal state of collapse and rebellion against God; by default, our natural being is against God and His purpose, and the whole world lies in the evil one.

We as believers in Christ are those who have been shown mercy by God to repent, receive God as life, and have Christ as life in our spirit.

We are those who are being headed up in the church life today, for the church as the Body of Christ is under Christ as the unique Head.

We all can testify that, when we call on the name of the Lord, read and pray His word, fellowship with the Lord, and fellowship with the saints, we are filled with the enjoyment of Christ on one hand, and we are being headed up in Christ on the other.

Many things in our daily life and in our personal universe are being headed up in Christ by our holding Christ as the Head, by our staying intimately connected to Him in spirit.

When we hold Christ as the Head, when we remain intimately connected to Him, we receive His divine dispensing, and all His riches and life supply are being dispensed into our being.

The dispensing of what God is into us causes us to grow with the growth of God so that we may grow up into Him in all things and function out from Him for the growth of the Body until the building up of itself in love (Eph. 4:15-16).

This is to be headed up; it is not by adhering to certain rules and regulations, neither is it in an outward, strict, and condemning way, but in the way of life, by our receiving the divine dispensing and allowing the Lord to head us up.

It is the Lord’s mercy that we are made willing to be headed up in Christ in the church life, so that through us God would head up all things in Christ in the fullness of the time (Eph. 1:10).

Taking Christ as our Head by Receiving the Transmission of God’s Surpassingly Great Power from Christ, the Head

And He subjected all things under His feet and gave Him [to be] Head over all things to the church, which is His Body, the fullness of the One who fills all in all. Eph. 1:22-23Eph. 1:22-23 tells us that God subjected all things under the feet of Christ and gave Him to be Head over all things to the church, which is His Body, the fullness of the One who fills all in all.

God’s intention in His administration and economy is to head up all things in Christ, so He made Christ be Head over all things TO the church.

This little word “to” in Eph. 1:22 implies a transmission; Christ’s headship with all that He is and has accomplished is being transmitted to the church.

God’s surpassingly great power that is presently transmitted to us is the transcending Christ Himself as the fourfold power of the Triune God (1 Cor. 1:24).

Eph. 1:19-23 reveals God’s fourfold power – the resurrecting power, ascending power, subjecting power, and the power to head up all things in Christ; this power operates in Christ and is now being transmitted to the church.

We can take Christ as our Head by receiving the transmission of God’s surpassingly great power from Christ, the Head.

Actually, the normal, genuine, proper, and real church comes out of this great fourfold power, which is in Christ and is being transmitted to the church for the building up of the church as His Body. Hallelujah!

We as the church can share the headship of Christ over all things, for the church is the Body of Christ; it is not only the Head that is over all things but the Head and the Body, the entire person, that is Head over all things. Wow!

Christ is not only the Head but also the Body (1 Cor. 12:12), and when we take Christ as our Head by receiving the transmission of God’s surpassingly great power that comes from Christ to the Body, we share in His headship over all things.

We in ourselves are not the Head, but when we’re in Christ, in the Body of Christ, we can share Christ’s headship.

Actually, it by this transmission that we are made the Body of Christ, the church, and it is by remaining in the receiving of this transmission of God’s surpassingly great power that we remain in the organic union with the Lord; all this is in our mingled spirit.

The divine power, which includes all that the Triune God has passed through, has been installed into us once for all at the time of our regeneration.

Now, this divine power is being transmitted into us continually, causing us to enjoy Christ in a rich way and to have the proper church life with the reality of the Body of Christ.

There is a transmission from the ascended and transcending Christ to the church (Eph. 1:19-23); His transcending transmission includes all the rich dispensing of the Triune God (vv. 3-14). Such an all-inclusive transmission brings us into union not only with the incarnated, crucified Christ but also with the resurrected, transcending Christ; in union with this transcending Christ, we have surpassed all the negative things and transcended above them all — vv. 21-23. The transmitting of the transcending Christ is to transfuse into the church, the Body of Christ, what the Triune God has accomplished, attained, and obtained for the heading up of all things in Christ — vv. 10, 19, 22-23. The Crystallization-Study Outlines — Gospel of Luke, Chapter 1, by Witness LeeChrist went through a process to be incarnated and crucified; through this process, He brought God into man and has accomplished an eternal redemption for us.

Then, through His resurrection and ascension, Christ conquered the power of Hades and transcended all the power of darkness in the air.

Therefore, through the processes He passed through, Christ brought God into man, mingled God with man, accomplished redemption, and conquered the power of death, transcending all the power of darkness in the air.

Now Christ is the Head over all things TO the church, that is, He is the Head of the Body and together, Christ and the Body of Christ, are Head over all things so that all things may be headed up in Christ through the church, His Body.

The transmitting of the transcending Christ is to transfuse into the church, the Body of Christ, what the Triune God has accomplished, attained, and obtained in Christ. Hallelujah!

This is for the producing of the church and also for the growing, the establishing, and the building up of the church.

Today we can enjoy, experience, and take Christ as the Head by being open to Him to continually receive the transmission of God’s surpassingly great power so that we may be headed up and through us, He may head up all things in Christ.

Hallelujah, God subjected all things under Christ’s feet and gave Him to be Head over all things to the church, which is His Body, the fullness of the One who fills all in all! Amen, Lord, we are joined to You in spirit, and we can now enjoy and receive God’s surpassingly great power that is presently transmitted into us! We open to You, Lord, and we allow this great fourfold power to operate in us for the building up of the church as the Body of Christ! May we have a proper church life with the reality of the Body of Christ in the enjoyment of Christ by our continual receiving of God’s resurrecting power, ascending power, subjecting power, and heading-up power in Christ! Amen, Lord, head up all things in our being and bring us fully under Your headship so that through the church You may head up all things in Christ!

Being Strengthened into the Inner Man with the Fourfold Power of God for Christ to make His Home in our Heart and for God to be Glorified in the Church

That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit into the inner man, that Christ may make His home in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love. Eph. 3:16-17In Eph. 1 Paul speaks of the fourfold power that operated in Christ and that is to us, the church, by the transmitting of the transcending Christ into us.

As we open to the Lord, enjoy Him, and fellowship with Him, He strengthens us into our inner man with this fourfold power so that Christ may make His home in our heart (Eph. 3:16).

We need to be strengthened with power through the Spirit into the inner man so that Christ may make His home in our heart and so that God would be glorified in the church.

May we be daily reminded to pray and ask the Father to strengthen us into the inner man so that Christ may make His home in our heart.

The power through which God strengthens us into our inner man is the power that raised Christ from the dead, that seated Christ at the right hand of God in the heavenlies, that subjected all things under His feet, and that gave Him to be Head over all things to the church (Eph. 3:16-17; 1:19-23).

We need this power, the fourfold power that operated in Christ, to also operate in us to strengthen us into the inner man, so that Christ may make His home in our heart.

Our heart is such a stronghold that we need God’s surpassingly great power to operate in us and strengthen our inner man.

Sometimes we can be so much in ourselves that, when we pray this prayer in Eph. 3:16-17, this fourfold power acts as divine dynamite to blast us out of ourselves and into our inner man.

When this happens, when our inner man is strengthened with God’s surpassingly great power, Christ has a way to spread out from our spirit into all the parts of our heart; in this way, He can spread into our mind, emotion, and will.

But to Him who is able to do superabundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power which operates in us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus unto all the generations forever and ever. Amen. Eph. 3:20-21Right now the Head, Christ, is constantly transmitting this power from the heavens, and whenever we are in our spirit, we are at the receiving end of this transmission, and we are strengthened within.

The issue of our being strengthened into our inner man with God’s surpassingly great power is that Christ is making His home in our heart; He has a way to spread from our spirit into our thinking, our feelings, our preferences, our decisions, and in all our inward parts.

In this way He is not only in our spirit but also in our inward parts, in our heart; He spreads, He takes over, and He saturates our inward parts to make His home.

Many times, however, our heart is closed off to Him, and our spirit is very weak; therefore, we need to pray that the Father would strengthen our inner man with God’s surpassingly great power – the fourfold power – so that Christ may make His home in our heart.

When our inner man is strengthened, it will be easy for Christ as the indwelling Spirit to spread into our heart and take over our mind, emotion, and will, thus settling down in our being and making His home in our heart.

And the best part is that God is able to do superabundantly all that we ask or think concerning the church as the Body of Christ, according to this fourfold power that operates in us, so that God would be glorified in the church (Eph. 3:20-21).

He is able to do it and He is poised to do it; we simply need to cooperate by opening to Him and praying this prayer to open our whole being to Him.

Lord Jesus, remind us to pray every day that we would be strengthened by the Father through His Spirit into the inner man so that Christ may make His home in our heart through faith. Amen, Lord, strengthen us with the power that raised Christ from the dead, that seated Christ at the right hand of God in the heavenlies, that subjected all things under His feet, and that gave Him to be Head over all things to the church! Strengthen us into our inner man with God’s surpassingly great power so that Christ may have a way to spread from our spirit into our mind, emotion, and will and make His home in all our heart! Amen, Lord, we believe that You are able to do superabundantly above all that we ask or think concerning the church as the Body of Christ so that God may be glorified in the church!
