Christ is the Reality of all the Offerings for us to Worship God in Spirit and Truthfulness

June 11, 2020 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

But an hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truthfulness, for the Father also seeks such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truthfulness. John 4:23-24

Christ is the reality of the offerings so that we may worship God in spirit and truthfulness (John 4:23-24); as we live daily by enjoying Christ as the reality of all the offerings, we are brought into the building of God with man, the mutual dwelling place of God and man, the church. Praise the […]

Enjoying the Resurrected Christ as the Firstfruits and becoming the Firstfruits in Him

October 24, 2018 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Rom. 8:11 And if the Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you.

After the resurrected Christ is offered to God for His satisfaction, He is to be eaten and enjoyed by us, His people; Christ is to be dispensed into us with all the riches of His resurrection for our enjoyment. This is what the type of the Feast of Firstfruits shows us. First, it is the […]

Experiencing Christ as the Reality of the Offerings, the Total Picture of God’s Economy

May 5, 2018 by aGodMan 1 Comment

We need to enjoy Christ as the reality of the peace offering at the Lord's Table to present a total picture of God's economy.

If we read Leviticus 1:1 – 6:7 we see that the sequence of the five offerings is according to our practical experience, while the sequence in 6:8-7:38 is according to the total picture of God’s economy. This entire last week we have been enjoying the matter of Christ as the reality of the peace offering at […]

Taking Christ as our Trespass Offering for our Lies, Unfaithfulness and Defilement

April 4, 2018 by aGodMan 14 Comments

Lord Jesus, we take You as our sin offering for our sinful nature, as our burnt offering for our not being absolute for God, and as our trespass offering for our sins and trespasses!

The source of every trespass is sin in our flesh, and the reason for every trespass is not living absolutely for God. But Hallelujah, Christ is our trespass offering, and whenever we are aware that we sinned, or when the Lord shines on us to expose our mistakes, wrongdoings, and trespasses, we can simply confess […]

Seeing how the Entire Divine Trinity is Revealed in the Type of the Burnt Offering

February 28, 2018 by aGodMan 7 Comments

We need to see how the Divine Trinity is revealed in the type of the burnt offering

The entire Divine Trinity is revealed in the type of the burnt offering – Christ the Son is the burnt offering, the tent of meeting, and the offerer; Jehovah as the Receiver and the fire is actually God the Father; and the water washing the inward parts is a type of the Spirit. The entire […]

Taking Christ as our Burnt Offering, for We are Not Absolutely for God but Christ is

February 26, 2018 by aGodMan 8 Comments

The burnt offering typifies Christ not mainly in His redeeming man from sin but in His living a life that is absolutely for God and in His being the life that enables God’s people to have such a living.

The burnt offering typifies Christ not mainly in His redeeming man from sin but in His living a life that is absolutely for God and in His being the life that enables us as His people to have such a living. The burnt offering is the first offering, and it was an offering that was […]

Overcoming the Principle of Babylon by Taking Christ as our Burnt Offering Daily

December 1, 2017 by aGodMan 4 Comments

The laying on of hands signifies not substitution but identification, union (Acts 13:3 and footnote 2). By laying our hands on Christ as our offering, we are joined to Him, and He and we become one. In such a union all our weaknesses, defects, and faults are taken on by Him, and all His virtues become ours. This requires us to exercise our spirit through the proper prayer so that we may be one with Him in an experiential way (cf. 1 Cor. 6:17 and footnotes). When we lay our hands on Christ through prayer, the life-giving Spirit, who is the very Christ on whom we lay our hands (1 Cor. 15:45; 2 Cor. 3:6, 17), will immediately move and work within us to live in us a life that is a repetition of the life that Christ lived on earth, the life of the burnt offering. Lev. 1:4, footnote 1, RcV Bible

The only way for us to overcome the principle of Babylon is by daily taking Christ as our burnt offering, for He lived a life that is perfect and absolutely for God and for God’s satisfaction, and He is such a life in us to enable us to have such a living. We first need […]
