God’s Dealings with us to Touch and Break our Natural Life are for the Body of Christ

May 24, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Cor. 1:18

Because what God desires today is the Body of Christ, all of God’s dealings with us have been with a view to prepare us for the Body; the revelation of the Body is very costly, touching the spring of our natural life, and bringing in the work of the cross. Praise the Lord for the […]

When we’re Body-Conscious we Depend on the Body just as we Depend on Christ the Head

August 19, 2017 by aGodMan 11 Comments

What I do not know, another member of the Body will know; what I cannot see, another member of the Body will see; what I cannot do, another member of the Body will do. Watchman Nee

When we have a revelation of the Body of Christ and realize we are members of the Body, we will be Body-conscious; any individualistic thought and action will be ruled out, and we will depend on the Body in everything. Our human life is an individualistic life, and as we grow up in today’s society, […]

Being Universal Christians with a Universal View of the Universal Body of Christ

January 15, 2017 by aGodMan 9 Comments

In our spirit we need to have a view of the universal Body, which is infinitely greater than anything that has ever entered into our mind concerning the Body of Christ. Witness Lee

As believers in Christ, we need to be universal Christians having a universal view of the universal Body of Christ. We are not only believers in Christ who meet with the church in our locality – we are members of the universal Body of Christ, and we practice the church life by having a clear […]

Seeing a Vision of the Body of Christ and Realizing our Great Need for the Body

November 27, 2013 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Seeing a Vision of the Body of Christ and Realizing our Great Need for the Body (see Acts 9:4-6)

In all spiritual things, our seeing is our knowing and entering in. If you see the Body of Christ, you know the Body and you enter into the Body life in practicality. We need to see a vision of the Body of Christ in the same way that Paul saw it, and then we will […]

Our Self is the Greatest Enemy of the Body: We Need to Deny it and Live by God’s Life

Our Self is the Greatest Enemy of the Body: We Need to Deny it and Live by God's Life

As believers in Christ we are not meant to live in an individualistic way – we are members of the Body of Christ. However, do we have the realization that we are members of the Body? Do we live in the Body of Christ? Do we depend on the Lord as the Head and on […]

the Lord Jesus regards our dependence on Him and not what we can do for Him in our self

December 22, 2011 by aGodMan 9 Comments

The word of the Lord Jesus in Matt. 7:21-23 is very sobering and exposing – many people do works of power in His name, cast out demons in His name, prophesied in His name, but the Lord does not recognize them or know them… We can do a lot of good and great things for the Lord – even miraculous things, with the help of the power of God – but if we do things independently of the Lord, He does not approve or recognize it. How much we need the Lord to shine on us and expose our self in all its good or bad intentions and doings, so that we may deny our self and exercise our spirit to be one with the Lord! as believers in Christ, the consciousness of the Body needs to become our frame of mind

June 25, 2011 by aGodMan 5 Comments

As believers in Christ, we have the divine life in us besides the human life – and the divine life in us is a corporate life, a communal life, a life that is NOT individualistic. If we enjoy the divine life, if we grow in the divine life, and if we live out the divine […]
