some of the things I enjoyed in my first term in the Full Time Training in London

We all need to be trained. Just as a plant is “trained” to grow straight, so we while being young need to be trained – both in the secular things(to acquire the skills that we will need and use for our whole life) and also in the spiritual things. For us to cut straight the word of the truth and to discern things, for us to help others know their God and to bring others to the full knowledge of God, and for us to function as normal members of the Body, we need to be trained. Below is brother Ojeh’s short testimony after finishing his first term in the Full Time Training in London (FTTL).

I arrived at the Bower House in Romford for the start of my First term of the Full Time Training in London. I came with a couple of suitcases and a mind full of concepts and assumptions about the training. My biggest concept I had was that the training was for a particular kind of people who had lot of spiritual experience and behaved in certain way. These concepts and many other like these I had picked up from speaking with trainees past and present and my numerous visits to Bower House over the years. By the end of the first week all my concepts had been blown away, I realised that all the other trainees were human just like me – ones seeking the Lord with their whole heart.

My toughest class was the second week of “Character” which in my view was the expansion of the 30 points – from Genuine to Grave – which was a really big sledge hammer to me. A summary of this class would be “In the Lord’s eyes the worker is more important the work, so if the vessel is not ready, the Lord would rather wait than entrust the work.” and “Character without divine life (constitution) is vain, while divine life without character is useless. To be useful in the Lords hand both are required.

I enjoyed the class called, “The Body of Christ” (incidentally I got my lowest score in the written exam for this class). In these lessons / messages I got some fresh revelation – I saw that I’m just a member in the Body of Christ, and no one is too small to function in the meetings! Also, I saw that in the Body of Christ there is protection, limitation, and more importantly – the Body of Christ is where the supply is.

The term finished with “The Word of God” class which was just wow – I enjoyed that the summarised content of the Bible is God at the beginning and the New Jerusalem at the end, and linking these two are the seven points of the central line in the divine revelation. These central points start with The Word of God which is the definition and expression of The Triune God who has plan, a good pleasure, called The Economy of God; the centre and universality of this economy is The All Inclusive Christ who is made real to the believers by the Life Giving Spirit, and which Christ is expressed by The Body of Christ which ultimately consummates in the New Jerusalem. WOW, what a view of the Bible!

I don’t have the full picture of the Body of Christ and the Word of God but I see a little so I’ll be spending some time over the break to review the class outlines and my notes. Praise the Lord for the training!

Wow “In the Lord’s eyes the worker is more important the work,
and that character without divine life is vain, while divine life without character is useless.
To be useful in the Lords hand both are required.“
Lord train me EVERY DAY and make me useful for You!
