Our Savior Christ Nullified Death and His Resurrection Life Swallows up Death in us

...our Savior Christ Jesus, who nullified death and brought life and incorruption to light through the gospel. 2 Tim. 1:10

Our Savior Jesus Christ nullified death and brought life and incorruption to light through the gospel, and daily He is causing us to grow in life and swallowing death in us until what is mortal will put immortality and death will be swallowed up unto victory! Hallelujah!

This week we come to the topic of, Christ Nullifying Death and Bringing Life and Incorruption to Light, and Our Remembering Jesus Christ, the Seed of David, Raised from the Dead.

In our deeper prayerful study of 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus, we come to 2 Tim. 1:10 and 2:8 where we see these great matters concerning Christ’s person and work.

In His work, Jesus Christ nullified death and brought to light life and incorruption, and in His person, He is the seed of David, the One raised from the dead.

Our focus is Christ, the wonderful person who is everything to God and who is becoming our everything in and for the church life.

Christ is the center and circumference of God’s economy. He is the very content of the unique ministry of God’s economy.

We need to see Him, enjoy Him, experience Him, partake of His riches, and live Him out.

May we have a clear vision of who and what our Christ is. May we know Christ, have the full knowledge of Christ, and enter into a proper experience of Christ.

He is the seed of David, He was raised from the dead in His person, and He did a marvellous work, not merely to die for our sins, be raised for our justification, and be ascended to the heavens but even more, to nullify death!

Wow, Christ not only resurrected from the dead: He nullified death!

Death has been nullified! This is a tremendous matter.

He nullified death and He brought life and incorruption to light through the gospel.

Today the gospel is preached as the shining of light, and this light shows clearly that God is life and He brings us into incorruption as we believe into Him. Hallelujah!

As believers in Christ, we were born in sin but we were regenerated with God’s life, and this divine life operates in us to bring our whole being into incorruption.

The degradation of the church is corruption working in the saints and among the saints, but by contacting the Lord and enjoying Him to have Him increased in us, we are brought into incorruption in our whole being and in the church life.

As degradation operates in the church in general and the church is in decline, we need to have an inoculating word concerning Christ nullifying death and bringing in life and incorruption through the gospel.

We must know Christ in His person and His work.

Our Savior Jesus Christ Nullified Death and Tasted Death on Behalf of Everything

...He also Himself in like manner partook of the same, that through death He might destroy him who has the might of death, that is, the devil. Heb. 2:142 Tim. 1:10 is a marvellous verse, for it tells us that our Savior Christ Jesus nullified death and brought life and incorruption to light through the gospel. Amen, Hallelujah!

What does it mean that Christ nullified death? It means that, through His death, Christ made death of none effect.

This word, nullified, is used only a few times in the epistles; here in 2 Timothy Paul used this word to show us not only that Christ overcame death and defeated it but even more, He nullified it.

To nullify is to make something of none effect, to make it void, to make it inoperative, and to make it altogether non-functional, non-effective.

Christ made death of none effect through His devil-destroying death (Heb. 2:14) and death-swallowing resurrection (1 Cor. 15:52-54). Wow.

Through His death, Christ destroyed the devil, the one who has the might of death.

In His resurrection, Christ swallowed up death and made it of none effect. Wow!

Today death operates everywhere on this earth and no one and nothing can escape death.

But here is One, Jesus Christ our Savior, who nullified death. He first destroyed the devil, the one who has the might of death, and overcame him through His death.

He also defeated Satan and the grave.

Yes, the Lord Jesus was put to death, and He took a tour of death and Hades for three days.

However, after taking a tour of death and Hades, He overcame death, nullified it, and even took the keys of death and Hades and came out of death in victory.

Through His death, Christ nullified death; through His resurrection, He made death, Hades, and Satan of none effect.

Praise the Lord, Christ’s resurrection demonstrated that He triumphed over Satan, death, Hades, and the grave (Heb. 2:14; Acts 2:31). Hallelujah!

Heb. 2:9 further says that the Lord Jesus tasted death on behalf of everything.

He tasted death on behalf not only of man but also of every thing that was created by God.

This indicates that Christ’s redemption was accomplished not only for people but for everything created by God.

Through the fall of man, not only man was under a curse and a slave to corruption but the whole earth with all things in it were subjected to corruption and death.

Because of the fall of man, who is the head of the old creation, all creation was subjected to vanity, corruption, and death; everything today is under death.

But praise the Lord, Jesus tasted death on behalf of everything and abolished death.

This is typified by the redemption of Noah’s ark, where not only eight persons but all other living things created by god were saved together with them.

But we see Jesus, who was made a little inferior to the angels because of the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death on behalf of everything. Heb. 2:9The ark was a type, a picture of Christ in this respect.

In Heb. 2:9 we see that Christ tasted death not only on behalf of man but also on behalf of everything.

Because of this, the death of Christ is all-inclusive; it includes and affects not only God and man but every thing created by God. Praise the Lord!

Christ’s death is all-inclusive and all-terminating; it terminates the devil and every negative thing, and it includes and affects man and all created things.

Praise the Lord for His death!

By believing into Christ, we have the death of Christ applied to us, and we enjoy all the benefits of His death; His death-nullifying life is in us, and any death in us is being swallowed up by His divine life in us. Praise the Lord!

As we exercise our spirit and contact the Lord, His life in us grows and swallows up any death, even causing any death in us to be of none effect.

We today can enjoy and experience the Christ who nullified death, for He tasted death on behalf of everything. Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord, our Savior Jesus Christ nullified death! Hallelujah, death has been made of none effect through Christ’s devil-destroying death and death-swallowing resurrection! Amen, Lord, we praise You for Your death through which You destroyed the devil! We praise You for Your resurrection through which You swallowed up death! Hallelujah, death has become of no effect – death has lost its power, even its taste, for Christ nullified death! We praise You, Lord Jesus, for dying on the cross to taste death on behalf of everything. You tasted death on behalf of man and on every thing created by God! Amen, Lord, You tasted death on our behalf so we don’t have to taste it. Thank You for Your work on the cross through which You destroyed the devil and You tasted death on our behalf. We open to You to enjoy You as the devil-destroying One. We want to enjoy and experience You as the death-nullifying Christ! Amen, Lord, nullify death in our being today!

Experience Christ’s Resurrection Life until All Death in us is Swallowed up by Life in Incorruption

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality. And when this corruptible will put on incorruption and this mortal will put on immortality, then the word which is written will come to pass, "Death has been swallowed up unto victory." 1 Cor. 15:53-54In the world today the strongest power is death; death operates in everything and everyone, and no one can overcome death.

Death operates in the plants, in animals, and in man, and eventually, death will overcome every created thing.

However, there is one person in this universe who has overcome death; Jesus Christ overcame death and nullified death through His death and resurrection.

Yes, death overcame Him temporarily for three days, but on the third day, He was resurrected and raised from death, and He overcame death. Hallelujah!

This fact is not just something that was accomplished by Jesus Christ two thousand years ago; this can be enjoyed and experienced by us today because Jesus Christ has come into us to be our very life.

1 Cor. 15:54 says, When this corruptible will put on incorruption and this mortal will put on immortality, then the word which is written will come to pass, Death has been swallowed up into victory. Hallelujah!

When Jesus Christ came into us to be our life, He is in us as resurrection life, and He is swallowing up death in us.

The life we have received at the time of our regeneration is a devil-destroying life and a death-nullifying life.

Jesus Christ nullified death, and He is in us to nullify death, even to swallow up death by His life.

It is not a matter of whether death will be swallowed up in life but of when; our corrupted and mortal bodies will be resurrected or transfigured from corruption and death into glory and life! Praise the Lord!

We share in God’s New Testament economy through redemption and salvation in Christ, and resurrection is our portion.

When we were made alive in our deadened spirit through regeneration, the resurrection life of Christ came into us and started to operate in us to swallow up any death in our being.

After regeneration we are in the process of being transformed; this is a process of metabolic transformation of our fallen soul by the life-giving Spirit (2 Cor. 3:18).

Hallelujah, as we daily open to the Lord, spend time with Him, enjoy Him, contact Him, and allow Him to speak to us, rule and reign in us, and work Yourself into us, He operates in our soul to transform us and renew us.

The life-giving Spirit is the reality of resurrection, and He works in us to impart His death-overcoming life into our mind, emotion, and will.

Though death is defeat to man, through Christ’s salvation in the resurrection life, death will be swallowed up into victory to us! Praise the Lord!

Today we are in this process of having any death being swallowed up by the Lord’s life in our being.

The more we open to the Lord and enjoy Him, the more we say Amen to His inner speaking, the more He operates in us to swallow up death in our mind, emotion, and will.

And if the Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you. Rom. 8:11Even more, as beneficiaries of Christ’s resurrection life, as those who enjoy Christ who nullified death, our entire being will be swallowed up by Christ’s resurrection life. Hallelujah!

As the divine life works in us and operates in our being, the corruptible will put on incorruption.

God Himself with His divine life operates in us to impart life from our spirit into our soul and eventually even in our mortal body.

As He spreads from our spirit into our soul and even into our body, the divine life will saturate our body to cause even our mortal body to be swallowed up in life (Rom. 8:11). Praise the Lord!

At the time of the Lord’s coming, our body will be transfigured to become incorruptible; in this way, corruption will put on incorruption.

How wonderful it is to see that we’re in this process today, of the Lord as life swallowing up death in our being until death is fully swallowed up and defeated and incorruption will prevail! Praise the Lord!

May we open to the Lord about this, cooperate with Him in His growth in us, and allow Him to flow in us and swallow up any death in our being until Christ in us nullifies death and the corruptible will put on incorruption!

Lord Jesus, thank You for coming into us as the resurrection life to impart this devil-destroying and death-overcoming life into all the parts of our being! Hallelujah, this corruptible will put on incorruption and this mortal will put on immortality! Amen, Lord, we believe that You are in us as life, and You are operating in us to resurrect every part of our inner being until Your life will prevail! We open to You today. We want to enjoy Your resurrection life operating in our being. May we remain in the process of God’s organic salvation until God’s divine life swallows up any death in our soul and even in our body! Praise the Lord, through Christ’s salvation in the resurrection life, death will be swallowed up unto victory to us! Thank You, Lord, we are beneficiaries of Your resurrection life. May Your life swallow up any death in our being until even our mortal body will be swallowed up by Your life! Praise the Lord!

Hallelujah! Death in our entire being is being swallowed up by resurrection life.

This isn’t according to our feelings but according to faith. One fine day, this corruptible will put on incorruptibility and this mortal will put on immortality.

Resurrection begins with the making alive of our dead spirit and is completed with the transfiguration of our corruptible body. And what happens until then?

We need to cooperate with the metabolic transformation of our fallen soul by the Life-Giving Spirit through the exercise of our spirit and the living out of Christ in our daily life.

Amen brother. The gospel of God is the only announcement of real hope for humanity.

Religions & ideologies demand only obedience with vain promises of utopia that can never be realised. How blessed are we if we respond to the gospel of God.

08/12/24 Christ Nullifying Death, and Bringing Life and Incorruption to Light and Our Remembering Jesus Christ, the Seed of David, Raised from the Dead (Week 4, Day 1)

“Our Savior Christ Jesus, Who Nullified Death and Brought Life and Incorruption to Light through the Gospel: (Part 1) Christ Nullified Death Means that Christ Made Death of None Effect through His Devil-destroying Death and Death-swallowing Resurrection”

Second Timothy 1:10 says, “But now has been manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who nullified death and brought life and incorruption to light through the gospel,” In this verse, Paul tells us that through His work in His death Christ nullified death. The Greek word translated “nullified” also means make of none effect, bring to naught, do away with, abolish, annul, discard. Through His devil-destroying death (Heb 2:14) and death-swallowing resurrection (1Cor 15:52-54), Christ nullified death, making it of none effect.

To nullify death does not mean to remove death but to make it of no effect. Death will not be removed until it is cast into the lake of fire after the millennium (Rev. 20:14). Death will be the last enemy destroyed by the Lord (1 Cor. 15:26). Although death has not yet been removed, it is none the less a fact that it has been nullified through Christ’s death on the cross.

We need to realize that God in Christ died for everything. Christ’s death was not only for us sinners but also for everything, including all creation with the angels. Hebrews 2:9 says that Christ tasted death on behalf of “everything.” This means that He died for “everything.”

The word “everything” is very strong in Greek. Everyone means every man, but Hebrews 2:9 says that Christ tasted death not for everyone but for “everything.” The Lord Jesus’ redemption was accomplished not only for people but for “everything created by God.”

For the believers to be redeemed in their body is also to have death in their entire being swallowed up by the resurrection life unto victory. First Corinthians 15:54 says, “When this corruptible will put on incorruption and this mortal will put on immortality, then the word which is written will come to pass, ‘Death has been swallowed up unto victory.’”

Death means defeat to man. Through Christ’s salvation in the resurrection life, death will be swallowed up unto victory to us, the beneficiaries of Christ’s resurrection life. Hence, the time is coming when the last enemy, death, will not only be destroyed but also swallowed up by resurrection life.

At the last stage of our salvation, the stage of glorification, our fallen body, which have been corrupted by sin through Satan’s temptation, will finally be brought into incorruption because of the saturation of the divine life, which swallowed up death; thus, transfiguring our body into a glorified one ~ free from Satan, sin, self, flesh, and death.

“Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your devil-destroying death and death-swallowing resurrection, which nullified death and brought corruption into incorruption in order for us the be transfigured in our bodies at the Lord’s return. Amen.’

SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Tim. 1:10; Heb. 2:9

That Christ nullified death [2 Tim. 1:10]… means that He made death of none effect through His devil-destroying death (Heb. 2:14) and death-swallowing resurrection (1 Cor. 15:52-54)… Through His resurrection, death has become of none effect; death has lost its power, even its taste. Of course, by overcoming Satan and nullifying death, the Lord Jesus also defeated Hades and the grave…Christ through His resurrection has made this troublesome group of none effect. His resurrection demonstrated that He triumphed over Satan, death, Hades, and the grave.

Death means defeat to man. Through Christ’s salvation in the resurrection life, death will be swallowed up unto victory to us, the beneficiaries of Christ’s resurrection life. In this verse victory is a synonym of resurrection. Resurrection is the victory of life over death.

When death in our entire being is swallowed up by Christ’s resurrection life, the corruptible will put on incorruption. Life is the divine element, even God Himself, imparted into our spirit; incorruption is the consequence of life saturating our body (Rom. 8:11)…When our body is transfigured at the time of the Lord’s coming, our body will become incorruptible. In this way the corruptible will put on incorruption. 💚

Christ nullified death, making it of none effect, through His devil-destroying death (Heb. 2:14) and death-swallowing resurrection (1 Cor. 15:52-54). 2 Tim. 1:10, footnote 2 on “nullified,” Recovery Version Bible

Life is the divine element, even God Himself, imparted into our spirit; incorruption is the consequence of life’s saturating of our body (Rom. 8:11). This life and incorruption are able to counter the death and corruption brought in by the decline among the churches. 2 Tim. 1:10, footnote 4 on “incorruption,” Recovery Version Bible
