We are being Renewed by being Nourished with the Fresh Supply of Resurrection Life

Therefore we do not lose heart; but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner [man] is being renewed day by day. 2 Cor. 4:16

In order for us to live in resurrection, we must be renewed day by day by contacting the Lord to be nourished with the fresh supply of resurrection life; as we contact the Lord, He adds Himself to our being and we are being inwardly renewed. Praise the Lord!

May we be those who do not remain the same but rather, cooperate with the Lord to be renewed day by day.

Our God is a living God; He is life, He has life, He is living, and He does wonderful and marvellous things.

Many Christians think, however, that since we have this living God, He will do many miracles for them. It is true that our God is living and that He can do miracles for us, and indeed He does many things for us.

However, God wants us to know Him, enjoy Him, and experience Him as the God of resurrection.

The living God did many things for the people in the Old Testament, but they were not changed.

Many lived and experienced the miracles God did for them, but they were not inwardly transformed.

The people of Israel, for example, were marvellously delivered from Egypt with its usurpation and were led through the wilderness, being cared for and nourished by God in a miraculous way.

However, their inner nature never changed; they remained stiffnecked and rebellious before God.

In the New Testament we see the apostle Paul who was indeed a believer in Christ who was very much used by God, but in his case it seemed that God did not do many miracles but rather, He allowed Him to go through many sufferings and even remain in prison until his death.

However, Paul experienced and enjoyed the God of resurrection, for even when he despaired of living because of the pressures and persecutions, he put his confidence not on himself but on God who raises the dead.

This is our God today.

Our natural tendency is to ask God to deliver us from suffering and release us from trying situations; however, the Lord wants to rather dispense Himself into us by means of the breaking of the outer man so that the inner man may be renewed by the addition of God’s element.

In a sense, to God it doesn’t matter how harsh or trying the environment is, as long as He does a work of renewing in us to add His element to our being.

May we be those who open to the Lord and not close our being to Him.

May we not insist that God would deliver us from a particular situation or try to escape a certain environment but come to the Lord and allow Him to work Himself into us more for us to be renewed.

Live in Resurrection by being Renewed day by day by being Nourished with the Fresh Supply of the Resurrection Life

So then if anyone is in Christ, [he is] a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, they have become new. 2 Cor. 5:17

As human beings, we pass through many situations, things, and problems, and suffering is the portion of every human being in this world.

However, as believers in Christ, we know that the purpose of all the sufferings is that our outer man would be consumed and our inner man may be renewed.

Therefore, we do not lose heart; but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day (2 Cor. 4:16).

As we pass through afflictions, there needs to be a continual renewing taking place in us day by day so that God can accomplish His heart’s desire to make us the New Jerusalem (Ezek. 36:26; 2 Cor. 4:16; 5:17; Rev. 21:2).

It is up to us, however, whether this renewing takes place. We can complain, we can reject the Lord’s arrangement, and we can even resist God in His work in the outward environment to tear down our natural man.

But we need to realize that today our mortal body, our outer man, is being consumed by the killing work of the church, we can have our inner man metabolically renewed!

Our regenerated spirit with the inward parts of our being (Jer. 31:33; Heb. 8:10; Rom. 7:22, 25) is being metabolically renewed day by day by being nourished with the fresh supply of the resurrection life.

Our Christian life should not be a life in the natural man by the natural strength and for the natural man’s goal; rather, it should be a life in resurrection.

For us to live in resurrection, the death of Christ needs to operate in us. We need to open to the Lord in His killing work through the cross and we need to allow Him to break down our outer man.

This is not a pleasant process, but as we go through it, we can turn to our spirit and enjoy the fresh supply of the resurrection life so that we may be renewed day by day.

We can ask the Lord to supply us. We can open all our situations to Him, and we can simply tell Him that, even though we do not understand why this and that is happening, we want to remain open to His divine dispensing.

Even though we believers in Christ have been regenerated by God and have God’s life in us, we don’t have that much of God in us. So God needs to grow in us. We need to grow with the growth of God (Col. 2:19).

For this is the covenant which I will covenant with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will impart My laws into their mind, and on their hearts I will inscribe them; and I will be God to them, and they will be a people to Me. Heb. 8:10 And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Rev. 21:2For God to grow in us, our natural element needs to decrease; He must increase but we must decrease (John 3:30).

We need to come to the Lord again and again and enjoy the fresh supply of the resurrection life in every situation, in every circumstance, and in every suffering.

Also, we need to come to the Lord’s word, for His words are spirit and life when we exercise our spirit to read and pray over them (John 6:63).

His word supplies us, and His fresh supply of resurrection life enables us to go through whatever situations we are in.

As we enjoy the Lord even in our circumstances and situations, we are being renewed day by day, and the fresh supply of the resurrection life causes us to live in resurrection in all our situations.

God needs to increase in us; He needs to add His new element to our being.

For this, our old element needs to be discharged. Under God’s sovereignty, each one of us has a customized set of circumstances with a particular measure of suffering assigned to us so that our outer man may be consumed and the inner man may be renewed.

Day by day we need to live in resurrection by being renewed through the addition of God’s element to our being.

Then, He will have a way to impart the fresh supply of the resurrection life to every part of our inner being and we can express God even in our suffering.

Lord Jesus, we want to remain in the process of being continually renewed day by day! Amen, Lord, accomplish Your heart’s desire in us to make us the New Jerusalem! We open to You! We do not want to fight our situations nor escape our environment but simply open to Your work of renewing. We want to live in resurrection today by being renewed day by day. Amen, Lord, renew our inner being more today by adding Yourself to us as the new element. Have Your way in us. Have a way to cause our outer man to be broken so that the inner man may be released. Have a way to cause our outer man to be consumed so that the inner man may be renewed. Amen, Lord, grant us the fresh supply of the resurrection life today so that we may be renewed! May we gain more of God today! Amen, Lord, less of us and more of You! Increase in us. Cause us to decrease so that You may increase. More of God and less of us! Hallelujah, we are being renewed day by day!

Contact God, Open ourselves to Him, and let Him come into us to Renew us by Adding Himself to us

So then if anyone is in Christ, [he is] a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, they have become new. 2 Cor. 5:17

God’s desire is to renew us by adding Himself to our being, but He cannot do it and will not do it unless we do not contact Him.

Even though we are believers in Christ who have God’s life and nature, we still need to be renewed so that we may live in resurrection.

The way to be renewed is simple: we need to contact God.

When we contact God, we obtain the fresh supply of the resurrection life and we are being renewed little by little, day by day.

The real Christian life is to have the God of resurrection added into us morning and evening and day by day (Col. 2:19; Rom. 8:10, 6, 11).

So then if anyone is in Christ, [he is] a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, they have become new. 2 Cor. 5:17God renews us not only when we come to the meetings or even only when we come to the Word of God; He wants to renew us continually, moment by moment. So we need to contact the Lord.

We may go through a period of time in which we don’t contact God or pray to Him; during this time, we do everything in ourselves and by ourselves, and God has no way to add Himself to our being. Oh, Lord!

May we never take a break from the Lord but rather, may we contact Him day by day!

In order for us to receive the renewing capacity of the divine life in resurrection, we need to contact God, open ourselves up to Him, and let Him come into us to be a new addition in us day by day (Phil. 2:12-13; 3:10-11; Psa. 18 title; 2 Cor. 4:10-12, 16; Titus 3:5; Eph. 4:23; 5:26).

May we just open ourselves up to the Lord and let Him in.

When we come to have regular and habitual morning watch, may we come to contact the Lord.

We shouldn’t just read the letters and words in the Bible but even more, contact the Lord by praying to Him and calling on His name.

We need to call, Oh Lord Jesus! and touch Him. We need to exercise our spirit to contact the Lord and partake of His riches.

Our calling on the Lord is our spiritual breathing; we need to keep breathing the Lord throughout the day.

As we contact the Lord, He adds more of Himself to us. As we call on His name in all our situations, He renews us.

The title of Psalm 18 is, A human talk with the divine God. We need to have many human talks with the divine God.

As we talk to Him, as we open ourselves up to Him and converse with Him, He has a way to renew us and add His element to our being.

When we contact God, we receive the renewing capacity of the divine life in resurrection and partake of the fresh supply of the resurrection life.

We may not notice this or feel this, but when we contact the Lord, He is adding more of His divine element into our being.

This element renews us in a metabolic way. The Lord in us affects the way we think, the way we speak, and the way we feel toward others and toward all things.

As we are being renewed day by day with the fresh supply of the resurrection life by contacting the Lord, we are inwardly and metabolically changed, and the Lord has a way to be expressed through us.

Sometimes the Lord may allow a storm to happen in our life or in the church life in order for us to be renewed.

On the negative side, a storm causes our outer man to be consumed and pass away.

On the positive side, as we contact the Lord even in the storm, He has a way to renew us little by little, day by day.

May we open to the Lord and tell Him that we do not want to remain the same year after year but rather, we want to be renewed day by day.

May we open to God and receive Him moment by moment so that He can be added into us.

At the same time, may we learn to reject ourselves to receive the death of Christ so that we can cooperate with the Lord within us.

So then if anyone is in Christ, [he is] a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, they have become new. 2 Cor. 5:17
If we allow the death of Christ to operate in us and let the Lord work Himself into us with His divine element, we will enjoy the renewing capacity and the renewing result.

There will be an inward metabolic change in our behavior, in our character, in our disposition, and even in our habits.

This is our daily Christian experience: we are being renewed by the Lord!

When we experience God in Christ day by day, we will see that His intention is to renew us little by little, day by day.

He wants to renew especially our habits, so that we may develop the habit of contacting the Lord in all things and depending on Him for everything.

As we believers in Christ pass through the process of renewing day by day, we will soon become the New Jerusalem, being in a state of being fully renewed!

The holy city is new because there’s no old element in it; there is no element of God’s old creation or the natural man.

May we open ourselves to God day by day so that we may experience His renewing by the enjoyment of the fresh supply of the resurrection life!

May we remain in the process of being renewed so that God can accomplish His heart’s desire!

Lord Jesus, we open ourselves up to You: add more of Yourself to our being. We want to receive the renewing capacity of the divine life in resurrection. Amen, Lord, we want to contact You again and again, even remain in the contact with You, so that You may come in to be a new addition in us day by day! Oh Lord, we do not want to remain the same. We don’t want to be the same this year as we were last year. We want to be renewed day by day, May we have the God of resurrection added into us morning and evening and day by day. Oh, Lord Jesus! Keep our being open to You! Transform us and renew us day by day. May we contact God daily, open ourselves up to Him, and let Him come into us to renew us inwardly. Amen, Lord, renew our mind, emotion, and will. Renew our habits and our behaviour. Renew our character and our disposition. We just open ourselves up to You. Have Your way in us so that our outer man may be consumed and our inner man may be renewed!

As our mortal body, our outer man, is being consumed by the killing work of death, our inner man, that is, our regenerated spirit with the inward parts of our being (Jer. 31:33; Heb. 8:10; Rom. 7:22, 25), is being metabolically renewed day by day with the supply of the resurrection life. (2 Cor. 4:16, After we have been regenerated, we have God, but we do not have much of God. This is why Colossians 2:19 says that we need to grow with the growth of God…We grow by the increase of God within us…When we have God in us to the fullest, we will have the full growth…When God is increasing within us, His new element is being added into us. When the divine element comes into us, it renews us regardless of whether we are slow or quick in our natural disposition. As we are contacting God, God infuses Himself as the divine element into our being. This new element is added into our existing element.

Dear brother, we need to be daily renewed by enjoying the fresh supply of the resurrection life through our fresh contact with the Lord.

When we contact the Lord and let Him work through the environment to tear down our outer man, we are inwardly renewed by the addition of the element of God.

Amen, Lord Jesus, we want to contact You day by day. Renew us more today. Grant us the fresh supply of resurrection life so that we may be organically renewed!

Amen, Lord, we want to open to be renewed day by day.

In all our difficult situations it is easy to reject the lord and do things ourself, but we should realise that if we do not deny ourselves we will remain the same in all these situations.

But praise the Lord that we can experience growth in life just by contacting him.

We will have our inner man renewed day by day so that all of God’s divine elements could become our natural habits.

What is God’s heart desire?

God wants to add His divine element into our being day by day. However, God does not increase in us when we don’t contact Him.

We need to contact God by praying to Him and calling on His name.

Then, we’ll enjoy not only a renewing capacity but also the renewing result: a metabolic change in our behaviour, in our character, in our disposition and even in our habits.

God’s intention is to renew us bit by bit, especially to renew our habits.

This is why God raises up all kinds of environments to consume our outer man so that our inner man can be renewed day by day.

The New Jerusalem has no element of God’s ancient creation. In the NJ, all is new because all is God

Or, being consumed, being wasted away, being worn out. By the continued killing, the working of death, our outer man, that is, our material body with its animating soul (1 Cor. 15:44 and note), is being consumed and worn out. 2 Cor. 4:16 footnote 2 on, decaying

The outer man consists of the body as its organ with the soul as its life and person. The inner man consists of the regenerated spirit as its life and person with the renewed soul as its organ. The life of the soul must be denied (Matt. 16:24-25), but the faculties of the soul — the mind, will, and emotion — must be renewed and uplifted by being subdued (1 Cor. 10:4-5) so that they can be used by the spirit, the person of the inner man. 2 Cor. 4:16 footnote 1 on, outer man….inner man

By being nourished with the fresh supply of the resurrection life. 2 Cor. 4:16 footnote 3 on, renewed
