Hallelujah, the power of God is able to guard us unto the salvation of our soul to be revealed, and we should eagerly expect this marvellous, full, and ultimate salvation and prepare for its splendid revelation! Amen!
As believers in Christ, we need to take up the shield of faith, experience the proving of our faith, and receive the end of our faith – the salvation of our souls.
We need to realize that, on the positive side, the Lord is willing, eager, and available to continually dispense Himself into us to be our faith, our believing ability.
However, on the negative side, Satan is attacking us, and he shoots fiery darts at us, and he wants to weaken our faith.
But praise the Lord, we have the shield of faith which we can take up, and all the fiery darts of the enemy will be quenched.
Yes, Satan attacks us with accusations, temptation, proposals, and lies, and he assaults our mind with snares, questionings, and doubts, but we can take up the shield of faith!
We can exercise our spirit of faith to believe in God, believe in God’s word, and have faith in His heart, in His faithfulness, in His ability to do what He said He will do, in His word, in His will, and in His sovereignty.
Our faith is something very precious, and there is much testing going on for our faith to be proven precious and unto glory.
The proving of our faith is precious, even much more precious than that of gold which perishes.
When our faith is tested, we spontaneously grow in life, Christ grows in us, and our faith grows.
Even more, God is glorified in this world through an approved faith.
May we remain with the Lord, believe into Him, and exercise our spirit of faith to believe in Him and abide in Him, so that our faith may be approved.
If the proving of our faith is found unto praise, glory, and honour, we will receive the end of our faith – the salvation of our souls.
This salvation is ready to be revealed to us at the last time, the grace to be brought to us at the revelation of Jesus Christ in glory.
We are in the process of being transformed in our souls today, and our faith is being tested to be approved.
When the Lord returns, if our faith is approved by testing, we will receive the salvation of our souls, and He is glorified.
May we be those who cooperate with Him today by not indulging in lusts nor allowing our soul to be delighted in the pleasures of this age but deny the soulish enjoyment today to gain our soul when the Lord returns!
The Power of God is Able to Guard us unto the Salvation of Souls to be Revealed at the Lord’s Return
1 Pet. 1:5 says that we are being guarded by the power of God through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed at the last time.
On one hand, we cooperate with the Lord by losing our soulish enjoyment in this age for His sake.
On the other hand, it is the Lord with His power that guards us, for we are being guarded by the power of God through faith.
We need to be guarded. If we would enjoy our heavenly inheritance today and participate in it, we need to be guarded; we are guarded by the power of God.
There are many things that tend to carry us away from the Lord, and we are distracted from the enjoyment of the Lord again and again.
When something carries us away from the Lord, we lose the enjoyment of the inheritance of eternal life.
Therefore, we need to be guarded and protected by the power of God.
The means by which we are guarded unto the full salvation of our souls being which is to be revealed is the power of God.
The secondary means through which the power of God becomes effective is our faith.
How wonderful it is to know that the power of God is able to guard us. He can guard us against our weaknesses, from the enemy who deceives us, and from ourselves.
The Lord is fighting for us, praying for us, and working in us and around us to guard us.
Faith is the mean through which the power of God becomes effective in guarding us.
We need to believe that God is able to guard us; we believe in God’s guarding power.
We don’t fear what may happen, for we are being guarded by the power of God.
And faith is the means by which the power of God becomes effective.
God is able to not only generate faith in us but also maintain our faith, increase our faith, guard our faith, and perfect our faith; He is able.
We are being guarded through the power of God by faith.
We believe in the sovereign God; we believe in His guarding power, that He will protect us and guard us to the end.
We do not trust in ourselves and we do not rely on our own capacity to go on and remain in the Lord’s way.
The power of God is on our side, and faith is on our side; we cooperate with the power of God by exercising our spirit of faith to believe in Him and in His keeping power.
If we cooperate with the power of God by faith, we will be kept in the right position to enjoy our heavenly inheritance.
Amen, blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has regenerated us unto a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead! Amen!
And He regenerated us unto an inheritance, incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, kept in the heavens for us, who are being guarded by the power of God through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed at the last time (1 Pet. 1:3-5).
Thank the Lord for His power. He can keep us and guard us through faith unto the salvation of our souls, until the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ!
We all can pray and tell the Lord from the bottom of our hearts,
Thank You, God and Father, for regenerating us unto a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead unto an inheritance kept in the heavens for us! Hallelujah, we are being guarded by the power of God through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed at the last time! Lord, we need You to guard us by the power of God. You know our weaknesses. You know the sin that so easily entangles us. You know what in us and around us takes us away from You and brings us away from the enjoyment of Christ. We trust in Your keeping power and not in our ability or capacity to keep ourselves. Keep us and guard us by the power of God unto the salvation of our souls!
Eagerly Awaiting the Salvation of our Souls and Preparing ourselves for its Splendid Revelation
The power of God is able to keep us and guard us unto the salvation of our souls (1 Pet. 1:5).
On our side, we should eagerly expect this marvellous, full, and ultimate salvation and prepare ourselves for its splendid revelation (Rom. 8:19, 23).
We may be in suffering, under trials, and with many limitations around us, but we need to look away unto Jesus and eagerly await the salvation of our souls.
When the Lord was on the cross, as He was suffering for our redemption, He looked to the joy set before Him.
May we all lift our eyes from the outward situation around us and from the inner travails, and look away unto Jesus, focusing on the joy set before us!
The salvation in 1 Pet. 1:5 is not salvation from eternal perdition but the salvation of our souls from the dispensational punishment of the Lord’s governmental dealing.
According to the divine revelation in God’s word, God’s full salvation has many aspects and items, and it is in three main stages.
First, there’s the initial stage, the stage of regeneration.
In the stage of regeneration, the initial stage of the full salvation of the Triune God, we are saved from God’s condemnation and from eternal perdition (John 3:18, 16).
This stage includes redemption, positional sanctification (1 Pet. 1:2; 1 Cor. 6:11), justification, reconciliation, and regeneration.
In the second stage of the full salvation of the Triune God, the progressing stage – the stage of transformation, many things take place.
In this stage we are freed from sin, sanctified in our disposition (Rom. 6:19, 22), we grow in life, we are transformed, we are built up, and we’re being matured.
In the progressing stage, God is freeing us from the dominion of the indwelling sin – which is the law of sin and of death – by the law of the Spirit of life, and this takes place through the subjective working of the effectiveness of the death of Christ in us (see Rom. 6:6-7; 7:16-20; 8:2).
We are being sanctified by the Holy Spirit (Rom. 15:16) with His holy nature, through His discipline (Heb. 12:10) and His judgment in His own house (1 Pet. 4:17).
Also, we grow in the divine life (1 Cor. 3:6-7) until we are mature in His life (Rev. 14:15).
We are transformed by having the inward parts of our soul renewed by the life-giving Spirit (2 Cor. 3:6, 17-18; Rom. 12:2; Eph. 4:23) through the working of all things unto good (Rom. 8:28).
In this stage we are built together into a spiritual house for God’s dwelling (1 Pet. 2:5; Eph. 2:22). All these are for the completion of God’s full salvation.
In the third stage, the completing stage, also called the stage of glorification, we experience the redemption (transfiguration) of our body, we are conformed to the Lord’s image, we are glorified, we inherit God’s kingdom, we participate in Christ’s kingship, and we enter into the topmost enjoyment of the Lord! Hallelujah!
In the stage of glorification, our mortal body will be freed from the slavery of corruption of the old creation into the freedom of the glory of God’s new creation (Rom. 8:21).
Also, our soul will be delivered out of the realm of trials and sufferings (1 Pet. 1:6; 4:12; 3:14; 5:9) into a new realm, one that is full of glory (4:13; 5:10).
In this stage, we also will share in and enjoy all that the Triune God is, has, and has accomplished, attained, and obtained.
This is the salvation of our souls, the salvation that is ready to be revealed to us at the last time, the grace to be brought to us at the revelation of Christ in glory (1:13; Matt. 16:27; 25:31).
And this is the end of our faith.
Unto this salvation, the full salvation of the Triune God which results in the salvation of our souls, the end of our faith, we are being guarded by the power of God so that we may obtain it (1 Pet. 1:9).
May we eagerly expect such marvellous salvation (Rom. 8:23) and prepare ourselves for its splendid revelation (Rom. 8:19)!
Lord Jesus, thank You for bringing us into the full salvation of the Triune God. Hallelujah, we are being guarded by the power of God unto the salvation of our souls, the end of our faith. Amen, Lord, we eagerly expect this marvellous, full, and ultimate salvation, and we trust in Your guarding power until Your revelation. We want to prepare ourselves for the splendid revelation of the salvation of our souls. Make us part of Your bride, the overcoming bride that will bring You back. May we be made ready and be prepared for Your return so that You may rapture us when You come back. We do not look at the things behind us but look away unto Jesus to be infused with faith, have our faith developed, be perfected in faith, be guarded in faith, and have our faith completed.

– Thy anointing Spirit / Me shall permeate, / All my soul and spirit / Thou wouldst saturate; / Every part transforming / Till conformed to Thee, / Till Thy life shall bring me / To maturity. / I would give myself, Lord, / Fully unto Thee, / That Thy heart’s desire / Be fulfilled in me. / I no more would struggle / To myself reform, / Thus in me to hinder / What Thou wouldst perform. (Hymns #841)
– We go in faith, our own great weakness feeling, / And needing more each day Thy grace to know: / Yet from our hearts a song of triumph pealing; / We rest on Thee, and in Thy Name we go. / We rest on Thee, our Shield and our Defender: / Thine is the battle, Thine shall be the praise / When reigning in the Kingdom of Thy splendor; / Victors, we rest with Thee, through endless days. (Hymns #881)
– Christ is the hope of glory, He is my history: / His life is my experience, for He is one with me; / He comes to bring me into His glorious liberty, / That one with Him completely I’ll ever be. / He comes, He comes, Christ comes to glorify me! / My body He’ll transfigure, like His own it then will be. / He comes, He comes, redemption to apply! / As Hope of glory He will come, His saints to glorify. (Hymns #949)
[“Salvation” in 1 Peter 1:5 is] not salvation from eternal perdition but the salvation of our souls from the dispensational punishment of the Lord’s governmental dealing (v. 9 and footnote 2). The full salvation of the Triune God is in three stages and comprises many items: (1) The initial stage, the stage of regeneration, which is composed of redemption, sanctification (positional—v. 2; 1 Cor. 6:11), justification, reconciliation, and regeneration… This initial salvation has saved us from God’s condemnation and from eternal perdition (John 3:18, 16). (2) The progressing stage, the stage of transformation, which is composed of freedom from sin, sanctification (mainly dispositional—Rom. 6:19, 22), growth in life, transformation, building up, and maturing. In this stage God is freeing us from the dominion of indwelling sin—the law of sin and of death—by the law of the Spirit of life, through the subjective working of the effectiveness of the death of Christ in us (Rom. 6:6-7; 7:16-20; 8:2); sanctifying us by His Holy Spirit (Rom. 15:16), with His holy nature, through His discipline (Heb. 12:10) and His judgment in His own house (1 Pet. 4:17); causing us to grow in His life (1 Cor. 3:6-7); transforming us by renewing the inward parts of our soul by the life-giving Spirit (2 Cor. 3:6,17-18; Rom. 12:2; Eph. 4:23) through the working of all things (Rom. 8:28); building us together into a spiritual house for His dwelling (1 Pet. 2:5; Eph. 2:22); and maturing us in His life (Rev. 14:15 and footnotes) for the completion of His full salvation. 1 Pet. 1:5, footnote 5, part 1
If we would enjoy our heavenly inheritance today and participate in it, we need to be guarded… In the past we all have experienced, at least to some extent,… that when we are carried away from the Lord by something, we lose the enjoyment of the inheritance of eternal life. Therefore, we need to be guarded, protected. The power of God is the means by which we are being guarded. Faith is the secondary means through which the power of God becomes effective in guarding us. Thus, the power of God is on God’s side, and the faith is on our side… If we cooperate [with the power of God] in this way, we shall be kept in the right position to enjoy our heavenly inheritance. [In 1 Peter 1:5] three prepositions are used concerning our coming salvation… By refers to cause, through to the means, and unto to the result. (Life-study of 1 Peter, pp. 39-40, by Witness Lee)
