Pay the Price to have the Truth Wrought into us and Constituted into our Being

...house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and base of the truth. 1 Tim. 3:15

We need to have the truth wrought into our being, constituted into our being, so that we may be able to properly explain the truth in God’s word to bring others not merely a temporary inspiration but the solid truth for them to enjoy and experience Christ.

When we speak of the truth, we do not merely refer to the doctrines in the word of God; the truth is the shining of the light.

God is light, and when He shines, this is truth.

He conveys Himself to us by means of truth, and when we receive and understand the truth, we receive God’s light and life.

Whether we are preaching the gospel or reading the Bible, we touch the Triune God Himself embodied in Christ and realized as the Spirit, for God is embodied and realized for us to touch, enjoy, and experience today.

When we speak of coming to the full knowledge of the truth, this refers not merely to knowing the Bible so well that we have many verses and chapters memorized and we know all the key teachings in God’s word.

We may be able to memorize many verses and recite them, and we may understand and be able to explain the main doctrines in the Bible, but we may not arrive at the full knowledge of the truth.

We need to know the truth in full.

We have to come to the full knowledge of the truth according to God’s economy, according to how God was processed, embodied in the Son, consummated as the Spirit to be everything to us, to mingle Himself with us, and to become one with us.

This is God’s economy, and this is the truth as the shining of light into which we need to enter.

Truth needs to constitute us and saturate us. We need to have a full understanding and knowledge of the truth.

The word truth is used more than one hundred times in the New Testament; it is a very rich and profound word denoting all the realities of God’s New Testament economy to be the content of the divine revelation which is being conveyed and disclosed in God’s word.

The truth is the divine realities of the divine economy to become the content of the divine revelation being conveyed by the word of God.

The holy word of God in the Bible is the divine revelation and the content of the realities of God’s economy.

May we see this truth and possess it, even be constituted with it and speak it.

May the truth be wrought into our being to constitute us and become our intrinsic constitution.

We need to have the Truth Wrought into us and Constituted into our Being

I have no greater joy than these things, that I hear that my children are walking in the truth. 3 John 4

We need to not only know the truth, read and study the truth, and be filled with the word of God, but even more: we need to have the truth wrought into us and constituted into our being (1 John 1:8; 2:4; 2 John 1-2; 3 John 3-4).

Many times in the church life we encourage one another to get into the truth, and indeed, this is our need.

But after we get into the truth, after we read the Bible with the footnotes, after we read the morning revival, after we read the life-studies, how much of the truth has been wrought into us?

Did we allow the truth to be wrought into us and constitute our being?

The elder to the chosen lady and to her children, whom I love in truthfulness, and not only I but also all those who know the truth, For the sake of the truth which abides in us and will be with us forever. 2 John 1-2Or do we just read the Bible and the ministry and we receive a temporary inspiration, which after a few days evaporates?

We need to let the truth be wrought into us and constitute our being. If we say we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

The truth has to be in us.

We are reading the Bible every day and we enjoy so many portions of the ministry day by day, but do we allow the truth to be in us?

The apostle John said that he had no greater joy than hearing that his children are walking in the truth.

They lived and walked in the truth, for truth was constituted in their being, and they lived in truth.

To be constituted with the truth is to have the intrinsic element of the divine revelation wrought into us to become our constitutent, our intrinsic being, our organic constitution.

What is the intrinsic element of the divine revelation?

It is the very Triune God – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit – embodied in the word to be the very intrinsic element of the divine revelation to be wrought into us.

The way the truth can get into us is by means of our mentality; when it remains in our memory, it becomes a truth in our being.

The truth has to go through our mentality and enter our understanding.

Then, we will have an accumulation of the truth, and we will be a person who is continually under the constant nourishment.

When we meet others, we will be able to share and present the truth to them not only to inspire them or stir them up but to make them solid and constituted with the truth.

This doesn’t mean merely that we know the Bible well, we know what it means to have the head covering, what is footwashing, how we should be baptized by immersion, etc. but even more that we have the element of the divine revelation wrought into us.

The Triune God in His Divine Trinity is working Himself into our being.

The matter of the Divine Trinity is one of the hardest in the Bible, and we need not only to understand but even more, to see, enjoy, and live in and with the Divine Trinity.

The very Triune God is the substance and structure of the entire revelation of God.

We should be full of feeling about the Triune God, knowing that the Father is the source, the Son is the course, and the Spirit is the flow.

We need to be filled with the Triune God, for He is the intrinsic element of the divine revelation.

Unfortunately, in our natural being, we all tend to be drawn toward many superficial things.

There is a desperate need to have the truth wrought into us to become our constitution.

There is the desperate need of the living truth to produce the church, to help the church exist, and to build up the church (1 Tim. 3:15).

The only way for the truth to get into you is through your mentality. Then it remains in your memory. If you do not understand, the truth cannot get into you. The truth gets into you through your mentality, your understanding. Also, if the truth gets into your memory, it becomes a constant and long-term nourishment. Then you have an accumulation of the truth, and you are a person continually under the constant nourishment. You will then know how to present the truth to others, not merely to inspire them or to stir them up but to make them solid and constituted with the truth. Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1984, vol. 2, “Elders’ Training, Book 3: The Way to Carry Out the Vision,” pp. 312-313The truth cannot be something that’s just doctrinal, objective, even dead or organizational; the truth must be living because the truth is a living person – the very Triune God Himself.

Only such a living truth can produce the church and build it up!

When we are constituted with the solid truth, this truth constituted into our being becomes in us a constant and long-term nourishment (1 Tim. 4:6).

We may be able to memorize some verses and enjoy the footnotes, and we may be able to read a few life-study messages every day.

What matters is that we allow the truth to be wrought into us.

The truth needs to be wrought into us to be constituted into our being.

The processed and consummated Triune God as the intrinsic element of the truth needs to become our solid enjoyment.

This will nourish us constantly for many days, for the truth wrought into us becomes a source of supply in times of need.

When we pass through positive or negative situations, the solid truth in our being will continually nourish us and supply us.

Lord Jesus, we want to have the truth wrought into us and constituted into our being. We open to You, Lord, so that we may have the very intrinsic element of the divine revelation wrought into us to become our constituent. May the Triune God in Christ as the Spirit be wrought into our being to become our intrinsic being, our organic constitution. Amen, Lord, we want to be saved from merely skating on the surface; we want to dive into the deeper truths in God’s word and allow them to saturate us and constitute us. We want to be filled with the Triune God and all that He is doing in us and for us. May the living truth in God’s word constitute us to produce the church, to help the church exist, and to build up the church. Amen, Lord Jesus, may there be the solid truth in our being, constituted into us, to be our constant and long-term nourishment.

We need to Pay the Price to Learn the Truth and be Absolute for the Truth to Protect the Riches of God’s Interests

Buy truth, and do not sell [it;] / [Buy] wisdom and instruction and understanding. Prov. 23:23If the truth is wrought into us to be constituted into our being, we will be able to protect the interests of the riches of God’s divinity and the attainments of His consummation (Rev. 21:12, 17).

The New Jerusalem had a great and high wall around it to protect all that God had and had accomplished, which was within the wall of the city.

We need to have a great and high wall, even be part of this wall, in order to protect the interests of God’s divinity and the attainments of His consummation.

How much truth has been wrought into us determines how much of God’s interests we can protect.

Today God’s divinity has been mocked; many say it is a heresy to believe that we are sons of God and that we’re becoming God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead.

When they oppose this great truth, they mock the interest of the riches of God’s divinity on the earth.

We need to not be swept away but rather, be constituted with the truth, pay the price to learn the truth and be absolute for the truth.

There are a lot of deviations and misaimings out there; there is a lot of darkness, and if we are not clear, we will be swayed and swept away.

It won’t take that much. Unless we are solidly constituted and built up as the high wall in the New Jerusalem, it is easy to be swept away.

We need to have our being constituted with the truth, built up with the truth, by having the divine reality wrought into our being.

The Lord’s word, the truth, is in the Bible, but the Bible needs the proper interpretation (2 Tim. 2:15).

We need to pay the price to learn the truth (Prov. 23:23).

We should not sell the truth but rather, buy it; we need to pay a price to learn the truth and have the truth wrought into us to be constituted into our being.

Day by day we need to spend some time in the word of God to read, pray, and fellowship with the Lord.

Even more, we need to pay a higher price to allow the truth to be wrought into us.

The Lord will bring us to certain situations and in particular environments for the truth to not only be memorised by us but even more, wrought into our being.

We want to be a person of truth, a person who walks in the truth and is constituted with the truth.

The truth is absolute in itself, and we must be absolute for the truth (2 John 1-2, 4; 3 John 3-4, 7-8).

Because the truth is God, God is truth, this means that just as God is absolute, so the truth is absolute.

We cannot compromise the word of God.

We cannot agree with God’s word and speak it when we agree with it and it matches our experience, but not agree with God’s word or not speak it when it touches things in our being.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, an unashamed workman, cutting straight the word of the truth. 2 Tim. 2:15 But if I delay, [I write] that you may know how one ought to conduct himself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and base of the truth. 1 Tim. 3:15We cannot lower the standard of the truth to the standard of our feelings or experiences.

We cannot say that the high peak of the truth is too high simply because we have not reached it yet in our experience.

The truth is so high because the truth is God Himself, the shining out of God.

We are so low, and our condition many times is very low. This means we need to pray that, regardless of where we are and what our condition is, we may stand with the truth.

The truth stands, for the truth is the truth. Let all men be a liars, for God is truth and He is always right.

We may be short, but the truth is still the truth. The truth is absolute in itself, even when we’re not up to its standard.

Even when the truth is much higher than what we can experience, the truth is the truth, and we need to pay the price to be constituted with the truth, having the truth wrought into our being to constitute us.

Lord Jesus, we want to pay the price to buy the truth and be constituted with the truth. Save us from being superficial in coming to Your word and in getting into the truth. Constitute us, Lord, and have Your way to work Yourself into our being as we get into the truth. We want to be those who have their being constituted with the truth and built up with the truth. We want to be those who are so constituted with the truth that we can protect the interests of the riches of God’s divinity and the attainments of His consummation. Amen, Lord, though we are not absolute, the truth is absolute, for the truth is God Himself shining out. Though we may not fully understand the truth, we say amen to Your word. Amen, the truth is absolute! Let all men be a liars and let God be true! Lord, we are short, but we are still for the truth. We want to know the truth, be filled with the truth, and speak the truth!

If you merely read [and do not study] the Life-studies, you will receive only a temporary nourishment. That will become only a kind of inspiration to you,…like a vapor in the air. When what we read becomes a truth in our being, this nourishment remains forever…You must have the truth. The only way for the truth to get into you is through your mentality. Then it remains in your memory. If you do not understand, the truth cannot get into you. The truth gets into you through your mentality, your understanding. We need to pay the price to buy the truth, have the truth wrought into our being, and be constituted with the truth.

The truth is the Triune God Himself shining out and infusing Himself into us to become our constitution and our long term nourishment to supply us and even to flow out of us for others to hear the truth and be nourished.

Lord Jesus, we give ourselves to be constituted with the living truth in God’s word. Nourish us with Yourself as the truth. Constitute us with the truth.

May we be those who speak the truth for the building up of the church as the Body of Christ!

1 Tim. 3:15 …The church of the living God, the pillar and base of the truth.

1 Tim. 4:6 If you lay these things before the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, being nourished with the words of the faith and of the good teaching which you have closely followed.

2 Tim. 2:15 …Present yourself…to God, an unashamed workman, cutting straight the word of the truth.

Praise the Lord!🙋🏽😃 Amen!!🙏

Dear brother, if we are to present the truth to others, that they would be solid in the truth we need the long term, constant nourishment of the word – even the interpreted word – such as the Life Study messages – coming to it not just to read and gain temporary inspiration but the understanding as we study it.

Then what we understand is retained in our memory to be such a nourishment to others to be solid in the truth for the building up of the Body of Christ.

O Lord! We want the long term nourishment to minister Yourself to others!

I enjoyed these two portions from the spoken message.

“There is an intrinsic element in the divine revelation, which is the Triune God—God the Father, the Son, and the Spirit—as the unique reality, the unique truth. This unique, intrinsic element in the divine revelation needs to be wrought into us.”

Amen Lord do it in us

“The Triune God is the very substance and structure of the entire divine revelation. We should be full of feeling about the Triune God. If we are those who are constituted with the truth, we will be excited every time we hear about the Triune God. The Father is the source, the Son is the course, and the Spirit is the flow. Hallelujah.”

This is my prayer today dear brother.

Dearest Lord, regardless of my knowledge of the truth, I am standing with the truth. Amen Lord .You know I am short, yet despite my shortness, I am still for the truth. Amen.

Keep enjoying the Triune God today dear brother. Enjoy the wonderful Christ, in your work place.

Amen brother. The only way for the truth to get into us is through our mentality.

If we have no understanding, the truth cannot get into us. We must spend time with the Lord, not merely reading His Word, but studying it until it gets into our memory.

The mind is the gateway to the soul.

If the truth gets deep into our mind, eventually it will penetrate & saturate our will & emotions.

Then, we’ll have both understanding & experience, and will know how to present the truth to others.

Amen, we must experience the truth in order to gain the full knowledge.

It sounds alarming, to experience the truth but the truth is light and light is Christ Jesus.

How reassuring that is for me

Brothers and sisters, we have to learn to take such a stand. We can never overemphasize a truth just because we feel that way, nor can we shut our mouth to a truth just because we feel differently. Once we give up trying to influence God’s truth according to our feelings, we are qualified to work and to lead others according to the Lord’s leading. A basic requirement for us to be in the work is to be broken and to have our subjectivity dealt with. If our subjectivity still dominates us, we will lead God’s work astray as soon as it is put into our hands. This is terrible. It is a terrible thing for a person to act rashly and speak carelessly. We should learn to stop interfering with other people’s business. We should never dictate the lives or affairs of others with our own subjectivity. God does not interfere with man’s free will. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was placed in the garden of Eden. God told man not to eat of it, but He did not keep man away from it with a fiery sword. If the fiery sword in chapter three had been used in chapter two to guard the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, man would never have sinned. It would have been easy for God to do this. But He did not do this. Instead, He said, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die” (Gen. 2:17). If man insisted on eating it, that was his own business.

…The word truth is used in the New Testament more than one hundred times. Its denotation in each occurrence is determined by its context. For instance, in John 3:21, according to the context, it denotes uprightness (the opposite of evil — John 3:19-20), which is the reality manifested in a man who lives in God according to what He is and which corresponds with the divine light, which is God, as the source of the truth, manifested in Christ. In John 4:23-24, according to the context of that chapter and also according to the entire revelation of John’s Gospel, it denotes the divine reality becoming man’s genuineness and sincerity (the opposite of the hypocrisy of the immoral Samaritan worshipper — John 4:16-18) for the true worship of God. The divine reality is Christ, who is the reality (John 14:6), as the reality of all the offerings of the Old Testament for the worship of God (John 1:29; 3:14) and as the fountain of living water, the life-giving Spirit (John 4:7-15), partaken of and drunk by His believers to be the reality within them, which eventually becomes their genuineness and sincerity, in which they worship God with the worship that He seeks. In John 5:33; 18:37, according to the entire revelation of the Gospel of John, truth denotes the divine reality embodied, revealed, and expressed in Christ as the Son of God. In John 8:32, 40, 44-46, according to the context of that chapter, it denotes the reality of God revealed in His word (John 8:47) and embodied in Christ, the Son of God (John 8:36), which sets us free from the bondage of sin (see note John 8:32 note 1a).

Here in v. 6, truth denotes the revealed reality of God in its aspect of the divine light. It is the issue and realization of the divine light mentioned in v. 5. The divine light is the source in God; truth is the issue and realization of the divine light in us (see note 1 John 4:82c; cf. John 3:19-21). When we abide in the divine light, which we enjoy in the fellowship of the divine life, we practice the truth — what we have realized in the divine light. When we abide in the source, its issue becomes our practice.

Every saved person should have a full knowledge, a complete realization, of all the real things revealed in God’s Word mainly about Christ as the embodiment of God and the church as the Body of Christ.
Inspiration is like a vapor. The truth in our being is nourishment. The only way for the truth to get into you is through our mentality, our understanding. Also, if the truth gets into your memory, it becomes a constant and long-term nourishment. Then you have an accumulation of the truth, and you are a person continually under the constant nourishment. You will then know how to present the truth to others.
Lord Jesus have mercy on us to be merely in Your recovery years and years and yet not having the intrinsic element of the divine revelation wrought and constituted in our being. Lord we don’t want merely the “hear say” truth. Lord grant us the understanding and experience of the truth item by item and point by point.
Lord for the sake of the interest of the riches of Your divinity on the earth and the attainments of Your consummation. Lord Your church, which we are, must be the pillar and base of the truth.
Lord may we be those who build the walls. 🙏🙏🙏
