Once you’re born of someone, you cannot be unborn; once you’re born of God with the divine life and nature, whatever you do, you cannot be un-born! Our life-relationship with God cannot be broken – we are and will always be His children in life and nature, partaking of all that He is!
Our life relationship with the Lord can never be broken because we have received the eternal life of God which enables us to by no means perish forever. Even more – God’s hand is powerful: nothing can snatch us out of His hand!
This is His promise to us in John 10:28-29,
And I give to them eternal life, and they shall by no means perish forever, and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
The Lord gave us the eternal life – now we will by no means perish forever! Nothing can snatch us out of God’s hand and out of the Lord’s hand! What can be broken is not the life-relationship with God, but the fellowship with the Lord.
Just like there can be something blocking the current of electricity, so our fellowship with the Lord can be interrupted, severed, or broken. Yes, nothing can snatch us out of God’s hand and yes, we will live forever since we have the eternal life, but if we sin, we sever our fellowship with the Lord.
Just like the parents with the children – whatever the children do, they still are their parent’s children since they were born of them; but the sweet fellowship and communication between them can be severed / broken if the children do something bad and do not regret / confess.
- The fellowship of life can firstly be broken by sins – if we do something which we know is sinful, this breaks, cuts off, the fellowship of life. As the Lord enlightens us, we see that many of the things we used to do previously and sometimes even now we continue to do – are not pleasing to Him, rather, they are sins in His eyes. The more we treasure the fellowship of life with the Lord, the more we will not sin, since we don’t want to sever our fellowship with Him!
- If we disobey God, this surely cuts off the fellowship of life – when we know that the Lord wants us to do something or He directs us in a certain way, yet we are stubborn and do not listen to Him, this cuts the flow of life. The Lord within us speaks to us and outside of us in His Word He supplies and encourages us, but if we don’t obey His speaking, the fellowship of life is broken. The more we obey His speaking within and without, the more fellowship of life we have, the more the Lord flows within us!
- If we don’t care for the sense of life, this will break the fellowship of life. The Lord speaks to us not just by His Word and the other believers without, but the divine life He has given us has a sense of life which speaks to us. If we don’t listen to the Lord’s voice within, to the sense of life, we interrupt our fellowship with the Lord. This divine life in us has its own opinion and feelings about the way we live our life, we make our bed, we talk to others, etc – we need to pay attention to the sense of life within…
- If we don’t follow the inner anointing(1 John 2:27), our fellowship with the Lord is broken. The inner anointing teaches us about all things, guiding us into the reality of all that the Lord is to us. Mainly, the inner anointing from God teaches us to abide in the Lord – if we don’t abide in the Lord, our fellowship with Him is severed.
If we notice that our fellowship with the Lord is severed or broken, we need to restore it – 1 John 1:9 says,
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
The Lord is faithful in His word and righteous in the redemptive work of the Lord on the cross to forgive us of our sins – once we confess them. When our fellowship with the Lord is broken, we need to come to Him and ask for His shining – in His light, we simply need to agree with Him by confessing our sins! .
We confess our sins, and He forgives us of our sins! We confess our sins, and He cleanses us from our sins! He not only forgives us, but He also cleanses us – there is no sin that is left there if it is confessed!
By confessing our sins to the Lord in His shining light, our fellowship with the Lord is restored. We enjoy Him again in this sweet flow of life.
Just like the children when they confess their mistake / wrongdoing to their parents and their fellowship / communication with their parents is restored, so it is between us and the Lord. We firstly need to come to Him – He will shine on us, expose us, and we can’t help but in love confess our sins and accept His forgiveness and cleansing…. our fellowship with Him is restored!
Thank You Lord for such a provision! Thank You we are sons of God – our life relationship can never be broken! Lord, remind us to come to You whenever we feel our fellowship is interrupted! O, Lord, how much we need to be in Your light, confessing whatever You are shining upon! Lord, save us from staying away from You and not being in fellowship with You! We treasure the sweet flow of life, we treasure the fellowship of life! Thank You Lord, we can confess our sins! Your blood is available to wash us and cleanse us! Thank You for being faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness!
