This was my first college age conference and after the messages I know that it definitely was not my last! We covered the Gospel of John which is about “life and building”, and one of the verses I really enjoyed was John 10:10b, which says,
I have come that they may have life and may have it abundantly.
This verse just made me realise that all God wants is to bring the divine life into men, and in order for us to obtain this life we only need to be hungry for it! We should ALWAYS be hungry and thirsty for this Divine Life!
After this conference I realised that I look for satisfaction, happiness, and joy in the world, but all these things never seem to last!
This is just like the wedding in John 2:1-11 – which really is a picture of the human life – our life is like the wedding feast. We need to understand that at some point “the wine will run out” – everything we get in the world will eventually end! What we need is the best wine – Christ is the best wine, He will satisfy us all – and this wine is “abundant”! Hallelujah, His life is abundant.
Lord keep this hunger in me for the divine life – I just want to feed on You everyday! Lord, increase my capacity to receive this divine life!
The only thing that prevents us from receiving this life is PRIDE – we just need to be humble towards God! For us to receive this life is so easy – just open your heart, call on His name, and touch the Spirit in the Word of God.
