In the New Jerusalem we will See God’s Face, Enjoy His Shining and Shine Him Forth

And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon that they should shine in it, for the glory of God illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb. Rev. 21:23

In the New Jerusalem, God’s redeemed people will see God’s face continually, His name will be on their foreheads, and the unlimited glory of God will shine forth as light with Christ as the lamp through the New Jerusalem to the whole universe.

Hallelujah, our eternal destiny as believers in Christ is to be under God’s shining and even to shine God forth as the New Jerusalem for eternity to all the nations on the earth! Praise the Lord!

In this last week on the morning revival on, The Christian Life, we focused mainly on the Triune God in Christ being life to us by shining in our hearts.

The god of this age has blinded the thoughts of the unbelievers that the illumination of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine on them.

But praise the Lord, we were unveiled and we saw something of God’s glory shining on the face of Christ, and we believed into the Lord.

The God who said, Out of darkness light shall shine, is the One who shined in our hearts to illuminate the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Praise the Lord! He shined in our hearts.

His shining illuminated the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, and we simply believed.

Today we are still under His shining; His shining is continual, even eternal.

The more we open to the Lord and have Him shine in our hearts, the more He makes us luminaries for us also to shine on others for them to have the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ! Wow, Hallelujah!

As the Lord shines on us, the face of Jesus Christ in our spirit is our treasure; we are earthen vessels, but praise the Lord, we have a treasure in this earthen vessel, and the excellency of the power is of God, not of us. Amen!

All genuine believers in Christ have a priceless treasure – the indwelling Christ, the shining face of Jesus Christ.

The more we spend time with the Lord in a personal and intimate way, and the more we attend the meetings of the church to have God’s shining, the more we appreciate the indwelling Christ, the Christ of glory, who is the treasure in our earthen vessel.

The more we enjoy Him as the treasure within us, the more we become ministers of the new covenant with a priceless ministry; our ministry is nothing but the dispensing and shining of God into others. Amen!

May we daily turn our heart to the Lord to behold Him face to face, having an unveiled face to behold Him and reflect Him so that He may transform us into His image from glory to glory! Amen!

He transforms us to such an extent that we who were once darkness are now light in the Lord!

We are children of light walking in the light and bearing the fruit of light. Hallelujah!

This means that, as we spend time in the Lord’s presence and look in the index of His eyes, we express Him, for we not only behold Him but also reflect Him, having God expressed as the reality of our daily walk. Praise the Lord!

And for eternity we will see His face, we will beam Him to others, we will enjoy His shining, and we will live under His illumination and express His light as the New Jerusalem for all to see. Hallelujah!

For Eternity we will See God’s Face, enjoy His Shining, and Shine Him Forth as the New Jerusalem

And they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more; and they have no need of the light of a lamp and of the light of the sun, for the Lord God will shine upon them; and they will reign forever and ever. Rev. 22:4-5
Today we believers in Christ enjoy the Lord’s shining as we spend time with Him to behold Him with an unveiled face; the result is that little by little we shine Him forth, expressing Him to others, for we reflect what we behold (2 Cor. 3:18).

As we daily enjoy God’s shining and let Him illuminate every part of our being, we walk in the light, we are children of light, and we bear the fruit of the light.

The church becomes the house of God full of God’s life and light, and the Lord’s life has a way to shine and illuminate all those who come in. Praise the Lord!

This will consummate in the New Jerusalem, where one of the blessings is that we will see God’s face, and His name will be on our foreheads (Rev. 22:4).

For eternity the Lord will shine upon us, and we will see God’s face.

He will shine upon His saints for eternity, and we will forever be under His shining!

What a blessing for us to see His face and be under His continual shining!

Both God and the Lamb will shine on the redeemed ones for eternity.

There will be no need of the light of a lamp and of the light of the sun, for the Lord God will shine upon us, and we will reign forever and ever (v. 5). Wow, Hallelujah!

If today we allow the Triune God to dispense Himself as life into us and we let His life shine in us and within us, we will become beings of light, luminaries in this dark world.

Little by little, we will shine with the Lord as light, and eventually, we will become even as He is, for the New Jerusalem will shine forth the glory of God!

The holy city has the glory of God (Rev. 21:11).

Wow, the Lord is saturating our being to such an extent that for eternity we will bear His glory, for we will manifest God in splendour! Praise the Lord!

Today we can only see a glimpse of this whenever we exercise our spirit and we meet with the saints; we have a foretaste of this in the church life today as we walk in the light and have the Lord’s shining.

But for eternity we will enjoy a full taste! In the future, the unlimited glory of God will shine forth as light with Christ as the lamp in the New Jerusalem.

We will be part of the New Jerusalem, and as the holy city, we will express the glory of God, even shine God forth to all the nations around us.

What a glorious destiny we have! We will bear the glory of God.

On one hand, we will see God’s face and we will be under His continual shining.

On the other hand, we will shine Him forth, for He is infused into us and will shine through us to all those around us! We will manifest God’s glory.

So that you might walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. 1 Thes. 2:12 But we all with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit. 2 Cor. 3:18 And those whom He predestinated, these He also called; and those whom He called, these He also justified; and those whom He justified, these He also glorified. Rom. 8:30
This is our eternal destiny.

We as human beings are not created by God merely to serve Him and worship Him in an outward way, bowing down before Him and reverently doing His will.

We were created to be filled with God, saturated with God, and permeated with all that He is so that He may be expressed through us in a corporate way.

His corporate expression today is the church as the house of God, the building of God, and for eternity God’s corporate expression will be the New Jerusalem! Praise the Lord!

God has ordained us for this glory and He called us to this glory (1 Cor. 2:7; 1 Pet. 5:10; 1 Thes. 2:12).

Day by day we are being transformed into this glory to match Him in His glorious expression (2 Cor. 3:18), and we will be brought into this glory (Heb. 2:10).

Eventually, we will be glorified with Christ (Rom. 8:17, 30) so that we may bear the glory of God for God’s expression in and as the New Jerusalem.

Our glorious destiny is to be the New Jerusalem bearing the glory of God, being under God’s shining, seeing God’s face, and expressing God’s glory for eternity! Hallelujah!

Thank You, Lord, for ordaining us for glory! We were called to God’s glory and we are daily being transformed from one degree of glory to another degree of glory. Amen, Lord, we come to You day by day, we turn our heart to You, and we want to be infused with You more and more. We believe that You are bringing many sons into glory. We believe that we will eventually be glorified with Christ so that we may bear the glory of God for eternity! Hallelujah, in and as the New Jerusalem we will bear God’s glory for eternity, and we will express God’s glorious image to the whole universe! Oh Lord, we want to see You face to face today; unveil us so that we may behold You and reflect You. Keep us under the shining of Your face. Keep us enjoying You and gazing at the index of Your eyes. Shine on us, Lord, and shine in every part of our inner being. Have a way to shine in us so that You may shine through us to others for them to see and receive God’s shining full of life and light! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord, for eternity God Himself in the Lamb will shine on us and we will live forever under His glorious illumination!

In the New Jerusalem God will Shine through Christ as the Lamb-Lamp and the Redeemed Ones for Eternity!

And He subjected all things under His feet and gave Him [to be] Head over all things to the church, Which is His Body, the fullness of the One who fills all in all. Eph. 1:22-23 In whom all the building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord; In whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in spirit. Eph. 2:21-22
Thank the Lord that the Bible does not leave us in darkness concerning our destiny.

No, our destiny is NOT to “go to heaven” or inherit “heavenly mansions;” our destiny is to be the New Jerusalem.

Read the book! Read the end of the Bible, especially Revelation chapters 21-22.

In these chapters we do not see heavenly mansions or us walking on the clouds and on golden streets; we see the holy city, New Jerusalem, bearing the glory of God.

What we see in the New Jerusalem is that God will shine through Christ as the Lamb-lamp and through the redeemed ones for eternity!

The whole city of New Jerusalem is both God and man; it is a corporate God-man, for God shines in and through man and man is so one with God that the transformed humanity is like crystal clear gold, diffusing and expressing God to the whole universe. Wow!

In the New Jerusalem there’s no need of the sun or of the moon for the glory of God illumines it and its lamp is the Lamb (Rev. 21:23).

God on the throne is the light, the Lamb is the lamp, and the whole city bears the glory of God.

This means that we will behold God’s face, be under His shining and illumination, and we will express Him for eternity!

God is the light, Christ as the Lamb is the lamp diffusing the light to make it pleasant and approachable to us, and we as the New Jerusalem further shine and magnify God as light to all the universe to shine Him forth! Hallelujah!

Today we have a foretaste of this in the church life.

The church is the temple of God (Eph. 1:21-23; 2:21-22); we are the temple of God today, and He shines in us and through us.

God Himself in the church is our dwelling place, and we are His dwelling place; we dwell in Him and He dwells in us. He also is the light that shines not only on us and in us but also through us to our neighbours. Amen!

The church is a city situated upon a mountain, which cannot be hidden, for the glory of God shines in the church and through the church (Matt. 5:14).

Today we are in the process of being shined on by God, and when God completely finishes His work in the church, we will be a transparent city! Hallelujah!

The New Jerusalem is a golden city, and all the gold in the New Jerusalem is transparent, transmitting the effulgence of God so that by its light we may arrive at the oneness.

God shines from the throne through Christ as the lamp, and we as the city diffuse the light, shining upon the nations (Rev. 21:24). Hallelujah!

And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon that they should shine in it, for the glory of God illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb. And the nations will walk by its light; and the kings of the earth bring their glory into it. Rev. 21:23-24
The nations that will exist upon the earth will walk by the light of the shining from the New Jerusalem.

There will still live some people, some nations on the new earth as the peoples there (vv. 3-4).

They will have kings, who will bring their glory into the city. In eternity we as the redeemed ones will be the royal family ruling over the nations, and we will shine God forth for eternity! Praise the Lord!

The New Jerusalem will be an organic building filled with God’s glory and expressing God’s glory to the whole universe.

The eternal kingdom of God will be under the shining of God’s glory in the Redeemer (Christ as the Lamb) through the redeemed (the people of God, us) as the diffuser.

Wow, our destiny is to forever shine God forth, being part of God’s shining organically and corporately!

We will be kings to reign, and the nations around the New Jerusalem will be subjects.

This is what will happen in eternity, and today we can have a foretaste of this in the church life.

Today we need to walk in the divine light, allow the Lord to shine in us and through us, and those around us will see God’s shining through our daily living.

The unbelievers, the worldly people around us, will walk in our light, for we live under the Lord’s shining, and we will enlighten everyone around us! Praise the Lord!

Lord Jesus, we want to live under Your shining today. Shine in us. Shine in every part of our being. Keep us open to Your inward shining. We open to You. May God as the light shine through Christ as the Redeemer in our being and through us to those around us! Amen, Lord, fill us with light! Fill us with Yourself as the divine light! Save us from living in darkness. Save us from having any dark part or spot in our being or in our living. Shine in us and shine through us to those around us so that they may see Your shining and come to know You, enjoy You, and be under Your living light! Amen, Lord, may Your living light scatter all our night and everything make bright! May Your living light shine through us so that others may see the glory of God being expressed through the church! Hallelujah, we as the church will be the New Jerusalem bearing the glory of God and expressing the glory of God to the whole universe! Praise the Lord, the entire eternal kingdom of God will be under the shining of God’s glory in the Redeemer through the redeemed as the diffuser!

According to Revelation 21:11, the holy city has the glory of God. Here the glory of God is the expression of God, God expressed. When God is manifested, that is glory. We have been ordained for this glory and called to this glory (1 Cor. 2:7; 1 Pet. 5:10; 1 Thes. 2:12). We are being transformed into this glory (2 Cor. 3:18), and we will be brought into it (Heb. 2:10). Eventually, we will be glorified with Christ (Rom. 8:17, 30) to bear the glory of God for God’s expression in the New Jerusalem. In the holy city both the lamp and the light refer to God’s glory. The whole city of New Jerusalem is God. The light is God, its glory is the expression of God, and its appearance is God Himself revealed to the nations. All of this should be found in the church life today. The church is God’s temple. God Himself in the church is our dwelling place, and He is also the light that shines out through us to our neighbors. This shining out is also the glory and appearance of the church. This is the church life.

The nations will walk by the light of the New Jerusalem, an organic building. Thus, the entire eternal kingdom of God will be under the shining of God’s glory in the Redeemer through the redeemed as the diffuser. The eternal kingdom of God includes the New Jerusalem and the nations around it. The redeemed who constitute the New Jerusalem are the kings to reign, and the nations around the New Jerusalem are the subjects. In their relationship with God, the subjects will walk in the light of the New Jerusalem (v. 24a). For their human affairs they will live under the light of the sun created by God and the lamp made by man, but in matters related to God the nations as the subjects will walk in the divine light. The New Jerusalem, the ultimate consummation of God’s building, is a full picture of today’s church life. If we are such a miniature of the holy city, we will shine forth with God as the light. Then the unbelievers, the worldly people, will walk in our light. We will enlighten everyone around us.

In the millennium the light of the sun and the moon will be intensified (Isa. 30:26). But in the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and new earth there will be no need of the shining of the sun or of the moon. The sun and moon will be present in the new heaven and new earth, but their shining will not be needed in the New Jerusalem, for God, the divine light, will shine much more brightly there. Rev. 21:23, footnote 1 on “no need of the sun or of the moon,” Recovery Version Bible

The Lamb as the lamp will shine with God as the light to illumine the city with the glory of God, the expression of the divine light. Since the holy city will be illumined by such a divine light, it will need no other light, whether created by God or made by man (Rev. 22:5). Rev. 21:23, footnote 2 on “lamp is the Lamb,” Recovery Version Bible
