The Christian way of managing wealth is: what we receive depends on what we give; it is better to give than to receive, and the more we give, the more we receive.
Our way as believers in Christ is not to accumulate things, riches, and wealth, under the cloak of “God blesses us”; it is to give and give and give.
The Lord Jesus didn’t come to receive – He came to give, and He continually served man, giving man not only teachings but also healing, love, empathy, and even His own life.
The Lord was like a great businessman coming to do the greatest business deal in the world, and He paid the highest price to seal the deal; He paid the price of His own life, His own blood, to purchase us.
What matters to God is not how much we have outwardly and how smart we are in accumulating things but how much of our heart He gains, and how much of His interest we advance on earth.
Therefore, He entrusts us with certain things and with a particular income, and He wants us to be good stewards of what He entrusts us with.
We may have a little or we may earn a lot, but no matter what, our principle should always be, what we receive depends on what we give.
God is faithful to provide for us; whether we ask Him or not, whether we thank Him or not, and whether we see this or not, He provides for all our needs.
It is not us who work really hard and provide for what we need, and it is not our parents who work hard to provide for us; it is the Lord who provides.
As believers in Christ, we need to realize that God is the source of all we have, both physically and spiritually.
We need to come to the Lord and enjoy His riches, and we need to be rich in Christ; at the same time, these riches of Christ are given to us for others.
We are not given this all-inclusive Christ just so that we may enjoy Him and that’s it; the more we enjoy Christ with His riches, the more we are entrusted certain stewardship, for the Christ we enjoy is “to me for you”. Hallelujah!
It is the same with material riches; these are not just for us to enjoy and partake of, and these are not for us to accumulate and have more and more.
Rather, we need to be thankful for what the Lord gives us, and we need to be faithful stewards to give, and even give more, for the more we give, the more we receive.
The more we minister of Christ to others, the more of Christ we enjoy; the more we give to the Lord of our material possessions and of our money, the more He will give to us.
May we learn to be those who rather give than receive, knowing that the Lord will richly provide. Thank You, dear Lord!
The More We Give, the more God will give to us; It is More Blessed to Give than to Receive!
We are grateful to the Lord for His faithfulness in caring for us, and we appreciate Him for taking all-inclusive, tender care of our spirit, soul, and body.
He knows the real situation of our inner being, and He oversees the condition of our real person.
We may think we work hard to provide for ourselves and our family, but the Lord is the One who richly cares for us, and He provides.
However, if we are unfaithful in the matter of giving, we may experience a lack. If we care only for ourselves, we are destined to be in poverty; if we learn to give, we are destined to have riches.
The more we give, the more God will give to us, and it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35).
If we want to escape poverty, we need to learn to give and give and give; the way to have enough for ourselves and even to have something over is to be faithful in the matter of giving.
According to Luke 6:38, the Lord will measure to us in the same way we measure to others; if we are stingy in giving to others, the Lord will not richly bless us but rather, we will experience lack.
Many people have problems with their income because they have problems with their giving.
We need to realize that, according to the divine principle, the more we give one with the Lord, the more God will give to us.
Those who experience more and more of God’s riches are those who function in the meetings to minister Christ to others; the more we empty ourselves by flowing out of the riches of Christ constituted into our being, the more we will enjoy the riches of Christ.
If we are faithful to give, if we give to the Lord regularly and even in a greater measure, the Lord will never be outgiven – He will richly add to us.
If we are happy to share our surplus with others, others will also be happy to share their surplus with us.
But if we give one-twentieth of what we earn to others, others will also give one-twentieth to us.
We may claim that we trust in the Lord, but how much do we give to others?
We may claim that we are the Lord’s, but how much of what we have really belongs to Him, and how much are we willing to give?
We may exercise our faith to ask God for money and to cover our needs, but do we exercise faith in giving money?
The Lord really wants to gain our heart, our very being, and His principle is clear: it’s more blessed to give than to receive.
May we be those who are blessed both spiritually and materially because we give – we don’t horde things, we don’t accumulate and gather riches for ourselves, storing up treasures here on earth, but we just give!
May we really trust the Lord with what we are and have, and may we learn to give – just give.
As we enjoy the Lord as our love and patience, we need to minister this One to others, shepherding them into the same experience that we had.
As the Lord blesses us, we need to also bless others; the more He gives us, the more we need to give others also.
Faith needs to be applied and exercised in all things, not only in spiritual things but also in our managing money and wealth.
We need to admit, however, that in ourselves we’re not such ones; we are not inclined to just give to others, for in our natural man we think it’s more blessed to receive than to give.
But praise the Lord, we can experience Christ and be one with Him even in the matter of giving, for He gives and gives and gives, and He is joined to us, even one with us!
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for giving Yourself up for us on the cross. Thank You for giving Your all for us. Thank You for coming into us to be our life and everything. We open to You, dear Lord, to learn from You and to be one with You. Teach us what it means that it is more blessed to give than to receive. Make us those who not only enjoy Christ for themselves but also have a portion of Christ to give to others also. Make us those who not only receive the Lord’s rich provision but also give to others. Amen, Lord, make us one with You in our giving. We want to be faithful to You to give from what You have given to us. We love You, Lord, and we want to learn from You in this matter!
As Christians, what we Receive Depends on what we Give – We must Give first before God will Give us
As Christians, we need to realize that there’s a basic lesson of financial stewardship: it is more blessed to give than to receive.
The unique way that we should manage our wealth and money is, what we receive depends on what we give. In other words, as Christians, the way we should manage our money is that we must give first before others will give us.
We should not accumulate or gather and store up things for ourselves; rather, we must give first, looking to the Lord for all our needs.
If we give, the Lord will supply us with a good measure; He is never stingy in what He gives us but rather, He’s ever generous and overflowing. His cup is always running over.
In both spiritual and material things, the more we give, the more He bountifully supplies us.
Our God’s cup is always running over; there’s always something over when we touch our precious Lord.
And when He gives us, He gives us generously; He gives by pressing down, shaking together, heaping up, and running over (Luke 6:38).
We only need to give first and then He will give us.
People in the world anxiously grasp everything they possess; we, however, need to be liberated from the possession of material things.
Having food and covering, with these we will be content; however, if we intend to be rich, we fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge men into destruction and ruin, for the love of money is a root of all evils (1 Tim. 6:8-10).
We should not love money but we should be content when we have something to eat and something to wear, realizing that the Lord is the One who provides, and we are stewards of His riches.
When we see that there is a need among the saints, we need to contribute to the needs of the saints (Rom. 12:13), having an attitude of giving rather than receiving.
It is not a sin to receive much, but it is a sin to have in excess; it’s not wrong to take in much, but it is wrong to keep the excess.
We need to simplify our living, learn to live in a frugal way and give to others.
Those who have given to others know that, indeed, it is more blessed to give than to receive.
As we are living at the end of this age, we want to hasten the Lord’s return, so we need to watch the way we conduct ourselves today.
May we learn not only to receive but also to give; may we give first, and give generously, and the Lord will supply richly.
If we have not received anything recently, it means that we have a problem in giving; whenever we have a problem in giving, we will experience a lack.
Satan deceives all mankind to think that it is better to receive than to give; may we learn to take the way of God’s blessing and not be deceived by Satan.
May we learn that it is more blessed to give than to receive, and may we learn the trustworthiness of this promise from our experience.
We need to keep our money moving and active and not allow it to become like the stagnant water of the Dead Sea.
If we do this, if we give and give generously, God will do something through our money, for He promised that it is more blessed to give than to receive.
If we obey the word of the Lord faithfully, we will surely see a great blessing.
Dear Lord Jesus, we love You and we give ourselves to You. Grant us to learn the way You want us to manage our money and wealth by rather giving than receiving. May we learn to give first, and give generously, so that You may richly bless us. Amen, Lord, keep us enjoying You and spending time with You so that our hearts would be Yours. May our heart cling to You and be separated from the love of money. May we not have a problem in giving but rather, may we give first, giving all we have to You and learning to give to meet others’ needs. Oh Lord, we trust in You, for You are our generous God, and Your cup is always running over! Hallelujah, our God is not stingy but rather, He gives in a generous and overflowing way! Thank You, Lord!
