The Love of God leads us in our Living, Cares for us and Works for us Eternally

...the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. Rom. 5:5

The love of God leads us in our living, for God has poured out His love in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, and God loves us and motivates us from within; the commandment the Lord gave us to love one another is shining with new light and enlightenment to us in our daily living. Hallelujah!

God didn’t just command us to love Him and love one another without providing us with a way to do it.

The Lord’s new commandment for us to love God and one another is not only an injunction, something we have to do, but it is His living word; furthermore, God Himself went through a process to become the love poured out in our heart to love God and others.

God doesn’t want us to do things for Him or to serve Him in an outward way; He wants to first become everything to us so that, in our life and service, we do all things in Him, with Him, by Him, and one with Him.

Christ commanded us to love one another because God Himself is love, and He poured Himself out into our hearts as love.

Even before He did this, God chose us in love. He predestinated us to be holy and without blemish before Him in love.

The love of God is the source of His salvation. God did not just create us and then leave us once we became fallen; rather, His heart is full of love toward us, and He reached out to us.

He reached out to us in His love toward us by predestinating us and then choosing us.

Out of His great love toward us, God Himself became a man; the Father sent His only begotten Son to come and die for us so that we may have His divine life.

God is not after a group of people who obey Him fully and mindlessly to carry out His work; He wants to impart His life and nature into us so that we are filled with Him and fully one with Him so that His desire becomes our desire and what He wants to do is carried out through us.

The love of God accomplished salvation for us; though we were in the lowest pit, enemies of God and sinners dead in sins and offences, He came to us, He displayed His love toward us, and He died for us.

His death was to redeem us, and His resurrection was for Him to become the Spirit that gives life for us to receive Him.

Out of His great love toward us, He prepared and accomplished a marvellous salvation; then, He comes to us and causes us to obtain salvation and become His children. Hallelujah!

We may think that we were seeking after God, after the truth, and so we came to know Him and we were saved; this is true to a certain extent, but the source of all this was God Himself.

It was the love of God that brought us closer to Him, and it is the love of God that keeps us firmly fixed in Christ alone. What kind of love is this!

The Love of God leads us in our Living, Works for us Eternally, and this love is Poured out in our Hearts with the Holy Spirit

Jehovah appeared to me from afar, [saying,] / Indeed I have loved you with an eternal love; / Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness. Jer. 31:3

The Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God and Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope in grace, is comforting our hearts and establishing each one of us in every good work (2 Thes. 2:16-17).

The love of God leads us in our living and comforts us; the love of God is comforting and establishing us in every good work.

We may be down, and we may be sad, but the love of the Lord is still there, reaching out to us, and leading us in our daily living.

Sometimes we may pass through periods of suffering and trials, and we may have questions and doubts.

Now our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope in grace, Comfort your hearts and establish [you] in every good work and word. 2 Thes. 2:16-17 For whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and He scourges every son whom He receives. Heb. 12:6We may even ask the Lord why He allows so many troubles and trials to come our way, and we may question His love toward us.

Though these doubts arise, we cannot deny that the love of God is within us.

In the realm of grace, the first thing that we enjoy is the love of God; the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us (Rom. 5:5).

We may go through trials and sufferings, but the love of God is with us, and the Spirit reveals, confirms, and assures us with the love of God.

He always comforts us, and we know that, though we may not understand this right now, the Lord is transforming us and all these things we go through are part of His loving concern for us.

No matter what happens to us, we cannot deny the presence of God’s love within us.

When we get low, He establishes us. When we are weak and weary, He comes to establish us.

The love of God leads us in our living. Yes, He does discipline us, but He does this because He loves us; God loves us as His genuine sons, so He disciplines us today (Heb. 12:6).

God has poured out His love in our hearts with the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us, as the motivating power within us; therefore, we more than conquer in all our tribulations (8:37).

In ourselves, we cannot be an overcomer, but praise the Lord, even in these trials and tribulations and anguish, the love of God is with us and causes us to more than overcome.

We may ask the Lord to remove the problems, save us from troubles, and take us out of the trials, but if we did not have all these things, what will we overcome?

In all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us. If God has given us His own Son, surely He will not do anything to hurt us; we should always be assured of God’s love toward us.

He gave us His only begotten Son, and He shed His own blood to save us and reconcile us to Himself.

We were once enemies, but Christ came and shed His blood on the cross to reconcile us to God.

Our God is sovereign; He knows what is best for us, and the choice is His and not ours.

We may think that we choose our spouse, our career, and our job, but it is God who is in control, and everything He does to lead us is in His love.

Everything related to us has been prepared by our Father; we may want to get out of certain things and be rescued from certain trials, but in ALL these things, He loves us and causes us to more than overcome!

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor things present nor things to come nor powers nor height nor depth nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom. 8:38-39The love of God leads us and works for us eternally (see Jer. 31:3; John 13:1; Rom. 8:38-39).

Eventually, time will run out, but the love of God will never run out. His love is eternal.

Today, the love of God leads us, and for eternity, His love works for us. His love is sure, fixed, and eternal to the extent that He and us will fully be one, with separation.

We may think that we can’t take it anymore and we can’t do this – we can’t be a Christian anymore, but the love of God is eternal, and nothing will separate us from His love.

Nothing, not even trials, anguish, persecutions, tribulations, death, things present or things to come, NOTHING can separate us from the love of God.

We can’t make the decision to terminate this love – this love is eternal!

He loves us with an eternal love, He holds us in His loving hands, and even when we think we can’t make it anymore, His love is there for us.

We all can testify that, even when we were at our lowest point and had a big failure, the Lord’s love is there for us. We can simply turn to Him, and His love is poured out into our hearts.

Many times we simply declare to Him,

Lord Jesus, though we are a failure, Your love is there for us. Thank You for loving us so much. We open to You. Lead us in our living by Your love. Oh Lord, have Your way in us. We simply want what You want, for what You have in mind for us is the best. Thank You for causing all things to work together for good for us. Thank You for preparing and arranging all things for our transformation. Thank You for pouring out Your love in our hearts through the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah, we have the motivating power within us so that we may conquer in all our tribulations because of the love of God! Praise the Lord, nothing can separate us from the love of God! Praise the Lord, the love of God leads us and works for us eternally! We can more than conquer because of Him who loves us! He loves us with an eternal love, and nothing can take us out of His loving hands! Praise You, Lord, and thank You! We fully trust in you and we leave everything entirely in Your loving hands!

The Lord’s New Commandment to Love one another Shines with New Light and Fresh Power in our daily living

Beloved, I am not writing a new commandment to you but an old commandment, which you have had from the beginning; the old commandment is the word which you heard. Yet again a new commandment I am writing to you, which is true in Him and in you because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining. 1 John 2:7-8In 1 John 2:7-8, the apostle speaks of the Lord’s new commandment in John 13:34, and he says that this is an old commandment yet it is a new commandment, which is true in Him and in us because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.

If we read these verses in 1 John we may be quite puzzled, for they are almost like a riddle: it’s an old commandment, but it’s a new commandment.

How can this be, and what does this mean?

When someone in the world gives us a commandment, we may obey it and agree with it for a while, but eventually, it becomes old, and we may not like it anymore.

But the Lord’s old commandment becomes a new commandment in our daily living, and light shines to disperse any darkness.

The commandment regarding brotherly love is both old and new: it is old because the believers had it from the beginning of their Christian life, and it is new because in their Christian walk it dawns with new light and shines with new enlightenment and fresh power again and again (see 1 John 2:7-8; 3:11, 23; cf. John 13:34).

A human commandment gradually becomes old, for it is not living; but the Lord’s commandment is not only old and new, but it also shines and dawns with new light and refreshing power.

The Lord’s commandment is His living word, and this word shines.

When the living word dawns in darkness, it dawns with heavenly light.

As we fellowship with the Lord and read His word with much prayerful consideration, we spontaneously love the Lord more.

As we tell the Lord that we love Him, we also sense a love for the brothers.

As we fellowship with the Lord and enjoy Him in love, we spontaneously consider a certain brother and pray for him, or we may remember a certain sister and bring her situation before the Lord.

In this way, the Lord’s old commandment becomes new and living, and we are refreshed and empowered to love the saints.

When we contact the Lord and love Him, there’s something fresh and living that comes up in our being, a fresh love for Him and for the brothers.

The commandment of brotherly love is both old and new: old, because the believers have had it from the beginning of their Christian life; new, because in their Christian walk it dawns with new light and shines with new enlightenment and fresh power again and again. The relative pronoun “which” in 1 John 2:8... refers to the fact that the old commandment of brotherly love is new in the believers’ Christian walk. This is true in the Lord, since He not only gave it to His believers but also renews it in their daily walk all the time. This is true also in the believers, since they have not only received it once for all, but also are enlightened and refreshed by it repeatedly. Life-study of 1 John, pp. 144-145, by Witness LeeWe love the brothers not because we try our best to do it or because we are loving people; we love them because we keep the Lord’s new commandment, and His living word shines in us and infuses us with life, light, and fresh power.

The love of God leads us and His new commandment shines on us!

We all have the experience of loving the Lord and enjoying Him in the morning or in our time with Him during the day, and spontaneously uttering a prayer for one of the saints.

We may have not thought of or planned to pray for that saint, but the brotherly love rises up in us.

The Lord’s new commandment to love the brothers shines with new light and fresh power, for we touch the Lord in a living way.

The fact that the old commandment is new is true in the Lord, since He not only gave it to us, His believers, but He also renews it in our daily walk continually.

He commands us to love the brothers, He pours out His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, and He renews the commandment in our daily living, inwardly empowering us and making us able to love the brothers.

This old commandment which is also new is true in us as believers in Christ, since we not only have received it once for all but are enlightened and refreshed by it repeatedly.

Hallelujah for the Lord’s new commandment to love one another even as He loved us! Thank You, Lord, for giving us this old commandment which becomes new and living to us in our experience. May Your living word dawn with new light and shine with new enlightenment and fresh power again and again. Amen, Lord, renew this living word, Your commandment, in our being for us to be enlightened and refreshed by it repeatedly. We come to You, dear Lord, and we just want to enjoy You in love. We come to Your word and we exercise our spirit to contact You. Dear Lord Jesus, we love You! We love You and we love the brothers! It is Your love poured into our hearts that rises up in us to love the brothers and sisters, pray for them, and bring them before the Lord in love. Lord Jesus, we love You! We love those whom You love!

In verse 8 John tells us that the darkness is passing away and that the true light already shines. The passing away of the darkness is its vanishing in the shining of the true light. The true light is the light of the Lord’s commandment. Because this light shines, the commandment of brotherly love dawns in the darkness and makes the old commandment new and fresh throughout the entire Christian life. After any kind of human commandment has been given, it gradually becomes old. Human commandments are not living. Because these commandments are not living, they never dawn and they never shine. But the commandment given by the Lord is His living word. Because His commandment is His living word, this word shines. When this living word dawns in the darkness, it dawns with heavenly light. The shining of heavenly light makes old things new. In particular, it makes the old commandment new, fresh, and full of light. Life-study of 1 John, pp. 144-145, by Witness Lee

How touching it is to realize that the love of God is always there with us.

We may go through troubles and problems, and we may have doubts and questions, but we cannot deny that the love of God is within us.

His love has been poured in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, and we cannot but trust in Him and be touched by His love. His love leads us.

He loved us with an eternal love. Nothing can separate us from His love. We can just open and say,

Lord, we love You. Have a way in us. We want what You want. We just love You, for You love us so much!

The first thing we enjoy each day is God’s love.

It’s only because of the love of God that we’re able to awaken to another day of enjoying & experiencing Him.

What a gift it is that the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit .

Through the love of God, His commandment to love one another can be continually living & fresh in us.

May the Lord grant us this day a fresh experience of brotherly love with new enlightenment and fresh power…

The commandment concerning brotherly love in 1 John 2 is both old and new.

Old because this love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, but new because such love needs to be renewed in our daily walk.

O Lord Jesus thank You as the living word You are already shining and enlightening us to love one another! Amen! Lord Jesus we love You!

I enjoyed some verses today 🙂
Touched particularly by these

1 Chronicles 4:39-40 And they went to the entrance of Gedor, as far as the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks. And they found rich and good pasture and a spacious and quiet and peaceful land

Footnote: As a type, the tribe of Simeon’s finding rich and good pasture and a spacious and quiet and peaceful land signifies that our enjoyment of Christ as our good land should be spacious, quiet, and peaceful.

And one day we will say

Father, I thank You for the troubles and trials which I passed through.’” When you enter the gate of eternity, you will say, “Praise the Lord for the sufferings and tests which fell upon me on my journey. God used them to transform me.”

I long for that day brother
