Love God and be Constrained by the Love of Christ to More than Conquer in All Things

For the love of Christ constrains us because we have judged this, that One died for all, therefore all died. 2 Cor. 5:14

We need to love God and be constrained by the love of Christ to more than conquer in all things, knowing that Christ intercedes for us today.

We believers in Christ can experience, enjoy, and express Christ as the One who makes us more than conquerors, for the love of God constrains us and propels us to more than conquer in all things and Christ is at the right hand of God interceding for us, at the same time being the Spirit interceding for us today.

If we come to the end of Romans 8, we see that God makes us more than conquerors, and nothing can separate us from the love of God.

In the beginning of Romans 8 we see how we can experience, enjoy, and express Christ as our Emancipator, and at the end of this chapter, we see the love of God in Christ.

Nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This love of God makes us more than conquerors so that we can experience, enjoy, and express Christ as the One who makes us more than conquerors.

The underlying concept of Romans is that God is working to make sons out of sinners so that He may form the Body of Christ to express Christ corporately.

If we take a look at this book, we see the working of God’s righteousness, then the saturating of God’s holiness, and the glorification of God’s glory.

In Rom. 8, we see in particular that Christ as the law of the Spirit of life works in us to free us from the bondage and slavery under the law of sin and of death.

As long as we cooperate with the law of the Spirit of life to switch it on, this law operates in us to impart God’s life and nature into us and also conform us to the image of Christ.

As we experience, enjoy, and express Christ as our Emancipator, we are brought into the very heart of God, for we enjoy and experience His love, and we realize that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

May we learn to enjoy the Lord and experience Him as our Emancipator day by day so that we may be brought into the very heart of God and enjoy His love, even be constrained by the love of God.

Oh, the love of God is so prevailing!

God loves us with an everlasting love, and His love reached us in Christ, His Son. Once we see God’s love and are captured by the Lord for His purpose, we cannot but follow Him, enjoy Him, and be constrained by His love to do all things for the fulfillment of His purpose. Amen!

Love God and be Constrained by the Love of Christ to More than Conquer in All Things

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? Indeed, He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not also with Him freely give us all things? Rom. 8:31-32

In Rom. 8:31-39 we see that we can love God and be constrained, restricted, motivated, compelled, impelled, and propelled by the love of Christ to more than conquer in all things. Amen!

God loves us, and His love is poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit (Rom. 5:5). Now we love God, and nothing can separate us from His love.

Jer. 32:40-44 reveals that God makes a new covenant with us and that He would not turn away from us. He wants to do us good and plant us in the holy land.

But as it is written, "Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard and [which] have not come up in man's heart; things which God has prepared for those who love Him." But to us God has revealed [them] through the Spirit, for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. 1 Cor. 2:9-10This is the new covenant that He makes with us (Jer. 31:31-34), by which He promises not to turn away from us but plant us in Christ, our good land, and He also gives us Christ in all His aspects for us to buy and enjoy.

Thank the Lord for the constraining love of Christ. 2 Cor. 5:14 tells us that the love of Christ constrains us.

The love manifested by Christ toward us on the cross is constraining us.

This love is pressing us from all sides, holding us to one end, and even forcibly limits us, confining us to one object within certain bounds.

The love of God in Christ shuts up to one line and purpose as in a narrow, walled road. We can confirm that the love of God constrains us.

On one hand, we love God, for we see His love toward us; on the other hand, we are constrained by the love of Christ to more than conquer in all things.

The apostles were constrained by the love of Christ to live to Him.

Today we are also constrained by the love of Christ to live to the Lord.

The love of Christ limits us and confines us to a narrow way so that we may reach a unique goal – Christ Himself.

As we live the Christian life and love God, the love of Christ constrains us, and we are constrained, limited, as if we walk on a narrow, walled road.

We want to do something, but the love of Christ constrains us.

Many times we can confess that, even though we do not want to take the Lord’s way, His love constrains us, and we are willing to take His way.

If He had not walled us in by His love, we would have probably escaped from Him.

But thank the Lord for the love of Christ, which constrains us so that we may more than conquer in all things. May we be persons who are carried away by the love of Christ.

May we allow the love of Christ to be like a rushing of great waters toward us, impelling us to live to the Lord.

When we open to the Lord and love God, the love of Christ constrains us to live to the Lord even beyond our own control. It’s like a tide of water carries us away to the goal of being one with Christ.

May we daily open to the Lord to be flooded by the love of Christ.

By loving God, we participate in all the riches contained in God (see 1 Cor. 2:9-10; cf. 2 Tim. 3:2-4).

God has prepared untold and unspoken riches for those who not just know Him but, even more, love Him.

If we are those who love God, we participate in all the riches contained in God.

We need to both love God and be constrained by the love of Christ to love God and the saints with Christ as our love.

When we love God and allow the love of Christ to constrain us, we are walled in as in a narrow-walled road, and we love the Lord, live to Him, and seek to gain Christ as our unique goal.

And I will make an eternal covenant with them that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; and I will put My fear into their hearts, so that they will not turn away from Me. And I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness with all My heart and with all My soul. Jer. 32:40-41We realize that, if God is for us, nothing and no one can be against us (Rom. 8:31; Jer. 31:31-34; Heb. 8:8-10).

He loves us, He made a covenant with us, and He does us good – He will not turn away from us.

Rather, He plants us in Christ, He gives us Christ as our everything, and all the aspects of Christ are for us to enjoy and gain.

He makes an eternal covenant with us, and by this covenant, God will not turn away from us but rather, give us the all-inclusive Christ for us to gain by paying the price to forget all things that are behind and pursue Christ (Jer. 30:40-44; Phil. 3:8-14).

Thank the Lord for freely giving us all things with Christ!

Hallelujah, God freely gives us all things with Christ, and everything, every person, and every situation are ours, for we love Him (Rom. 8:28, 32; 1 Cor. 3:21-22).

All things are ours when we are His.

Every thing, every person, and every situation are ours, the ones who love the Lord, for our perfecting.

We can only praise and thank the Lord, and we can give ourselves to love the Lord and allow the love of Christ to constrain us to make us more than conquerors in Christ.

Lord Jesus, we want to experience, enjoy, and express Christ as the One who makes us more than conquerors. Amen, Lord, we love You! We love You with the love that You poured out in our heart through the Holy Spirit, who indwells us. Constrain us more with Your love. May we be constrained, restricted, motivated, compelled, impelled, and propelled by the love of Christ to more than conquer in all things! Oh Lord Jesus, we love You! We love You and we enjoy all the riches that God has prepared for us in Christ! Hallelujah, we lovers of Christ can participate in all the riches contained in God! Amen, Lord, constrain us with Your love so that we may love God and love the saints with Christ as our love. Hallelujah, since God is for us, nothing can be against us! Thank You, Lord, for making a covenant with us not to turn away from us but to do us good. Praise the Lord, God freely gives us all things with Christ! Wow, Lord, every thing, every person and every situation are ours, for we love the Lord, and all things are used by Him to perfect us!

Christ as the Spirit Intercedes for Us to be Conformed to the Image of Christ

Who is he who condemns? [It] [is] Christ Jesus who died and, rather, who was raised, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us...Moreover, in like manner the Spirit also joins in to help [us] in our weakness, for we do not know for what we should pray as is fitting, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for [us] with groanings which cannot be uttered. Rom. 8:34, 26God loves us, He pours His love in our heart, and we love Christ; we are constrained by the love of Christ to live to Him and be more than conquerors.

Who is he who condemns? It is Christ Jesus who died and, rather, who was raised, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us (Rom. 8:34).

On the one hand, the love of Christ constrains us and this love keeps us.

On the other hand, Christ, having died for us and having been raised, is interceding for us at the right hand of God.

Thank the Lord, Christ is both at the right hand of God and in our spirit!

In Rom. 8:34 Christ is at the right hand of God, yet in verse 10 Christ is in us, in our spirit (see 2 Tim. 4:22; cf. John 1:51; Gen. 28:11-22).

How can this be? How can Christ be both in heavens at the right hand of God and in our spirit today?

Gen. 28:11-22 shows us a picture of this and John 1:51 tells us the truth of how Christ is the heavenly ladder in our spirit.

The Lord told Nathaniel that he will see greater things than these, that is, that the angels ascending and descending upon Christ as the Son of Man, the reality of the heavenly ladder.

This is really wonderful. It is the dream that God gave to Jacob, something very wonderful that is related to God’s house on earth – Bethel.

God wants to bring heaven to earth and earth to heaven, for He wants to join earth to heaven and heaven to earth on Christ and by Christ.

Our spirit is the gate of heaven, where Christ as the heavenly ladder is set up.

Eph. 2:22 says that the habitation of God is in our spirit, and the church is the house of the living God.

Whenever we turn to our spirit, we are in the church, and we experience Christ as the heavenly ladder bringing God to us and us to God. Amen! This is truly wonderful!

This is how can be both in the heavens, at the right hand of God, and in our spirit to be our life.

In Rom. 8:34 it is Christ who intercedes for us, yet in verse 26, it is the Spirit who intercedes for us. These are not two intercessors; rather, they are one – the Lord Spirit (2 Cor. 3:18). Amen!

Christ intercedes for us at two ends: at one end, He is the Spirit in us, interceding for us, and at the other end, He is at the right hand of God as Christ, interceding for us before God.

In whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in spirit. Eph. 2:22 But we all with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit. 2 Cor. 3:18Probably Christ as the Spirit in our spirit initiates the intercession for us, for the Spirit intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered, knowing our condition and interceding for us before God.

Also, probably Christ at the right hand of God is completing the intercession for us, taking our case before God and carrying out God’s will in us.

What is the Lord Spirit interceding for concerning us? It is mainly that we are conformed to His image and brought into His glory. Praise the Lord!

How thankful we are to the Lord that He is both the Spirit with our spirit and the Christ at the right hand of God to intercede for us so that we may be conformed to the image of Christ and so that we may be brought into His glory!

The Spirit intercedes for us, Christ intercedes for us, and God is carrying out His economy to conform us to the image of Christ.

We simply need to cooperate with Him in our daily living by turning to Him, enjoying Him, and allowing Him to constrain us with His love.

We need to be constrained by the love of Christ to be more than conquerors in all things!

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for being at the right hand of God interceding for us! Hallelujah, having died for us and having been raised, Christ is now interceding for us in heavens and He’s also the Spirit in our spirit interceding for us. Amen, Lord, we love You and we open to You. We open to Your intercession. Thank You for being both the Christ in the heavens who intercedes for us before God and the interceding Spirit in our spirit. Hallelujah, the Spirit in our spirit initiates the intercession and the Christ in the heavens completes the intercession for us! Amen, Lord, thank You for interceding for us to be conformed to Your image and to be brought into Your glory! Hallelujah, nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus! Amen, Lord, we open to Your intercession. Have a way in us. Conform us to Your image!

    – Thy mighty love, O God, constraineth me, / As some strong tide it presseth on its way, / Seeking a channel in my self-bound soul, / Yearning to sweep all barriers away. / Shall I not yield to that constraining power? / Shall I not say, O tide of love, flow in? / My God, Thy gentleness hath conquered me, / Life cannot be as it hath hither been. (Hymns #431 stanzas 1-2)
    – What from Thee can separate me? / Thou wilt love me to the end! / Oh! Thy love is so prevailing, / E’en Thyself with me to blend! / We two one will be for ever; / I am Thine and Thou art mine! / This will be my testimony: / In Thy love we’ll ever twine! (Hymns #152 stanza 4)
    – Thou intercedest all the time, / Lord Spirit, with Thy grace, / In heav’n to plead, in us to groan, / Entreating in our place. (Hymns #201 stanza 4)

Today we also are constrained by Christ’s love toward us. This love surely limits us, confines us to a narrow way, toward the unique goal—Christ Himself…When we are thus constrained, we are limited, as if walking on a narrow, walled road, and we are forced to go in a certain direction. Although we love the Lord, we are not always willing to take His way. Had we not been walled in by Him, we probably would have escaped from Him. But the love of Christ constrains us; it presses us from every side and holds us to one goal. We must be persons carried away by the love of Christ. In 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 Paul indicates that Christ’s loving death is like the rushing of great waters toward us, impelling us to live to Him beyond our own control. To be constrained is similar to being carried away by a tide of water. The love of Christ is as strong as a tide of water which overcomes us and carries us away. We need to be flooded by the love of Christ. We need to be constrained by His love so that we have no choice. We should be able to say, “I have no other way to go. I must love the Lord because His love has constrained me.”

Thank the Lord for His constraining love. He compels and constrains us with His love, and we cannot but give in to Him, and He gives us all things with Christ.

And this wonderful Christ is both in us and before God interceding for us as the Spirit.

Lord Jesus, we love You. Constrain us with Your love. May we cooperate with You for the fulfilment of Your purpose today.

Wow, brother, how precious is God’s love toward us!

The love of Christ is as strong as a tide of water that overcomes us and carries us away.

We need to be flooded by the love of Christ.

We need to be constrained by His love so that we have no choice.

Amen, Lord, flood us with Your love until we have no choice 🙏

What a mercy to know, according to Romans 8 that Christ is interceding for us at the right hand of God (v.10), according to His eternal New Covenant to be conformed to His image.

Yet at the same time we have the Spirit indwelling us, also interceding in and for us (v.34). Praise the Lord!

Christ and the Spirit are one! The Spirit in our spirit intiates the prayer and the Christ at the right of God completes it! Praise the Lord Spirit!

Lord, we want to cooperate with Your intercession today as the Spirit to be those who experience, enjoy and express You! Amen. Lord constrain us with Your love for Your purpose.

Amen. The love of the Lord constrains us.

His Love is like a tide of water which overcomes us and carries us away, leaving us with no other choice but to love Him.

This is necessary as if He had not constrained us, we may have chosen our own will and escaped from Him.

O Lord thank you for constraining us with your love. May we remain in this love and even be filled with this love.

God’s love for us is stronger than death and many waters cannot quench His love.

Like the apostles, we should be constrained by the love of Christ to live to Him, being willing to pay the price of gaining Christ by forgetting the things which are behind and pursuing Christ.

We must press on and be willing to be constrained to one goal — Jesus Himself.

May we be persons who are carried away by the love of Christ, because God freely gives us all things with Christ.

In both heaven & Earth, Christ is interceding for us and ensuring that we will arrive at the goal of being conformed to His image and brought into His glory.
