The Lord’s recovery is the recovery of the divine truths revealed in the Word of God so that all believers may know the truth, be constituted with truth, be absolute for the truth, uphold the truth, and testify to the truth in the present age of the world. Amen!
This week we come to a new series in our Holy Word for Morning Revival, the one based on the 2021 Memorial Day Weekend Conference; the general topic is Knowing the Truth, being Absolute for the Truth, and Proclaiming the Truth in this Present Evil Age.
Amen, we need to be such ones today, those who know the truth, those who are absolute for the truth, and those who proclaim the truth especially in this present evil age.
In particular this week, week one, we come to the topic of, Knowing the Truth, Being Absolute for the Truth and for Upholding the Absoluteness of the Truth, and Testifying to the Truth in the Present Age of the World.
First of all, we need to know the truth; the writings of John are not only filled with life and love but also with truth, and in particular in 2 John 1:1 he speaks in a loving way of those who know the truth.
Paul spoke four times in 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus concerning “the full knowledge of the truth”.
We do not dare to say that we have the full knowledge of the truth, but we pursue, we dive into the truth, and we want to be filled and constituted with the truth.
God wants all His believers to come to the full knowledge of the truth (1 Tim. 2:4), and we have repentance unto the full knowledge of the truth (2 Tim. 2:25).
Some, however, are always learning but not able to come to the full knowledge of the truth (2 Tim. 3:7).
When we know the truth, we will be absolute for the truth, for the truth requires that we are absolute.
We need to receive the love of the truth (2 Thes. 2:10); especially in these last days before the manifestation of the Antichrist, many people do not receive the love for the truth, so they are placed under dreadful deceptions.
We need to buy the truth by paying the price for the truth; this requires that we explore the truth, dig into the depths of the truth, and have a heart to get into the truth (Prov. 23:23).
As we do this, the Spirit of reality guides us into all the truth, the reality, and make us aware of what God in Christ is to us and for us.
This causes us to be constituted with the truth, for the truth becomes not only objective but also subjective to us, our very inward constitution.
The result is that we walk in the truth and we live in the truth (3 John 4). Finally, we propagate the truth, speaking the truth to those around us, preaching the gospel, and propagated the properly interpreted word of God to the whole world.
This is what the Lord commissioned us in Matt. 28:19-20, that we baptize people into the Triune God and teach them the truth, everything that the Lord has given to us.
The Lord’s Recovery is the Recovery of the Divine Truths as Revealed in the Word of God
The Lord’s recovery is the recovery of life, the recovery of God’s economy, and the recovery of the church life; in particular, the Lord’s recovery is the recovery of the divine truths as revealed in the Word of God.
If we are in the Lord’s recovery experientially, we are in the process of being recovered back to the divine truths in the word of God.
The Lord is recovering the light of the truth; He has been opening up the Bible to us day by day, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse.
The more we come to the Word of God with the help of the footnotes in the Recovery Version, the life studies, and the ministry books, the more we see the divine revelation in the word of God.
The Lord’s urgent need on earth today is the truth of this age; He has placed upon us the responsibility of spreading the truth to those around us.
We need to know the truth, be constituted with the truth, be absolute for the truth, and spread the truth.
The recovery of the divine truths is absolutely necessary today, for so many of the truths in the word of God have been lost, misunderstood, and neglected.
Truth is the Triune God with His word; truth is not merely speaking something true but it is the Triune God with His word (see John 1:1, 14-17; 14:6, 16-17; 15:26; 16:13; 17:17; 18:37b).
For us to know the truth, be constituted with the truth, realize the truth, and walk in the truth so that we may propagate the truth, we need to enjoy the Triune God with and in His word.
Many truths in the word of God have been lost, misunderstood, and wrongly applied; throughout the ages many truths were lost, neglected, buried, and misunderstood, so we need to have the recovery of the divine truths among us.
At most what we can see today on earth is that the Bible, the holy word of God, has been translated in many languages and has been spread all over the earth.
However, who understands the deeper truths in the Bible and who enters into their experience in their daily life?
Many Christians believe wrong interpretations of the truth, such as the Father’s house in John 14 being a great mansion where we all get our condo, or that the New Jerusalem is a physical city.
This is the leaven that was put in the word of God by religion, and it has grown in many ways to both make Christianity as a whole a great and high tree with many evil things in it, and it has made it lose its purity and have many evil and impure teachings mixed with the word of God.
The recovery of the divine truths is very much needed today; the recovery has the highest truth – the truth that is the consummation of the truths recovered during the past centuries (2 Tim. 2:2, 15).
Thank the Lord that we live in this age today and not in the age of Martin Luther (who recovered justification by faith) or even during the time of the Brethren (who recovered so many truths in the Bible); today we inherit all the truths and we have the present truth in this age.
We are like Isaac, simply inheriting and enjoying the riches in the word of God, the properly interpreted word of God, and the high peak of the divine revelation for us to know the truth and be constituted with the truth.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for the recovery of the divine truths as revealed in the word of God. We give ourselves to You to enjoy You in Your word, know the truth, be constituted with the truth, and walk in the truth. Amen, Lord, may we be brought to the full knowledge of the truth. Save us from having partial knowledge of the truth; save us from misaiming concerning the truth or misunderstanding the truth. Grant us to have the love of the truth, remain in the truth, realize the truth, and walk in the truth. Hallelujah, truth is nothing else but the Triune God with His word. Keep us enjoying You in Your word and diving into the Word to be constituted with the truth so that we may propagate the truth.
We need to Diligently Learn, Know, and be Constituted with the Truth to be Able to Speak the Truth and Walk in the Truth
As we read the Bible, we realize that it is filled with deep mysteries and profound truths; many times we are like the Ethiopian eunuch, How can I understand this word if no one is there to explain it to me?
Thank the Lord for the recovery of the divine truths in the word of God today through the ministry of the age.
We today can not only read the Bible but also get into the deeper understanding and meaning of the crucial truths in the word of God.
We can give ourselves to diligently learn the truth, know the truth, and be constituted with the truth so that we may be able to speak the truth and walk in the truth.
As we read the Bible, we need to open to the Lord through the exercise of our spirit and turning our heart to the Lord so that He may shine on what we read and grant us divine revelation to understand the truth.
We need to spend time to dig out the divine truths and learn them to be constituted with them (see 1 Cor. 2:10-14).
In the Lord’s recovery, the Lord is recovering the truths in the Bible that were lost; the Lord’s recovery depends upon the recovery of the knowledge of the truth.
The degree to which we are in the Lord’s recovery in an intrinsic and subjective way today depends on the degree to which we are constituted with the truth.
In the New Testament, we are told repeatedly that we should know the truth; in particular, Paul said that we need to come to the full knowledge of the truth (1 Tim. 2:4; 2 Tim. 2:25; 3:7; Titus 1:1).
We need to not only know some of the basic truths or a small part of the truth but have the full knowledge of the truth so that we may be constituted with the truth and be able to speak the truth and walk in the truth.
In the recovery of the divine truths we are being brought back to the word of God to not merely memorize the word of God but even more, enter into its intrinsic significance.
The church is the pillar and base of the truth (1 Tim. 3:15); this implies that the truth in the Bible is like a large building complete on all sides with a foundation and a roof, and the church upholds the truth.
For us to spread the Lord’s recovery today, for us to be in the Lord’s recovery to a deeper extent, and for us to be continually recovered by the Lord and brought back to His original intention to fulfil His purpose, we need to know the truth and be constituted with the truth.
We must know every side of the truth, not having any biases or particular leanings.
There are some crucial items in the Bible such as God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, the believers, the church, the kingdom, and the New Jerusalem; these need to be understood, enjoyed and even experienced by us.
The Bible begins with God and continues with God’s creation, man’s fall, God’s redemption, and God’s entering into man to be man’s life for man to be regenerated, sanctified, renewed, transformed, and conformed to His image, so that man would ultimately be brought into glory.
The Bible reveals the church, the corporate expression of God, composed of all the believers; the church brings in the kingdom of God consummating in the New Jerusalem as God’s ultimate expression in the new heaven and new earth.
May we have the full recovery of the divine truths among us, and may we diligently learn the truth, obtain a full knowledge of the truth, and be able to speak the truth and walk in the truth in this evil age today.
Lord Jesus, we want to diligently learn the divine truth and obtain a full knowledge of the truth so that we may be able to speak the truth and walk in the truth. May we all give ourselves to study the truth, pray over the truth, and be constituted with the truth so that the church would become in reality the pillar and base of the truth. Amen, Lord, make us those who know every side of the truth without any biases or particular leanings. We stand on the shoulders of all those who have gone before us, we inherit all the truths they have discovered and recovered, and we hold on to the present truth today! Amen, Lord, may we all be brought to the full knowledge of the truth in the church life!

– We limit not the truth of God / To our poor reach of mind, / By notions of our day and sect, / Crude, partial and confined. / Now let a new and better hope / Within our hearts be stirred: / The Lord hath yet more light and truth / To break forth from His Word. (Hymns #817)
– But if I delay, / I write that you may know / How one ought to conduct / Himself in the house of God, / Which is the church, / The church of the living God, / The pillar and base, / The pillar and base of the truth. (Scripture song)
– God the Lord has spoken, and His mystery shown, / Christ and His expression has His counsel willed: / Christ with all God’s fulness as the glorious Head, / And the Church His Body, with His riches filled. (Hymns #800)
