We’re in the Lord’s Ascension and Christ is in Ascension and in us: we’re One with Him

And raised us up together with Him and seated us together with Him in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus. Eph. 2:6

We thank and praise the Lord for His glorious and marvellous ascension many years ago, and we especially thank Him for being the Christ in ascension in us making us those who are in the Lord’s ascension one with Him today. Hallelujah!

As believers in Christ, we need to know the ascension of Christ and experience Christ in His ascension.

When He ascended, Christ was inaugurated into His heavenly office through a long process to be the Lord of all, the Christ of God, the enthroned One to carry out God’s administration, and the High Priest.

Christ now is no longer in His earthly ministry; He is carrying out His heavenly ministry.

The Bible reveals both the objective aspect of the Lord’s ascension – which includes all His accomplishments – and the way to subjectively experience Christ in His ascension, even to be in the Lord’s ascension ourselves.

We need to see both aspects – the objective and subjective aspects of the Lord’s ascension.

Objectively, He was crowned with glory and honour, and He was enthroned for God’s administration.

He is now at the right hand of God, administrating the whole universe to carry out God’s purpose.

Furthermore, He was made the Lord and Christ, being inaugurated into His heavenly ministry. And we are one with Him!

We are one with Him not only in His resurrection to enjoy Him as our life and power, but also in His ascension to have His authority.

We need to see the subjective aspect of the Lord’s ascension, mainly to realize that God gave Him to be Head over all things to the church.

In other words, when Christ ascended above all, He was not only enthroned to be Lord of all but even more, God gave Him to be Head over all things to the church.

There is a transmission from the ascended Christ to us, the church.

We simply need to be open to Him so that He would transmit all that He is into us continually.

He is the Head of the church, His Body, and we are His Body, enjoying and receiving all that He is for our experience today.

We need to see where we are right now.

We may think that we’re so low, pitiful, and full of failures and weaknesses, but according to God’s viewpoint, we’re one with the ascended Christ in the heavenlies in our spirit!

The reality of Christ’s ascension can be experienced and enjoyed by us in our spirit.

When we turn to our spirit, we’re one with the Lord.

And when we fail, we have a High Priest, Christ Himself, who is interceding for us and caring for us according to God.

In His heavenly ministry, Christ is our High Priest to bear us in God’s presence and to care for all our needs according to God.

Hallelujah, we can see the objective aspect of the Lord’s ascension and we can enter into the subjective experience of His ascension today in our spirit!

Seeing that We are in the Lord’s Ascension and Christ is in Ascension and in Us

For our commonwealth exists in the heavens, from which also we eagerly await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Phil. 3:20Eph. 2:6 makes the Lord’s ascension real and practical to us.

God raised us up together with Christ and seated us together with Him in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus.

Hallelujah, according to God’s word, we are in the Lord’s ascension!

When we speak of the Lord’s ascension we speak of the entire time from the ascension of Christ to the heavens to His descending for His second coming.

So the entire age of grace is an age in which Christ is in ascension, and we are in the Lord’s ascension with Him.

It is true that Christ today is in the heavens, but more precisely, He is in ascension.

We believers in Christ are in the age of the Lord’s ascension.

He is right now in His heavenly ministry, in the heavens, doing many things.

However, most Christians don’t pay attention to this part of the Lord’s ministry.

They appreciate very much that Christ is the Redeemer, the Lamb of God, and the Savior, and some even know Him as their life and their Head.

But who knows and enjoys Christ in His ascension? Who sees that we are in the Lord’s ascension and that Christ is in ascension and in us?

Christ today is both in the heavens at the right hand of God (Rom. 8:34) and in us (v. 10).

This is quite mysterious and at the same time so marvellous.

This means that we are in ascension with the Lord.

As Paul tells us in Phil. 3:20, our commonwealth is in the heavens; our citizenship as believers in Christ is not in the country we physically live in but in the heavens.

We are citizens of the heavens, for we are seated with Christ in the heavenlies.

We are heavenly citizens, and we are all in ascension with the Lord!

Whenever we exercise our spirit, we are in ascension one with Christ, and Christ is in ascension and in us. How glorious!

The entire age of grace, the age we live in, is the time of the Lord’s ascension.

Christ is not only in ascension but also in us (Col. 1:27); Christ in us, the hope of glory!

He has cut the way into glory, He is in glory, and He is now in us as the hope of glory, leading us into glory!

We are one with Him, and we are seated with Him in the heavenlies.

On the one hand, He’s praying for us on the throne; on the other hand, this throne is in our spirit, and He is bringing ascension into us and is bringing us into ascension. Wow!

We need to ask the Lord to unveil us to see this marvellous scene.

Which He caused to operate in Christ in raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His right hand in the heavenlies. Eph. 1:20 To whom God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Col. 1:27He is not passively waiting for us in the heavens until we are raptured to be with Him; rather, Christ is in ascension and in us, and He is working in His heavenly ministry in our being.

He’s the High Priest praying for us, for He always lives to intercede (Heb. 7:25). He intercedes for us in the heavens and in our spirit.

He’s working in the heavens, and at the same time, He is working in us. This is amazing!

God in Christ went through this marvellous process of incarnation, human living, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension, and in ascension, He came into us to live in us and work in us.

He works and intercedes on the throne in the heavens, and at the same time, He works and intercedes in our spirit.

We are in the Lord’s ascension, and Christ is in ascension and in us at the same time! Praise the Lord!

As He is interceding and working, we grow in life, we reach maturity, we are saved in His life, and we are transformed and built up.

Little by little, as a result of being in the Lord’s ascension and Him being in us, we are arriving at the stature of the fullness of Christ. Hallelujah!

When we see this marvellous scene, when we realize that we are in the Lord’s ascension and He is in ascension and in us, living, moving, and operating, we will simply praise Him and open to Him!

This vision will transform us, for we will see how He operates and works in ascension and in us!

Lord Jesus, grant us to see that we are in the Lord’s ascension, one with the Lord! Hallelujah, God raised us up together with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenlies. Wow, Lord, we praise You for what You have done and for what You are doing in Your ascension! We are in Your ascension, and You are in ascension and in us at the same time! Grant us to realize that we are in Christ and Christ is in us as the hope of glory. May we see Your heavenly ministry and open to Your operating and working today. Amen, Lord, thank You for interceding for us as the High Priest before God in the heaven. Thank You for ministering God into us and bringing us into God. Praise the Lord, we are in the Lord’s ascension, Christ is in ascension, and Christ is also in us! Keep us in our spirit today, Lord, so that we may live in the reality of this wonderful mystery! Hallelujah!

God is Moving in Christ’s Ascension and we’re One with Him to have the Same History

The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you. 2 Tim. 4:22

Christ is today in His ascension, and He is still moving in His ascension; He is living, dwelling, staying, ministering, serving, working, and acting in His ascension.

He’s not merely sitting there on the throne, thinking that His work is done; rather, He has a non-stop heavenly ministry.

He is moving in His ascension. He is living in His ascension.

He is staying, ministering, serving, working, and acting in His ascension.

We are in the Lord’s ascension and Christ is in ascension and in us.

Husbands, love your wives even as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her...Because we are members of His Body. Eph. 5:25, 30 For to me, to live is Christ... Phil. 1:21a But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the spirit is life because of righteousness. Rom. 8:10 My children, with whom I travail again in birth until Christ is formed in you. Gal. 4:19Within our being as believers in Christ, there is an extraordinary person – the ascended Christ. Hallelujah!

We need to ask the Lord to show us a vision of this extraordinary person – Christ in His ascension – who lives in us!

We need to ask the Lord to cause us to see that the Lord is in our spirit in His ascension (2 Tim. 4:22).

In this ascension, the Triune God moves in us, and this move becomes our history.

God moved in many ways, and in particular, He moved in man when He became a man.

He moved in the Lord Jesus through His incarnation, human living, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension.

Now in His ascension, God is moving in Christ’s ascension, and we are one with Him to have the same history.

Before a husband married his wife, he had his history and she had hers; however, after they got married, their history became one – she shared in his history, and he shared in hers.

It is the same with the Triune God and us; before we were saved, we had our history and He had His, but after being regenerated, His history became ours and our history became His. Wow!

The history of the Triune God becomes our history, and our history is actually His history of moving in man.

Instead of looking back at our failures, weaknesses, and mistakes, we need to look to the wonderful Jesus who is enthroned in heaven.

We need to look away unto Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who is now in ascension, enthroned in heaven, and who is also in our spirit (Heb. 12:2). Hallelujah!

The Lord Jesus into whom we have believed and to whom we’re intimately joined is not only in the heavens in ascension but even more, He is in our spirit, even one with us in our spirit.

Since He came into us, His history became our history, and our history is His history; we are one, and we have the same history – God and man, man and God.

If we think that this is too much to say, we need to look at Phil. 1:21 which says that we live Christ, Eph. 1:23 which says that we are the fullness of Christ, and Eph. 5:25 and 30 which say that we are members of the Body of Christ and components of the bride of Christ.

It’s not Christ here and we there, and we worship Him while He does things for us; we are in Christ, Christ is in us, we are intimately joined and connected together, and He lives in us and we live Him out. Wow!

We are the members of Christ, He is our Head and our life, and where He is, that’s where we are. Christ is in ascension and in us, and we are in the Lord’s ascension one with Him. Wow!

For where there are two or three gathered into My name, there am I in their midst. Matt. 18:20 If therefore you were raised together with Christ, seek the things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God...For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ our life is manifested, then you also will be manifested with Him in glory. Col. 3:1, 3-4Christ is the embodiment of the Triune God, and we as believers in Christ and members of the Body of Christ are parts of this embodiment in His ascension (Rom. 8:10; 2 Cor. 13:5; Gal. 2:20; 4:19; Col. 2:9).

We are part of the corporate embodiment and expression of Christ! Whenever we’re gathered together into His name, Christ is there with us, all His members, in His ascension; this is God’s move within man (Matt. 18:20; Col. 3:1, 3-4; Eph. 1:20; 2:6).

He is with us and in us both personally and corporately. When we live Christ personally, we express Him and He lives in us.

When we gather together in the Lord’s name, we are in the Lord’s ascension, He is there with us in ascension, and He moves within us. Praise the Lord!

A striking example of this is Paul’s long and unfortunate voyage to Rome, where he went as a prisoner to appear before the king.

All throughout his voyage, though he was a prisoner in a chain, he remained in the Lord’s ascension one with Him, and the Lord entrusted all the souls of those around him to him.

He behaved one with the Lord, he was in the Lord’s ascension, and the Lord was in ascension and in him in a very real and practical way.

The others saw Jesus living again among them. He lived an overcoming life because he was living in ascension, and Christ in His ascension was living in him.

Christ is in ascension and in us, and He lives in us to express Himself through us today.

Lord Jesus, thank You for coming into us to regenerate us and mingle Yourself with us. Hallelujah, we are now one spirit with the Lord, and in spirit we are in the Lord’s ascension and Christ is in us. Amen, Lord, keep us in our spirit today. We want to remain in our spirit in all the things we need to do and take care of today. May we see the extraordinary person of the Lord Jesus living in us! Hallelujah, Christ is in ascension and He is also in us to live in us! Praise the Lord, we can live Christ, we can become the fullness of Christ, and we are members of the Body of Christ to be His corporate expression on the earth! Amen, Lord, keep us in the Lord’s ascension today. Move in us, work in us, and carry out Your purpose in us. May our history become Your history and may Your history be our history in a subjective way. Amen, Lord Jesus, we love You and we want to live one with You in Your ascension!

[The] heavenly ministry is the Lord’s work in His ascension…The term ascension covers the span from the ascending of the Lord to His descending for His second coming…Where is Christ today?…

To say that He is in the heavens is too shallow. We have to learn to say, “The Lord today is in His ascension.” The entire age of grace is the time of the Lord’s ascension. He is in the heavens doing a lot, but today’s Christians do not pay adequate attention to this part of Christ’s ministry.

Today He is both in the heavens seated at the right hand of God (Rom. 8:34) and in us (v. 10). This is very mysterious. He is in the heavens in ascension, and His presence within us is in the ascension. Today we are in ascension.

We are not earthly persons but heavenly persons. Philippians 3:20 says that our commonwealth, or citizenship, is in the heavens. We are the heavenly citizens, so we all are in ascension (Eph. 2:6b).

Dear brother, we need to see that we believers in Christ are persons in ascension and the Christ who is in ascension is in us.

We are in Him and He is in us.

He moved through incarnation, human living, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension, and He came into us to move in us.

He and us, we and Him, we are writing the divine history within the human history. Wow!

Hallelujah! Lord Jesus, thank You for coming in us as the ascended One. Thank You for seating us with You in the heavenlies, in Your ascension. We want to live one in spirit with You today! Move in us a little more today! Save us more in Your life!

amen, brother. Thank you, Lord that you are the ascended Christ in us. Amen. May our living be in You as the ascended one in our spirit. Hallelujah.

I enjoyed that we today can receive such a wonderful transmission of the Christ who is the ascended one. may all these points become our subjective experience.

From the ministry, I enjoyed this portion. The transcending Christ’s transmission also brings us into Christ’s heavenly ministry in His twelve statuses, which He has attained and obtained in His ascension, as the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ—Phil. 1:19:

  1. The Lord of all—Acts 2:36a.
  2. The Christ of God—v. 36b.
  3. The Leader of all the rulers—5:31a.
  4. The Saviour—v. 31b.
  5. The High Priest—Heb. 4:14-15; 7:26.
  6. The Advocate—1 John 2:1b.
  7. The Intercessor—Heb. 7:25.
  8. The Mediator of the new covenant—8:6.
  9. The surety of the new covenant—7:22.
  10. The Life-giver—John 10:10b.
  11. The Comforter—14:16-17.
  12. The Lamb-God—Rev. 22:1b.

Dear brother, today we must see that we are persons in ascension.

We are heavenly, not earthly because we have the ascended Christ – the embodiment of the Triune God – dwelling in our spirit! Praise the Lord!

Such a Christ as our High Priest is both interceding for us in the heavenlies and in us.

In the age of grace, we are in ascension, seated with Christ in the heavenlies at the right hand of the throne of God, even as He is in us for God’s move with man. Hallelujah!

Our God in Christ is mingled with our spirit so that His history and our history are one. Amen!

Whenever we gather into His name as persons in ascension God is moving in us!

Amen! Move in us today more Lord! We want to experience You in ascension

05/11/24 Knowing the Ascension (Week 7, Day 6)

“We Need to See that We are in the Lord’s Ascension”

Among most Christians the general emphasis is put on the work that Christ did on earth. But who talks about the heavenly ministry of Christ? Most Christians have not heard much concerning Christ’s heavenly ministry. As believers in Christ, we need to see concerning the ministry of Christ in His ascension. In particular, we need to see the Christ in ascension, the offices of Christ in His ascension, and the heavenly ministry of Christ as the continuation and complement of His earthly ministry.

Christ’s earthly ministry and His heavenly ministry are actually not two ministries. They are two sections of Christ’s ministry. Christ’s ministry comprises not only what He did on earth but also what He is doing in the heavens. He has not yet finished His ministry. In Christ’s earthly ministry, He had already accomplished His work of redemption for sinners to be saved.

But, His dispensing work into His believers to produce the Body of Christ is still going on. This is His heavenly ministry. Actually, His heavenly ministry is His work in His ascension. The word “ascension” covers the span from the ascending of the Lord to His descending for His second coming.

In His incarnation, Christ accomplished His earthly ministry, which began from His being baptized in water and anointed with the Holy Spirit and ended up being crucified on the cross to shed His blood for the forgiveness of our sins (Mat 3:16; Heb 9:22). In His resurrection and ascension, He started His heavenly ministry by imparting Himself as the Life-giving Spirit into His many believers.

When the Lord was crucified on the cross, He said, “It is finished.” (John 19:30) This means that His work concerning His earthly ministry was already finished. But His work concerning His heavenly ministry is still going on. The heavenly ministry of Christ is the continuation and complement of His earthly ministry.

Ephesians 2:6 says, “And raised us up together with Him and seated us together with Him in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus,” This verse reveals that when Christ was raised up, that is, resurrected from the dead, we, the believers in Christ, were also raised up together with Him. And when Christ ascended and seated Himself on the throne in the Heavenlies, we too were seated together with Him.

We need to know and firmly believe that we are where the Lord is. The Lord today is in ascension; we today are also in ascension. We are no longer earthly persons, but heavenly persons; since we all are in ascension, we are the heavenly citizens (Eph 2:6b).

On the one hand, Christ is in our regenerated spirit (Rom 8:10); on the other hand, He in the heavens seated at the right hand of God (Rom 8:34; Eph 1:20). Christ is both in our spirit and in the heavens. He is working in the heavens, and, at the same time, He is also working in our spirit.

Now in the heavens, Christ is ministering, and His ministry in the heavens today is for His church and His believers. He is doing something there for you and me. On the one hand, Christ is in the heavens to intercede for us (Heb 7:25). On the other hand, He is in our spirit to supply us with all our needs.

Before we were regenerated, we and God had separate histories. But when we were regenerated, Christ then dwelt in our spirit and we have become one with Him. From then on, we experience what Christ has experienced. We and God then have one history.

God’s move in the heavens becomes our move on the earth. Actually, our moving on the earth is God’s moving within us, in our spirits. Just as Christ is the embodiment of God, we too have become the corporate manifestation of God in the flesh because we are one with Christ, Who embodies God (1 Tim. 3:16).

“We praise You, Lord Jesus, for accomplishing Your earthly ministry for our redemption from sins, and Your ongoing heavenly ministry, which is, Your move within us to dispense Yourself into our tripartite being in order for us to become the full manifestation of God in the flesh. Amen.”
