The Living of the Jubilee is a Living in the Enjoyment of Christ full of Rejoicing

Phil. 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.

The living of the jubilee is a living in the enjoyment of Christ, a living of eating the Lord as the produce of the good land, a living that has the tone of praising God and thanking Him continually.

The way for us to enjoy Christ as the jubilee is by setting our mind on the spirit (Rom. 8:6). When our mind is set on the flesh, what we experience is death, but when our mind is set on the mingled spirit, we experience life and peace.

It is a great discovery for us when we realise – as the apostle Paul did – that the law of the Spirit of life has been installed in our spirit at the time of our regeneration, and this law can be activated to automatically operate in our being.

When the necessary conditions are fulfilled for the law of the aerodynamics to be activated, this law comes into being and operates automatically, and the law of gravity is spontaneously defeated. It is the same with the law of the Spirit of life.

As men in the flesh we have sin in our nature, in the members of our body, and whenever we live in the flesh, we sin spontaneously and automatically – we sin by default.

But when we call on the name of the Lord and exercise our spirit, turning our heart to the Lord, the law of the Spirit of life is activated in our being, and we enter into a realm where there’s no sin or the world but only victory and peace.

The key is that we exercise our spirit to touch the Lord. Nothing works if we don’t exercise our spirit.

We may know very much, and we may be clear concerning the law of sin and of death in our members and the law of the Spirit of life in our spirit, but unless we exercise our spirit, we have no way to experience the release from the law of sin and the enjoyment of the riches or Christ.

We need to get out of ourselves and get into the mingled spirit by exercising our spirit, turning our heart to the Lord, and calling on the name of the Lord, and we will experience real freedom and true enjoyment of God as our inheritance.

It is wonderful that we in the church life in the Lord’s recovery know that we have a spirit and that the law of life is installed in our spirit, and we know how we can switch on the law of life so that we may activate it and allow it to operate in us all throughout the day.

Hallelujah, Christ is in our spirit! Oh Lord Jesus, keep us turning to You! Keep us turning to our spirit and loving You all throughout the day! Amen, Lord Jesus, we stop our struggling and striving to please God, defeat sin, and fulfill Your word. We just want to turn to our spirit and enjoy You so that we may have the living of the jubilee in our daily living!

The Living of the Jubilee is a Living in the Enjoyment of Christ as our Inheritance and Freedom

The living of the jubilee is a living in the enjoyment of Christ, a living of enjoying God as our inheritance and real freedom - Acts 26:18; John 8:36. To be in the jubilee is to eat the Lord Jesus as the real produce of the good land, take Him as our dwelling place for our rest, and be freed from the slavery of sin and from the bondage of law and religion - 6:57; Deut. 8:7-10; Col. 1:12; John 15:5; Psa. 16:5; 90:1; Rom. 6:6-7; Gal. 5:1. The only way to be released from the three kinds of labor in human life - the labor to be a good person, the labor of anxiety, and the labor of suffering is to take Christ as our enjoyment, satisfaction, and rest - Rom. 7:24-32; Phil. 4:5-7; 2 Cor. 12:9. Witness LeeHow can we today have a living of the jubilee? There are many practical ways to live in the jubilee in a practical way, and the first one is eating the Lord Jesus.

To be in the jubilee is to eat the Lord Jesus; the way for us to be both enjoying our inheritance and experience freedom from bondage is to enjoy the Lord by taking Him into us as our food.

Furthermore, we need to take Christ as our dwelling place, our home; we need to dwell in Christ, abide in Him, and make our home in Him, even as He abides in us and makes His home in our heart.

The living of the jubilee is a living in the enjoyment of Christ, a living of enjoying God as our inheritance and real freedom (see Acts 26:18; John 8:36).

To be in the jubilee is to eat the Lord Jesus as the real produce of the good land; we labor on Christ, we get into the word, we pray over God’s word, and we experience Christ, and we eat the Lord as the real produce of the good land.

The living of the jubilee is eating Christ and taking Him as our dwelling place for our rest, and we will be freed from the slavery of sin and the bondage of law and religion (see Deut. 8:7-10; Col. 1:12; John 15:5; Psa. 16:5; 90:1; Rom. 6:6-7; Gal. 5:1).

The only way for us to be released from any kind of labor in the human life is to take Christ as our enjoyment, satisfaction, and rest (see Rom. 7:24-32; Phil. 4:5-7; 2 Cor. 12:9).

There are at least three kinds of labor in our human life – besides the labor of working at a job to earn a living: the labor to be a good person, the labor of anxiety, and the labor of suffering.

We may labor much to be a good person, have a good behavior, improve our behavior, and be patient, kind, good, and honest. But no one can be saved out of this labor to be good; we simply need to be filled with the enjoyment of Christ!

We all labor in anxiety; from the moment we wake up, unless we enjoy the Lord, we are full of anxiety about our family, the things we have, the things we don’t have, the things we need to do, the things we didn’t do, etc.

Laboring under anxiety is a hard job; if we were to do our job every day without having any anxiety, we would be a healthy person. The only way we can escape the labor of anxiety and have the living of the jubilee is to enjoy the Lord; when we don’t enjoy the Lord, we are anxious.

We may labor in suffering; suffering is something we all have, and we can’t escape it, but we may labor in suffering.

Paul, for example, had a thorn in the flesh and he was suffering, so he asked the Lord to remove this thorn; however, instead of removing this thorn, the Lord told him, My grace is sufficient to you (2 Cor. 12:7-8).

The Lord wants not to remove the suffering but for us to enjoy Him and take Him as our satisfaction and rest. Even as we serve the Lord in the church, we may get anxious; it is easy to slip into anxiety. Every day we need to tell the Lord,

Lord Jesus, we want to have the living of the jubilee by living in the enjoyment of Christ as our inheritance and as our freedom! We take You as our enjoyment, satisfaction, and rest. We come to You, Lord, with all our toils, laboring, and burdens; give us rest and peace for our souls. Lord, we want to live in the jubilee today by enjoying You as our everything. Grant us to have a living in the enjoyment of Christ; we want to enjoy Christ not only in the meetings but also in our daily life.

The Living of the Jubilee is a Life full of Praises, Rejoicing, and Thanking God

Phil. 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses every man’s understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. On His side, the Lord has done everything: God went through a process to become a life-giving Spirit who is the reality of the good land for our enjoyment, and Christ has won the victory over the enemy.

All we have to do today is thank the Lord, praise Him, rejoice in His victory, and live an overcoming life. The tone of an overcoming living should be praising the Lord, rejoicing in Him, and giving thanks to the Lord for everything.

Our living should be the living of the jubilee by giving thanks to the Lord for all things and praise Him for what He has done. When we allow ourselves to live in an atmosphere of sorrow, we lose the enjoyment of Christ.

We should not rejoice in the Lord only occasionally, when we remember it, or when we are happy or something good happened.

We should not have a time out in our rejoicing; rather, we should never lose our joy, for when we do, we lose our victory. In all kinds of situations and in any environment, we should rejoice in the Lord and praise Him (1 Pet. 4:13).

Our Christian life should be a life full of enjoying the Lord, a life full of joy and praises, for when we enjoy the Lord fully, He Himself becomes our jubilee.

The tone of an overcoming living is the tone of rejoicing, thanking, and praising God continually (see 1 Thes. 5:16-18; Psa. 50:14, 23). We need to take Christ as our thanksgiving, and offer Him to the Father as our thanksgiving offering.

The living of the jubilee is a life in which we take God Himself, Christ Himself, in every situation; then He becomes the primary factor and center in us to lead us and overrule all the troubles of human life - John 6:16-21; Col. 1:17b, 18b. Because everything is under His sovereignty, we should pray, “Lord, fill me, gain me, and possess me; no matter what my outward situation is, I just want to enjoy You.” We need to be today’s ministers and witnesses by living and proclaiming the gospel - Christ as the jubilee of grace - for the accomplishing of God’s eternal economy - Acts 26:16-19. Witness LeeThe living of the jubilee is a life in which we take God Himself, Christ Himself, in every situation; we take Him, we enjoy Him, and He becomes the primary factor and center in us to lead us and overrule all the troubles of the human life (John 6:16-21; Col. 1:17-18).

When we enjoy Christ, He in us becomes our center and the factor of emancipation and liberation from any labor under anxiety, suffering, and desire to be good and do good.

The apostle Paul learned the secret of gaining Christ in any kind of environment – he learned the secret of living in the jubilee, which is to enjoy Christ in all situations.

Our Christian life should be a life of fully enjoying the jubilee; when we enjoy the Lord fully, He becomes our jubilee, and He becomes our inheritance and freedom.

Then, we will be full of thanksgiving, praises, and rejoicing. First, we need to open to the Lord and ask Him to empty us of ourselves so that He may gain us and possess us, and then we need to give ourselves to enjoy the Lord.

When we enjoy the Lord, we have the living of the jubilee, and we will be freed from anything that would torment or enslave us, for we enjoy Christ as our inheritance. May we all tell the Lord,

Lord Jesus, empty us of anything of ourselves and fill us, gain us, and possess us fully! Oh Lord, no matter what the outward situation is, we just want to enjoy You! We want to have a life and a living in the enjoyment of Christ as our jubilee. Hallelujah, Christ is our jubilee! Thank You God for giving us Christ as our Emancipator, Liberator, and All-Inclusive Portion! Thank You Lord Jesus for being such a rich One to us! Praise the Lord for all the situations and people around us. Keep us enjoying You in all things!
