We need to Know and Study the Highest Truth in the Bible to be Equipped to Speak

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, an unashamed workman, cutting straight the word of the truth. 2 Tim. 2:15

We need to fully know and be absolute for the highest truth in the Bible, and we need to be equipped with the truth so that we may speak the high truth to others for God to gain them and bring them into His eternal purpose. Amen!

May we be those who are brought to the full knowledge of the truth; may we not only be saved and enjoy God’s salvation but even more, may we come to the full knowledge of the truth.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that we should study the Bible more, join more Bible study groups, and read the Bible more; yes, reading the Bible is very important, and properly reading the Bible is critical, but we aspire to come to the full knowledge of the truth.

The truth is the shining of the light in the Word of God. For us to gain the truth and have the truth infused into us, deposited into our being, and constituted into us, we need to have the Lord’s shining in His word.

This means that it is not good enough for us to just read the Bible; we need to read and pray over God’s word so that the objective truths in the word of God become subjective to us.

The Bible is not merely the love letter of the Triune God to man, neither is the Bible only a book that shows us God’s purpose.

The Bible is the very breath of God, the breathing out of God Himself, so that we as men of God may be equipped and complete, ready for every good work (2 Tim. 3:15-16).

This indicates that we as believers in Christ who aspire to come to the full knowledge of the truth need to come to the Lord in His word with the exercise of our spirit so that we may breathe in the breathed-out word of God.

We need to turn our hearts to the Lord and exercise our spirit when we come to God’s word so that we may receive the Spirit and life contained in the word.

The words that the Lord speaks to us are spirit and are life (John 6:63); we need to find a way to convert the written word of God into spirit and life.

This means that we need to pray much, pray to open our being to the Lord and deal with anything that hinders His shining, so that we may have the Lord’s fresh appearing.

Oh, how we need the Lord’s shining in His word whenever we read the Bible!

How much we need to simply sit at His feet, calm down our being, and take in the Lord by means of His word!

And how much we need to come to the full knowledge of the truth by coming to the Lord in His word to read, pray, and fellowship with Him!

When we exercise our spirit over the truths in the word of God, we will touch, enjoy, and experience the subjective truths in the word, and the Lord has a way of uplifting our experience of Christ for the building up of the church.

We need to Fully Know, be Absolute for and Speak forth the Highest Truth in the Bible

Concerning His Son, who came out of the seed of David according to the flesh, Who was designated the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness out of the resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom. 1:3-4

When Paul wrote the book of Romans, which he called his gospel, he said that the gospel is concerning the Son of God, who came out of the seed of David according to the flesh but was designated the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness (Rom. 1:3-4).

What kind of gospel is this? We need to fully know and be absolute for the highest truth; we need to know the truth, fully know it, and be absolute for the highest truth (Rom. 8:3; 1:3-4; 12:4-5).

The highest truth in the Bible is that in Christ God became man in order to make man God in life, nature, constitution, and expression but not in the Godhead so that the redeeming God and the redeemed man can be united, mingled, and incorporated together to become one entity (John 1:12-14; 14:20; Rev. 21:2, 10-11). Wow!

For that which the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending His own Son in the likeness of the flesh of sin and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh. Rom. 8:3 For just as in one body we have many members, and all the members do not have the same function, So we who are many are one Body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Rom. 12:4-5This is the highest truth in the Word of God. God became a man so that man may become God in life and nature but not in the Godhead.

The high peak of the divine revelation – the “diamond” in the “box” of the Bible – is the revelation that in Christ God has become man in order that man might become God in life and nature but not in the Godhead (2 Sam. 7:12-14a; Rom. 8:3; 1:3-4; Eph. 3:17).

This is the diamond in the box of the Bible; we may appreciate many other truths in the Bible, but when it comes to the highest truth, we need to know this matter.

God became man through incarnation, and man becomes God through regeneration, sanctification, renewing, transformation, and conformation (John 3:5-6; 1:12-13; Rom. 6:19, 22; 12:2; 8:29-30).

We need to know the high peak truth, be constituted with this highest truth, be absolute for this truth, and speak forth the highest truth in the Bible.

It is only by God’s becoming man to make man God that the Body of Christ can be produced and built up; this is the high peak of the divine revelation given to us by God (v. 3; 1:3-4; 8:14-16; 12:4-5).

This is not just a theory or a very high doctrine; this is the highest peak of the divine revelation, the highest truth in the Bible, and this truth needs to become our constitution, experience, and speaking.

The Body of Christ as the organism of the Triune God can be produced only out of Christ, for the Body of Christ is Christ Himself in every way, but Christ enlarged, expanded, and magnified.

This means that we as believers in Christ need to become the same as Christ in life, in nature, and in expression and function, but not in the Godhead; the Godhead is only His, for He is the Head and we are the Body.

How do we become the same as Christ?

The Bible reveals the many steps of God’s organic salvation for us to become the same as God in life and nature but not in the Godhead.

First, we are regenerated with the life of God, we are sanctified with the nature of God, we are renewed with the mind of God, we’re transformed in the image of God, we are conformed to the image of Christ, and eventually we are glorified in order to enter into His expression in full.

Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:5-6 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of God, to those who believe into His name, Who were begotten not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13 And do not be fashioned according to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and well pleasing and perfect. Rom. 12:2Through these steps of God’s organic salvation, we become the same as Christ in life, nature, expression, and function.

We have experienced regeneration, and we daily experience His renewing, His sanctifying work, His transforming work, His conformation, and even His glorification.

All these are very subjective to us, and we’re in the process of God’s organic salvation in order to become God in life and nature but not in the Godhead.

This truly is the highest truth, and we need to know it, enjoy it, pray over it, experience it, and speak it forth.

The standard of the Lord’s recovery depends upon the standard of the truth that we put out; the truths will be the measure and the standard (John 18:37).

If we pay attention to and are absolute for the highest truth in the Bible, our daily living will be uplifted, our experience of Christ will advance, and we will live a life for the fulfilment of God’s eternal purpose to build up the church as the Body of Christ.

The reality which is in Jesus will become our reality, and we will live the same kind of life as He did.

And our speaking will not be common but uplifted, for we are absolute for and speak for the highest truth in the Bible.

Lord Jesus, we want to fully know and be absolute for the highest truth in the Bible! Hallelujah, the highest truth in the Bible is that in Christ God became man to make man God! Wow, in Christ God has become man in order that man might become God in life and nature but not in the Godhead. Thank You, Lord, for going through the processes of incarnation, human living, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension in order to become a life-giving Spirit and regenerate us for Your Body. Thank You for coming into us to regenerate us, sanctify us, renew us, transform us, conform us, and glorify us! Amen, Lord, we praise You for the process of God’s organic salvation by means of which we, human beings, can become the same as God in life and nature but not in the Godhead! We want to know this highest truth, be absolute for the truth, and speak forth the highest truth until the Lord carries it out among us on earth!

Our Need to Study the Divine Truths to be Equipped for the Preaching of the Gospel and Speaking the Highest Truth

And the things which you have heard from me through many witnesses, these commit to faithful men, who will be competent to teach others also. 2 Tim. 2:2We need to come to the full knowledge of the truth by studying the divine truths in the word of God day by day.

We thank the Lord for putting the Bible in our hand.

The Bible has been translated into our language and we have the word of God in our hands.

Even more, there are many footnotes and cross-references in the Recovery Version Bible to help us understand the word, apprehend the deeper meaning of God’s word, and apply it to our Christian experience.

We thank and praise the Lord for the ministry of the age that opens up and properly interprets the word of God according to the vision of God’s eternal economy to build up the church as the Body of Christ.

We simply need to be those who are faithfully coming to the Lord every day in His word to study the word and be saturated with the divine truths in the Bible.

We need to read the ministry publications and put them everywhere in our house, carry them with us, and read and pray over God’s word.

As we diligently read and study the ministry books, we will be constituted with the truth (Acts 2:42).

Then, when we open our mouth, we will speak the highest truth in the Bible, for the precious truths in the word of God will spontaneously flow out of us (2 Tim. 2:2, 15).

May the Lord save us from speaking a superficial gospel, a gospel that merely promises people eternal life and salvation from eternal perdition.

People today are smart, and they are looking for the highest truth, which we have in our hands.

When we speak to others, we should not speak the low gospel or a superficial gospel; we need to realize that people today are thoughtful, and they have spent some time considering what is the meaning of their human life.

We can use the booklet, The Mystery of Human Life to unlock the mysteries of the universe and of human life.

There are many thoughtful people, including young people, students, and even teenagers, who have considered what is the meaning of human life and desire to know the goal of their human existence.

They may be familiar with religion and ethics, and many have tried things such as philosophy and other things, but they have never heard the deeper truths in the Bible, nor do they know what is the highest truth in the Bible.

We need to be filled with and constituted with the highest truth in the Bible and speak such truths to others.

Although people today may be familiar with religion, ethics, or philosophy, most of them have never heard the deeper truths in the Bible. We need to present the deeper truths to others, such as the truth concerning life, the Triune God, the enjoyment of Christ, justification, sanctification, and the dispensing of God. For instance, we may tell people that they were created as vessels in order to receive God as their content so that He may live in them (Gen. 1:26; Rom. 9:21, 23; 2 Cor. 4:7; Eph. 3:17). Many of us can testify that the high truths we presented to others astonished and captured a good number among them. If we speak the deeper truths to people, using the footnotes of the Recovery Version, we will be able to attract them. Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1987, vol. 1, p. 8We need to speak to them the truths concerning the divine life, the Triune God, the enjoyment of Christ, justification by faith, sanctification with God’s nature, and the dispensing of God.

We may tell them that they are vessels created by God to contain God as their content so that He may live in them and be the treasure in their earthen vessel (Gen. 1:26; Rom. 9:21, 23; 2 Cor. 4:7; Eph. 3:17).

When they hear such a high truth, this will astonish them and capture them for the Lord.

We simply need to take the “gold bar” with us, the Recovery Version Bible, and open it to them, reading them the text and the footnotes, and they will be attracted to the Lord.

The way to contact others is one by one, not in the way of large gospel gatherings.

We may speak to fifty people, but eventually none of them will be gained; we should speak the highest truth in the Bible to one or two, and pray that the Lord would gain them.

May the Lord make us those who are constituted with the truth to be equipped with the highest truth in the Bible so that, when we meet both believers and unbelievers, we may speak the deeper truths in the word of God to them.

For us to be equipped with the divine truths and therefore preach the high gospel, we need to study the divine truths and come to the full knowledge of the truth.

Lord Jesus, we want to study the divine truths in the Word of God and in the ministry of the age so that we may come to the full knowledge of the truth. Amen, Lord, we want to be filled with the truth and constituted with the deeper truths in the word of God. May the divine truth fill us and overflow through us so that we may speak not a superficial gospel but the deeper truths in the word of God! Amen, Lord Jesus, make us those who know the truth, are absolute for the truth, and speak the highest truth in the Bible for the Lord to gain many more people for His kingdom and for the building up of the church! Speak in us and through us, Lord, the highest gospel so that many thoughtful and seeking people may see God, receive Christ, and be regenerated in order to become God-men! Amen, Lord Jesus, gain many more God-men who are in the process of becoming the same as Christ in life, nature, expression, and function!

    – All Scripture is the very breath of God, / And by His Spirit into words was breathed; / By godly men the words were written down, / With all God’s fulness unto man bequeathed… / It is the breath of God for us to breathe, / That as our portion God we may enjoy; / Receiving it by spirits exercised, / Our need is met, His wealth we may employ. (Hymns #799 stanzas 1 and 6)
    – All the knowledge of the Scriptures / Into life must be transformed, / All the mental understanding / In the spirit must be formed; / All the Scriptural understanding / Must become the life received, / All the knowledge of the letters / In the spirit be conceived. / Just to touch the Word for knowledge / Is to take the very way / By which Eve was lured by Satan / And by knowledge led astray; / But as life to take the Scripture / Is the tree of life to eat; / Thus the Word we must be taking / In the spirit as our meat. (Hymns #816 stanzas 4-5)
    – By reading I’m enlightened, filled, / By prayer my thirst is quenched indeed; / Thus Thou to me may be supplied, / And Thou through me may meet the need. / I long to have such fellowship / To read and pray and blend with Thee; / I long that Thou wouldst saturate / Till Thou may overflow from me. (Hymns #813 stanzas 10-11)

When we go out to contact people, we should go with the full knowledge of the truth (1 Tim. 2:4). In order to be saturated with the divine truths in the Bible, we need to read the ministry publications, placing these publications everywhere in our home—in the bedrooms, in the living room, on the dining table, and in the kitchen. We should diligently read the ministry books so that we may be constituted with the truth (cf. Acts 2:42). If we are filled with the truth, then whenever we open our mouth, these precious truths will spontaneously flow out of us (2 Tim. 2:2, 15). We should go out not with a superficial gospel but with a high gospel in order to meet people’s need, which is the Triune God…A good number of people today are knowledgeable and thoughtful and have spent some time considering the meaning of their human life. A superficial gospel that focuses on salvation from hell and into heaven will not attract them, because they have already heard such a gospel. The saints have found the booklet The Mystery of Human Life to be effective in preaching the gospel. This is because the subject of this booklet addresses the need of many thoughtful people today.

In order to match God’s work, the way before us needs some adjustments. I can mention a few of these. First, there is the need to train people. In training people, we need to pay attention to the vessels themselves. The vessels must be right before the work can be right. Second, we have to strengthen our existing works. Third, we have to learn to judge others and to deal with others. We have to stop those who are too much and strengthen those who are not enough. In the future, we will judge the world and the angels (1 Cor. 6:2-3). For this reason, we have to learn to judge today. The first one we have to learn to judge is ourselves. If we do not judge ourselves, our judgment will not be clear. If we ourselves have been dealt with, our judgments will be accurate. Those who are the ministers of the word should especially learn the proper lessons. At the same time, all the brothers and sisters should learn to receive the portion of the ministers of the word.

Fourth, money must have no place in the heart of the co-workers. The co-workers must be delivered from the bondage of money. Any feeling for money in the co-workers must be completely taken away. We hope that the Lord will work to such an extent that we can have all things in common in the church.

Fifth, the local churches should pay much attention to the newly saved ones, to properly equip them and to render them the clear teachings. Two kinds of perfectings are necessary. One is the preaching of the gospel. This must be done year round in all the places. The other is the edification of the new believers. This needs a few dozen topics with which we educate the new believers week after week. These topics are fixed topics; there is no need to devise more advanced topics. The same topics can be used year round. Those who will serve as the speaking vessels need to learn the topics first. They should also know how to use the adequate materials.

Some brothers should remain in a place to wait on the Lord. Some should spend more time traveling to other places, while the rest stay in one place. Everyone should learn to work together as a Body. There should not be a church that is only tied to its own “turf,” one that is closed to outsiders.

Oh, how we need to be filled with the truth and be able to spontaneously speak the truth to others, especially with those whom we contact.

May we take the Lord for us to be diligent to present ourselves approved to God, an unashamed workman, cutting straight the word of the truth.

May we be the faithful ones competent to teach others also of the full knowledge of the truth.

Lord, we pray this for ourselves and for all the saints. It takes *all the saints *to rise up and function to speak the truth of the gospel to reach the inhabited earth.

Oh Lord Jesus🙏🙏

The main reason why we are living on this earth is to be His witness so that others can be saved.

To be a witness means to preach the highest gospel, the triune God, for the whole world in love.

We are called to be fishers of men.

This can be done by the Spirit living in us, but not by our own effort.

Glory be to the Lord, because it is his good will that all people be saved!

We need to fully know and be absolute for the deepest truths.

The standard of the Lord’s recovery depends upon the standard of the truth we dispense.

May the Lord equip us with the full knowledge of the truth that we can dispense into others one by one.

May we not be ashamed to cut the Word straight and present the high gospel to others. If not us — who?

In these last days, the Lord needs people who will give themselves to the study of the divine truths so that as many as possible can come to a full knowledge of the truth.

How privileged are we to receive this charge from Jesus.

We need to go to people with the full knowledge of the truth. We should not merely go out with a gospel that many have heard before.

We want to reach the “thoughtful ones,” those who consider human life.

For this we should continue steadfastly in our homes reading this ministry and present the mystery of human life to such ones that would receive this high gospel.

O Lord Jesus thank You for this ministry. Grant us the grace to enter into it more in 2024 that we could speak these truths to preach such a gospel to these ones!
