As our High Priest, Christ is Able to Save us to the Uttermost, the Fullest Extent

He is Able to Save us to the Uttermost - for He Always Lives to Intercede for us!In His ascension, Christ is the kingly and divine High Priest interceding for us; He has been constituted our High Priest according to the power of an indestructible life, and He is able to save us to the uttermost. Hallelujah for our Christ who today is our High Priest interceding for us!

This week in our morning revival time we are considering the topic of, Responding to Christ’s intercession in His heavenly ministry.

We need to be brought out of an earthly realm to the heavenly realm where we are seated with Him in His ascension, and where Christ is carrying out His heavenly ministry as our merciful and faithful and great High Priest.

He doesn’t only sympathize with us and cares for us – He also intercedes for us. Intercession is something quite particular – it is not merely prayer (which is general) but a particular kind of prayer, referring to the interfering and intervening toward God on other’s behalf for their benefit.

Intercession is not general prayer; it is a specific prayer to intervene and interfere before God on behalf of others for their benefit. If there is a problem or conflict between two parties, someone has to come as a mediator to intervene and interfere on behalf of one; this is what our heavenly High Priest is doing – He is there interceding.

Many times we may be more interested in how we can intercede, but we may not consider Christ’s intercession that much; we may want to know how we can intercede, but before we can know this, we need to know His intercession.

Without Christ’s intercession, there’s no intercession on our part. Our intercession is altogether a response, a result, to Christ’s intercession.

However, many consider that Christ’s intercession is something objective, something far away from us, something we don’t know anything about; His intercession is apparently far away in heaven, but actually it is very much connected to our intercession.

When the Lord was on earth, he prayed in Gethsemane, on the mountain, but now as the ascended Christ in the heavenlies, he is interceding for us.

However, what is He interceding for? Since He is God Himself who can say something and it comes into being, why does He need to intercede? Intercession is a great mysterious matter, and we need to prayerfully approach this before the Lord.

God needs our cooperation; He has a will, but He will not carry out His will until there is a man on earth who would respond and cooperate with Him. He can work it out but He would not until someone – a man on earth – would respond to Him.

Christ was Constituted our High Priest according to the Power of an Indestructible Life

Heb. 7:16 Who has been appointed not according to the law of a fleshy commandment but according to the power of an indestructible life.Christ is the kingly and divine High Priest in ascension interceding for us (Heb. 7:25-26). As the High Priest in the order of Aaron, He accomplished the sacrifice for sin once and for all; today in His heavenly ministry He is our kingly divine High Priest, and His work is not completed yet.

He is shepherding us, caring for us, and in particular He is doing the work of intercession. Christ today has a more excellent ministry in the heavens – the ministry of His kingly and divine priesthood with His heavenly intercession, and in His ministry He is saving us to the uttermost.

How can He save us to the uttermost? It is because Christ has been constituted the High Priest according to the powerful element of an indestructible life (Heb. 7:16).

Nothing can dissolve, put down, kill, or stop this life; it is an endless life. This is the uncreated, divine, eternal, resurrection life that has passed through the test of death and Hades (Acts 2:24; Rev. 1:18). By such a life Christ ministers today as our High Priest.

Praise the Lord for such a heavenly High Priest, with a priesthood based on the indestructible life of God!

His priesthood is not based merely on His sinlessness as a perfect sacrifice to solve our problem of sin; in His heavenly divine priesthood, He carries it out in the indestructible life of God. This priesthood is to subdue death, conquer death, and save people from death and all the by-products of death.

This heavenly and divine priesthood of Christ is to save us to the uttermost by the indestructible life of God, the divine life that is eternal, uncreated, and resurrected. Christ’s life, according to which He can minister to us and with which He saves us to the uttermost, passed through death and triumphed, coming out victoriously in resurrection!

Christ has been constituted our High Priest according to the power of an indestructible life (v. 16), which nothing can dissolve; this is an endless life, being the eternal, divine, uncreated life and the resurrection life that has passed through the test of death and of Hades (Acts 2:24; Rev. 1:18). 2017 spring ITERO, outline 6Hallelujah, we have a High Priest whose priesthood is constituted with this indestructible life of God, and this life will save us to the uttermost!

Right now He is in heavens as our kingly, divine, and great High Priest interceding for us and able to save us, and when we exercise our spirit, there’s a divine traffic on Christ as the heavenly ladder flowing into our being, for His priesthood is continually flowing from the throne of God into our spirit!

Whenever we exercise our spirit and remain in the mingled spirit, we are saved to the uttermost in the divine, eternal, uncreated, resurrection life of Christ.

This One, Christ, has no worldliness, sin, or death in Him; death has been swallowed up by His divine life, and death cannot prevent Him from continuing as the High Priest.

The human priests live and serve until a certain age, and then they die; but Christ is not prevented by death – He is a High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek constituted with the element of life to remove any death or any by-product of death.

Thank You Lord for being our divine High Priest according to the power of an indestructible life to save us to the uttermost! Hallelujah, nothing can dissolve, stop, or hinder the eternal, divine, uncreated, resurrection life according to which Christ has been constituted as our High Priest! Amen! Oh Lord, we just want to exercise our spirit so that we may enjoy Your priesthood which is continually flowing from the throne into our spirit. Save us much more in Your life, and remove any by-products of death from our being!

Christ is Able to Save us to the Uttermost, to the Fullest Extent and in Any Situation

Heb. 7:25-26 Hence also He is able to save to the uttermost those who come forward to God through Him, since He lives always to intercede for them. For such a High Priest was also fitting to us, holy, guileless, undefiled, separated from sinners and having become higher than the heavens.Because Christ lives forever without any change, He is able to save us to the uttermost in extent, time, and space (see Heb. 7:24-25).

He once was dead, but now He lives forever! Unlike the earthly priesthood of Aaron, who after some years there was a handing over to another priest because the human life was over, Christ’s priesthood is continuing forever!

He lives forever without any change, and He is able to save us to the uttermost in extent, time, and space. On the one hand we all were saved from God’s perdition and judgement, from sin, and from hell; on the other hand, we all need to be saved much more in His life from any death and its by-products.

Hallelujah, Christ as our High Priest can save us to the uttermost from death, vanity, corruption, groaning, decay, murmuring, reasoning, and all the things of the flesh, the old man, and the natural man!

Our High Priest, Christ, is constituted with the power of an indestructible life, and He is able to save us to the uttermost, for He always lives to intercede!

We may think we are an impossible case, we may have a besetting sin, we may have some weaknesses that nothing can help us overcome, but Christ is able to save us to the uttermost!

To be saved to the uttermost means to be saved completely, entirely, perfectly, to the end, and for eternity. Christ as our High Priest is able to save us to the fullest extent, that is, in every kind of situation and condition.

He can save us to perfection; we are far from perfection, for what we say is not perfect, our actions are not perfect, and we have many defects and imperfections.

We are still subject to a lot of infirmities and imperfections, but Christ with His indestructible life is able to save us to the uttermost, to perfection, to completion, to the fullest! Hallelujah!

Christ as our High Priest is able to save to the fullest extent, that is, to save in every kind of situation and condition. He is able to save to the uttermost those who come forward to God through Him, since He lives always to intercede for us. Christ as our High Priest undertakes our case by interceding for us. He appears before God on our behalf and prays for us that we may be saved and brought fully into God’s eternal purpose. Witness Lee, The Conclusion of the New Testament, p. 3777We are not only saved from sin as in His earthly ministry, but we are saved from the by-products of death – we are saved to perfection!

His life was fully tested by everything and everyone; He was tested by His mother and brothers in the flesh, by all the sufferings of His human life, by all the temptations of the devil, and ultimately by death, the grave, Hades, and the power of darkness.

Christ’s life according to which and in which He saves to the uttermost is absolutely indestructible, fully tested by everything and everyone! And now whoever comes forward to God through Him is being saved to the uttermost by Christ in His heavenly ministry, for He always lives to intercede for us!

He undertakes our case by interceding for us; He appears before God on our behalf and prays for us that we may be fully saved and brought into God’s eternal purpose.

And He is doing this until we are like Him in every possible way, brought fully into His glory to express Him!

Lord Jesus, save us to the uttermost! We come forward to God through Christ so that we may be saved completely, entirely, perfectly, to the end, and for eternity! Hallelujah, Christ as our High Priest is able to save us to the fullest extent, that is, to save in every kind of situation and condition! We come forward to You, Lord, in our spirit, so that we may be saved to the uttermost from death and from any by-product of death. Thank You, Lord, for always living to intercede for us so that we may be saved to perfection!

Christ has not been constituted the High Priest according to the powerless letters of the law but according to the powerful element of an indestructible life (Heb. 7:16). Nothing can dissolve this life. It is an endless life, being the eternal, divine, uncreated, resurrection life that has passed through the test of death and Hades (Acts 2:24; Rev. 1:18). It is by such a life that Christ ministers today as our High Priest. Hence, He is able to save us to the uttermost (Heb. 7:25). Christ as our High Priest is the living Son of God Himself. As the powerful One, Christ is simultaneously both in heaven and in our spirit. Between these two ends, heaven and our spirit, there is the traffic on the heavenly ladder because His priesthood is continually flowing from the throne into our spirit. It does not flow with knowledge but with the power of an indestructible life. Witness Lee, The Conclusion of the New Testament, msg. 373
