We are so grateful that the Lord has shown us the high peak of the divine revelation, which is that God became man so that man may become God in life and nature but not in the Godhead to produce and build up the organic Body of Christ for the fulfillment of God’s economy to close this age and bring Christ back to set up His kingdom.
The high peak of the divine revelation is for the consummation of the New Jerusalem; together with the God-man living and the universal mutual shepherding, the high peak of the divine revelation is a factor of the new revival which will consummate this age and bring the Lord back.
As believers in Christ, we are born of God to be children of God (Rom. 8:16) and live as sons of God (Rom. 8:14); as we take Christ as our person and follow the leading of the Spirit, we are being saturated with Christ to become God in life and nature but not in the Godhead.
The Lord as the One who searches the heart and the inward parts knows how much of Christ is wrought into our being, but we all are in the process of having Christ saturating us and permeating us so that we may become, corporately, His expression and manifestation to consummate the New Jerusalem.
The Lord as the Bridegroom will marry a bride that matches Him in every possible way, one who is pure, chaste, prepared, mature, beautiful, full of love, one who is His counterpart.
Therefore, today we need to live our Christian life being governed by the high peak of the divine revelation, realizing that, no matter how many practical things we need to take care of in our family life and church life, God is working Himself into us intrinsically to become our organic constitution so that we may be built up together as His Body to express Him and represent Him.
Our Lord cannot and will not return until His bride has made herself ready; the preparation of the bride is the building up of the Body of Christ.
As this organic process takes place in our being, there’s an intrinsic change in us to make us the same as Christ in life and nature (but not in the Godhead) so that He may obtain a Body built up in this age, which will be the bride prepared in the next age, and the New Jerusalem for eternity.
The Governing Vision in the Bible: God is Working Himself in His People to Produce the Body of Christ
The entire Bible has a governing vision, which is the Triune God working Himself into us, His chosen and redeemed people, in order to saturate our entire being with the Divine Trinity for the producing and building up of the church as the Body of Christ, consummating in the New Jerusalem (see Eph. 4:4-6; Rev. 21:2, 9-10).
We need to see this governing vision and pray for others to see it. Even more, we need to have the same attitude as David had when he received the word from Jehovah that it was his seed (which will be called, the Son of God) that will build the house of God: we need to pray God’s word back to Him.
Don’t think that the governing vision in the Bible is too high for you: pray it back to the Lord, and ask Him to bring you in this reality! We shouldn’t merely passively agree with the word of God and with the ministry – we should pray these things back to the Lord so that He would make them real to us and bring us into this reality.
We need to open to the Lord and tell Him,
Lord, renew us, sanctify us, transform us, and grow in us! Saturate us with Yourself, Christify us, and permeate us. Lord, do whatever You need to do in us so that we may mature in life long before we finish our course. Make us Your overcomers. Lord, by Yourself as the sevenfold intensified Spirit, make us Your overcomers!
The Lord is waiting for these prayers. We need to go beyond passive acceptance and agreement and offer the Lord an active response. The Triune God desires to work Himself into His chosen and redeemed people to saturate their entire being with the Divine Trinity for the Body of Christ to consummate the New Jerusalem.
The Triune God wants to work Himself into us, so we need to cooperate with His operation by praying and opening to Him. It matters to the Lord when we pray His word back to Him – He sees that we are corresponding to His speaking. We need to tell the Lord,
Lord, work Yourself into us more today. Grant us such a governing vision in our daily live so that we may be constantly open to Your divine dispensing. Amen, Lord, saturate our entire being with the Divine Trinity for the producing and building up of the church as the Body of Christ! It is Your desire to consummate the New Jerusalem by the building up of the church as the Body of Christ today – do it in us, with us, and among us today!
The High Peak of the Divine Revelation: God became Man to make Man God to Build up the Body, Close this Age, and Consummate the New Jerusalem
We need to realize that Satan hates the high peak of the divine revelation concerning the ultimate goal of God’s economy. He hates this one main point—that God became a man so that man may become God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead to produce the organic Body of Christ for the fulfillment of God’s economy to close this age and to bring Christ back to set up His kingdom. This is why we need prayer for fighting the spiritual warfare for the release of these messages. Today where is the Body of Christ on this earth? Today who understands and ministers and practices the Body of Christ? This is altogether something new. God purposely in His incarnation became a man that man may become God in life and nature but not in the Godhead for the producing of the organic Body of Christ to fulfill God’s economy to close this age and to bring Christ back with His kingdom. (Crystallization-study of the Epistle to the Romans, p. 159, by Witness Lee)
The Bible tells us that God chose us in Christ for us to be holy (Eph. 1:4); only God is holy – His nature is holy, and so for us to be made holy is for us to be made the same as He is in His nature.
How can we, sinners and serpentine in nature, can be made holy as God is holy? It is only by God dispensing His holy nature into our being through regeneration, renewing, transformation, and glorification, to make us holy – even as holy as He is, the holy city, New Jerusalem.
God predestinated us unto sonship (Eph. 1:5) – He predestinated us to be His sons, those sharing His life and nature, so that by His dispensing in His economy we would be made the same as Christ, His firstborn Son.
All believers in Christ are God-men – Christ, the unique God-man, is in us, and He makes us all His reproduction, His duplication, to be the millions of God-men.
As those who are God-men (men with the divine life within, bearing God’s image and expressing God), we need to continually reject our natural life and live by the divine life within us; we need to live being led by the Spirit to be sons of God (Rom. 8:14).
God redeemed and regenerated us for the purpose of making us God in life and nature so that He may have a consummation of His economy in the Body of Christ as the enlargement of Christ, consummating in the New Jerusalem as God’s full expression and enlargement for eternity.
We are born of God to be His children – who are born not of the flesh or the will of men but of God (John 1:12-14), and we are being made the same as He is, so that when we see Him, we would fully match Him (1 John 3:1-2).
God’s economy is His intention to dispense Himself in His Divine Trinity into us, His chosen and redeemed people, to be our life and nature so that we may be the same as He is for His corporate expression (see 1 Tim. 1:4; Eph. 1:3-23); this is the high peak of the divine revelation in the Bible.
How can we express God for eternity if we are not made the same as He is? If we are strong in our self, we will express a strong self, but if we have been reconstituted with Christ, there will be an increasing expression of Christ.
In His economy God became a man to make man God in life and nature and expression so that we may have a God-man living and become the Body of Christ. This is why God has redeemed us, so that He can have the Body of Christ, which consummates in the New Jerusalem as God’s enlargement and expression of eternity (Eph. 1:7; 4:16; Rev. 21:2).
If we neglect the high peak truth in the Bible that it is only by God becoming man to make man God that the Body of Christ can be produced and built up, with us there will be no Body of Christ; we may still be a local church, but the testimony of the Lord is not with us.
It is amazing, inspiring, and vitalizing to realize that, just as men beget men, sheep beget sheep, cats beget cats, so God begets God-men, men mingled with God who live by the divine life to express God and become His organic Body on earth.
This is God’s purpose from the day He created man, and we do well to actively respond to Him and say,
God, thank You for begetting us to be sons of God, God-men, brothers of Christ as the first God-man. Amen, Lord, keep us under Your divine dispensing so that we may be fully saturated and permeated with You and become Your Body, Your corporate expression on earth. It is Your desire to gain the Body of Christ, therefore make us the same as Your are in life, nature, expression, and function, so that we may become Your corporate expression, Your organic Body, consummating in the New Jerusalem!

- Hymns on this topic:
# Glorious vision, I have seen it: My life is meant for God’s economy! / Earthly bondage, I have left it: My heart outpours for the Lord’s recovery! / Divine Trinity, Divine dispensing: Christ to be life as Spirit real is He; / Churches of God, Body of Christ, New Jerusalem—how I long to see. (Song on seeing the vision)
# No longer I alone that live, / But God together lives with me. / Built with the saints in the Triune God, / His universal house we’ll be, / And His organic Body we / For His expression corp’rately. / And His organic Body we / For His expression corp’rately. (Song on God’s economy)
# God’s economy is His plan to dispense Himself / Into His chosen, predestinated, and redeemed people / As their life (as their life), their life supply, (their life supply) / And their everything / To produce (to produce), constitute (constitute), / And build up the organic Body of Christ, / Which consummates the New Jerusalem. (Song on the economy of God)
God’s economy is to make all the redeemed ones, all the believers in Christ, God-men….Christ, the unique God-man, is the model, the prototype, used by God to have a “mass production” of millions of God-men. Regeneration brings God into us, making us God-men. As God-men we should have a God-man’s living, continually rejecting our natural man and living by the very God who is life in us. As God-men we should deny our natural life and apply the divine life in our daily life.
God redeemed man for the purpose of making the redeemed man God in life and in nature so that God can have a consummation of His economy in the Body of Christ as the enlargement of Christ. This Body of Christ will consummate in the New Jerusalem as God’s full expression and enlargement for eternity. (Life-study of 1 & 2 Kings, pp. 136, 122, by W. Lee)

Hi Kyle, your comment is very much appreciated. You’re absolutely right, this term “God-man” is not in the Bible, and to use this term out of it’s specific context and with the necessary reverance is heresy and even blasphemy.
However, just as the term “the Triune God” or “the Divine Trinity” is not in the Bible but is implied, based on the modern language and the development in the human linguistics, I think it is permissible to use the term God-man as defined by the verses in this article. The principle of a God-man is there: Christ is not just God nor just man – He is both God and man. And when we are born of God (which John emphatically says in John 1:12-13), we can’t be anything else but what He is…and when we will see Him, we will be just like Him – 1 John 3:2.
If you have children, they inherit your nature, disposition, characteristics, and even outward image and habits; whether they are good or bad, they are your children and they will express you. Whether we are “good Christians” or not so good Christians, we have God’s nature (of which we partake by eating His word and living according to the divine nature), and we will express Him in full. Read the next articles – the New Jerusalem, the holy city, has the glory of God – and yet this city is both human (God’s people are there, the foundations are the apostles, the precious stones and jasper wall are the believers, etc) and divine (God in Christ shines, and the redeemed humanity expresses + amplifies + diffuses His glory).
This is all beyond our power to understand or grasp, but this is what the Bible says, and we believe it, pray for it to happen, and remain open to be adjusted and corrected, if we may go too far. So, in whatever the Lord has led us and shined on us, let us walk in love!
Brother, I understand your concern, and I fully agree that there are many that go too far and are very shallow when it comes to this matter of deification. And I also understand that there are some expressions or practices in the Lord’s recovery that are not very well received or understood by others.
Therefore, brother, in whatever the Lord has led us to believe the same thing, let us walk in peace.
The matter of deification – whether we see it or not, whether we understand it or not, is NOT a matter of the Christian faith. It is not my intention to over-emphasize it, even though I wholeheartedly and reverently believe it.
May the Lord continue to open our understanding, enlighten our mind, and help us exercise our spirit to spiritually understand the things of God, and may we do all things for the building up of the Body of Christ!
