Before attending NACT 2023 the students who went to the semi-annual training received a bridging word from Brother Minoru during the study time.
In this message, he elaborated on the story of Mary Magdalene and how she was a crazy lover of Christ. She was one who loved the Lord so much that it caused him to appear to her before returning to the Father after His resurrection. So to have Christ appear to us continually we must learn to love Him as Mary did.
On arriving at NACT we were told that Love Prevails. To prevail means to overcome something. This shows us that there is an opposing force to this love…however, Love Prevails, meaning God prevails because God is Love, his entire being and essence is love and he wants to share this love with us.
For we are the objects of God’s love and what I really appreciated about this is that after man fell God didn’t just disregard us and start again from scratch, and many times before I often wondered why…but the truth is he loved us in eternity past so instead of starting again, He became a man to court us and regain our first love for Him so that we can be His bride.
A point that really touched me was that “The direction of our Love determines our whole Life”. This really hit home for me because I am a lover of many things in this world and that is because I was created with the captivity for love and affection and it’s hard for man not to Love something.
However as the messages continued I realised that the things that I love will never fulfil me because they don’t love me back, but God does.
He has a forever Love for me all I have to do is just Love him back so I can become like Him, in likeness and nature but not in the Godhead. Once I have his Divine love within me only then can I have a love for everyone.
Our human love is so fickle and always changing but God’s love is eternal and never changes. For us to be able to build the church we must be filled with His divine love so that we can love all men, from the students in our schools and the bosses in our workplaces.
God loves them all and wants them all to experience Him as love, however, this is only achieved through our humanity and our expressing of God’s Love in our daily living.
This means that we have to be those experiencing this Love on a daily, hourly, minute basis so that we express all that we enjoy.
So my prayer is,
God you are Love. My love doesn’t have the capacity to Love all men, so Lord each day cause me to come to you for you to be this agape Love in me so that I may have a genuine Love for all men.
My favourite hymns from the conference were, ‘We Love the Brothers’, ‘Forever Love’ and ‘Christ is the Tree of Life’.
My favourite Verse was; Ephesians 4:15 (RCV) “But holding to truth in love, we may grow up into Him in all things, who is the Head, Christ.”
