The Lord wants to gain some like Samuel today, those who are fully one with God to be the acting God on earth to represent God, those who have a clear view of God’s economy and have the desire of God’s heart infused into them to become the desire of their heart. Amen!
Though nothing around him was for God and no one was seeking God with all their heart, Samuel had the speaking of God and the revelation of God.
The house of Aaron was waning and full of degradation, and Eli himself did not listen to God’s warnings.
In spite of all these, Samuel was a Nazarite, a voluntarily consecrated one, one who was perfected and equipped by God to turn the age from the age of the judges to the age of the kingdom.
We need to be such ones today; we need to realize that God needs some who voluntarily offer themselves to God for His purpose.
He opened a side door, a supplemental way for those who see His need to give themselves to Him.
Today in the church the priesthood is nowhere to be seen, the prophets are not functioning, and no one reigns with Christ as king over every negative thing to bring in the kingdom of God.
In a sense God today is poor; yes, He is rich and He owns everything and everyone, but He is poor in people who cooperate with Him and are one with Him for His purpose and His heart’s desire.
Just as in the days of Samuel, the Lord is looking for some who cooperate with Him for what He wants to do.
He wants to change this age, and He will not do it on His own; He is waiting for a group of people, a company of Nazarites, who would cooperate with Him to end this age and bring in the age of the kingdom.
As believers in Christ, we need to not only spend time with the Lord and enjoy Him but also allow Him to infuse His heart into our heart so that our heart would become a duplication of His heart.
He wants to do something today, and we can be joined to Him in His desire. He wants to end this age and bring in the age of the kingdom, but He is looking for the Nazarites who give themselves to Him for His purpose.
If we are parents, we should offer ourselves to the Lord for what He wants to do and we should also consecrate our children and future generations to Him.
It is a great thing for us to be those whom God would use at least once for the changing of the age.
It is a great matter for us to be a stepping stone for God in His move on earth!
Seeing the Pattern of Samuel as a Nazarite, a Priest, and a Prophet to be the Acting God on earth
Samuel was a Nazarite from birth, both by the choice of his mother Hannah and by his choice later; he was consecrated to God for His purpose, and he was perfected and equipped under Eli to be a priest.
He was not a direct descendant of Aaron but took the side door, the supplemental way offered by God, to serve God and minister to Him.
Though the priesthood around him was waning and was degraded, Samuel learned the lessons and heeded the warnings given by God through those around him, and he was perfected and equipped to be the acting God on earth.
By the time that Saul was raised up to be the king in Israel (see 1 Sam. 9:3-10:27), Samuel had reached the highest position. He was the representative of God on earth and, as such a one, he was the acting God on earth.
He functioned as a Nazarite, a priest, a prophet, and a judge.
Through him, God had a way to speak, for God revealed Himself through His word to Samuel, and Samuel spoke God’s word to His people.
In all that he did and was, Samuel was one with God; he had no desire of his own, and neither did he have any interest that was different from God’s interest.
He was a Nazarite, staying away from any kind of death, keeping himself from worldly pleasure, and separating himself unto God to take God as his head and authority.
Samuel functioned as a priest and a prophet, for he contacted God and received God’s word, he spoke the word of God and brought God to man and man to God.
As such a one, Samuel was the acting God on earth; when others wanted to know God’s word and hear His judgment, they came to Samuel.
He is a pattern to us all, for what God wants to gain is someone who would represent Him on earth, a person who is according to His heart to represent the very God in heaven to rule over His people on earth.
Samuel ministered as a Nazarite, one who is consecrated to God absolutely for the fulfilment of God’s economy in that age; he volunteered to God to be one with God and useful to Him in His hand (1 Sam. 1:11, 28).
It was Hannah, his mother, that initiated the Nazarite vow, but it was Samuel who completed it; he lived, served, and ministered as a Nazarite.
Samuel ministered as a priest not by birth but by God raising him in a particular way; he was a priest according to God to act on behalf of God.
Because Samuel was such a one, God could use him to appoint and establish kings for the divine government on earth.
Samuel knew God’s heart and was one with God; he also saw the devastation the enemy did to God’s purpose on earth, and he joined himself to God for what He wanted to do on earth.
As a priest of God, Samuel anointed Saul and then later David to be king over Israel (1 Sam. 10:1; 16:1, 13), for God ordained that he should go before His anointed continually (2:35) to supervise the king, observing what the king was doing.
This indicates that Samuel, who was the acting God on earth at that time, was greater than the king; he was qualified to be such one because God had been perfecting him for many years for His economy. Hallelujah!
Samuel also served as a prophet by speaking the word of God and speaking for God.
He first prophesied in 1 Sam. 3:1-18 when God told him something concerning Eli and his house and the waning priesthood.
Though Eli heard such a word more than once, he didn’t repent or turn; therefore, God had no way in him.
However, God had a way with and through Samuel, who turned the age from the age of the judges and the waning priesthood to the age of the king with the kingdom.
Lord Jesus, we love You and we love Your church. We give ourselves to You for the desire of Your heart on earth today. We are not here for ourselves, Lord; we are not here for our interest or our benefit but for Your interest and for what You want to gain today. Make us those who are men after the heart of God, men who know God’s heart and who do what is in God’s heart. Speak to us, Lord, and grant us to have an ear to hear what the Spirit speaks to the churches. We want to heed Your word, learn the lessons You want us to learn, heed the warnings You are conveying to us, and be those who have Your continual speaking today! Amen, Lord, make us those who cooperate with You to turn the age!
Being the Nazarites of Today who are Fully for God’s Economy to be the Acting God on Earth by Speaking for God and Ministering to Him
Samuel is a pattern to us all in the way he lived and ministered.
We need to be Nazarites of today, those who are fully for God’s economy to be the acting God on earth by speaking for God and ministering to Him.
May the Lord have mercy on us and grant us a clear view of God’s economy; may we see a vision of what is in God’s heart, and may we be infused with what He is doing today.
When we see God’s economy, we realize what the enemy has been doing to devastate God’s economy on earth.
Seeing God’s economy causes us to have insight concerning God’s economy and concerning the environmental situation.
Amen, may we be those who open to the Lord so that, no matter what we go through and what our situation is, He would equip us and perfect us for His economy.
He has opened a side door, a supplemental way for us to enter in and cooperate with Him in His economy: we can give ourselves to Him to be the Nazarites of today.
When we see God’s economy, we will realize that the real blessing is not the outward prosperity, health, or wealth, but the economy of God being carried out.
When we are part of the carrying out of God’s economy by cooperating with Him, we are the acting God on earth, and this is a real blessing.
Our welfare, our well-being, is altogether linked to the carrying out of God’s economy.
If only once in our lifetime the Lord has a way to carry out His economy through us, if we are the Nazarites of today to be the acting God on earth even only one time, we are blessed, and our life is full of meaning.
May we not seek our well-being apart from God’s economy.
May we not expect to have prosperity for ourselves; rather, may we expect that through us the Lord will do as much as possible to accomplish His economy.
When this happens, when we are part of what the Lord is doing on earth, we are blessed.
When we live a life for God’s economy by being governed by the vision of God’s economy, He has a way to speak through us, and He has a free way to move on the earth.
Thank the Lord that, by His mercy, we are under His continual speaking in His recovery today.
The Lord’s word among us today is not rare; rather, He speaks to us, He releases what is in His heart, and He abundantly pours out His speaking and revelation.
If we only deal with our heart and are pure in heart, and if we only exercise our spirit to hear what the Spirit is speaking to the churches, He will have a way to make us the Nazarites of today, the corporate acting God on earth, for Him to carry out what is in His heart.
Without the Lord’s speaking, the universe is empty; without His speaking to us and in us today, our life is empty and meaningless.
What mercy and grace for us to be under the Lord’s continual speaking so that we may be infused with Him, be equipped and perfected to be men according to His heart, and be the acting God on earth for Him to do what He wants to do!
When He gains such a group of people who cooperate with Him in full, He has a way to do what He desires, for His desire has become their desire, and they no longer hinder Him from what He wants to do but rather, give Him the cooperation He needs to end this age and bring in the age of the kingdom.
May we be such ones today.
May we not rebel against God’s word but rather, may we remain under His speaking, receive the warnings, learn the lessons, and be willing to be perfected and equipped to be part of the corporate acting God on earth for Him to do what is in His heart in this age.
Lord Jesus, grant us to have a clear view of God’s economy and realize what the enemy has been doing to devastate God’s economy on earth. We join ourselves to You, dear Lord, to be one with You for Your move on earth today. We offer ourselves willingly to You today. Our desire is that Your economy would be carried out on earth. We have no other seeking apart from Your economy being carried out. Amen, Lord, grant us to be part of what You are doing today. Have a way to do as much as possible through us and in us to accomplish Your economy. Amen, Lord, gain a corporate acting God on earth who would cooperate with You for the carrying out of Your economy and the ending of this age to bring in the age of the kingdom!

- Hymns on this topic:
– If I keep this royal calling / Under Thine authority, / Priestly duty thus fulfilling, / Then the church will builded be. / Now the church is but the priesthood; / Thus the priesthood formed we need; / When the priests are knit together, / Then the church is built indeed. (Hymns #848)
– Grant us grace, O Lord, that we / Treasure dear the priestly call; / In the spirit serve and pray, / That Thy church be built withal. (Hymns #849)
– I will choose to be a living overcomer,
Be a person not ashamed to be a Jesus lover, / One who eats the tree of life, / And drinks the living water. / I will give myself to be an overcomer, / To see a heav’nly vision, / Keep my flaming spirit burning! / I give myself to You, to turn this age. (Song on, Choose to Be an Overcomer)
