See the Five Great Mysteries in the Bible and how we’re Part of the Great Mystery

Making known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Himself. Eph. 1:9

In Colossians 2:2 we see the mystery of God, Christ – Christ is the mystery of God, manifesting God; there are five great mysteries in the Bible, which are revealed to us in spirit, and we have part in these five mysteries, for we ourselves are part of the great mystery in the universe.

Wow, Amen, Lord, may we be in spirit to see a revelation of Your mysteries! May we live in our spirit today so that we may be the mystery of the church, expressing Christ! Praise the Lord!

This week in our morning revival, we come to, The Mystery of God – Christ, as seen in the books of Colossians and Ephesians.

As we prayerfully consider this topic, what we want to do is experience, enjoy, and express Christ. Our experience of Christ, our enjoyment of Christ, and our expression of Christ all depend on our knowledge of Christ.

We need to know Christ in a richer way; as we know Him in His word by the unveiling of the Father through the Spirit, the open is way for us to experience, enjoy, and express Him.

We might know the Lord Jesus as our Saviour and our Lord, and that is wonderful, but there’s a certain amount of experience in this.

We need to go further to know more of Christ. We need to see more of Christ. We need to both grow in life and be brought to the full knowledge of Christ, even to see the mystery of God, Christ.

For example, we may have a box containing a diamond; if we give this box to a child, he will appreciate the box, and the diamond may not be that important.

Because the child doesn’t know the value of the diamond, he would rather play with the box. But there’s a diamond there!

In the Bible, as a box, there is a mystery – Christ as the mystery of God.

This mystery is the diamond in the Bible; it is hidden, it is valuable, and it is most precious; however, many Christians today like to play with the packaging, the many other things in the Bible, for they do not see the value and supreme preciousness of Christ.

We need to come to the Lord and ask Him to unveil us to see the mystery of God, Christ. Who is Christ? What is Christ? Do we see who He is, what He is, what He has done, and what He is to us?

Our Christian life should be about knowing Christ, experiencing Christ, enjoying Christ, and expressing Christ.

He is the centre of our life, we focus only on Him, and everything we do is somehow related to Him. We want to know Him, enjoy Him, experience Him, and express Him day by day.

The Principle of a Mystery in the Bible: the Things that are Hidden in God’s Heart

And to enlighten all that they may see what the economy of the mystery is, which throughout the ages has been hidden in God, who created all things. Eph. 3:9

In the world today, a mystery is something that is difficult or impossible to understand or explain. It is an event, phenomenon, or person that is unexplained, secret, or unknown, arousing curiosity and much speculation.

We are drawn to mysterious things and we want to know more about something mysterious.

In the Bible, however, a mystery refers not only to things that are hidden and unknown but also to things that are hidden in God’s heart (Mark 4:11; Rom. 16:25-26; Col. 1:26-27; 2:2; 4:3; Eph. 1:9; 3:3-4, 9; 5:32; 6:19).

The Bible is a mysterious book, and in this book we see the revelation of God’s heart. However, there are many things in the Bible that are a mystery; they are mysterious not only because they are hidden and unknown but also because they are hidden in God’s heart.

What we want to know is God’s heart, and we want to have the revelation of what is hidden in His heart.

In Romans 16:25-26, Paul speaks concerning the gospel, the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which has been kept in silence in the times of the ages, but now has been manifested! Amen!

Through the prophetic writings, according to the command of the eternal God, this mystery has been made known to all the Gentiles for the obedience of faith.

Something is hidden in God’s heart; it was kept in silence in the times of the ages, but now it has been revealed to us.

This mystery, which has been hidden from the ages and from generations, has now been manifested to the saints, the believers in Christ, to whom God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Col. 1:26-27). Wow!

God doesn’t want the things which are in His heart to remain hidden; He wants to reveal the mystery to the saints in spirit.

Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel, that is, the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which has been kept in silence in the times of the ages But has now been manifested, and through the prophetic writings, according to the command of the eternal God, has been made known to all the Gentiles for the obedience of faith. Rom. 16:25-26From the time of creation, when God created all things, He didn’t tell the angels what He was doing. They didn’t know.

The angels were there, and as we see in the writings of Peter, they looked to see, to understand, what God was doing when He was creating all things in the universe and especially man.

Even in the Old Testament, the patriarchs, the prophets, and many loving seekers of God wanted to know what was in God’s heart, but they did not see it.

God had something hidden in His heart; He was doing many things outwardly and also many things in secret to help and care for His people, but He still had something hidden in His heart.

The prophets longed to see what was in God’s heart, and they saw a glimpse of the preciousness of Christ; however, it was only in the New Testament that God revealed the mystery to us, His saints.

The apostle Paul said that God made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Himself (Eph. 1:9).

This mystery is made known to us by revelation (3:3). We all need to be enlightened and see what the economy of the mystery is, which has been hidden in God throughout the ages (3:9).

May we be those who not only read the Bible to get more knowledge of God and of His plan but even more, exercise our spirit and be open to the Lord so that we may see a vision of the mystery hidden deep in God.

May we be in spirit and contact the Lord by the exercise of our spirit so that we may see what is hidden in God’s heart. We may even tell Him,

Lord Jesus, we exercise our spirit and we turn our heart to You today. Unveil us to see what is hidden in Your heart. Grant us to know the mystery of the kingdom of God. May we see the revelation of the mystery which has been kept in silence in the times of the ages! Hallelujah, this mystery has now been manifested and has been made known to us for the obedience of faith! Amen, Lord, may we see in spirit the mystery which has been hidden from the ages and from generations, Christ in us, the hope of glory! Wow, God willed to make known to us what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in us, the hope of glory! Praise the Lord! Keep us in our spirit today, dear Lord, to be under the heavenly televising of the mysteries of God so that we may understand these mysteries, live in these mysteries, and become the mystery of God, the corporate expression of Christ on the earth today! Hallelujah, we are part of the great mystery, Christ and the church!

See the Five Great Mysteries in the Bible and be Part of the Great Mystery, Christ and the Church

This mystery is great, but I speak with regard to Christ and the church. Eph. 5:32

If we carefully and prayerfully read the Bible, we will realise that there are five great mysteries revealed in it.

There are five great matters hidden in the heart of God which can be revealed to us in spirit as we pray-read the Word of God.

The first mystery is the most obvious one to our eyes, the universe. The mystery of the universe is great. What is the mystery of the universe? What is the meaning and purpose of the universe?

According to the Bible, the mystery of the universe is God, who is the meaning and purpose of the universe (Gen. 1:1; Rev. 4:11; Eph. 3:9).

God is worthy to receive the glory and the honour and the power, for He has created all things, and because of His will they were, they exist, and they were created.

The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. Thus declares Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens and lays the foundations of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him. Zech. 12:1God created something out of nothing because of His heart’s desire.

All of God’s creation exists because of God’s will and purpose; we need to be enlightened to see the economy of the mystery hidden in God. He created all things, but He hid Himself in the universe.

The mystery of the universe is God Himself; God is the meaning and purpose of the universe. Without God, the universe has no sense or meaning.

The second mystery is the mystery of man, which is also God (Gen. 1:26; Zech. 12:1; 1 Cor. 2:11). What is the meaning of the human life? What is the mystery of the human life?

Man is a mystery; we are awesomely and wonderfully made, for we have not just the body outwardly but also a soul within the body, and even more, we have a spirit that seeks for God and for the meaning of the human life.

The mystery of man is God; the meaning of the human existence is nothing else but God. When we touch God, know God, and are filled with God, we are filled with meaning and purpose.

God is the answer. God created the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and formed the spirit of man within him.

In God’s eyes, man is as important and valuable as the heavens and the earth. We are all very important and valuable in God’s eyes.

However, we are a mystery, and the mystery of man is God. The third mystery is the mystery of God, which is Christ (Col. 2:2).

We need to have our hearts comforted, being knit together in love and unto all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, unto the full knowledge of the mystery of God, Christ.

Who is God? Where can we see God? How can we touch God or speak to God? God is too mysterious.

However, He is revealed in Christ, for Christ came to make Him known. Christ came to express God, define God, explain God, and make God real to us.

The fourth mystery in the Bible is the mystery of Christ, which is the church (Eph. 3:4; Col. 4:3). Christ is a mystery, and the mystery of Christ is the church.

For us to see Christ lived out and expressed, we need to come to the church. To know God, we must come to Christ. To know Christ, we must come to the church.

May we come to the Lord in spirit, with the exercise of our spirit, for us to see the mystery of Christ, the church.

That their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love and unto all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, unto the full knowledge of the mystery of God, Christ. Col. 2:2The fifth mystery revealed in the Bible is the mystery of the church, which is the organism of Christ, the Body of Christ as the enlargement of Christ (Eph. 1:22-23; 4:4, 16; 5:30, 32).

When we come into the church life, we love it here, for we see Christ expressed through and living in the saints.

But there’s a mystery in the church; the mystery of the church is the Body of Christ. The reality of the church, the mystery of the church, is the Body of Christ as the organism of the Triune God.

These are the five great mysteries in the Bible, which are universal facts; the Bible is the explanation of these mysteries.

First, we have the mystery of the universe; second, the mystery of man; third, the mystery of God; fourth, the mystery of Christ, and fifth, the mystery of the church.

What is the story of the universe? What is the story of man? What is the story of God? What is the story of Christ? What is the story of the church? All these are the five great mysteries in the Bible.

Today we as believers in Christ need to see these five mysteries in the Bible and realise that we are part of the great mystery, Christ and the church.

Today, we are not only the church but even more, we’re the house of God, the Body of Christ, the golden lampstand, the bride of Christ, and the New Jerusalem.

As the Lord is moving all over the earth and doing many things on the earth, He is gaining His ultimate mystery – the New Jerusalem, the ultimate expression and manifestation of God.

When He gains the New Jerusalem, He will achieve His ultimate goal in the universe.

Lord Jesus, unveil us to see the five great mysteries in the Bible. We exercise our spirit to see that the mystery of the universe is God, who is the meaning and purpose of the universe! Amen, Lord, may we see that the mystery of man is also God, for God is the meaning of our human life. Praise the Lord, God created the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and formed the spirit of man within him! Amen, Lord, we turn to our spirit to see the mystery of God, Christ! Hallelujah, God is expressed, realised, and made real to us in Christ! Amen, Lord, may we see that the mystery of Christ is the church! Unveil us to see what the economy of the mystery is, the desire hidden deep in God! Oh Lord, may we see that the mystery of the church is the organism of Christ, the Body of Christ as the enlargement of Christ! May we live in our spirit today so that we may be the mystery of Christ in reality, the corporate expression of Christ!

My intention is to speak about the five great mysteries…The heavens and the earth are the first great mystery, which is also according to the sequence of the Bible. The first two items listed in the record of God’s creation are first the heavens and second the earth. How mysterious are the heavens and the earth! The universe is too mysterious; its vastness is a mystery. The second [great mystery in the Bible] is man. Zechariah 12:1 says, “Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens and lays the foundations of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him.”…Man is as great as the heavens and the earth, because this verse, after referring to the heavens and the earth, immediately mentions man…Every one of us is important; we are all very great persons. Man’s greatness is not like the greatness of the universe that lies in its vastness. Man is great in that there is a mystery in him, a mystery which is of three layers. The first layer is the mystery of the body, man’s outward part; the second layer is the mystery of the soul, man’s inward part; and the third layer is the mystery of the spirit, man’s innermost part.

Dear brother, there are five great mysteries in the Bible: the mystery of the universe is God, the mystery of man is also God, the mystery of God is Christ, the mystery of Christ is the church, and the mystery of the church is the Body of Christ.

We have a share in all these mysteries. We simply need to exercise our spirit and be enlightened by the Lord to see these mysteries and be part of these mysteries.

Wow, for eternity we will be the ultimate expression of God, the New Jerusalem, the mystery of God unveiled for all to see!

Praise the Lord! Oh Lord, unveil us to see the mysteries in Your word. May we exercise our spirit today to know You as the mystery, even to become part of the ultimate mystery in the universe!

Aaameeen!

Wow, Man is great in that there is a mystery in him, a mystery which is of three layers, man’s body, his first layer, his outer part, is a mystery.

Man’s soul, the second layer, man’s inward part is a mystery, and the third layer, man’s innermost part, is the mystery of the spirit!

Lord, may we know our spirit and exercise our spirit to experience, enjoy and express You as the mystery of God!

Amen, Lord Jesus, infuse us more with You today.

There are five great mysteries revealed to us in the bible: the universe, man, God, Christ and the Church.

The Church is the ultimate mystery as the organism of Christ, house of God, golden lamp stand, bride and New Jerusalem.

Ultimately, we will become the expression of God who is moving throughout the whole Earth.

What a great mystery, achieve Your goal in us today, Lord Jesus. Amen Lord Jesus

How blessed we are that God has made His mysteries known to us today.

This is one of the reasons why Jesus said that we who are in the kingdom of heaven are greater than John the Baptist.

The great Old Testament saints did not see the seven mysteries that are unveiled to we New Testament believers.

May we steadfastly pray that God would open to us a door to speak the great mysteries.

Christ, who dwells in our spirit to be our life and person, is our hope of glory. When He comes, we will be glorified in Him. This indicates that the indwelling Christ will saturate our entire being that our physical body may be transfigured and conformed to the body of His glory (Phil. 3:21). Col. 1:27 footnote 3 on, Christ.

In this book a number of important phrases point to our experience of Christ: Christ in you (v. 27), full-grown in Christ (v. 28), walk in Him (Col. 2:6), according to Christ (Col. 2:8), made alive together with Him (Col. 2:13), died with Christ (Col. 2:20), holding the Head (Col. 2:19), out from whom (2:19), and grows with the growth of God (2:19). These expressions give us a complete picture of the proper experience of Christ. Col. 1:27 footnote 4 on, Christ in you.
