It is always a fight to have a quality time with the Lord. Lately in the mornings, I spend some time praying and reading the Bible, but, because the rest of the house is sleeping when I get up, I have to do it quietly.
I usually take 10 to 15 minutes and pray through a section of verses. The number of verses I cover varies a lot, sometimes one verse is enough, but usually I read a few verses, maybe even a page in my Bible.
Often a phrase or a clause will stand out, and when it does I chew those words, repeating them, musing upon them, singing them (quietly) and speaking them back to the Lord.
After showering and waking up (I am really not awake until after I shower), I read some of the ministry. Life Studies are the best, and I typically average around 8 pages, but it also varies a lot.
My goal in reading is to have some speaking from the Lord and some washing of the water in the Word. This reconstitutes me and changes my thinking and attitude. Then I drive to work and while driving I don’t have to be quiet so I sometimes call loudly or sing, and cry out to the Lord.
I have found that, whenever my schedule changes, inevitably the first thing that is sacrificed is my morning time with the Lord. Then I dry up and eventually have to stop, reconsider, and change my schedule to fit the Lord back in.
For example, moving, changing my job, and having a kid have all caused me to lose my morning time. My schedule and routine changed and I couldn’t contact the Lord like I used to, so I had to struggle and fight to get that time back.
I can’t go back to the old way, but I had to find a new way that fits with my current situation. There is no right or wrong way to have a morning revival, as long as you get to the Lord! Just do whatever it takes to have a sweet, living touch with Christ Jesus in the morning.

Amen, we give the preeminence & consecrate to the Lord so that the Spirit mingled in our spirit is strong & satisfy. Oh Lord behold us infuse us. Amen & Amen.
