Coming to this Winter School of Truth in London, I knew I was going to be learning a lot. I didn’t really have a great grasp on what the two spirits were. I knew that I had MY spirit, the one place I can touch God. I also knew that there is the Triune God as THE SPIRIT.
Many Christians today don’t know that they have a spirit, but there are many verses in the Word that show us that indeed we DO have a spirit. The Bible tells us in John 3:6, “That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” There is a capitalized “Spirit” and a lower-case “spirit”.
Oh Lord Jesus! This touched me so much, knowing that some Christians will go their entire life not knowing they have a spirit, and that their human spirit can be mingled with the Spirit! People today search for ways to relieve their stress, they try to find “the key to happiness”. They will NEVER find it just searching in the world, but Praise the Lord! we have a spirit, and all we have to do to touch it is to call: “Oh Lord Jesus!”
Brother Tom gave a great example of how much of a struggle it is to turn to our spirit because of our mind. He took a large brother and likened him to our mind, and another small brother as our spirit, while brother Tom was us. The larger brother literally dwarfed the smaller brother, BUT, “Every time you touch your spirit, it becomes stronger“.
I enjoyed all my time at this Winter School of Truth with all the saints, but some of the most precious times were in the group time and in our room time before bed. It was so encouraging to see young people my age touching their spirit, praying, and shepherding one another. The brothers have shared about the need for Samuels in Europe, and what I saw that there were young men who will be beacons of light in their cities and schools, all over Europe!
