Daily Enjoy the Life-giving Spirit in the Word to Eat Christ as the Bread of Life

But He answered and said, It is written, "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out through the mouth of God." Matt. 4:4

The Lord Jesus came as the bread of life, and we can eat Him in His word; the means for us to receive the Lord as the bread of life is the word of life – we need to exercise our spirit to pray over God’s word and digest the word so that we may enjoy the life-giving Spirit and live because of the Christ we eat.

If we read chapter 6 from the Gospel of John carefully, we will have a deep impression of the Lord Jesus being not only our Lord and Savior but even more, our food – He is the bread of life.

In this chapter, we see that the Lord Jesus is the bread of life, the bread that came down out of heaven, the living bread, the true bread, and the bread of God.

He is God incarnated to be our food. And He is the bread of life for us to eat; He gives His flesh for us to eat and His blood for us to drink.

This doesn’t mean that we need to physically eat something of the Lord’s flesh and blood but that, in spirit, we need to believe into the Lord and receive what He has done for us on the cross.

We believe in His redemptive work on the cross, and He comes into us as the bread of life.

The fact that He gives His body and blood for our food and drink shows that the Lord had to go through death and resurrection.

Through death He accomplished redemption, and in His resurrection, He became a life-giving Spirit to dispense all that He is into our being for our life and life-supply.

Now Christ is not only the crucified One but even more, He is the resurrected Christ, the Christ who is the life-giving Spirit.

The flesh profits nothing; the word that He speaks to us are spirit and are life. Amen!

We don’t need to eat the Lord’s physical flesh or drink His physical blood; we need to eat His words, for His words are spirit and are life.

Today the Lord is the Spirit, and the Spirit is embodied in the Word; when we come to the Word of God, we need to exercise our spirit to eat the Lord in His word.

When we eat Christ as the bread of life by eating His words, we live because of Him.

We are nourished with Him, He becomes our very constitution, and we live by what we eat.

May we be those who day by day exercise their spirit to enjoy the Lord in the Word, touching the Lord as the life-giving Spirit in His word, so that He may impart life into every part of our being and we would be nourished, supplied, and enabled to live Christ for His magnification on the earth.

Just as the living Father sent the Son and the Son ate the Father’s words and lived because of the Father, so we as believers in Christ need to eat the Lord’s words and be constituted with Him so that we may live because of Him today. Amen!

Touch and Enjoy the Life-giving Spirit in the Word to Receive and Enjoy Christ as the Bread of Life

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words which I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. John 6:63

If we were the Lord’s disciples around Him and heard the Lord’s words in John 6, especially those concerning our need to eat His flesh and drink His blood or else we have no part with Him, we would also be quite puzzled and even quite upset.

But thank the Lord for John 6:63 which clearly says, It is the Spirit who gives life, the flesh profits nothing; the words which I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

This shows that the Lord Jesus is today the Spirit who gives life, and we can eat Him as the bread of life (v. 48) by eating His words to touch and enjoy the life-giving Spirit.

If we don’t touch the Spirit in the Word of God, we cannot receive life.

The Bible is not just a book of black and white letters, neither is it just a compilation of many books and letters written by spiritual men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit.

The Bible is the Word of God, and the extract of the Bible is the Spirit.

God is embodied in Christ and Christ is realized as the Spirit; the Spirit is the extract of the Bible, and when we come to God’s word, we need to touch and enjoy the life-giving Spirit.

The incarnated, crucified, resurrected, and ascended Christ is the life-giving Spirit today, and this life-giving Spirit is embodied in the Word.

We need to eat Him daily and partake of His riches in spirit by coming to the Word of God to touch and enjoy the life-giving Spirit as the extract and spirit of the Word.

When we do this, we will feed on Christ as the bread of life.

How can we eat Christ as the bread of life? What is the best way to eat Christ as the living bread?

It is not merely reading the Bible or memorising the main verses in the Bible; it is to touch and enjoy the life-giving Spirit in the Word of God.

The Spirit is wonderful, but He is mysterious; however, the Spirit is embodied in the Word of God.

The word is substantial; the word is in our hands for us to read and enjoy.

If we today come to the word of God and contact the Spirit in the Word, we will eat Christ as the bread of life.

And receive the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which [Spirit] is the word of God, By means of all prayer and petition, praying at every time in spirit and watching unto this in all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints. Eph. 6:17-18We need to ask the Lord to teach us to eat Him as the bread of life.

Eph. 6:17 says that we need to take the word by means of all prayer and petition, and Matt. 4:4 says that we live not just on bread alone but on every word that proceeds out through the mouth of God.

We need to come to the Bible in the way of coming to contact the Lord, even asking Him to teach us how to eat Him in the Word.

We may have read a portion from the Word of God many times, but unless we exercise our spirit to contact the Lord as we read that portion, we are not inwardly nourished.

The logos word (the written word, the constant word of God) in the Bible needs to be converted into the rhema word – the instant, present, spoken word of God. In John 1:1 the Word is “logos”, the constant word of God; in 6:63 the “words” are “rhema,” the present, instant, spoken words of God.

Seeing that today Christ is the life-giving Spirit and that the Spirit is in the Word of God, we need to contact the Lord when we come to God’s word so that we may touch and enjoy the life-giving Spirit in the Word of God.

When we do this, when we touch the Spirit in the Word with our human spirit, we are inwardly nourished, for we partake of Christ as the bread of life.

If we do not touch the Spirit in the Word, we cannot receive life.

How much we need to daily come to the Lord and touch Him as the Spirit in the Word so that we may feed on Christ as the bread of life (v. 35).

May we daily come to the Lord in a personal way in our time with Him to touch and enjoy the life-giving Spirit in the Word so that we may eat Christ as the bread of life!

Lord Jesus, we exercise our spirit to come to Your word and enjoy You. Hallelujah, Christ is the bread of life for us to partake of, eat, and be nourished with. Amen, Lord, we want to touch and enjoy the life-giving Spirit in the Word so that we may eat Christ as the bread of life. Thank You for being not only the Spirit in an abstract way but even more the Word of life, the Word of God in our hands. We exercise our spirit to eat You in the word. We come to Your word and we want to obtain spirit and life. Speak to us. Enlighten us. Dispense more of Your life into us. Amen, Lord Jesus, we want to touch, enjoy, and partake of Your life-giving Spirit as we come to Your word. We want to feed on Christ as the bread of life! Amen, Lord, we want to not only read the Bible but even more, touch the Spirit of life embodied in the Word! Hallelujah, we can eat Christ as the bread of life by exercising our spirit to contact and enjoy the life-giving Spirit in the Word of God!

Daily Contact Christ as the Life-giving Spirit embodied in the Word of Life to Eat Christ

Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life. John 6:68

How we thank and praise the Lord for shining on us and removing the veils of our religious concepts regarding Christ who is not just our Lord but also the bread of life!

Like Peter in John 6:68, we realize that there’s nowhere else to go, for Christ has the words of eternal life!

Though we may not fully understand or agree with everything that the Lord says, we stay with Him, for He has the word of life.

Chapter 6 of John closes with the word of life, which is the means for us to receive the Lord as the bread of life (v. 63).

I am the bread of life. John 6:48 Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall by no means hunger, and he who believes into Me shall by no means ever thirst. John 6:35If we receive the Word, we will have the Spirit, and if we have the Spirit within us, we will have Christ as the inner supply of life. Amen!

The Word of God is outside of us; when we exercise our spirit to take the Word into us, immediately the Word becomes the Spirit.

Then, when we speak the word out, the Spirit again becomes the word, and what others receive is not just the word, but the Spirit. This is very interesting.

By the hearing of the word, we receive the Spirit; then, when we speak the word, others receive not just the word but the Spirit.

We believe the word of God and we receive the Spirit; the Spirit gives life, and we are inwardly quickened and become living.

When we believe the Word of God, we receive the Spirit; the Word outside of us becomes the Spirit inside of us.

Then, when we exercise our spirit and speak to others what we enjoy of Christ, the word becomes in them the Spirit, and the Spirit gives life. Amen!

Our need is to daily contact Christ as the life-giving Spirit embodied in the word of life so that we may eat Christ as the bread of life.

As we eat Christ, He speaks to us, He touches us concerning certain matters, and He operates in us as the word of life.

On the positive side, the Spirit operates in us to impart the divine life into every part of our inner being.

On the negative side, the Spirit works by means of the word of God to divide the soul from the spirit and bring us into God’s light concerning so many things.

May we all realize that our need is Christ as our life supply, and may we daily contact Him as the life-giving Spirit embodied in the Word.

The more we contact and enjoy the life-giving Spirit embodied in the word of life, the more we are inwardly nourished with Christ as the bread of life.

Then, after eating the word of God, we need to open to the Lord all the inner chambers of our heart.

We need to tell Him that we allow Him and His word to penetrate our inner being.

Especially today, as we live in an age where there’s an onslaught of things being brought into us, we need to fight to enjoy the Lord and allow Him to operate in our being.

We need to not only eat but also digest and assimilate the Lord in His word.

We are so used to checking out the latest things on social media; we check our phones so many things, watch so many things, and enjoy the feeds on different social media networks.

Satan wants to feed us by means of the TikTok feed, Facebook feed, Twitter feed, YouTube feed, Instagram feed, and all kinds of other “feeds.” Oh Lord!

Indeed days are coming, / Declares the Lord Jehovah, / When I will send a hunger into the land, / Not a hunger for bread / Nor a thirst for water, / But for hearing the words of Jehovah. Amos 8:11Many times we discover ourselves feeding on what the social media platforms offer us for many hours in a row, and then we feel that we don’t have a hunger for the Lord. Oh, Lord Jesus!

May we stand against the enemy’s deceit and refuse his feed and simply come to the Lord’s word to feed on Him as the life-giving Spirit.

May we claim the Lord’s promise in Amos 8:11 and ask Him to send a hunger for hearing the words of Jehovah in us, and may we not offend the Lord in any way.

If we give the Lord our best cooperation, He will continue to speak to us, and we will eat Him as the bread of life.

May we be His people who eat Him, digest Him, and assimilate Him in His word so that we may express Him.

As we experience and enjoy Christ as the bread of life day by day, we will also express Him.

Thank the Lord that He has been processed and consummated to be the life-giving Spirit and the Spirit today is in the Word of God!

He is the Spirit and the Word, and when we receive the Word, we have the Spirit as our enjoyment of Christ!

Amen, may we feed on Christ as the bread of life by daily contacting the life-giving Spirit in the word of God so that we may experience, enjoy, and express Christ as the bread of life!

Lord Jesus, we love You and we want to stay with You, for You have the words of life! Amen, Lord, we want to receive You as the bread of life by eating You as the word of life! We open to You and we receive the Word so that we may get the Spirit who gives life! Hallelujah Christ as the life-giving Spirit is embodied in the Word of God, and we can eat Christ by contacting the life-giving Spirit in the Word! Amen, Lord, we exercise our spirit today. We exercise to eat You in Your word. We need You as our life supply today. We want to daily contact You as the life-giving Spirit embodied in the Word. Amen, Lord, we come to You in Your word to contact You and be filled with You! Hallelujah, the Spirit is in the Word, and when we pray over the Word, we receive the Spirit and eat Christ as the bread of life! Amen, Lord, we want to eat, digest, and assimilate You as the bread of life so that You may be constituted into our being and we may live because of You! Amen, we want to be those who experience, enjoy, and express Christ as the bread of life today!

Words in this verse is rhema in Greek, which denotes the instant and present spoken word. It differs from logos, which denotes the constant word, as in John 1:1…The Spirit is living and real, yet He is very mysterious, intangible, and difficult for people to apprehend; the words, however, are substantial. First, the Lord indicated that for giving life He would become the Spirit. Then He said that the words He speaks are spirit and life. This shows that His spoken words are the embodiment of the Spirit of life. He is now the life-giving Spirit in resurrection, and the Spirit is embodied in His words. When we receive His words by exercising our spirit, we receive the Spirit who is life. The word is outside of us. When I receive the word into me, it immediately becomes the Spirit. When I speak the word out, the Spirit once again becomes the word…When we preach the gospel, we are actually preaching the word. When people believe the gospel, they believe the word. As strange as it may seem, when people receive the word, the word actually becomes the Spirit within them. For example, if you came to the Lord through John 3:16, you might have prayed, “Lord, I thank You that You are so good to me. You have given Your Son to me.”…When you believed these words, something within you was quickened and became living…You believed the word, yet you received the Spirit. The word outside of you became the Spirit inside of you… When you listened to the word and received it, you somehow received the Spirit also. This is very mysterious and marvelous. The Lord is the Spirit and the word. The resurrected Christ is the Spirit, the Spirit is the word, the word is the Spirit, and the Spirit is the resurrected Lord for us to enjoy…Hence, when we contact the word in spirit, we are actually contacting the Lord Himself as the living bread. When we receive the word in spirit, we are receiving Christ Himself as the abundant supply of life…Day by day, we are participating in this wonderful, resurrected Christ as our food, life, and life supply. He is the Spirit who gives life, and He is the word of life.

Dear brother, through His incarnation, crucifixion, resurrection and ascension Christ became the Life-giving Spirit – one who is embodied in the word of life.

When we contact Him and exercise our spirit to receive the word, we have Him as the Spirit who gives life.

Daily we need to feed on Him through the word that we may have the Spirit as our enjoyment of Christ!

Lord, thank You we can enjoy You as the bread of life by coming to feed on Your word! Amen! Lord, keep open to receive the word by the Spirit that others may receive the Spirit through the word spoken by us!

I did, and I still am eating today.

For it is the spirit that gives life, the flesh profits nothing.

I enjoyed that when we call we get His person through the spirit, no more is He bound by the flesh but moving freely in the spirit to reach you and me.

Praise the Lord for life in the spirit.

The Lord is the Spirit and the word. His words are the embodiment of the Spirit of life. However, His word is outside of us.

When we receive & believe the word, the word becomes the Spirit within us.

Through incarnation, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension, the Lord became the life-giving Spirit and this Spirit is embodied in the word of life.

May we not be content to merely receive the word outside of us. Daily may we touch Jesus as the Spirit in the word.

The Spirit is the extract of the bible.

Without the Spirit we can not touch and receive life.

Praise the Lord that the Lord became the Spirit for us to touch and experience day by day.

And there’s a tangible and substantial way for us to receive and enjoy the Spirit- the word!

It’s amazing that the Lord went to several steps to become the Spirit and then eventually this Spirit is not embodied in the word. The resurrected Lord is both the Spirit and the word.

Thank You Lord for these wonderful gifts of the Spirit and the word. May we exercise our entire being to receive You in the word as Spirit and as life.

Supply us today.🙏🙏🙏
