Enjoy the All-inclusive Christ with His Unsearchable Riches as Everything to us

For Jehovah your God is bringing you to a good land, a land of waterbrooks, of springs and of fountains, flowing forth in valleys and in mountains. Deut. 8:7

The good land of Canaan has a twofold significance in typology; on the positive side, it typifies the all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches for our enjoyment, and on the negative side, it signifies the aerial part, the heavenly part of the dark kingdom of Satan.

The good land is a type of Christ, the all-inclusive One, who has been allotted to us, the believers in Christ, for our enjoyment and experience today.

The history of the children of Israel is a type of our experience and history as the church as the spiritual people of God.

God’s intention for us, His people, is to enter into the possession and enjoyment of all that Christ is in His all-inclusiveness.

Therefore, we all have been allotted a portion of Christ for us to enjoy, experience, labor on, and have a rich produce both for our sustenance and for others’ supply, and also for God’s satisfaction.

However, as we see in the book of Joshua, the process of inheriting the land and taking possession of it is not something peaceful or uneventful.

Rather, the enemy rises up and does not allow us to peacefully enjoy and experience Christ.

In the Old Testament, there were many peoples and tribes in the land who already occupied it, so the people of Israel had to fight against them and clear the land.

Every step of the way, they had to fight to take over the land. Spiritually speaking, we need to see that there’s an intense battle for us to enjoy and partake of the all-inclusive Christ.

We may think that, once we become a believer in Christ, we are in peace all the time, and we just enjoy Christ.

However, what we discover is that the more we pursue the Lord, the more we want to enjoy the Lord, and the more there are hindrances, problems, and situations that rise up to frustrate our enjoyment of Christ.

We need to realize that the enemy of God, Satan, does not want us to enter into the enjoyment of Christ, so he rises up all kinds of situations and even people to frustrate us.

So there’s the need for spiritual warfare. We need to be aware that spiritual warfare is necessary for us to enter into the enjoyment and possession of the good land.

Day by day we need to testify that, if we want to enjoy the Lord, we need to fight for our time with the Lord, and we need to fight for our enjoyment of Christ.

Sometimes even our family may hinder us or frustrate us from enjoying the Lord. At other times our job, our responsibilities, and our work frustrate us and delay our time with the Lord.

May we fight for our enjoyment of Christ!

The Good Land of Canaan Typifies the All-Inclusive Christ with His Unsearchable Riches

Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you for a share of the allotted portion of the saints in the light. Col. 1:12

In the Old Testament, we see again and again the matter of the land; first, God recreated and restored the earth, the land, out of which came many forms of life in abundance, and then, God gave Abraham a portion of land, Canaan, for him and his descendants.

The reality of the good land of Canaan in our spiritual experience today is Christ.

The good land of Canaan typifies the all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches (Deut. 8:7-10; Col. 1:12; Eph. 3:8).

The land that came out of the death water on the third day of God’s restoration and further work of creation in Gen. 1-2 is a type of the resurrected Christ (Gen. 1:9; 2 Pet. 3:5).

Christ came out of death on the third day, and out of Him much life has come forth, sprang out, and was released.

And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear; and it was so. Gen. 1:9 For this escapes them by their own choosing, that by the word of God the heavens were of old and the earth was compacted out of water and through water. 2 Pet. 3:5Out of the land, out of the dust of the ground (a type of Christ), all life was formed, and even man was made of this.

Christ is the source of all kinds of life.

And He is in resurrection, out of any death and overcoming death, even elevated above and surrounded by death water.

There’s death all around Christ, but He is above and beyond all death, and life is in Him.

The good land revealed in Deuteronomy, especially in ch. 8, is a type of Christ.

The meaning and significance of the good land are concealed, so we may say that the land is also concealed in the Scriptures.

But praise the Lord, we can dive into God’s word and, with the help of the ministry and under the Lord’s light, we can see that the good land of Canaan typifies the all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches.

Before the people of Israel entered the good land, they enjoyed the Passover in Egypt and the manna in the wilderness; all these were a type of Christ.

When they entered into the good land, the manna ceased, and they ate of the produce of the land (Josh. 5:11-12).

The rich produce of the good land is a type of Christ, even the all-inclusive Christ.

Manna was a type of Christ as the life supply for God’s people in their journey and wandering in the wilderness.

The continuation of the manna is the rich produce of the good land, which also is a type of Christ.

The people of Israel ate the manna and drank the water from the rock that followed them, and they were able to build the tabernacle as God’s dwelling place.

Similarly in the good land, the people of Israel ate of the rich produce of the land and built the temple as the more solid dwelling place of God.

This is a type of us; as we enjoy the all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches, we are inwardly strengthened to build up the church as the Body of Christ for His corporate expression on the earth.

Through our enjoyment of the riches of the all-inclusive Christ, the church as the temple of God is built.

The good land is the ultimate and complete type of the all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches.

And on the day after the Passover, on that very day, they ate of the produce of the land, unleavened cakes and parched grain. And the manna ceased on that day, when they ate of the produce of the land; and there was no longer manna for the children of Israel, but they ate of the yield of the land of Canaan that year. Josh. 5:11-12According to Deut. 8:7-10, in this land there is water flowing forth in valleys and in mountains, and there is wheat, barley, pomegranates, olives, figs, vines, and minerals.

This land is rich. All these are types of the many aspects of the all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches.

Christ is the reality of the living water flowing in mountains and in valleys; wherever we are, He reaches us as living water.

Barley is a type of the resurrected Christ, and wheat is a type of the incarnated and crucified Christ.

Christ is the reality of the vines, olives, figs, pomegranates, and minerals.

The all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches is the reality of all the aspects of the good land of Canaan.

And just as the good land in the Old Testament was the crucial focus, for God wanted His people to be in this land and build the temple there to be His kingdom for His expression and representation, so the all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches is the focus of the New Testament.

In the New Testament God gives us only one person: Christ. He doesn’t give us a way, a thing, a method, or a matter that is apart from Christ; everything is in Christ, and Christ is everything.

God wants Christ to be everything to us, and we can take Christ as our life and everything to live a life for God’s purpose to build up the church as the house of God and the kingdom of God. Hallelujah!

Lord Jesus, we take You as our life and everything for our daily living. We want to enjoy and experience the all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches so that we may be built up as the church, the Body of Christ. Amen, Lord, we come to You to enjoy You in all that You are. Thank You for coming to us as the incarnated and resurrected Christ to be our life and life supply. Thank You for being our living water to supply us, water us, and refresh us. We open wide to You to just drink the living water. We open to drink deeply of You, for only You can quench our thirst. Amen, Lord, we take You as our life and life supply today. We want to advance in our enjoyment and experience of Christ until we enter into the enjoyment and possession of the all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches. Work Yourself into us a little more today for the church, the building of God. Amen, Lord, we love You!

The Good Land is a Type of the Christ who is All and in All and who is Everything to us

...the unsearchable riches of Christ as the gospel. Eph. 3:8On one hand, the good land of Canaan is a type of the all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches.

On the other hand, the good land is a type of the Christ who is all and in all and who is everything to us (Eph. 3:8).

Christ is not only all-inclusive and rich; He is for us to enjoy and partake of.

He wants to be our everything. Whatever we need, He is.

What we need humanly, spiritually, and psychologically, Christ is.

Do we need health? Christ is our health. Do we need energy? Christ is our energy.

Do we need peace, love, and joy? Christ is our peace, Christ is our love, and Christ is our joy.

Do we need faith? Christ is our faith. Do we need understanding? Christ is our understanding.

For Christ to be everything to us, the cross of Christ is required; the cross needs to be applied to anything and everything in us that is not Christ.

How can Christ be our joy when we still try to make ourselves happy in ourselves and with the things of this world?

The cross needs to be applied to our natural being so that Christ can be our joy.

We should not be shocked when, as a result of asking the Lord to be our everything, the cross is applied to our being; we should simply remain open to the Lord in all these matters.

We should not be discouraged, for we are in the process; the Lord is taking us through a process for us to enjoy Christ as our all in all so that He may be everything to us and in us.

Some parts of our being are still in the natural constitution, while other parts are in resurrection; some parts are not in Christ, while others are in Christ.

The all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches is becoming everything to us.

Whatever our situation is, whatever our age is, and whatever our condition is, the all-inclusive Christ is ready to be everything to us.

No matter what our family situation is and what is our health, the all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches wants to be everything to us.

He arranges many situations and people around us in order for us to open more to Him and enjoy Him as the all-inclusive One until He becomes our all in all.

For Jehovah your God is bringing you to a good land, a land of waterbrooks, of springs and of fountains, flowing forth in valleys and in mountains; A land of wheat and barley and vines and fig trees and pomegranates; a land of olive trees with oil and of honey; A land in which you will eat bread without scarcity; you will not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and from whose mountains you can mine copper. And you shall eat and be satisfied, and you shall bless Jehovah your God for the good land which He has given you. Deut. 8:7-10God’s intention revealed in the Scriptures is that Christ should be our land.

He wants to be our everything; He wants us to live in Him, work in Him, walk in Him, and send our roots deep down into Him.

He doesn’t want us to live in Egypt. He doesn’t want us to spend too much time in the wilderness.

God wants us to enter into the good land and live there.

In the Old Testament, Caleb was full of strength and vigour even at eighty years old, and he was ready to go at once and possess the land.

No matter what our physical age is, we can be inwardly strengthened with power through the Spirit into the inner man to allow Christ to make His home deep down in our heart.

We all can enter into the possession and enjoyment of the all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches.

We all can participate in this Christ and, as we enjoy Him, we realize He is our land.

He is our spiritual air for us to breathe, our living water for us to drink, the rich produce of the land for us to partake of, the rich soil for us to send our roots into, and He is everything to us.

As we enjoy the all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches, we are built up as the church, the house of God and the kingdom of God.

May we all go on with the Lord in our experience of Him until we enter into the full enjoyment of the all-inclusive Christ together with all the saints so that we may arrive at the fullness of God!

Lord Jesus, we want to enjoy You as the reality of the good land until Christ is all in all to us! Amen, Lord, we come to You to enjoy You as our life and as our everything. We open to You, Lord. We open and we allow You to apply the cross to every part of our being so that You can become our everything. We don’t want to manufacture our own joy, peace, love, and understanding; we come to You to take You as our joy, our peace, our love, and our understanding. We want to enjoy You in so many ways until You become everything to us. Hallelujah, the all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches wants to be our everything in our daily life! Amen, Lord, do in us whatever You need in order to keep our being open to You to enjoy and experience You as the all-inclusive One. Be everything to us today. We take You as our, our peace, our health, and our everything. Hallelujah for our all-inclusive Christ!

In Joshua 5:11 and 12 we see a hint that the good land typifies Christ as the continuation of the manna. Verse 11 says that the children of Israel ate of the produce of the land. Verse 12 is especially clear: “And the manna ceased on that day, when they ate of the produce of the land; and there was no longer manna for the children of Israel, but they ate of the yield of the land of Canaan that year.” Manna was a type of Christ as the life supply for God’s people. As these verses in Joshua point out, the produce of the good land was the continuation of the manna. Therefore, if the manna typifies Christ, the produce of the good land must also typify Him. By means of the supply of manna in the wilderness, God’s people were able to build the tabernacle as God’s dwelling place. In the same principle, through the supply of the rich produce of the land, they were able to build the temple as a more solid dwelling place for God. No doubt, the good land enjoyed by the children of Israel is a significant type of Christ, for through the enjoyment of it, the temple was built. We may even say that it is the ultimate type of Christ found in the Scriptures. It is a complete and all-inclusive type of Christ. We need to know in detail how Christ is typified by all the items mentioned in Deuteronomy 8:7-10. He is the water that flows forth in valleys and in mountains. He is the wheat and the barley, which signify respectively the incarnated and crucified Christ and the resurrected Christ. We must go on to see how Christ is typified by vines, oil, figs, pomegranates, and minerals.

Dear brother, on the positive side the good land of Canaan typifies the all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches.

It is the complete type of our all-inclusive Christ who is our everything.

We need to enjoy Christ as our life, light, living water flowing in valleys and in mountains, air, rich produce of the land, and everything we need for us to live for God’s purpose.

Christ wants to be our everything!

Lord Jesus, keep us enjoying You today. We want to enjoy You as the riches of the good land in many ways and in many aspects so that we may be built up as the Body of Christ and the kingdom of God!

I enjoyed this morning that the crucial focus in the old testament is the land and the center of the old testament is the temple and the city.

Because Deuteronomy describes the land on the one hand it is revealed, on the other hand we may also say it is concealed because the meaning and significance are not easily understood.

We need to see that the land is the ultimate type of the all-inclusive Christ, if the passover enjoyed in Egypt and the manna experienced in the wilderness are types of Christ then the good land must also be a type of Christ!

Lord unveil us to go beyond the doctrine, bring us more throughly and deeply into the rich experience of the all-inclusive Christ for the reality of Your Body and ushering in of Your Kingdom!

What a mercy Lord, thank You for unveiling us, we need more unveiling!!

Our Christ is a vast and all- inclusive good land in whom we may freely roam.

We can feed on Him each day as our crucified & resurrected One, and as our life-supply & enjoyment.

In the heavenly realm, Satan seeks to hinder & frustrate God’s heavenly people from enjoying Christ as the good land.

On the Earth, he is fighting ferociously to prevent God’s earthly people from taking possession of the physical land.

All around us, war is raging and we must fight the good fight to enjoy & experience Christ.

May we be strong and of good courage to take the land and make it ours!

Brother, We give thanks to the Father, who has qualified you for a share of the allotted portion of the saints in the light.

This alloted portion points to the good land as the ultimate and complete figure of the all inclusive Christ who is and who desires to be everything to us.

Oh how we need to enjoy Him as such!

But this enjoyment requires a battle, a fight. Satan will not just sit and slack.

It’s quite sobering to see that all the battles recorded in the Old Testament are related to, not just the land but even to our enjoyment of this land.

Thank You Father for qualifying us. In ourselves we are not qualified and we are not able.

Thank You for Your promise that it is You who is bringing us into this land for the sake the the temple, Your building, the church. Amen🙏🙏🙏

The good land, the land of Canaan, is a full, complete, and consummate type of the all-inclusive Christ, who is the embodiment of the Triune God (Col. 2:9) realized as the all-inclusive life-giving Spirit (1 Cor. 15:45; 2 Cor. 3:17), as the inheritance allotted to God’s people for their enjoyment (Col. 1:12 and note Col. 1:122; Col. 2:6-7 and note Col. 2:62b; Gal. 3:14 and note Gal. 3:143e). The riches of the good land in vv. 7-9 typify the unsearchable riches of Christ in different aspects (Eph. 3:8) as the bountiful supply to His believers in His Spirit (Phil. 1:19). The waterbrooks, springs, and fountains signify Christ as the flowing Spirit (John 4:14; 7:37-39; Rev. 22:1), and the valleys and mountains signify the different kinds of environments in which we may experience Christ as the flowing Spirit (cf. 2 Cor. 6:8-10). Wheat typifies the incarnated Christ, who was crucified and buried to multiply Himself (John 12:24), and barley, being the first-ripe grain (2 Sam. 21:9), points to the resurrected Christ as the firstfruits (1 Cor. 15:20). Vines typify the Christ who sacrificed Himself to produce wine to cheer God and man (Judg. 9:13; Matt. 9:17). The fig tree speaks of the sweetness and satisfaction of Christ as the life supply (Judg. 9:11); the pomegranates signify the fullness, the abundance and beauty, and the expression of the riches of Christ as life (Exo. 28:33-34; 1 Kings 7:18-20; S.S. 4:3, 13); the bread signifies Christ as the bread of life (John 6:35, 48); the olive tree typifies Christ (Rom. 11:17) as the One who was filled with the Spirit and anointed with the Spirit (Luke 4:1, 18; Heb. 1:9); olive oil typifies the Holy Spirit, by whom we walk to honor God and whom we minister to honor man (Gal. 5:16, 25; 2 Cor. 3:6, 8; Judg. 9:9); and milk and honey (Deut. 6:3) speak forth the goodness and sweetness of Christ (see note Exo. 3:82e). Stones signify Christ as material for building God’s dwelling place (Isa. 28:16; Zech. 4:7; 1 Pet. 2:4). The iron and copper are for making weapons (Gen. 4:22; 1 Sam. 17:5-7) and typify our spiritual warfare by which we fight the enemy (2 Cor. 10:4; Eph. 6:10-20). Iron also signifies Christ’s ruling authority (Matt. 28:18; Rev. 19:15), and copper, Christ’s judging power (Rev. 1:15 and note Rev. 1:151a). The mountains from which copper is mined signify Christ’s resurrection and ascension (Eph. 4:8 and note Eph. 4:81).

God’s goal in His economy is not merely to redeem His people and save them from the world, typified by Egypt, but to bring them into Christ, typified by the good land, that they may possess Him and enjoy His unsearchable riches. By enjoying the riches of the land, the children of Israel were able to build up the temple to be God’s habitation on earth and the city of Jerusalem to establish God’s kingdom on earth. Likewise, by enjoying the unsearchable riches of Christ, the believers in Christ are built up to be Christ’s Body, the church, which is Christ’s fullness, His expression (Eph. 1:22-23), and which is also the habitation of God (Eph. 2:21-22; 1 Tim. 3:15) and the kingdom of God (Matt. 16:18-19; Rom. 14:17). Ultimately, God’s habitation and God’s kingdom will consummate in the New Jerusalem in eternity for the fulfillment of God’s eternal economy (Rev. 21:1-3, 22; 22:1, 3).

This text is talking about how Christ is like the good land that God brought the Israelites to in Deuteronomy 8:7.

The land was full of water and life, just as Christ is the source of all kinds of life.

The text also explains that when Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, he became like this good land because all life came out of him.

Our physical bodies are made up of elements from the earth, just like man was made from dust.

So in a way, we come from the same place as Christ and he is our source for everything we need to live and grow spiritually.

This idea is illustrated by comparing Christ to Canaan, which was a picture or symbol for him in Hebrews chapter 11.

(HWMRW1D2) Enjoyment 😊
