Enjoy the All-inclusive Christ as God, as Man, and as the Reality of Our Necessities

As the living Father has sent Me and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also shall live because of Me. John 6:57

The all-inclusive Christ as the rich soil into whom we are rooted is all that we need, and in Him we lack nothing; Christ as the soil is the history and mystery of God with all the riches of His person and processes, and He is God, man, and all our necessities.

Praise the Lord for this wonderful, all-inclusive Christ!

As believers in Christ, we need to realize that we have been rooted in Him; He is the good land into whom we’re rooted, and in Him we lack nothing.

The Lord is our Shepherd, and we lack nothing in Him, for He shepherds us according to God.

Before He can feed us and supply us with what He is, however, He first causes us to lie down in green pastures.

He restores our soul, causing our soul to be restored and happy, and then He nourishes us with Himself.

As long as we take time to absorb the Lord in our spirit, we will realize that He is the all-inclusive One, and in Him we lack nothing.

If we need anything, Christ is the reality of that need to us.

We don’t need more patience, joy, or ability to forgive; what we need is more Christ.

He is the One in whom all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily. And as we enjoy Him, we are being made full in Him.

He is not only the embodiment of the riches of what God is; He is the embodiment of the fullness of the Godhead.

As we come to the Lord to contact Him in our personal time with Him, we send our roots deep down into Him as the rich soil into whom we’re rooted, and we partake of his riches.

In Christ as the soil we are filled, completed, perfected, and satisfied; He is our full supply, and in Him we lack nothing.

As we come together with the saints to enjoy the Lord corporately, we realize how rich He is to us. In Him, we’re rooted, and in Him and with Him we grow.

Whatever He is becomes our experience and enjoyment. Actually, we don’t really know what we need; what we know is that we need more of Him.

As we exercise our spirit day by day to contact the Lord, He adds Himself to us to complete us, perfect us, satisfy us, fill us, and thoroughly supply us. Wow, Amen!

On the negative side, as we enjoy the Lord, His death is applied to our being to remove anything of the flesh, the self, and the natural man.

Our old man is put to death, our flesh is exposed and cut off, and our self is denied. On the positive side, we’re raised with Him, filled with His life, and made one with Him.

What a rich Christ we have! He is God, He is Man, and He is our necessities!

Enjoy Christ as God and Man; as Man, He’s the Apostle, Prophet, Counselor, Teacher, Leader, Master, Slave, Shepherd, Witness, Priest, Mediator, Surety, King, and Bridegroom

Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus. Heb. 3:1 Moses said, "A Prophet will the Lord your God raise up unto you from your brothers, like me; Him shall you hear in whatever things He speaks to you". Acts 3:22 But you, do not be called Rabbi, for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers. Matt. 23:8The New Testament reveals so many aspects of what Christ is to us for our enjoyment and experience.

Christ as the rich soil into whom we’re rooted is the history of God and the mystery of God.

With the riches of His person and processes, He is available for us to enjoy and experience in our spirit.

As we exercise our spirit, we enjoy Christ as the all-inclusive One with all His processes and His history.

First, Christ is God. He is the Word that became flesh, and this incarnated Word of God is Christ Himself, who made His tabernacle among us (John 1:1, 14).

Christ is the very God (20:28-29; Isa. 9:6; John 14:9-10; 2 Cor. 3:17; 1 Cor. 15:45b; Acts 2:36).

By believing into Him that He is the Son of God, even God Himself, we are saved. Hallelujah!

Furthermore, He is man (1 Tim. 2:5). Hallelujah, Christ is both God and man!

As man, Christ is the Apostle (Heb. 3:1). He was sent by God to fulfill God’s commission, and He came from God tor each us.

He was sent not as God but as man; as man, Christ came to us and brought God to us.

As man, Christ is the Prophet (Acts 3:22-23). Christ is the greatest Prophet. He came from God to edify and instruct us about God.

He came to tell us something about God and about His heart’s desire, and He informed us concerning God’s future plan.

We can enjoy Christ as the Prophet day by day by opening to Him and receiving His speaking in a fresh and living way.

As man, Christ is the Counselor (Isa. 9:6). Daily we need to take Him as our Counselor.

As we are about to do this and that, as we are about to make some decisions, we need to come to Him as our Counselor.

We need to take Christ as our Counselor for anything we don’t understand, asking Him what to do, where to God, and how He feels about this and about that.

He knows our deepest thoughts, our every situation, and He understands where we are and what we go through.

We just need to open to Him and speak to Him as our Counselor.

As man, Christ is the Teacher (Matt. 23:8, 10). Isa. 30 says that, in returning and rest, we will be saved, and in quietness and trust, He will be our strength.

Later in that chapter, we are told that our eyes will see our teacher, our ears will hear His word, and we will walk in His way, not turning to the right or to the left.

Christ is in us as our Teacher. He teaches us all things.

We don’t need someone to teach us: we have Christ as our inner anointing (1 John 2:27), and He teaches us all things, especially that we abide in Him.

When we come to the Lord both by exercising our spirit and by coming to His word, we will find that He is our Teacher. We will enjoy Him and receive His teaching.

And throughout the day, His living word will speak to us, regulating us from within, for His teaching is a living teaching and our Teacher is a living Teacher who lives in us.

Praise the Lord for our indwelling Teacher!

Lord Jesus, we come to You to enjoy You as the rich soil into whom we’re rooted. Thank You for being the very God and also for being man! Amen, Lord, we want to enjoy You as our Apostle, the One sent from God to teach us and bring God’s word to us. Speak to us today. Convey to us the message of God and bring us into the desire of God’s heart. We take You as our Prophet. Make the desire of God’s heart become the desire of our heart. Bring us back to God to enjoy Him with all His riches. Amen, Lord, we take You as our Counselor. We open to You. We bring to You the things we don’t understand. We open to You concerning what to do. We take You as our inner Counselor who comforts us, counsels us, and shepherds us. Amen, Lord Jesus, we take You as our Teacher. We want to follow Your teaching by following the leading of the inner anointing. Hallelujah for our indwelling Teacher who teaches us concerning all things!

I am the good Shepherd; the good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. John 10:11 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry inasmuch as He is also the Mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted upon better promises. Heb. 8:6 By so much Jesus has also become the surety of a better covenant. Heb. 7:22As man, Christ is the Leader (Heb. 2:10). If we come to Him with a sincere heart to follow Him, He will lead us.

Many may say that they don’t sense God’s leading; we need to deal with our heart to be pure in heart and see God, and we will sense the Lord’s leading.

As man, Christ is the Master (Luke 5:5). He is our Master and we are His servants.

He owns us, for He purchased us with His own blood to be His treasure, His possession.

As man, Christ is the Slave (Isa. 42:1). On one hand, He is the Master; on the other hand, He is our Slave.

Luke 22:27 says that, though He’s the Master and the Teacher among His disciples, He is also the slave.

He both cares for us as a Master and serves us as a Slave. What a Christ!

As man, Christ is the Shepherd (John 10:11). He is the Shepherd of our souls.

He is not like the hired shepherds, who run when the enemy comes; rather, He is the Good Shepherd, laying down His life for His sheep.

He laid down His soul life and His physical life for us, His sheep.

And day by day He shepherds us, leading us to waters of rest, restoring our soul, taking us to the pasture, and protecting us from the enemy and anything evil.

What a Shepherd we have!

As man, Christ is the Witness (Rev. 1:5). He is the faithful Witness of God. He testifies to us what God is, and He is faithful in His testimony.

By knowing Him, we know God, and by seeing Him, we can see what the testimony of God is.

As man, Christ is the Priest (Heb. 7:25-26). He is now the Man in the glory, the High Priest always living to intercede for us before God.

He intercedes for us before God and ministers God to us. He brings us to God and He brings God to us.

When we open to Him and enjoy Him in our personal time with Him, we enjoy the rich dispensing of what God is into us, for Christ as the Priest ministers God to us and brings us before God.

As man, Christ is the Mediator (Heb. 8:6). He is the Mediator between us and God. He mediates our situation with God, and He is the Mediator of the new covenant.

Christ negotiates everything for us with God, and He makes sure we get “a good deal” – the new covenant, in which we are given God as our everything. Hallelujah!

As man, Christ is the surety (7:22). He is the Guarantor. He makes sure that what He negotiates between us and God is applied to us.

The new covenant has been made, Christ died to enact it, He became the surety of the new covenant, and now He guarantees that all the provisions in the new covenant are applied to us in our experience. Wow, Hallelujah!

Our reference is in the heavens: Christ Himself as man!

As man, Christ is the King (Matt. 2:2). He came as a King not to rule us outwardly but to dispense His kingly life into us to make us kingdom people.

As we receive the Lord’s life into us, we partake of His divine and kingly nature, and we rule with Him as kings.

He is the King, and we are becoming the co-kings with Christ.

As man, Christ is the Bridegroom (John 3:29). He came to court us, to woo us, and to draw us with Himself by His aromatic virtues expressing His bountiful divine attributes.

We are simply drawn to Him, and we love Him as our Bridegroom.

And we are looking forward to that day when the bride and Bridegroom meet, when the Spirit and the bride are one (Rev. 22:17)!

Lord Jesus, we take You as our Leader. We exercise our spirit and turn our heart to You to follow You with a sincere heart. Lead us today. You are our Master. We give ourselves to serve You, for You purchased us with Your own blood. Lord, we take You as our Servant, the Slave of God to serve for us. What a Christ we have: He’s both our Master and our Slave! Amen, Lord, we love You as our Shepherd. We open to Your shepherding today. Lead us to waters of rest and give us more of Yourself as our pasture. We take You as the Witness of God, the faithful Witness that testifies to us what God is to us and for us. We take You as our High Priest, the Priest of God who intercedes for us before God. We open to You, Lord, and we take You as the Mediator and Surety of the new covenant! Hallelujah, Christ makes sure that all that God is will be applied to us in our experience! Amen, Lord, You are our King! We take You as the One who rules over us by ruling in us inwardly. We take You as our Bridegroom. We love You, Lord Jesus, our beloved Bridegroom!

Christ is our Necessities: our Light, Air, Water, Food, Clothing, Lodging, Enjoyment, and Rest

Jesus said to him, I am the way and the reality and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6 Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall by no means walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12 And when He had said this, He breathed into [them] and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit. John 20:22 But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall by no means thirst forever; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into eternal life. John 4:14Christ is all-inclusive not in a general way but in a very specific way. He is both God and man, and He is also the reality of all our necessities (John 14:6).

In the New Testament we are told that Christ meets our every need.

John 8:12 says that Christ is the light of the world, and those who believe into Him will no longer walk in darkness but have the light of life.

We need light. Christ is the light, and when we come to Him in spirit, we are enlightened by Him.

By being enlightened by the Lord as the light of life, we become luminaries in the world, for we express Him as light.

We walk in the light, live in the light, and even become light in the Lord. Even as He is light, He makes us light in Him. Hallelujah!

As the reality of all our necessities, Christ is our air; John 20:22 tells us that the Lord breathed Himself into His disciples as the Holy Spirit.

Christ is so subjective to us that He is our very breath; He is the very air that we breathe.

As we breathe physically, we can open to Him to breathe Him spiritually.

We can exercise our spirit to breathe Him in, and by calling on the name of the Lord, we inhale what He is.

He is also the breath of God in God’s word (1 Tim. 3:15-16); as we exercise our spirit over the word of God, we can breathe in the breathed-out Word of God. Hallelujah!

Christ is the reality of all our necessities.

Christ is our water (John 4:14). He gives us living water.

We are thirsty all the time, and we try to drink from the water that this world has to give us, but only the Lord Jesus as the living water can satisfy us and quench our thirst.

Day by day we need to come to the Lord and drink Him as the living water.

The water He gives us is not static; it is a living, flowing water, and this water becomes in us a fountain of water springing up into eternal life. Hallelujah!

Christ is our food (John 6:35). He is the bread of life, the living bread, the bread of God, and the bread that came down out of heaven for us to eat.

When we eat Christ, we live because of Him (John 6:57). Hallelujah!

Day by day we need to exercise our spirit when we come to the Word of God to eat the Lord and live because of Him.

We eat Him by coming to His word with our heart turned to Him and with our spirit exercised to touch Him.

As we come to the Lord and spend time with Him, He feeds us with Himself. He is living, and He makes us living.

As He lived because of the Father, so we can eat Him and live because of Him.

Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall by no means hunger, and he who believes into Me shall by no means ever thirst. John 6:35 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Gal. 3:27 I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing. John 15:5 Come to Me all who toil and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Matt. 11:28Christ is our clothing (Gal. 3:27). All those who were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

We put on Christ as our clothing; He is the reality of the garments that we wear.

When we put on Christ, we wear Him as our clothing. When others see us, they should see Christ being lived out of us, for Christ is our real clothing, our real expression. Amen!

As the reality of all our necessities, Christ is our lodging, our dwelling place (John 15:5). Christ is our abode and we are His abode (v. 7).

We abide in Him and He abides in us. Our real dwelling place is not the house we live in; it is Christ Himself. He has become our dwelling place and we dwell in Him.

Christ is our home and we are His home.

Christ is our enjoyment and rest (Col. 2:16-17; Matt. 11:28).

When we come to Him, we can enjoy Him as the reality of all that we need, and He is our enjoyment.

Christ is the body of all the shadows, the reality of all the positive things in the universe, for our enjoyment.

And we can come to Him as we are to receive rest; He will give us rest for our soul, for He Himself is our rest.

Christ is our food, our drink, our feast, our new moon, and our Sabbath. He’s everything to us – He is the reality of all our necessities!

Lord Jesus, we love You and we take You as the reality of all our necessities. You are our light; You are the light of the world, and we come to You to walk in Your light and not live in darkness. Amen, Lord, You are our air; we exercise our spirit and call on Your name to breathe You in. Fill us with Yourself. You are our living water; we come to You to drink of You and be filled with living water! Amen, Lord, give us to drink today! May the water You give us become in us a fountain of water springing up into eternal life! We take You as our food: we want to eat You and live because of You. We take You as our clothing: we want to put on Christ and express Christ by letting Christ live in us and through us. Amen, Lord, we take You as our abode; You are our dwelling place, and we abide in You and You in us. Oh Lord, we take You as our enjoyment and our rest. You are the reality of every positive thing in the universe for our enjoyment!

Christ is every necessity and all the enjoyment…John 8:12 says that He is the light of the world and that everyone who follows Him shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life…Christ is also our food. In John 6 He told us that He is the living bread and that if we eat Him, we shall live because of Him (vv. 51, 57b)…

According to 1 Corinthians 10:4, Christ is our spiritual drink. In the Christian race, we should not drink anything other than the all-inclusive Christ as our all-inclusive drink… Christ is our very breath. John 20:22 shows that Christ breathed Himself into the disciples. We need to breathe Him in moment by moment by calling on His name…

Christ is even our clothing. Galatians 3:27 says, “As many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” To put on Christ is to wear Christ as our clothing…Christ is also our dwelling place, our abode (John 15:7a)…Christ is our enjoyment and rest (Col. 2:16- 17; Matt. 11:28).

According to Colossians 2:16-17, He is our food, our drink, our feast, our new moon, and our Sabbath. He is the body of all the shadows, the reality of every positive thing in the universe for our enjoyment.

What a Christ we have. He is both God and man, and as man, he is the apostle, counselor, prophet, teacher, leader, master, slave, Shepherd, witness, priest, mediator, surety, king, and bridegroom. Hallelujah.

He’s the reality of all our necessities: our light, our air, our water, our food, our clothing, our lodging, our enjoyment and our rest.

Oh Lord. We exercise our spirit to enjoy You as such a One. You are the all-inclusive Christ for our enjoyment and experience!

Wow brother, what a Christ have we!

As man, He is at least 10 rich things for us to absorb & enjoy: the Prophet, Counsellor, Teacher, Leader, Servant, Master, Mediator, Guarantor, Bridegroom and Husband.

As Christ, He is our light, our food, our drink, our breath, our clothing, our dwelling place, our enjoyment & rest, our feast, our new moon and our Sabbath.

Above all, He is the body of all the shadows, the reality of every positive thing in the universe.

How foolish it is to neglect such a One of peerless worth!

5/17/24 Experiencing and Enjoying the All-inclusive Christ as the Good Land – a Land in Which We Do Not Lack Anything (Week 8, Day 5)

“Christ as the Soil is the History and the Mystery of God with All the Riches of His Person and Processes” (Part 1)

In Christ as the Soil, we are filled, completed, perfected, satisfied, and thoroughly supplied; we do not lack anything (Phil 1:19). Christ as the soil is the history and mystery of God with all the riches of His person and processes (Col 2:2). The elements of His processes caused us to also experience His fullness, His circumcision in the flesh, His burial, His being raised from the dead, His being made alive, His wiping out of the ordinances, and His stripping off of the rulers and authorities.

Being rooted in Christ as the Soil, we, not only experience the elements of His processes, but also His All-inclusive Person:

A. Christ is God (John 1:1; 20:28-29; Isa 9:6; John 14:9-10; 2Cor 3:17; 1Cor 15:45b; Acts 2:36) ~ The Sovereign God is embodied in Christ and in now in our regenerated spirit to supply us whatever we need.

B. Christ is man (1Tim 2:5) :

1. He is the Apostle (Heb 3:1) ~ He is sent by God to spread the gospel of salvation.

2. He is the Prophet (Acts 3:22-23) ~ He edifies and instructs us about God and His plan for us.

3. He is the Counselor (Isa 9:6) ~ He advises us on what to do, especially, on the things we do not understand.

4. He is the Teacher (Mat 23:8, 10) ~ He teaches us concerning spiritual matters by His anointing.

5. He is the Leader (Heb 2:10) ~ He leads us where to go and what to do.

6. He is the Master (Luke 5:5) ~ He rules over us by shepherding us.

7. He is the Slave (Isa 42:1) ~ He serves us by cherishing us and feeding us.

8. He is the Shepherd (John 10:11) ~ He take care of our needs.

9. He is the Witness (Rev 1:5) ~ He testifies for us that we, the Believers, already have God’s life, and that we are children of God.

10. He is the Priest (Heb 7:25-26) ~ He ministers God to us and brings us to God, even, intercedes for us before God.

11. He is the Mediator (Heb 8:6) ~ He negotiates everything for us with God.

12. He is the surety (Heb 7:22) ~ He is the surety and the guarantor on what He negotiates for us to God.

13. He is the King (Mat 2:2) ~ He rules within us and through us with authority.

14. He is the Bridegroom (John 3:29; 2 Cor 11:2) ~ He loves us and takes care of us as His Bride.

C. Christ is our necessities—John 14:6:

1. He is our light (John 8:12) ~ He enlightens us whenever we fall into darkness.

2. He is our air (John 20:22) ~ He is breathable to enliven us.

3. He is our water (John 4:14) ~ He quenches our thirst.

4. He is our food (John 6:35) ~ He fills us up whenever we are in hunger.

5. He is our clothing (Gal 3:27) ~ We can put Him on and wear Him for our expression.

6. He is our lodging (John 15:5) ~ He is our dwelling place, our abode, our refuge, and our hiding place, for our rest.

7. He is our enjoyment and rest (Col 2:16-17; Mat 11:28) ~ We can enjoy Him and can find rest in Him.

The book of Colossians reveal to us that God is embodied in Christ Who is now the Life-giving Spirit indwelling our regenerated spirit. We are like plants being planted and rooted into Christ as the rich Soil within us in order for us to experience what He has accomplished, and also what He is in His Person.

When we remain rooted into Him, we shall enjoy and experience everything, not only in His experiences in His earthly and heavenly ministry, but also in His All-inclusive Person, that is, everything that He is to supply us according to our needs for the fulfillment of His purpose.

“We thank You, Lord Jesus, for being the All-inclusive One, typified by the rich Soil, Who indwells us in order for us to experience, not only the processes that You have undergone, but also Your very Person to equip us and supply us with all our needs for the fulfillment of God’s eternal purpose. Amen.”

To eat is to take food into us that it may be assimilated organically into our body. Hence, to eat the Lord Jesus is to receive Him into us that He may be assimilated by the regenerated new man in the way of life. Then we live by Him whom we have received. It is by this that He, the resurrected One, lives in us (John 14:19-20). John 6:57 footnote 1 on “eats Me”, Recovery Version Bible

Isaiah 42 reveals Christ (Matt. 12:15-21), the Servant of Jehovah (Mark 10:45; Phil. 2:5-11), as a covenant for God’s chosen people, Israel, and a light for the Gentile nations (see note Isa. 42:61b and note Isa. 42:62c). The source of Christ as the Servant of Jehovah is His divinity, His deity (vv. 1, 6; 49:5, 7-8), whereas His qualification is in His humanity, in His human virtues (vv. 2-4). Christ’s commission is to raise up the tribes of Jacob; to bring Jacob back to Jehovah so that Israel would be gathered to Him (Isa. 49:5-6a); to be a covenant of the people, i.e., of Israel (v. 6d; Isa. 49:8d); to restore the land (Isa. 49:8e); to be a light to the nations (v. 6e; Isa. 49:6c); to bring forth justice for salvation in truth to the nations (vv. 1, 3b; Isa. 49:6d); to open the eyes of the blind that they may see the divine and spiritual things concerning God’s eternal economy (v. 7a; Luke 4:18b; Acts 26:18a); and to bring the prisoner out from the prison, those who dwell in darkness out from the prison house, that they may be released from the dark kingdom of Satan into the kingdom of God’s beloved Son (v. 7; Col. 1:12-13). Isa. 42:1, footnote 1 on “Servant”, Recovery Version Bible

A very good hymn on this topic is Hymns #510 – 15 stanzas of what Christ is to us. Here are the last 5 of them:

11. Christ is my everlasting home,

 My all-sufficient land;

My fortress, tower, hiding-place,

 And my eternal stand.

12. Christ is my sabbath and new moon,

 My morning and my day,

My age and my eternity

 That ne’er will pass away.

13. Christ is my trust and my desire,

 In comeliness replete,

My satisfaction and delight,

Who all my need doth meet.

14. My Christ, the all-inclusive One,

My Christ what shall I call?

He is the first, He is the last,

My Christ is All in all.

15. Since such a treasure I possess,

 My heart doth sing for joy;

And I must sing, and sing again;

Oh, what a Christ have I!
