Enjoy the All-inclusive Christ as our Allotted Portion in the Light with the Saints

...you may tell out the virtues of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 1 Pet. 2:9

As believers in Christ, we need to enjoy the all-inclusive Christ as our allotted portion in the light with all the saints.

Christ as the preeminent and all-inclusive One is the allotted portion of the saints in the light for our experience and enjoyment, and when we’re in the light and even become light, we enjoy this all-inclusive One to be His habitation and His kingdom. Praise the Lord!

This week we come to week 8 in the HWMR on the matter of labouring on the all-inclusive Christ, and the title for this week is, Experiencing and Enjoying the All-inclusive Christ as the Good Land – a Land in Which We Do Not Lack Anything.

What a Christ we have! In Him, we do not lack anything. He is all we need.

Just as the good land in the Old Testament provided everything to the people of God for them to exist, live, build up the temple of God, and become the kingdom of God to express and represent God, so today the all-inclusive Christ is all we need.

As believers in Christ, everything we need for us to exist, live, be built up as the church, and be established as the kingdom of God is the all-inclusive Christ who is the preeminent One in God’s economy.

God has allotted to us the all-inclusive Christ, and He has given us nothing else apart from Christ.

God didn’t just give us redemption, salvation, sanctification, and transformation; He gave Christ to us as our redemption, and Christ is our salvation, our sanctification, and our transformation.

However, in order for us to enter into the enjoyment and experience of such a One, we need to exercise our spirit of faith and also exercise our heart.

On the side of our heart, we should not have an evil heart of unbelief but rather, be filled with faith in spirit to enter into the enjoyment of this Christ.

On the side of our spirit, we need to exercise our spirit, for faith is in our spirit, and we can partake of the riches of the all-inclusive Christ who is everything to us.

It is easy for us to focus on what we see in our being, in our situation, or around us.

Actually, the world today is bombarding us with “news” and all kinds of things, and it reaches us again and again to usurp us and wear us out.

Even more, Satan works tirelessly to accuse others before us and even to accuse God before us, for he’s the accuser of the brethren and of God.

It seems that everything works together to distract us from the enjoyment of the all-inclusive Christ.

But as believers in Christ, we need to exercise our spirit of faith and refuse to have an evil heart of unbelief.

The Bible says that Christ as the preeminent and all-inclusive One is the allotted portion of the saints in the light, and we believe this.

The Bible tells us that in this good land, we eat bread without scarcity, and we say Amen to this. We want to enter into this experience today in our daily living!

Enjoy the All-inclusive Christ to be Built as the Church and bring in God’s Kingdom

Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you for a share of the allotted portion of the saints in the light. Col. 1:12

Col. 1:12 says that God the Father has qualified us for a share of the allotted portion of the saints in the light.

What does this allotted portion refer to? Did God give us a piece of land, as He did to His earthly people Israel in the Old Testament?

The allotting of the good land in the Old Testament is a type of how Christ, the preeminent and all-inclusive One, has been allotted to us as believers in Christ.

We have been given a lot of inheritance, as illustrated by the allotment of the good land of Canaan given to the children of Israel for their inheritance (Josh. 14:1).

As therefore you have received the Christ, Jesus the Lord, walk in Him, having been rooted and being built up in Him, and being established in the faith even as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. Col. 2:6-7But our lot of inheritance is not physical: it is spiritual, and it is a portion of the all-inclusive Christ.

God has allotted to us a portion of the all-inclusive and preeminent Christ to be our divine inheritance for our enjoyment and experience.

Just as the children of Israel in the Old Testament did, we need to labor on this all-inclusive Christ as our God-allotted portion so that we may obtain the rich produce for our existence, living, and building up.

Deut. 8:7-9 speaks of the different riches of the good land; they typify the unsearchable riches of Christ in different aspects (Eph. 3:8) as the bountiful supply to us, the believers of Christ, in His Spirit (Phil. 1:19).

Christ is not only the good land in general; He is and has many unsearchable riches, all of which have been allotted to us for our enjoyment.

Actually, all the unsearchable riches of Christ are in the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, who is with our spirit! Amen!

The children of Israel were redeemed and delivered from Egypt not merely to be brought into a good land but to enjoy the riches of the land, be able to build up the temple as God’s habitation and the city of Jerusalem to establish God’s kingdom on earth.

Likewise we today need to enjoy the unsearchable riches of Christ so that we may be built up to be the Body of Christ, the house of God, and bring in the kingdom of God for His manifestation on earth. Wow!

This is God’s economy, His heart’s desire.

He didn’t redeem us and save us merely so that we go to heaven and be with Him forever; rather, the purpose and goal of God’s salvation is that we enjoy the unsearchable riches of Christ and be filled unto all the fullness of God to be the Body of Christ and bring in the kingdom of God.

When we enjoy the riches of Christ, which are unsearchable and unfathomable, we believers in Christ are built up to be the Body of Christ, the church, which is Christ’s fullness, His expression (Eph. 1:22-23), and which is also the habitation of God (Eph. 2:21-22; 1 Tim. 3:15) and the kingdom of God (Mat. 16:18-19; Rom. 14:17). Wow, Hallelujah!

We have been redeemed and saved by God so that we may enjoy the riches of the all-inclusive Christ who has been allotted to us as our rich portion, with the result that we are built to be the church as the house of God and the kingdom of God.

Christ is our allotted portion, and we need to enjoy Him together with the saints in the light.

To me, less than the least of all saints, was this grace given to announce to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ as the gospel. Eph. 3:8 For I know that for me this will turn out to salvation through your petition and [the] bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Phil. 1:19 In order that the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Gal. 3:14On the one hand, we have been rooted in Christ, the rich soil of the good land; on the other hand, we need to walk in Christ, taking possession of the all-inclusive Christ as our God-allotted portion. Praise the Lord!

Just as there was a battle in the Old Testament for the land, for the enemy came in many times to take over the land and usurp it, so today there is a battle for us to enjoy and partake of the good land, the all-inclusive Christ as our God-allotted portion.

May we see that the all-inclusive Christ as the life-giving Spirit has been allotted to us to be our portion, our divine inheritance (Col. 2:6-7; Gal. 3:14).

May we enter into the enjoyment and experience of this all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches so that we may be built up into the church as the Body of Christ and the kingdom of God.

The blessing of the promised land corresponds to the blessing of the Spirit.

The Spirit is the realization of Christ in our experience to be the reality of the good land.

The Spirit has a bountiful supply for us to partake of and enjoy in our spirit.

This Spirit is unlimited and bountiful. May we enjoy Him and partake of the unsearchable riches of Christ in spirit so that we may be built up in the church as the house of God, His habitation, and as the kingdom of God on the earth.

Lord Jesus, we come to enjoy You today. Thank You, Father God, for qualifying us for a share of the allotted portion of the saints in the light. Hallelujah, we believers in Christ are qualified to enjoy our allotted portion of the all-inclusive Christ in our spirit today. Amen, Lord, we exercise our spirit today to enjoy Your unsearchable riches. We exercise our right to partake of the riches of Christ in spirit today. Fill us with Yourself. Give us the experiences we need for us to be constituted with the riches of Christ until we become the fullness of God to be the Body of Christ as the habitation of God and the kingdom of God. Amen, Lord Jesus, we want to enjoy the unsearchable riches of Christ so that we may be built up to be the Body of Christ and the kingdom of God. Hallelujah, the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ is with our spirit today to impart into us the riches of Christ and make us the fullness of God, the church as the Body of Christ and the kingdom of God on the earth!

Enjoy our God-allotted Portion of Christ with the Saints in the Light Today

And this is the message which we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5

Col. 1:12 adds “in the light” to the statement that we are qualified to enjoy our God-allotted portion.

This means that there’s a specific realm or sphere in which we enjoy the all-inclusive Christ, and that realm is the light.

What is light, or who is light? According to the Bible, God is light (1 John 1:5).

God is the source of light, and He alone is light. Since Christ is one with God, Christ is light (John 8:12; 9:5).

When Christ came, light came; He came as a light to the world, for He was one with God and God was in Him.

Your word is a lamp to my feet / And a light to my path. Psa. 119:105 The opening of Your words gives light, / Imparting understanding to the simple. Psa. 119:130In other words, if we want to have light, we need to know that God is light, and if we want to know and receive God as light, we need to come to Christ, for Christ is the embodiment of God as the light.

Christ came to be light to the society, to the whole of mankind, in a definite way.

God is light, and He is embodied and shining through Christ, who is the expression of God as light.

John 1:4 says that, in Him was life and the life was the light of men. Wow.

So the life of Christ is light. Because the life of Christ is Christ Himself as life, when His life comes to us and reaches us, His light comes to us and reaches us. Amen!

When we enjoy Christ as life, we are filled with light, for the life of Christ is light.

When we enjoy Christ as life, we’re full of brightness within, for we have the Lord’s inner shining.

Not only God, Christ, and the life of Christ are light, but also the word of God is light.

Psa. 119:105 says that the Lord’s word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.

The opening of the Lord’s word gives light, imparting understanding to the simple (v. 130).

When we come to the word of God, we receive light, for the word of God contains the element of God, which is light.

When we turn our heart to the Lord and exercise our spirit in coming to the word of God, we receive the divine light.

The source of the Bible is God, who is light; the words of the Bible are the shining of light.

When we come to the word of God day by day, we can testify that the word shines on us as light.

Sometimes we may just read the Bible according to our daily Bible-reading schedule, and the Lord’s word shines on us.

We may have read that portion of the word many times, but there’s a new light, a new discovery in the word of God that shines on us and illuminates our inner being.

We all can testify that this has happened to us many times, for the word of God is light, shining on us and enlightening us.

Furthermore, as we read the word of God and internalize it by means of all prayer and petition, this word becomes a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.

In our daily living many times we want to do or say something, and the Lord’s inner speaking and shining within us does not agree with it, so we stop.

Many times we feel condemned and accused within because the Lord’s light shines on us through His living word in us and exposes our mistakes, failures, and sins.

So we confess our sins in the Lord’s light, and He is faithful to forgive us and righteous in the blood of Jesus to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7, 9).

As we enjoy God in Christ through His word and in His life as light, we ourselves as believers in Christ become light (Matt. 5:14).

The divine light saturates us and shines in us and through us, and we cannot remain hidden: we shine!

Our shining, however, is not with our own light but with God as light.

We are luminaries holding forth the word of life in the world (Phil. 2:15).

We are not light in itself; we hold the light, and we shine forth the Lord as light.

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. John 1:4 Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall by no means walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12 That you may be blameless and guileless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine as luminaries in the world. Phil. 2:15 ...The seven stars are the messengers of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches. Rev. 1:20God in Christ as the Spirit is the light within us, and we hold this light and shine this light forth.

Finally, in Rev. 1:20 we see that the church is the light, for the church is a lampstand holding forth God in Christ as the Spirit as the light.

The church is a lampstand shining with light (Rev. 1:20; Psa. 73:16-17).

If we want to receive God’s light, we need to come to God in Christ through the exercise of our spirit.

To enjoy God’s light, we need to exercise our spirit to contact God in His word, which is light.

Furthermore, when we meet with the saints, we receive and sense the divine light, for the saints are filled with light, and the church is a lampstand shining with light. Hallelujah!

The lamp is Christ with God in Him as the light (Rev. 21:23), and the church holds Christ as light. Praise the Lord!

Whenever we feel inside that we are in darkness, we need to realize that we need to come to God as the light.

We don’t need religious duties and practices; we don’t need any ordinance or routine.

What we need is to turn to the Lord and enjoy Him as light! In the light, we enjoy Christ as our God-allotted portion.

May we be in the light to enjoy the all-inclusive Christ with the saints!

Lord Jesus, bring us fully in the light so that we may enjoy the all-inclusive Christ as our God-allotted portion! Amen, Lord, we come to You, for You are the light of the world. Shine on us. Shine in us. Enlighten us from within. Infuse us with Yourself. May Your light shine in us and through us. We come to You in Your word to receive and enjoy Your shining. Amen, Lord, Your word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Open Your word to us and give us light. We come to You as simple and open persons who need God as light. May Your life within us shine and expose anything of the darkness. Oh Lord, make us light in the Lord! Make us the luminaries in the world, those who hold forth the word of life! May the church be filled with light by holding Christ as the light of the world! Shine in us and shine among us in the church! May we all partake of and enjoy the unsearchable riches of the all-inclusive Christ as our God-allotted portion together with the saints in the light!

God’s goal in His economy is not merely to redeem His people and save them from the world, typified by Egypt, but to bring them into Christ, typified by the good land, that they may possess Him and enjoy His unsearchable riches. By enjoying the riches of the land, the children of Israel were able to build up the temple to be God’s habitation on earth and the city of Jerusalem to establish God’s kingdom on earth. Likewise, by enjoying the unsearchable riches of Christ, the believers in Christ are built up to be Christ’s Body, the church, which is Christ’s fullness, His expression (Eph. 1:22-23), and which is also the habitation of God (Eph. 2:21-22; 1 Tim. 3:15) and the kingdom of God (Matt. 16:18-19; Rom. 14:17).

Christ, our portion, is to be enjoyed by us in the light. The Bible reveals that the light is related to God, the Word of God, Christ, the life of Christ, the believers, and the church. God alone is the source of light [cf. 1 John 1:5].

The Word of God, Christ, the life of Christ, the believers, and the church can all be light because they have God as their source. Psalm 119:105 says that the Word of God is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, and 119:130 says that the opening of God’s words gives light. The Word of God is light because it contains God…

The source of the Bible is God, and God is light. Therefore, the words of the Bible are the shining of light. God and Christ are one. Since God is light, Christ also is light. Christ is the light of the world in a very definite way. The world in John 9:5 denotes society, mankind.

Thus, Christ is the light not just in a general way but in a definite way as the light of society, of mankind. The life of Christ is also light (John 1:4)…When we receive Christ as life, this life becomes light in us, shining upon us and enlightening us from within.

The word of God is light. The life of Christ is light. We as believers are the light of the world, for we have God as light in us. And the church is the light.

We have God as our source. Therefore, we can be light just as God Himself is light.

As we lay hold of Christ and enjoy His unsearchable riches each day, we will remain under the shining of God as light and we will also be light to mankind.

We must beware of being distracted and led away from the enjoyment of Christ.

If we cease to enjoy Christ as life, the Spirit and the Word, we will return to darkness.

At best, our darkness will be covered by religiosity.

May we never cease to turn away from our own thoughts, and turn instead to the Lord of lords who is the true light of the world.

Amen! O Lord, keep us enjoying You as our riches.

The All-Inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches, is the alloted portion of the saints in the light just as the good land with its riches was the lot of the inheritance for the children of Israel.

We need to enjoy and experience this one as the bountiful supply of the Spirit for the building up of the church for the bringing in of God’s Kingdom even as the children of Israel partook of the riches of the good land for the building of the temple.

O Lord save us from religious duty in coming to Your word to be a light to our path, to enlighten us to make us luminaries to reflect You!

5/13/24 Experiencing and Enjoying the All-inclusive Christ as the Good Land – a Land in Which We Do Not Lack Anything

“Christ as the Preeminent and All-inclusive One is the Allotted Portion of the Saints in the Light for Our Experience and Enjoyment” (Part 1) The Reality of the Good Land Allotted among the Children of Israel in the Old Testament is the All-inclusive Christ, as the Life-giving Spirit, in the New Believers’ Spirit

Colossians 1:12 says, “Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you for a share of the allotted portion of the saints in the light;” In contrast to many Christians today, Paul did not give thanks for things such as healing, health, housing, family life, or a job. Rather, he gave thanks to the Father for qualifying us “for a share of the allotted portion of the saints in the light.” The book of Colossians concerns Christ, the Head of the Body. Hence, the allotted portion of the saints here is the all-inclusive Christ for their enjoyment.

The Greek word rendered “portion” in this verse corresponds to the Hebrew word used for the allotment of the good land. After the children of Israel had entered into the land of Canaan, each of the tribes was given an allotment of the land. Of course, our portion, our allotment, today is not a physical land in Palestine; it is the all-inclusive Christ. How we must thank the Father for giving us Christ as our divine allotment!

Each of the tribes had an allotment of the good land, and the members of each tribe had a share of this allotment. In the same principle, we have a share of the allotted portion of the saints. This means that we all have a share in Christ.

The riches of the good land in Deuteronomy 8:7-9 typify:

a.) the unsearchable riches of Christ in different aspects, according to Ephesians 3:8, and

b.) the bountiful supply to His believers in His Spirit, according to Phil 1:19).

It is by enjoying the riches of the All-inclusive Christ, typified by the good land, that the believers in Christ are built up to be the Body of Christ as the House of God and the Kingdom of God (Eph 1:22-23; 2:21-22; 1Tim 3:15; Mat 16:18-19; Rom 4:17). The more we enjoy the riches of Christ, the more we are infused with His divine life and nature. Thus, we become the enlargement of Christ to become the House of God and the Kingdom of God.

We can enjoy Christ, as our Portion, by being in the light. To be in the light is to be in:

a.) God because God is the Source of light (1John 1:5)

b.) the word of God because word of God is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psa 119:105); the opening of word of God gives light (Psa 119:130)

c.) Christ because Christ is the embodiment of God, Who is the Source of light (John 8:12; 9:5); Christ, as the Lamb of God for our redemption, is the Lamp of God, which shines forth God as light (John 8:12; Rev 21:23)

d.) the life of Christ because in Him was life, and the life is the light of men (John 1:4)

e.) the believers because Christ, Who embodies God as the Source of light, dwells in their spirits, causing them to shine as luminaries in the world (Mat 5:14; Phil 2:15)

f.) the church because the church is a lampstand shining with light (Rev 1:20; Psa 73:16-17)

In the entire universe, only God is the Source of light. When we believed and received the Lord Jesus as the divine life, we received Him as the embodiment of God Who is light, contained in the divine life. This causes us to become luminaries in the world to shine forth the divine life in the midst of crooked and perverted generation (Phil 2:15). The church today is the lampstand, the corporate expression, which is the enlarged shining forth of the divine life as light in the entire inhabited earth that men might see God and believe into Him.

“We thank You, Lord Jesus, for imparting Yourself as the divine life into us. In Your life, God is shining forth as light from within us in order for us to become luminaries in the world. In Your Word is also life; the more we enjoy Your Word, the more we are saturated with the divine life which would shines forth as light. We, the church, would eventually become the enlarged shining of the of the divine life. Amen.”

The life of Christ is also light (John 1:4)…𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐮𝐬, 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧.

Hallelujah!!!

God’s goal in His economy is not merely to redeem us and save us from the world, but to bring us into Christ, typified by the good land, that we may possess Him and enjoy His unsearchable riches.

By enjoying the riches of the land, the children of Israel were able to build up the temple to be God’s habitation on earth and the city of Jerusalem to establish God’s kingdom on earth.

Likewise, by enjoying the unsearchable riches of Christ we are built up to be Christ’s Body, the church, which is Christ’s fullness, His expression.

Thank You Father for qualifying us and for preparing, giving, and alloting Christ to us as the reality of the good land. Lord bring us into the light that we may enjoy His unsearchable riches. 🙏🙏🙏
