Having the Divine Reality Wrought into us to Become our Reality, Life, and Living

For the church as the expression of God, we must allow Christ as the life-giving Spirit to live in our inward parts and saturate them with Himself. The church life is nothing else but Christ Himself being enjoyed, realized, experienced, and expressed through the believers in Christ for God’s corporate expression. In order for the church life to be such a place, we need to have our soul subdued and saturated with Christ as the life-giving Spirit.

If we all live in our soul, there will be no church life; if we allow our mind, emotion, and will to take the lead in our fellowship and coordination together, Christ cannot have a corporate expression.

We need to cooperate with God by allowing Him to subdue our soul, especially our will. When our will has been subdued by God, we have the most important and complete union with God: the union of our will with God’s will.

Since the will governs our being, when our will is one with God’s will, He can do everything He wants in us and through us. The subduing of our will opens the way for the saturation of our soul with Christ as the life-giving Spirit.

If our will is not subdued, Christ has no way to saturate us with Himself. But if every part of our soul is subdued, Christ as the life-giving Spirit has access to our inward parts and can saturate them with Himself.

The first aspect of Christ saturating our inward parts is being constituted with the divine reality in our inward parts.

Apart from God and without the element of God in our inward parts, we are not genuine, real, and true. But God Himself is truth, Christ is the truth, and the Spirit as the Spirit of reality is mingled with our spirit to guide us into all the reality of what the Father and the Son is as reality.

We need to have the divine reality of the Triune God wrought into our being to the extent that it affects our daily living, making us God-men living out the divine reality.

The Apostle John was like this, testifying, “our love…in truthfulness”; he also appreciated the saints who walked in truth (see 3 John 1:3-4).

May we be those who enjoy the Triune God, experience the Triune God, and are filled with the Triune God as reality so that the divine reality would be wrought into our being to shape our life, our walk, and everything in our daily living.

The Spirit of Reality Guides us into All the Reality

But when He, the Spirit of reality, comes, He will guide you into all the reality; for He will not speak from Himself, but what He hears He will speak; and He will declare to you the things that are coming. John 16:13In order for the church to be the corporate expression of God, we all must allow Christ as the life-giving Spirit to not only save us in our spirit but also live in our inward parts and saturate them with Himself (see Gal. 2:20; 4:19; Eph. 3:16-17).

God’s salvation is not only for our spirit but for our whole being; we need to first be subdued in our soul by God and then we need to be saturated and permeated with Christ as the life-giving Spirit into all our inward parts.

God’s desire is to write His law of life into our inward parts (Jer. 31:33), that is, to saturate our inward being with Himself so that Christ would settle down in all our inward parts, making His home in our heart (Eph. 3:17).

God is truth: He is real, He is the reality, and only He is the truth in the universe; what God desires is truth in the inward parts (Psa. 51:6). The Lord wants that the divine reality – which is the Triune God Himself – would be wrought into our being to become reality in us.

For this, God Himself became a man who is the reality (John 14:6); Christ is the way, the truth, and the reality. Through His death and resurrection Christ became the life-giving Spirit, and in His resurrection He returned to us as the Spirit of reality to guide us into all the reality (John 16:13).

Now the Spirit of reality is mingled with our spirit and guides us into all the reality; this reality is what the Father has, what the Son has, and what the Spirit receives of the Son and of what the Father has. The Spirit’s full-time job right now is to guide us into all the divine reality by revealing to us what the Father is and what the Son is to us.

The Spirit of reality declares all that the Son is and has done to us, and the Spirit doesn’t speak from Himself but what He hears, He speaks to us.

As we are being guided by the Spirit of reality into all the divine reality, the Triune God as the divine reality is being wrought into us to be our enjoyment and experience.

The Lord’s subduing of our soul opens the way for Him to work the divine reality into our being for the saturation of all our inward parts with Himself.

Lord, we open to the Spirit’s guiding into all the reality of what the Father and the Son is. Saturate us with all that You are. O Lord, we open all the parts of our inner being to You: come in, have access to our inward parts, and saturate us with Yourself. May You be wrought more into our being today. Make the divine reality the essence of our being. Lord Jesus, make us real and true by working Yourself as the divine reality into us more and more!

The Divine Reality should become our Reality, Life, and Living

The Apostle John was so filled with the divine reality that he could declare, “whom I love in truthfulness” (3 John 1:1). The footnote in the Recovery Version Bible on this says,

The same as the Greek word for truth. According to John’s usage of this word, especially in his Gospel, here it denotes the revealed divine reality — the Triune God dispensed into man in the Son, Jesus Christ — becoming man’s genuineness and sincerity, that man may live a life that corresponds with the divine light (John 3:19-21) and worship God, as God seeks, according to what He is (John 4:23-24). This is the virtue of God (Rom. 3:7; 15:8) becoming our virtue, by which we love the believers (see note 6-6 point 7, in 1 John 1). In such genuineness the apostle John, who lived in the divine reality of the Trinity, loved the one to whom he wrote.

The divine reality should become our reality, life, and living, and this reality should be applied to our entire being in everything and in every way to become our reality in our daily walk. (Witness Lee, Life-study of 3 John)The divine reality needs to be come our reality, our life, and our living, and this reality should be applied to our entire being in everything and in every way to become our reality in our daily walk.

We need to walk in truth (3 John 1:4), that is, experience the Triune God becoming our enjoyment in reality and walking in the reality of the Triune God enjoyed by us.

We need to worship God in spirit and truthfulness (John 4:23-24), that is, the divine reality becoming our genuineness and sincerity for the true worship of God.

The divine reality is Christ Himself (who is the reality); He is the reality of all the offerings in the Old Testament for the worship of God, and He is the fountain of living water we can drink of Him, be filled with Him, and have the divine reality wrought into our being.

As we drink the Lord Jesus as the Spirit through the exercise of our spirit to believe into Him and receive Him, the divine reality is wrought into us to become our genuineness and sincerity in which we worship God and live our Christian life.

As the divine reality is being wrought into our inward parts to become our genuineness and sincerity, our whole living and being is affected; we will live, walk, and behave in the divine reality of the Triune God, who is our enjoyment.

In this way the divine reality which is now constituted into us is applied to our entire being and in everything and in every way to become our reality in our daily walk, and this enjoyment of the Triune God as reality shapes our walk and way of living.

May we be such ones who enjoy the Triune God as reality and have Him wrought into our being to become the inward divine reality which affects our daily living and walk.

May we be those who, no matter what time is it and where we are, live Christ as the divine reality wrought into them. Such people are not ready to “give others advice” or “answer others’ questions”; rather, they help others open to the Lord and be saturated with Him as the divine reality to live out the divine reality.

Lord Jesus, work Yourself into us until the divine reality becomes our reality, our life, and our living. Lord, make us real and genuine by working Yourself into us to become our sincerity and genuineness in which we worship God in the way He desires. May the Triune God as the truth be wrought into our being subjectively day by day until our daily walk and our whole being is affected. Lord Jesus, may the divine reality of the Triune God be our enjoyment, experience, and inward reality expressed in our walking in truth!

In John 16:13-15 the Lord says, “But when He, the Spirit of reality, comes, He will guide you into all the reality; for He will not speak from Himself, but what He hears He will speak; and He will declare to you the things that are coming. He will glorify Me, for He will receive of Mine and will declare it to you. All that the Father has is Mine; for this reason I have said that He receives of Mine and will declare it to you.” According to the context, “the reality” in John 16:13 refers to what the Father has, what the Son has, and what the Spirit receives of the Son and of the Father. What the Father has is a reality, what the Son has is a reality, and what the Spirit receives is also a reality. What the Father has becomes the Son’s, what the Son has is received by the Spirit, and what the Spirit receives is disclosed to us. The Father, the Son, the Spirit, and we, the believers, are all involved in this process. (The Conclusion of the New Testament, p. 2947, by Witness Lee)

Here is a new song to enjoy, based on the note posted above; hope you will sing unto the Lord!

tune: How Should The Lord/304
https://www.hymnal.net/en/hymn/h/304

The divine reality should become-
Our reality, life, and living, and-
This reality should be applied-
To our entire being in everything,
And in every way to become–
Our reality in our daily walk.
