We’re Designated the Sons of God by Growing in Life and being Metabolically Transformed

And do not be fashioned according to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind... Rom. 12:2

Praise the Lord, we believers in Christ are being designated the sons of God by growing in life and by being metabolically transformed into the image of Christ!

It is so amazing to realize that we, believers in Christ, are in the metabolic process of transformation to be designated the sons of God; this metabolic process is the building up of the church as the Body of Christ to fulfill the eternal economy of God and satisfy His heart’s desire.

We can cooperate with the Lord in His work in us and on us to designate us to be His sons by spending time with the Lord and by living according to the spirit.

Our Christian life is a daily learning to walk according to the spirit by enjoying and experiencing the designating Spirit.

The Spirit who designates us to be the sons of God lives in our spirit, and when we enjoy and experience this Spirit, we are in this process of designation.

May we follow the Lord’s pattern to spend time with the Lord in secret and pour out our heart to Him, even to enquire in His presence and say Amen to His speaking.

The Lord Jesus did not remain in the success of the miracles He performed but rather, He hurried the disciples to go and sent the crowds away so that He may spend time with the Father in secret.

He was a mysterious yet wonderful person who treasured not the success of His work but His time with the Father.

Sometimes the crowds would hail Him as king, at other times they wanted to crucify Him; He did not trust in them but trusted in the Father, taking the Father as His source and everything.

May we treasure our relationship and time with the Lord, and may we learn to pour out our heart before HIm, opening the innermost parts of our being to Him so that He may come in and saturate us with Himself.

We may be fainting or feel very afflicted, and we may think there’s nothing we can do or say to be lifted up; we simply need to open to the Lord and He will infuse us with the believing ability and the strength to go on.

Sometimes our best prayer to the Lord is our complaining before Him, for while we complain to Him and pour out our heart before Him, He is rejoicing, for He has a way to dispense Himself into us.

The more we open to the Lord and touch the Spirit, the more we are sanctified, transformed, and glorified to become God in life and in nature but NOT in the Godhead; this is for the building up of the church as the Body of Christ to consummate the New Jerusalem.

Hallelujah, He is doing this in us, and we simply cooperate with Him! He works in us, He is transforming us and conforming us to His image, and we simply need to cooperate with Him!

May we make this our prayer and have many short prayers throughout the day to cooperate with Him again and again in His designating work until we are made sons of God in full.

Being Designated the Sons of God by Growing in Life and being Metabolically Transformed

But we all with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit. 2 Cor. 3:18

The Lord Jesus went through death and entered into resurrection, and by resurrection, He was designated the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness (Rom. 1:3-4).

We as His continuation and duplication are also being designated the sons of God by resurrection. In this process of resurrection, there are four aspects: sanctification, transformation, conformation, and glorification.

We need to be transformed organically by the renewing of the mind; we shouldn’t be fashioned according to this age but be transformed by the renewing of our mind (Rom. 12:2).

As we behold the Lord face to face, we also reflect Him and are being transformed into the same image even as from the Lord Spirit (2 Cor. 3:18).

In Rom. 8:29 we are told that the Lord is conforming us to the image of Christ, the firstborn Son of God, so that He may be the firstborn among many brothers – He’s the firstborn, and we are the many sons, looking like Him!

Because those whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brothers; and those whom He predestinated, these He also called; and those whom He called, these He also justified; and those whom He justified, these He also glorified. Rom. 8:29-30Furthermore, those whom God foreknew, He also predestinated, and those whom He predestinated, He also called, justified, and also glorified (v. 30). Hallelujah!

Today we are being “sonized” – we are in the process of sonship, the process of being designated sons of God in full, and one day we will arrive at the glorification of our body.

The process of being designated sons of God will reach the peak at the time of our glorification when we shall fully be resurrected and designated sons of God in nature and in appearance.

Our whole being – spirit, soul, and body – will be saturated with the divine life and nature, and we will even look like HIm, for we will see Him even as He is.

The more we grow in life and pass through the metabolic process of transformation, the more we are being designated the sons of God (2 Cor. 3:18, 6, 16; 5:4, 9, 14-15; 1:12; 12:7-9). Amen!

This metabolic process of transformation in which we are right now is the building up of the church as the Body of Christ and the house of God by the building of God into man and of man into God (Rom. 12:2; Eph. 1:22-23; 2:20-22).

As we behold the Lord face to face in our time with Him, we are being transformed into His image; at the same time, God is building Himself into us and is building us into Himself.

He as the Spirit lives in our spirit and dwells in us; we can fellowship with Him in spirit and be metabolically transformed.

The more we look to the Lord, behold Him, and reflect Him, opening our spirit, our heart, and our mouth to Him, the more we will spontaneously reflect Him as a mirror and gradually be transformed into His glorious image from glory to glory (2 Cor. 3:18).

We are daily in a process of being transformed into the image of Christ, and this process is the building up of the church as the Body of Christ and the house of God.

Humanity is designated in divinity, and divinity and humanity are blended as one; as we are metabolically transformed, we are being designated the sons of God.

In and through resurrection Christ, the firstborn Son of God, became the life-giving Spirit (1 Cor. 15:45). As such a Spirit He enters into God’s chosen people to dispense, to build, Himself as life into their being to be their inner constitution. In this way He makes them God-men, the many sons of God (Heb. 2:10), the mass reproduction of Himself as the firstborn Son of God (Rom. 8:29; 1 John 3:2). Thus, they, the human seeds, become the sons of God with divinity through the metabolic process of transformation (see note Rom. 12:23c and note Rom. 12:24d). This metabolic process is the building up of the church as the Body of Christ and the house of God (Eph. 1:22-23; 2:20-22) by the building of God into man and man into God, i.e., by the constituting of the divine element into the human element and the human element into the divine element. This building will consummate in the New Jerusalem as a great, corporate God-man, the aggregate, the totality, of all the sons of God (Rev. 21:7). 2 Sam. 7:14, footnote 1, RcV BibleToday we, who are seeds of humanity, are becoming the sons of God in divinity through the process of God’s building of Himself into us and us into Himself (Matt. 16:18; Eph. 3:16-19; Rev. 21:2, 9-10).

This is God’s economy and goal according to His heart’s desires, that He would build Himself into man and to build man into Him.

This building is going on at the moment day by day as we open to Him and allow Him to build Himself into us, and the consummation of this building is the New Jerusalem as a great, corporate God-man, the totality of all the sons of God.

Praise the Lord, one day this process will be completed, and for eternity we will be the same as Christ in our spirit, our soul, and our body (see 1 John 3:2; Rom. 8:19, 23)!

Right now we are children of God but others can’t see it, but when Christ is manifested, we will be like Him, for we will see Him even as He is.

We are groaning in ourselves, and the whole creation is groaning for the manifestation of the sons of God; we are eagerly awaiting sonship, the redemption of our body.

We are eagerly awaiting for our soul to be transformed and even more, for our body to be transfigured, being delivered from the body of this death and be conformed to His glorious body!

Lord Jesus, cause us to grow in life and pass through the metabolic process of transformation so that we may be designated the sons of God! Amen, Lord, keep us in the process of being designated the sons of God by resurrection as we daily look to You, behold You, reflect You, and open to You all the parts of our inner being. Build Yourself into us and build us into Yourself. Make Your home in our heart for the building up of the church. Amen, Lord, carry out Your economy and accomplish the desire of Your heart by building Yourself into us and building us into Yourself for the building up of the church as the Body of Christ consummating in the New Jerusalem!

The Triune God was Incarnated to be a Man, and we are being Deified to be made God in Life and Nature

Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not yet been manifested what we will be. We know that if He is manifested, we will be like Him because we will see Him even as He is. 1 John 3:2 For the anxious watching of the creation eagerly awaits the revelation of the sons of God. Rom. 8:19 And not only [so,] but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan in ourselves, eagerly awaiting sonship, the redemption of our body. Rom. 8:23The highest truth in the Bible and the highest gospel is that, on His side, the Triune God has been incarnated to be a man, and on our side, we are being deified, constituted with the processed and consummated Triune God, so that we may be made God in life and nature but not in the Godhead to be His corporate expression for eternity.

This is the highest truth in the entire Bible, and it can be seen from Genesis to Revelation. In the Old Testament, we see many types and figures and pictures of how God wants to work Himself into man to be man’s life and everything.

From the very first chapters of Genesis we see the tree of life, God Himself as life, being put in front of man; however, man didn’t eat of this tree but was deceived to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Later we see how God promises a seed to Eve, which will bruise the serpent’s head (Gen. 3:15).

God also promised a seed to Abraham, in whom all the nations will be blessed.

The tabernacle and the temple were types of the house of God, the building of God, the dwelling place of God and man.

The manna was a type of the fact that man’s diet needs to be changed from worldly food to heavenly food so that God’s people would become a heavenly people.

The good land was a type of the all-inclusive Christ as our enjoyment and portion.

In 2 Sam. 7, as a response to David’s desire to build God a house, God told him that it is his son who will do this, and David’s seed will be called the Son of God. Wow!

A human seed becomes a divine Son of God.

In Isa. 9:6 we see that a child is born to us, a Son is given to us, and his name will be called, the eternal Father; this is a prophecy concerning the incarnation of the Triune God.

In the New Testament, we see the reality, for God Himself was incarnated to be a man; the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us, full of grace and reality, and the disciples beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten of the Father (John 1:14).

On God’s side, the Triune God has been incarnated to be a man; on our side, we are being deified, constituted with the processed and consummated Triune God so that we may be made God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead to be His corporate expression for eternity; this is the highest truth, and this is the highest gospel. 2021 Memorial day Conference, outline 6On His side, the Triune God was incarnated to be a man; then, He passed through the processes of human living, death, resurrection, and ascension, and this man Jesus was brought into God – He was divinized, He was sonized, to be the firstborn Son of God. Hallelujah!

In His resurrection and by resurrection, Christ was begotten by God in His humanity to be the firstborn Son of God, and we as the many brothers of Christ were also regenerated.

On our side, when we believe into the Lord Jesus, He comes into us as the divine life to regenerate us and make us children of God, those born not of the will of man but of God (John 1:12-13).

We are being deified as we are being metabolically transformed day by day.

We are daily being constituted with the processed and consummated Triune God as the Spirit to be made the same as He is in life and in nature but not in the Godhead for God to gain a corporate expression in man for eternity. Hallelujah!

We as human seeds become the many sons of God with divinity through the process of transformation; this process is the building up of the Body of Christ consummating in the New Jerusalem.

What a high gospel! What a high peak truth!

Hallelujah, the Triune God has been incarnated to be a man, lived a perfect human life, died an all-terminating death on the cross, and resurrected to become a life-giving Spirit and be begotten as the firstborn Son of God! Praise the Lord for the process that God went through to bring God into man so that man would be brought into God! Amen, Lord, keep us in the process of being metabolically transformed by being constituted with the processed and consummated Triune God so that we may be made God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead to be Your corporate expression for eternity! Amen, hallelujah for this high truth, this highest gospel!
