We can Continually enjoy the All-inclusive Christ as our Inheritance in our Spirit

In whom also we were designated as an inheritance, having been predestinated according to the purpose of the One who works all things according to the counsel of His will. Eph. 1:11

The all-inclusive Christ is our inheritance; we have been saved, forgiven of our sins, and transferred into Christ as the realm of life and light, and we were given an inheritance among those sanctified by faith in Christ – Christ is our inheritance and we’re becoming God’s inheritance! Hallelujah!

The Father qualified us, the believers in Christ, to enjoy the all-inclusive Christ as our allotted portion; He didn’t give us Christ for us to enjoy, but He specifically allotted a portion of Christ to each one of us.

To each a measure was given, for we all have a measure of faith, and a gift was given according to our measure.

Some saints may have a greater measure of Christ – they may enjoy Christ to a greater extent, experience Christ to a higher degree, and have a larger portion of Christ to minister to and in the Body of Christ.

Others, however, may have a smaller portion of Christ, and they may not function to a great extent in the Body.

We all, however, have a portion of Christ, and we all need to seek the Lord and enjoy Him, even ask Him to enlarge our portion of Christ and increase our capacity.

Our borders need to be enlarged and our capacity needs to be increased because there is so much more Christ to be enjoyed and partaken of!

He has been given to us as our portion, our lot; just as the good land was allotted to each and every tribe, each and every family, and even to individuals, so we as members of the Body have our own portion of Christ.

And this portion is so rich, so wonderful, and so all-inclusive! Just as the good land provided everything to the children of Israel for their living, existence, work, and service to God, being the all-inclusive portion for their enjoyment and work, so Christ is all that we need. He is the preeminent One, the Firstborn from among the dead, the One in whom all the fullness was pleased to dwell, and the image of the invisible God and the firstborn of all creation.

He is all-inclusive and extensive, and everything we ever need, He is.

We have received Him, we have been rooted in Him, and we now absorb the riches of Christ; we absorb Him in our time with Him, in our fellowship with Him both personally and corporately.

As we open to the Lord, as we receive of His riches, we are infused with Him, His element is wrought into us, and we are constituted with something eternal, something of the Triune God; then, when we meet others, we can minister this Christ to them.

In this Christ is the element that kills, eradicates, the ordinances and philosophies and culture that creeps in and pervades the church life.

Everything we need is in Christ, and this all-inclusive One is our portion for our enjoyment. He was processed and consummated to be the all-inclusive, life-giving Spirit, and as such a One He is the bountiful supply for us to partake of and live Christ, express Christ, and build up the church as the Body of Christ.

The Triune God embodied in the All-inclusive Christ is our Inheritance for our Enjoyment

To open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me. Acts 26:18Acts 26:18 refers to the all-inclusive Christ as our inheritance; Paul was called by God and commissioned by Him to open others’ eyes, turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance. Hallelujah!

When we believed into the Lord Jesus, our eyes were opened; we realized that we lived in sin and under condemnation, and by His mercy, we turned from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God.

When we were baptized, we were transferred out of the kingdom of darkness and of death into the kingdom of light and life, the kingdom of the Son of God’s love. Hallelujah!

Such a transfer is typified by the people of Israel escaping Egypt and its usurpation.

When we believed into the Lord and had such a turn to Him, we received the forgiveness of sins; this is the reality of the Passover in the Old Testament.

We did not only receive forgiveness of sins but also an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Christ.

As the result of having our eyes opened and of being transferred from the authority of Satan to God, we not only have the forgiveness of sins but also receive a divine inheritance.

What is this inheritance, which all believers in Christ have received?

This inheritance is the Triune God Himself with all that He has, all that He has done, and that He will do for us, His redeemed people.

This Triune God is embodied in the all-inclusive Christ, who is the portion allotted to the saints as their inheritance (Col. 1:13; 2:9).

All that God is, all that He has, all that He has done, all that He is doing, and all that He will do – all these are included in the inheritance.

The Triune God embodied in the all-inclusive Christ is our inheritance for our enjoyment.

In whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the gospel of your salvation, in Him also believing, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of the promise, Who is the pledge of our inheritance, unto the redemption of the acquired possession, to the praise of His glory. Eph. 1:13-14 And not only so, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan in ourselves, eagerly awaiting sonship, the redemption of our body. Rom. 8:23And this Triune God is realized today as the Spirit, who is the pledge of our inheritance, the foretaste and sample of what we will enjoy in full for eternity.

When we believed into the Lord, we were sealed with the Holy Spirit to show that we belong to God as His inheritance, and we were given the Spirit as the pledge of our inheritance to make sure that we enjoy the all-inclusive Christ as our inheritance (Rom. 8:23; Eph. 1:13-14).

Today we enjoy just a foretaste of the full taste; we have a sample, a foretaste of the Triune God embodied in the all-inclusive Christ and realized as the life-giving Spirit for our enjoyment and experience.

The good land is a type of the all-inclusive Christ, and the allotting of the good land is a type of all believers in Christ receiving a portion, a “lot” of Christ, for their inheritance and enjoyment.

It is amazing to realize that, at the time of our regeneration, God sealed us with the Holy Spirit, marking us and designating us to be God’s inheritance, and now we have a living seal on us to show to everyone that we don’t belong to ourselves but to God (Eph. 1:11).

At the same time, the Holy Spirit has been given to us as a pledge of our inheritance, for us to enjoy all that God is.

We truly are blessed people, very rich in the spiritual blessings, and we should simply enjoy our inheritance, for the Triune God embodied in the all-inclusive Christ is our inheritance for us to enjoy today and participate in for eternity! Hallelujah!

Hallelujah, our eyes have been opened and we have been transferred from the authority of Satan to God so that we may receive forgiveness of sins and a divine inheritance! Praise the Lord, the Triune God embodied in the all-inclusive Christ is our inheritance for our enjoyment today and for our participation for eternity! Amen, Lord, we praise You for sealing us with the Holy Spirit to make us God’s inheritance, and thank You for giving us the Holy Spirit as the pledge of our inheritance! We come to You, dear Lord, to enjoy You as our inheritance today. We want to enter into the enjoyment and possession of our divine inheritance by enjoying and experiencing the all-inclusive Christ as our inheritance!

Christ as our Divine Inheritance is kept in the Heavens and Continually Transmitted into our Spirit for our Enjoyment

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has regenerated us unto a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, Unto an inheritance, incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, kept in the heavens for you. 1 Pet. 1:3-4Our salvation is not so simple – it is so wonderful, so rich in meaning, and so amazing in its implications.

On one hand, we were saved from sin and condemnation, and we were transferred out of the kingdom of Satan into the kingdom of God.

On the other hand, we were given an inheritance among those sanctified by faith in Christ; God the Father qualified us to enjoy our allotted portion of Christ (Acts 26:18; Col. 1:12-13).

When we believed into the Lord, God sealed us with the Holy Spirit; He marked us with the Holy Spirit as a living seal to designate us as God’s inheritance (Eph. 1:11).

The Holy Spirit as a living seal has been put into us to indicate that we belong to God.

The Spirit bears God’s image and causes us to be conformed to the image of Christ, making us like God to be God’s inheritance.

Furthermore, God has become our inheritance, for the Holy Spirit has been given to us as a pledge of this inheritance.

The Holy Spirit is not only a guarantee of our inheritance, securing our heritage, but He is also a foretaste of what we will inherit of God.

In ancient times the Greek word for “pledge” was used in the purchasing of land; the seller gave the purchaser some soil as a sample from the land.

The Holy Spirit has been given to us as a sample, a foretaste, of what we will inherit of God in full. Hallelujah!

And this inheritance, this divine inheritance given to us through our regeneration, is glorious and wonderful; it is even more wonderful than the good land promised to the children of Israel in the Old Testament.

The all-inclusive Christ as our inheritance as seen in 1 Pet. 1:4 comprises the coming salvation of our souls (vv. 5, 9), the grace to be revealed at the unveiling of the Lord (v. 13), the glory to be revealed (5:1), the unfading crown of glory (v. 4), and the eternal weight of glory (v. 10).

All these are related to the divine life which we received through regeneration; we enjoy and participate in and experience this divine life throughout our entire Christian life.

The children of Israel were promised a good land, but we as believers in Christ have received the divine inheritance, the Triune God embodied in the all-inclusive Christ realized as the life-giving Spirit to be our enjoyment and experience today.

Through our second birth, regeneration, we have been born into a new inheritance. According to 1 Peter 1:4, this inheritance is not on earth; rather, it is kept in the heavens. Although this inheritance is kept for us in the heavens, we can enjoy it now on earth. Our heavenly, divine, spiritual inheritance is kept in the heavens; yet it is continually being transmitted into our spirit for our enjoyment. Witness Lee, The Conclusion of the New Testament, p. 1090If we compare Gal. 3:18, 1 Cor. 6;9, Eph. 5:5, and Heb. 9:15, we will see that we, the sonship of the regenerate, have a higher inheritance than the children of Israel, for we have the promise of the Spirit. Hallelujah!

Every believer in Christ is born into a new inheritance – not a physical inheritance but a spiritual one.

Our inheritance is not on the earth but it is kept in the heavens. It is the all-inclusive Christ as the reality of the good land to be enjoyed and experienced by us in full.

But even though this inheritance is kept for us in the heavens, we can enjoy it now on earth! Amen!

How can we enjoy it? It is not merely by understanding what it is and reading about it; it is by exercising our spirit.

The all-inclusive Christ is our inheritance for us to enjoy in our spirit. Our divine inheritance, which is kept for us in the heavens, is continually being transmitted into our spirit for our enjoyment.

The more we exercise our spirit, turn to our spirit, and walk in the spirit, the more we enjoy our divine inheritance.

The more we contact the Lord in spirit and live in spirit, the more this divine inheritance is wrought into us and experienced by us with the result that we become God’s inheritance. Hallelujah!

Lord Jesus, thank You for becoming our divine inheritance for our enjoyment and experience today. Thank You for coming to us as the Spirit to be our portion, our allotment, our inheritance. Hallelujah, we will enjoy the coming salvation of our souls, the grace to be revealed at the unveiling of the Lord, the glory to be revealed, the unfading crown of glory, and the eternal glory! What a rich inheritance we have been given by God for us to enjoy in our spirit! Hallelujah, our divine inheritance is kept for us in the heavens, but we can enjoy it now on earth in our spirit! Praise the Lord, our divine inheritance is being transmitted continually to us in our spirit for our enjoyment! Amen, Lord, we exercise our spirit to enjoy the all-inclusive Christ as our inheritance today!
