The Compound Anointing Spirit and the Lord Spirit for our Transformation for the Body

And you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know. 1 John 2:20

The life-giving Spirit with our spirit is the compound anointing Spirit as the anointing to anoint and seal us for the impartation and application of all that God is to our being, and He is the Lord Spirit for our metabolic transformation and for the growth and building up of the Body of Christ. Oh, what a Spirit!

Our Christian life is altogether a matter of the Spirit with our spirit. Our normal Christian life depends on our knowing and experiencing the Spirit.

If we do not know the Spirit, the pneumatic Christ, we cannot experience and know anything of God in His economy. Oh, Lord Jesus!

God created all things, but He has a heart’s desire; He doesn’t delight in the universe or even on the earth – He wants to be mingled with man, joined with man, so that God and man, man and God, would be completely one for eternity.

But how can God, who is almighty, self-existing, ever-existing, dwelling in unapproachable light, holy, righteous, and glorious, be related to man, who is sinful, finite, fallen, earthly, and rebellious against God?

God had to do something. God in His economy became a man.

Wow, the infinite, almighty, all-powerful God was willing to become a man to be limited and become finite.

God became something; in His economy, God became man, that is, the Word became flesh. He dwelt among us as a man, full of grace and reality; He had the flesh of sin but did not have the sin in the flesh.

After thirty-three and a half years, He was crucified to be the Redeemer and accomplish the wonderful redemption, and after being buried for three days, He arose and was resurrected to become a life-giving Spirit.

This is His second becoming: through death and resurrection, Christ became a life-giving Spirit.

Now the Lord is not just a Man in the flesh; He has been transfigured, transformed, to become the Spirit.

2 Cor. 3:17 says, Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Our Christian life is fully wrapped up with Christ being the Spirit, for only the Spirit with our spirit can live the Christian life.

For us to have a normal Christian life, we need to know the pneumatic Christ – Christ as the Spirit, and we need to experience the Spirit as the compound Spirit, the anointing Spirit, the transforming Spirit, and the all-inclusive, life-giving Spirit.

The only way we can be a Christian is by being in our mingled spirit to enjoy the wonderful Spirit in us, for the Spirit testifies of Christ, makes Christ real to us, gives us life, and reveals to us the depths of God as we remain one spirit with Him (1 John 5:6; John 16:13; 1 Cor. 15:45b; 2:10; 6:17).

May we be those who remain in our mingled spirit today so that we may know God, enjoy all that God is, be anointed with God, experience God, live God, and express God.

Enjoy the Life-giving Spirit as the Compound Anointing Spirit to be Anointed and Sealed with all that God is!

And as for you, the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone teach you; but as His anointing teaches you concerning all things and is true and is not a lie, and even as it has taught you, abide in Him. 1 John 2:27

One aspect of the life-giving Spirit is that He is the compound Spirit, typified by the compound anointing ointment with its ingredients in Exo. 30:23-25.

The Bible is truly an amazing book, speaking of the same thing from beginning to end – God’s intention in His economy to be one with man, even to become man to make man the same as He is in life and nature but not in the Godhead.

In the Old Testament God ordained that a particular anointing ointment be made according to the art of the compounder, and this anointing ointment is a type of the compound Spirit, whom Christ became in His resurrection.

This anointing ointment is in our spirit today, for we have an anointing from the Holy One, and we all know (1 John 2:20, 27). Hallelujah!

Many Christians look at Christ’s incarnation and human living, at His crucifixion and resurrection, and they think that wow, these are wonderful things, but they cannot experience them.

The key to experiencing all that Christ is, all that He has, all He passed through, and all He has achieved is the compound Spirit.

As He passed through all these processes and became the Spirit in His resurrection, all these processes and elements with their effectiveness have been compounded in the Spirit.

The incarnation of Christ, His human living, His death with its effectiveness, and His resurrection with its power and effectiveness, all these have been compounded with the Spirit and the humanity of Christ in the compound Spirit.

The compound anointing Spirit is compounded with the unique God as the base, the divinity of Christ (signified by the one hin of olive oil), the Divine Trinity (typified by the three units of five hundred shekels of spices), Christ’s humanity (typified by the four spices), Christ’s death with its killing effectiveness (typified by myrrh and cinnamon), and Christ’s resurrection and its repelling power (typified by calamus and cassia).

All these elements with their measurements in the holy anointing oil in Exo. 30 are a type of the compound Spirit who anoints us today.

In whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the gospel of your salvation, in Him also believing, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of the promise. Eph. 1:13 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed unto the day of redemption. Eph. 4:30 He who has also sealed us and given the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge. 2 Cor. 1:22How can we experience the death of Christ? The death of Christ with its sweetness and effectiveness is in the compound Spirit who is with our spirit.

How can we experience and enjoy Christ’s resurrection and His resurrection power? It is all in the Spirit, the compound Spirit with our spirit.

All that Christ is, all He has, all He has done, and all the processes He passed through and His achievements, everything has been compounded together to create an ointment for the anointing of all the saints and everything related to the worship of God (2 Cor. 1:21; 1 John 2:20, 27).

We all have been anointed!

Eph. 1:13 says that we have been sealed with the Holy Spirit; this sealing is the anointing, and we have not just been sealed once and for all but we’re continually being sealed!

The compound anointing Spirit operates as the Holy Spirit to seal us, the believers in Christ (Eph. 1:13; 4:30; 2 Cor. 1:22).

There is a living seal on all of us today, and we are continually and constantly being sealed, anointed, with all that the compound anointing Spirit is and has.

We can apply this daily to our experience by praying to open to the Lord and asking Him to seal us, anoint us, and add all that He is into us.

As we open to the Lord in all our situations and in the environment He has placed us, asking Him to anoint us more every day, He applies what He is and what He has accomplished to our being for us to not only enjoy what He is but also be constituted with Him. Hallelujah!

How wonderful it is to see, enjoy, and experience Christ as the life-giving Spirit – the compound anointing Spirit with our spirit today, in all the things of our daily living!

Lord Jesus, we want to enjoy and experience the life-giving Spirit as the compound anointing ointment in our spirit! Hallelujah, we all have been anointed with the Spirit, and we all have the anointing! Praise the Lord, the anointing is in us, and we all know! Amen, Lord, anoint us more today! Seal us not just once but seal us all the time! Saturate us with all that You are. We need Your sealing, Lord; we need Your saturating! Saturate us with Your divinity and with Your humanity. Apply all that You are, all that You have passed through and achieved, to our being. May we know and experience Christ’s humanity, human living, death with its effectiveness, and resurrection with its power in the compound anointing Spirit! Hallelujah for the compound anointing Spirit with our spirit! Oh Lord, keep anointing us today. Keep adding Yourself to us. Keep our being open to You. We want to turn to You again and again so that You may apply all that You are to our being for our transformation and growth in life!

Enjoy the Life-giving Spirit as the Lord Spirit for our Metabolic Transformation for the Body

But we all with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit. 2 Cor. 3:18

Everything that God is can be seen by us in Christ, and everything that Christ is and has accomplished can be realized by us in the Spirit.

The life-giving Spirit today is with our spirit, and the Lord as the Spirit is with our spirit (2 Tim. 4:22). Hallelujah!

One aspect of the life-giving Spirit is that He is the Lord Spirit for our transformation.

The life-giving Spirit is the Lord Spirit, the pneumatic Christ, for us as believers in Christ to be transformed and built up for the Body of Christ.

2 Cor. 3:17-18 tells us that the Lord is the Spirit, and as we behold the Lord face to face, we are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit. Hallelujah!

As we enjoy the compound anointing Spirit adding all that God is to our being, we are being transformed.

There is an inner, organic process going on in our being called transformation in which the old element is being removed and the new element of God is being added to our being.

The Lord Spirit is in our spirit and, by our beholding and reflecting the Lord, we believers are being metabolically transformed for the growth and building up of the Body of Christ (2 Cor. 3:17-18; 1 Cor. 3:6, 9b, 12a; Eph. 4:16b).

The Lord Spirit is a compound title composed of the Lord and the Spirit; it refers to the pneumatic Christ, the Lord Jesus as the Spirit.

Christ today is the Spirit; Christ is not separate from the Spirit, for the Lord Spirit is Christ as the Spirit.

Christ today is the Lord Spirit for our transformation so that we may be transformed from the old creation, from our natural man, to the image of Christ.

Even though we are regenerated and have God’s life in us, so many times we still bear our image, expressing ourselves.

Yes, Christ lives in us, but we still express ourselves.

However, as we behold and reflect the Lord Jesus, we are being transformed into the same image as Christ from one degree of glory to another degree of glory.

When we turn to our spirit, contact the Lord, and open to Him, the Lord Spirit operates in us to transform us.

I planted, Apollos watered, but God caused the growth...For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's cultivated land, God's building...But if anyone builds upon the foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, stubble. 1 Cor. 3:6, 9b, 12He transforms us from a natural man into the image of Christ so that we no longer express ourselves but express the Lord Jesus.

On the positive side, we are being conformed to the image of Christ by the addition of the divine element, for the compound anointing Spirit adds the element of God to our being.

On the negative side, the Lord Spirit operates in our environment and through many persons and things to break down all that is of our natural element so that we may be transformed and made fit for God’s building.

On one hand, by our beholding and reflecting the Lord, we are transformed into His image by the addition of His element to our being.

On the other hand, the Lord Spirit operates to tear down what is of our natural man and remove anything natural in us so that, by the removal of the old element and the addition of the new element, Christ would be formed in us and we would be transformed into His image. Praise the Lord!

All this is for the growth and building up of the Body of Christ!

We are transformed into the Lord’s image by the Lord Spirit not so that we may become individual shining Christians but so that the Lord may gain a Body, a corporate group of believers in Christ who bear His image to be part of His corporate expression. Hallelujah!

By means of this organic process going on in our being, we are renewed in our mind, our emotions are balanced and subdued, and we are transformed into the image of Christ to look like Him, think like Him, speak like Him, and express Him in every possible way.

And corporately we are built up together into the Body of Christ to be His corporate expression, His manifestation on the earth. Hallelujah!

Lord Jesus, we open to You as the Lord Spirit in our spirit to be transformed into the image of Christ. Amen, Lord, we want to behold You and reflect You today so that we may become the same as You are in Your image! Thank You for being the pneumatic Christ, Christ as the Spirit in our spirit, for us to be metabolically transformed for the growth and building up of the Body of Christ. Transform us more today. Keep us beholding You with an unveiled face so that we may reflect You. Oh Lord, we open to You. Unveil us to see Your wonderful face so that we may also reflect You and be transformed in Your image. May we remain in the metabolic process of being transformed into the image of Christ from glory to glory! We open to Your operation in us and around us to tear down and break the natural man so that the inner man may be renewed and we would be transformed into Your image! Amen, Lord, gain Your corporate expression in us and among us!

The compound anointing Spirit also mingles the humanity of Christ, typified by the four spices. …The Spirit mingles the death of Christ with its killing efficacy, typified by myrrh and cinnamon. (23a.)…Christ’s resurrection and his expulsive power, typified by calamus and cinnamon (23b-24a), are also elements of the compound anointing Spirit. Calamus is a kind of reed that grows upward from the swamp or muddy ground, so it symbolizes the rise of the Lord Jesus from the place of death. Cinnamon was used in ancient times as a repellent to repel insects and snakes, thus signifying the expulsion power of Christ’s resurrection. All the above elements are mixed together to create an anointing oil for anointing all people and things related to the worship of God. (25-30, 2 Corinthians 1:21, 1 John 2:20, 27). In the New Testament, we see the compound anointing Spirit acting as the Holy Spirit to seal the believers in Christ. (Ephesians 1:13, 4:30b, 2 Corinthians 1:22a.) To seal means to blot out. …The Spirit is the living seal, saturating us with the divine element. We must pray, “Lord, please don’t seal me just once, but saturate me continuously. I need your sealing, I need your soaking. ’ When we live by the Spirit, we feel that something is saturating us within us, and that saturation is the continuous sealing. This sealing imparts the divine element of the processed Triune God into believers and saturates them with this element. This sealing also transforms believers into God’s inheritance. (Ephesians 1:11).

The anointing is the moving and working of the indwelling compound Spirit, who is fully typified by the anointing oil, the compound ointment, in Exo. 30:23-25 (see Life-study of Exodus, Messages 157-166, and note Phil. 1:19 note 4d). This all-inclusive life-giving Spirit from the Holy One entered into us at the time of our regeneration and abides in us forever (v. 27); by Him the young children know the Father (v. 13) and know the truth (v. 21).

Dear brother, the Spirit with our spirit is the compound Spirit, the anointing ointment, who seals us by anointing us with all that God is and all that Christ has accomplished.

We need to open to the Lord and ask Him to seal us and anoint us more with Himself so that all the elements in the anointing would be applied to us in our experience.

Furthermore, this Spirit is for our transformation and for the growth and building up of the Body.

Lord, anoint us more today! Continually seal us to apply all that You are to our being! Transform us! Grow in us for the building up of the Body of Christ!

Ameeen!!!

Without Christ being the life-giving Spirit, we cannot experience anything of God in His economy.

The Spirit today is not that simple. He is a compounded Spirit! The Spirit is compounded with the divine Trinity, divinity, humanity, death, the effectiveness of the Lord’s death, and the preciousness and power of resurrection.

Our normal Christian life depends upon our knowing and experiencing the Spirit.
The life-giving Spirit is the Lord Spirit, the pneumatic Christ, for our continuous sealing and metabolic transformation for the growth and building up of the Body of Christ.

O Lord, You are the Spirit!

How dear and near to us.

How we enjoy You today.

Saturate us and transform us.

Gain Your building in us.

Praise the Lord for the wonderful Spirit in us.

The normal Christian life depends upon our knowing & experiencing the Spirit.

The death & resurrection of Christ are only in the Spirit.

The ointment that we see in Exo 30:23-24 is the Holy Spirit which works within the New Testament believers to “seal” them.

Sealing is anointing and this anointing is for our transformation into the image of Christ, from one degree of glory to a higher degree.

Such a transformation occurs chiefly by the renewing of the mind for the growth and edification of the Body of Christ.

Truly the Spirit is doing an awesome work in us, as long as we see and cooperate with His inner operating work…

Exo. 30:23-24 You also take the finest spices: of flowing myrrh five hundred shekels, and of fragrant cinnamon half as much, two hundred fifty shekels, and of fragrant calamus two hundred fifty shekels, and of cassia five hundred shekels,…and a hin of olive oil.

1 John 2:20 And you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know.

Praise the Lord! 🙌🙋🏼
