Christ Rose from the Dead on the First day of the Week to Germinate the New Creation

So then if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, they have become new. 2 Cor. 5:17

One of the most wonderful aspects of Christ’s work is His rising on the first day of the week to germinate the new creation; the old creation was put to death and terminated in Christ, and now we as believers in Christ are a new creation in resurrection. Praise the Lord!

The Lord’s resurrection is truly amazing, and the things He accomplished in His resurrection are astounding.

One of the most amazing things that happened in the Lord’s resurrection was Him being raised by God in His humanity and He raising Himself up from the dead in His divinity, and Him bringing His humanity into His divinity. Wow!

The Lord Jesus Christ was the first God-man; He was both God and man.

On one hand, He had the human nature like us, yet without sin; on the other hand, He had the divine nature, and God lived and moved in Him.

So when He died on the cross, not only did man die, but God in man died also; God cannot die, but when God is joined to man, man died, and God went with Him in death.

Then, God in man, man in God, took a tour of death and Hades, and on the third day, He resurrected, as was prophecied concerning Him.

Death could not hold Him. He loosed the pangs of death, for death could not hold the Lord of life, the One who has the power of an indestructible life.

And in resurrection not only God rose up but even man was resurrected.

In Jesus Christ both God and man were mingled, and both God and man were raised up; now there is a God-man, a Man-God, on the throne in the heaven, exalted far above all things. Hallelujah!

Our God is not just the Creator of the universe, the One who is the source of all things and holds all things by the word of His power; our God is a God-man, Jesus Christ, who went through a process to become the Firstborn Son of God in His humanity and our Elder Brother in the Lord. Praise the Lord!

God was brought into man by His incarnation, and man was brought into God by His resurrection. Hallelujah!

We will never understand in full what this means, for we are human, limited, and finite, but the infinite God chose to become a finite man and mingle Himself with man.

We believers in Christ are truly mysterious and mystical persons; on one hand, we are human beings of flesh and blood, and on the other hand, we are divine, having God as our life and nature. Wow!

God is being mingled with man and man is being mingled with God. God was brought into man and man is being brought into God. Praise the Lord!

In His Resurrection, Christ Rose on the First day of the Week to Germinate the New Creation

For neither is circumcision anything nor uncircumcision, but a new creation is what matters. Gal. 6:15 Who were begotten not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:13Another aspect of Christ’s work in His resurrection is His rising on the first day of the week to germinate the new creation (2 Cor. 5:17). Hallelujah!

The Lord Jesus was resurrected not on the last day or the third day of the week but on the first day of the week; this is very significant (John 20:1).

The fact that He was raised from the dead on the first day of the week means that there’s a new beginning. In the Bible, the first day of the week is also called the eighth day (v. 26).

The Lord Jesus died during one week and was resurrected at the beginning of another week; His resurrection was a new start, opening the way to a new generation and a new age!

In His work of creation in Gen. 1-2, God created for six days and rested on the seventh; these seven days were the generation of the old creation.

By the Lord’s resurrection, another generation was newly started; He terminated the old creation and began a new creation, even germinating a new creation!

By the Lord’s resurrection, the old creation was put away and the new creation was brought in.

Now if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away – behold, they have become new! Praise the Lord!

The first day of the week signifies the beginning of a new creation, a new generation, a new age.

When the Lord resurrected, a new age came in; we are now in the age of the Lord’s resurrection, and we are part of a new generation, a new creation! Praise the Lord.

The fact that Christ arose on the first day of the week indicates that the entire universe has a new beginning in Christ’s resurrection (see John 20:1-9).

He is the firstborn of all creation, and He is also the firstborn in the new creation.

When Christ arose from the dead in resurrection, He did not represent only Himself but He brought the entire creation with Him to give it a new beginning. Praise the Lord!

When the Lord Jesus died, He brought the old creation with Him, terminated it, and then germinated it with His life.

In His resurrection, Christ brought forth a new creation and ushered in a new period, a new age! Praise the Lord!

That everyone who believes into Him may have eternal life. John 3:15 Through which He has granted to us precious and exceedingly great promises that through these you might become partakers of the divine nature... 2 Pet. 1:4In God’s eyes, the entire old creation was crucified with Christ and buried with Him, and in the Lord’s resurrection on the first day of the week, a new creation was germinated and brought forth! Praise the Lord!

Now God has a new way in a new age with a new creation to carry out His economy and eternal purpose! Praise the Lord!

Through His death, Christ terminated the old creation; through His resurrection, He germinated the new creation.

All this happened on the eighth day of the week, the first day of the week, also called, the Lord’s Day.

This is why we today do not keep the Sabbath but the Lord’s day; we meet not on the Sabbath day but on the Lord’s day, the first day of the week.

We are no longer in and of the old creation; we are now in the new age, in the new creation, and we meet with the Lord on the Lord’s day (Rev. 1:10).

We keep this not as an outward sign, something that we do as a routine or a tradition; rather, we are a new creation in resurrection, for we have been germinated by Christ in resurrection to be part of a new age!

We are now in Christ, and therefore we are a new creation. Praise the Lord!

Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the first day of the week to germinate the new creation!

Lord Jesus, we praise You for Your resurrection! Praise You for not only terminating the negative things through Your death on the cross but even more, germinating the new creation in resurrection! Hallelujah, we believers in Christ are a new creation in the resurrection of Christ, for we have been begotten of God with His life to be part of the new creation! Wow, Lord, we are no longer the old creation: we have been terminated, the old creation has been buried, and we are now a new creation in Christ! Hallelujah, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation! Praise the Lord, the old things have passed away and the old creation has been terminated: behold, everything has become new! Thank You, Lord, for germinating us with Your life so that we become a new creation, the church as the Body of Christ. We want to live in and by Your resurrection life today. We want to live as a new creation in resurrection. Hallelujah, the Lord Jesus resurrected on the first day of the week to germinate the new creation in resurrection, and we today are a new creation in Christ!

Christ’s Death Terminated the Old Creation; His Resurrection Germinated the New Creation

Therefore they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as is the custom of the Jews for burying. John 19:40 And stooping to look in, he saw the linen cloths lying [there;] however, he did not enter. Then Simon Peter also came, following him, and entered into the tomb; and he beheld the linen cloths lying [there] And the handkerchief which had been over His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded up in one place apart. John 20:5-7After the Lord Jesus died on the cross, He was buried and was clothed and bound in linen and the handkerchief.

When He resurrected to germinate a new creation, He left the old creation in the tomb, signified by Him leaving the linen cloths and the handkerchief in the tomb (see John 20:5-7). Hallelujah!

Before the physical body of Jesus was buried, it was bound in linen (19:40); this indicates that He went into the tomb with the old creation and left it there, in death.

Praise the Lord, Christ’s death terminated the old creation and His burial buried it!

Then, in His resurrection, He rose up to germinate the new creation, and He left the old creation in the grave. Hallelujah!

It is very significant to see that the Lord Jesus did not take the linen cloth and the handkerchief with Him when He resurrection but rather, left them neatly and tidy in the tomb.

This means that He left the old creation in the grave, in death, and He rose to germinate the new creation in resurrection!

He became the firstfruits of the new creation in resurrection. All those who believe into the Lord Jesus and receive Him as their life and Savior, are born again of God (John 1:12-13; 3:15; 2 Pet. 1:4) to be a new creation in resurrection.

They receive the divine life of God and His divine nature, and they are new creation (2 Cor. 5:17; Gal. 6:15) not according to the old nature of flesh but according to the new nature of the divine life. Wow, hallelujah!

Just as a child when he is born has no idea what happened, who he is, and what it means to be a man, but he discovers the riches and implications of being a man as he grows up and develops, so we at the time of our regeneration did not realize who we are, what happened to us, and what are the implications of being born of God.

But as we grow in life, as we come to the Lord in His word and remain under the hearing of faith day by day, we realize that we are no longer the old creation but rather, we are a new creation in resurrection!

We have been germinated by the Lord Jesus in His resurrection to be a new creation, and the old creation has been terminated through Christ’s death.

We have been buried therefore with Him through baptism into His death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so also we might walk in newness of life. Rom. 6:4 But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held, so that we serve in newness of spirit and not in oldness of letter. John 7:6The old creation, though it was created by God, has nothing of the element of God; the new creation, however, is germinated with the divine life, and it is new because it has God’s element within it.

The old creation does not have God in it, but the new creation begins with God coming into us in the way of germination.

May we not look back at the past but rather, repent, apply the Lord’s precious blood, and go on enjoying the Lord, for when we are in Christ, we are a new creation, and all things of the past are gone! Praise the Lord!

May we not even look back at yesterday but rather, enjoy the Lord, enjoy His operating in us and allow Him to grow in us, so that we may be a new creation in resurrection.

We need to realize that we are a new creation and we need to walk in newness of life.

Every day is a new day; every day we can exercise our spirit and live in our spirit so that we may be a new creation in resurrection, expressing Christ as we walk in newness of life! Praise the Lord!

This all has been accomplished by Christ in His resurrection, for His death was the termination of the old creation and His resurrection was the germination of the new creation.

May we enjoy Christ’s new creation and walk in newness of life, one with the Lord in all things.

Lord Jesus, thank You for terminating the old creation through Your death and for germinating the new creation in Your resurrection! Hallelujah, all the old things have been terminated through Christ’s death and we today are in the new creation where all things are new! Thank You, Lord, for germinating us with Your divine life in Your resurrection to make us a new creation! Thank You for taking the old creation with You in death and leaving it in Your grave! Praise the Lord, the old creation has been crucified with Christ and buried with Him, and we as the new creation were germinated in the Lord’s resurrection! Amen, Lord, we want to walk in newness of life today as a new creation in resurrection. We want to serve You in newness of spirit. Hallelujah, every day is a new day, and we are enjoying Christ’s new creation and walking in newness of life! Praise the Lord, we have been crucified and buried with Christ in His death, and the old creation and the old man have been buried in the grave. Hallelujah, we are now a new creation in resurrection!

The fact that Christ arose on the first day of the week indicates that the entire universe has a new beginning in Christ’s resurrection. His resurrection ushered in a new period, a new age. In the sight of God the entire old creation was crucified with Christ and buried with Him. Then on the first day of the week there was a new beginning with Christ’s resurrection. The Lord’s death was the termination of the old creation; His resurrection was the germination of the new creation. For this reason, instead of keeping the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week, we meet on the Lord’s Day, the first day of the week. This means that in resurrection we are in the eighth day, or the first day of the week. Elsewhere, the New Testament calls the first day of the week the Lord’s Day (Rev. 1:10), for it was on this day that the Lord Jesus was resurrected to become the living Lord and to usher in a new beginning in resurrection.

When Christ rose from the dead on the first day of the week, the Lord’s day, He germinated the new creation.

We believers in Christ were regenerated by the Lord to be the children of God, a new creation in resurrection.

In God’s eyes, the entire old creation was crucified with Christ and buried with Him, and we believers in Christ have been germinated to be a new creation!

Hallelujah, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation! Praise the Lord, the old things have passed away – behold, they have become new! Amen, Lord, keep us living and walking in the new creation today!

Yes, behold, our God has made all things new.

The resurrection of Jesus was the beginning of a new creation, a new generation and a new age.

This new creation is not according to the old nature of flesh but according to the new nature of the divine life.

O Lord! We praise You for this new creation that is now an accomplished fact, and we say amen to pursuing You as the source and the finisher of this new creation in us.

AMEN🕊️

*This confirms what is mentioned in the preceding verse. The apostles would no longer know anyone according to the flesh, because, anyone “…who is in Christ, Is a new creation; the “old things” of the “flesh” have passed away, through, the “…death of Christ🕊️, and all has become “new”, In Christ’s resurrection.”

Cf.2Co 5:17, Fn.”in”,- 1 Cor. 1:30; Rom. 6:3; Gal. 3:27-28; 2 Cor. 12:2
*To be “In Christ” is to be one with Him, “…in life and nature.” This is of GOD🕊️ through, “…Our Faith in Christ 🕊️.”

(1 Cor. 1:30; Gal. 3:26-28). 2 Co 5:173b new – Gal. 6:15; Eph. 2:15; 4:24; Col. 3:10

The old creation does not have the divine life and nature, but the new creation, constituted of the believers, who are born again of God, does (John 1:13; 3:15; 2 Pet. 1:4). Hence, the believers are a new creation (Gal. 6:15), not according to the old nature of the flesh but according to the new nature of the divine life.

08/16/24 Christ Nullifying Death, and Bringing Life and Incorruption to Light and Our Remembering Jesus Christ, the Seed of David, Raised from the Dead (Week 4, Day 5)

“Remember Jesus Christ, Raised from the Dead, of the Seed of David, according to the Gospel: (Part 2) The Significance of Christ Being Resurrected on the First Day of the Week”

God groups the days not only into months and years but also into weeks. Every seven days is one unit, ending on the seventh day. We learned in the Old Testament that the Sabbath is a type and that it belongs to the old creation. The new creation began when the Lord resurrected. The old creation ended on the seventh of seven days. This clearly completes the week.

The beginning of the new creation was on the first of the next seven days, which clearly and plainly signifies a new beginning. The first week was completely old, and the second week was completely new. There is a clear and definite separation between the old creation and the new creation. The Lord’s resurrection was the demarcation line between the old creation and the new creation. The Lord Jesus died during the first week, which was of the old creation. Then, He was resurrected on the eighth day, which was the first day of the second week; that was the beginning of the new creation.

When the Lord Jesus died and was buried in a tomb, He was wrapped with linen cloth with a handkerchief (John 19:40). But, in the morning of the first day of the week, when Peter entered the tomb, he saw that the body of Jesus was gone, but the linen cloths, together with the handkerchief, properly folded were left at the tomb (John 20:6-7).

This picture reveals to us that the Lord Jesus went into the tomb with something of the old creation (signified by the linen cloths and handkerchief), indicating that the old creation was brought into the tomb by His burial. But when He rose from the tomb, that is, when He was resurrected, He left the things that belonged to the old creation as He entered into the new creation.

In the eyes of God, the entire old creation was buried in that tomb. This is a wonderful fact, whether we believe it or not. The old creation, including our old man and our old self, was buried in the tomb with Jesus and left there. When the all-inclusive Christ went into the tomb, we went there with Him. When He resurrected, He left us there. In this universe, there is such a wonderful, all-inclusive tomb where our old man has been buried and still remains. Now our old man is in the tomb, and our resurrected new man is in the church.

By His all-inclusive death, Christ terminated the old creation, which had been completed in six days, after which was the Sabbath day. In His resurrection, He germinated the new creation with the divine life. Hence, the day of His resurrection was the beginning of a new “week”—a new age. The day of His resurrection was appointed by God for the germination of the new creation. Germination is the impartation of the divine life into His believers in order for them to be regenerated and make them the new creation.

Since we, the believers in Christ, have received the divine life, we have been transferred from the old creation into the new creation. All who have received Christ have received the divine life and thus have become the new creation. All the unbelievers are “Christ-less” and thus are still in the old creation. Receiving Christ is the only way to become part of the new creation.

“We praise You, Lord Jesus, for raising Yourself up on the first day of the week, which signifies a new beginning, the beginning of the new creation by germinating Your divine life to all Your believers, which caused all of us to be regenerated, having a new life, the uncreated, eternal life. Amen.”

Another aspect of Christ’s work in His resurrection is His rising on the first day of the week to germinate the new creation (2 Cor. 5:17). It is significant that the Lord Jesus was resurrected not on the last day of the week but on the first day of the week [John 20:1].

The first day denotes a new beginning…When the old creation is germinated with the divine life, it becomes the new creation. We, the believers in Christ, who have been germinated through His resurrection, are now the new creation.

The old creation does not have God in it, but the new creation begins by God coming into us in the way of germination. This germination is the impartation of the divine life into the believers.

Through this impartation of the divine life we were regenerated. Therefore, germination is the impartation of the divine life into the believers for their regeneration to make them a new creation. (WL) 📖🌾🙏🏼💖
