Christ is in us as the Triune Spirit of the Triune God Mingled with our Spirit!

But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the spirit is life because of righteousness. Rom. 8:10

When we believed into the Lord Jesus, we received Him as the triune Spirit of the Triune God, and now Christ is in us; Christ in you is the crucial point of Romans, for Christ wants not only to redeem us and make us righteous but even more, come into us as the Spirit to save us organically in His life.

Praise the Lord, Christ is in us! In Romans 8:9 Paul says that if the Spirit of God dwells in us, we are of Christ; furthermore, we are not in the flesh but in the spirit if the Spirit of Christ is in us.

We believers in Christ are mysterious yet wonderful persons, for we have believed into the Lord Jesus, the most wonderful One, and we have received Him as our life and our everything.

But how did we receive Christ, and how can we enjoy and experience Christ?

It is not merely by mentally agreeing with His teachings and admitting that we are sinners, so we need a Saviour. Rather, Christ became a life-giving Spirit, and through regeneration we received the Spirit as the consummation of the Triune God.

The only way that we can contact God, enjoy God, receive God, and experience God is if He is the Spirit.

We have a human spirit, and God became a life-giving Spirit; these two spirits join as one, and as believers in Christ, we are joined to the Lord as one spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:17 clearly says that now the Lord is the Spirit. He used to be just Jesus in the flesh, and before then He was the Son of God for eternity, but in His economy, He went through a process to become the Spirit.

Oh, Christ is the Spirit! Christ in the flesh, the last Adam, became a life-giving Spirit (1 Cor. 15:45)! It is as the Spirit that we can contact Him, receive Him, and enjoy Him.

He came into our spirit to be joined to our spirit, and now we are in spirit whenever we allow Him as the Spirit to dwell in us.

When we allow the Spirit of God to make His home in us and dwell in our inner being, we simply are in the spirit, no longer in the flesh! Praise the Lord!

If we have the Spirit of Christ, we are of Christ, we belong to Christ, and even more, when we live in our mingled spirit, we are in Christ!

Our Christian life is wrapped up with Christ as the Spirit in our spirit. We need to know this One, enjoy this One, partake of His riches, and live because of Him.

He is so intimately related to us, for He is the Spirit in our spirit, and we are joined to Him as one spirit. Praise the Lord!

The Triune Spirit of the Triune God is in us, Joined to us as one Spirit! Hallelujah!

But you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Yet if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not of Him. But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the spirit is life because of righteousness. Rom. 8:9-10Romans 8:9 mentions both the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ; these are not “two Spirits” but one; they are two aspects of the same one Spirit.

We are not in the flesh but in the spirit if the Spirit of God dwells in us; yet if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not of Him.

The Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ are used interchangeably, both referring to Christ who dwells in us. The indwelling Spirit of life mentioned in Romans 8:2 is the all-inclusive life-giving Spirit of the entire Triune God!

When we receive Christ as our Saviour by faith in Him, we receive the Spirit; this Spirit is the triune Spirit of the Triune God, for He is the consummation of the processed and consummated Triune God.

In Romans 8, we see that Paul uses these terms interchangeably, indicating that the indwelling Spirit of life in verse 2 of Romans 8 is the all-inclusive life-giving Spirit of the entire Triune God! Hallelujah!

The Spirit of God passed through some processes and became the Spirit, the triune Spirit of the Triune God.

He in Christ passed through incarnation, human living, death, resurrection, and ascension, and all these things with their effectiveness and power are in the Spirit we receive at our regeneration.

Paul doesn’t play with these terms in a non-sensical way; rather, he purposely uses these terms interchangeably. The Spirit of life depicts the Triune God in His substance of life. He comes to dispense life into us.

The Spirit of God is God coming to us as the Spirit to make His home in us and dwell in us.

The Spirit of Christ includes all that Christ is and has and has passed through. God, the Spirit, and Christ, are all mentioned in Romans 8:9; these are not three in us but there’s only one – the triune Spirit of the Triune God (John 4:24; 2 Cor. 3:17; Rom. 8:11). Wow, how about that!

We have heard that God is Triune, but did we hear about the triune Spirit? The Spirit of God, the Spirit of Christ, and the Spirit – even the Spirit is triune! Truly amazing!

Even though we are not in a Bible seminary nor do we want to dissect the Divine Trinity, we want to enjoy and experience what Romans 8 reveals to us, and by doing this, we enjoy the triune Spirit of the Triune God!

This is not theology: this is a divine truth, that our God is Triune, He went through a process, and the Spirit today is the triune Spirit of the Triune God!

The Spirit of God implies that this Spirit is of the One who was from eternity past, who created all things, including the universe, and who is the origin of all things.

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truthfulness. John 4:24 And the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Cor. 3:17The Spirit of Christ implies that the Spirit is the embodiment and reality of Christ, who was incarnated. Christ accomplished everything necessary for the fulfilment of God’s eternal plan.

The Spirit of Christ includes not only divinity, which He possessed from eternity, but also humanity, which He obtained through incarnation.

The Spirit of Christ also includes human living, crucifixion, and ascension, all the processes that Christ went through.

The Spirit of Christ is in resurrection to dwell in our spirit (Rom. 8:10) and impart life into us, even to save us from and deal with the death in our nature (v. 2).

When we contact the Lord in our spirit and live in the mingled spirit, we enjoy the triune Spirit of the Triune God, and we are bountifully supplied to live the Christian life one with the Lord.

May we bring this matter to the Lord, even ask Him to make this real to us in our experience, so that the divine revelation becomes real to us today.

Lord Jesus, unveil us to see that we now have the triune Spirit of the Triune God in our mingled spirit! Hallelujah, the Spirit of God dwells in us, and we are not in the flesh but in the spirit! Praise the Lord, the Spirit of Christ is in us, so we are of Christ! Thank You, Lord, for going through the processes of incarnation, human living, death, resurrection, and ascension to become the all-inclusive life-giving Spirit! Thank You for coming into us as such a wonderful Spirit so that we may be regenerated and filled with the life of God! Hallelujah, the triune Spirit of the Triune God is in us, and we are joined to the Lord as one spirit! Amen, Lord, we open to You. Impart more of Your life into us. Add more of the Triune God to our being. Constitute us with all that You are. Oh Lord, live in us today! Deal with the death that is in our nature and impart the divine life into every part of our inner being! We choose to exercise and live in the mingled spirit so that we may enjoy and experience the triune Spirit of the Triune God in our daily living!

Since Christ is in us, our Spirit is Life because of Righteousness; we Believe into Christ and we Receive the Spirit!

And if the Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you. Rom. 8:11

Romans 8:10 says, But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the spirit is life because of righteousness. What a wonderful verse!

If we prayerfully read this verse, chewing on it by mixing it with our prayer before the Lord, we will get much light and nourishment. Christ is in us. Hallelujah!

The embodiment of God, Christ, the One in whom the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily, is in us. The Spirit of God indwells us, the Spirit of Christ is in us, and Christ is in us; Christ is in us by means of the Spirit being in us.

Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus. Rom. 3:24 But for ours also to whom it is to be accounted, who believe on Him who has raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. Rom. 4:24 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him. Rom. 6:8 But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the spirit is life because of righteousness. Rom. 8:10The crucial point in the book of Romans is “Christ…in you”, that is, Christ in us.

When we heard the gospel and saw a revelation of Jesus Christ, the One who embodies God and who is everything to us for our salvation and transformation in life, we opened to this living One, and Christ came into us.

Now Christ is in us. According to the fact, Christ is in us; according to experience, the Spirit is in us.

When we experience Him, He is the Spirit; when we worship Him, call on Him, and speak of Him, He is Christ.

This is both wonderful and mysterious, for we receive Christ as our Saviour and Redeemer, but He enters into us as the Spirit.

Christ is our Redeemer, and when we believe into Him, He comes into us as our life; however, when He indwells us, He is called, the Spirit, even the triune Spirit of the Triune God. These are not two persons but one person, one Dweller, in two aspects.

We can only say Amen and Thank You, Lord, when we read this and enjoy this.

Christ is in us. Christ is in you. Christ is in me. Christ in us, the hope of glory (Col. 1:27).

In Romans 3, Christ is on the cross, shedding His blood for our redemption. In Romans 4, Christ is in resurrection. In Romans 6, we are in Christ. In Romans 8, Christ is in us, for He as the Spirit is in us. Praise the Lord! This is so precious!

Christ is not just on the cross, not just in heaven, and not just everywhere as the Spirit, but He is the Spirit in and with our spirit!

The Christ whom we experience and enjoy is no longer hanging on the cross, nor is He just in the heavens; He is in us. Christ is in us.

He was crucified, He was resurrected, and today He is the Spirit in our spirit!

Before we believed in the Lord, our spirit within was dead and our body without was alive. But after believing into the Lord Jesus, though our body without is dead because of sin, our spirit within is life because of righteousness!

When we believed into the Lord Jesus, we realised that the flesh is with us, and because Satan dwells in our body, our body is dead because of sin.

Our body is the corrupted flesh which can never be improved nor can it ever become better; it is once for all condemned by God, and it has to be eradicated by Him.

But until the Lord comes back, we still have this corrupted body. The flesh is here, disturbing us. Our body is dead because of sin. But praise the Lord, Christ is our righteousness in our spirit, and our spirit is life because of righteousness!

When Christ came into us, He exposed the death situation in our body, and He as the Spirit came into our spirit to dispense life into us.

Christ became our righteousness through faith in Him, and this results in life; our spirit is life because of righteousness.

Before we believed in the Lord, our spirit within was dead and our body without was alive. Now that we have Christ in us, though our body without is dead because of sin, our spirit within is life because of righteousness. Christ's coming into us as life exposes the death situation of our body. In our spirit is Christ the Spirit as righteousness, resulting in life; but in our flesh is Satan as sin, resulting in death. Rom. 8:10, footnote 3, Recovery Version BibleWhen we exercise our spirit and live in the mingled spirit, we enjoy life and peace, for whenever the mind is set on the spirit, our mind becomes life! Our spirit is life, for Christ is in us as life – in our spirit; when we set our mind on our spirit, life spreads into our spirit!

This truly is a paradox in our Christian life: on the one hand, we have Christ in us as life, and our spirit is life; on the other hand, our body is dead because of sin, and there’s death in our flesh.

May we not be troubled by our flesh, the body of this death and the body of sin; rather, may we turn to our spirit and exercise our spirit so that we may enjoy life!

Christ is righteousness to us, and because of this, He is also life to us. As long as Christ is in our spirit, our spirit is life because of Christ as our righteousness.

Righteousness means that we are up to God’s standard of righteousness; by faith in Christ, Christ becomes our righteousness, we are righteous before God, and we can enjoy Christ as life.

In God’s eyes, we are in Christ by faith in Him, we are justified by God, and we are the righteousness of God in Christ.

Him who knew no sin, God made sin for us so that in Him we may become the righteousness of God (2 Cor. 5:21). Praise the Lord! The indwelling Christ is our life!

Lord Jesus, we believe into You as our Redeemer and Saviour and we receive You as the Spirit who gives life! Hallelujah, Christ is in us! Praise the Lord, Christ in us is the hope of glory! Amen, Lord, we call on Your name and we receive You as the Spirit. Thank You for coming into our spirit to be mingled with us as one spirit. Oh, what a privilege it is to have Christ as the embodiment of the Triune God dwelling in our spirit! Hallelujah, though the body is dead because of sin, the spirit is life because of righteousness, for Christ is in us! Praise the Lord, Christ lives in us, Christ dwells in us, and Christ is in us! Oh, what a salvation is this, that Christ lives in us! We open to You, dear Lord. We open to Your dispensing as the life-giving Spirit. Dispense Yourself into us. Thank You for being righteousness to us so that we may have God’s life. Hallelujah, our spirit is life because of righteousness! Praise the Lord, Christ is in us!

In Romans 8:9 Paul says, “You are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Yet if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not of Him.” This verse indicates that the Spirit of Christ is the Spirit of God who dwells in us that we may be in the spirit…Paul used these titles interchangeably, indicating that the indwelling Spirit of life in verse 2 is the all-inclusive life-giving Spirit of the entire Triune God. God, the Spirit, and Christ—the three of the Godhead—are all mentioned in verse 9. However, there are not three in us; there is only one, the triune Spirit of the Triune God (John 4:24; 2 Cor. 3:17; Rom. 8:11). The Spirit of God implies that this Spirit is of the One who was from eternity past, who created the universe and is the origin of all things. The Spirit of Christ implies that this Spirit is the embodiment and reality of Christ, the incarnated One. This Christ accomplished everything necessary to fulfill God’s plan. He includes not only divinity, which He possessed from eternity, but also humanity, which He obtained through incarnation. He also includes human living, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension. This is the Spirit of Christ in resurrection, that is, Christ Himself dwelling in our spirit (v. 10) to impart Himself, the embodiment of the processed Triune God, into us as resurrection life and power to deal with the death that is in our nature (v. 2). Thus, we may live today in Christ’s resurrection, in Christ Himself, by living in the mingled spirit.

When we believed into Christ, we received the Spirit, even the Triune spirit of the Triune God.

Hallelujah, Christ is in us as the Spirit, and our spirit is life because of righteousness.

Now that we have Christ in us, though our body without is dead because of sin, our spirit within is life because of righteousness.

Praise the Lord, our spirit is life because of righteousness! Christ is in us, and we have the Triune spirit of the Triune God in our spirit, mingled with us as one!

Lord, may we exercise our spirit and live in our spirit today!

Amen brother.

Today we must live in Christ’s resurrection, in Christ Himself, by living in the mingled spirit.

The Spirit of Christ is Christ in us to make our spirit life. In our experience of Him, He is the Spirit; in our worship and calling, He is Christ.

We receive Him as our Saviour & Redeemer, but He enters into us as the Spirit.

Our body is still dead because of sin. However, our regenerated spirit is life because of righteousness.

As long as Christ is in our spirit, our spirit is life because of Christ as our righteousness.

Let’s keep our mind set on the spirit that we may live.

God’s move in man, outwardly speaking, is a transition from the Old Testament to the New, from Mount Sinai to Mount Zion, from the bondage of the law in the flesh as described in Romans chapter 7, to the release of the Spirit in our spirit in Romans chapter 8.

In terms of inward experience, it is the spreading of divine life from our regenerated spirit into our mind, saturating our entire soul, and eventually reaching every member of our body. Ultimately, our whole being will be filled with life, and we will become people of life—living Christ and expressing Him.

This is the work of Christ as the heavenly ladder—to bring heaven to earth and to join earth to heaven.
