Christ is All and in All in the New Man: He is all the Members and in All the Members!

And have put on the new man...where...Christ is all and in all. Col. 3:10-11

In the new man Christ is all and in all – Christ is all the members, and Christ is in all the members; Christ is every member and He is in every member in the church as the one new man. Hallelujah!

How is it possible for people of different races, backgrounds, nationalities, and cultures to be one, to have the same expression, and to be made Christ?

How can Christ be reproduced today on earth so that others would see Christ manifested and expressed?

We all are different; we all live in a different way, we have our own culture, and we express ourselves in our own way.

The only way for God to gain the one new man – which is Christ Himself and His Body having the same life, person, and expression – is for Christ to be wrought into His believers to become their unique constituent.

When Christ lives in me and Christ lives in you, when I live Christ and you live Christ, our living is the living of the one new man.

God desires to gain a corporate living of the perfected God-men who live not by their human life, not according to their own culture, but they live by the divine life to express Christ.

Christ should be and He must be the unique constituent of the one new man.

We are so full of many other things, and by default, we live according to what we are, what we learned, and what we were trained. How can Christ live in me and in you?

It is only by seeing a vision of the all-inclusive, extensive Christ, the One who is preeminent in God’s economy and is everything to us.

When we see Christ in His all-inclusiveness and extensiveness, we will be so exposed, for we will realize that we still live out our own culture instead of Christ, and we still express ourselves instead of expressing God.

So we just open to Him, enjoy Him, partake of Him, and take Him as our life and person; the all-inclusive, extensive Christ is our life to be lived out in us.

Col. 3:4 says that Christ is our life; why is He our life? Is it just to save us from eternal perdition and cause us to live forever? No, Christ is our life so that He may live in us and we may live Him out.

He is our life to be everything to us, just as our human life affords us everything we need to live the human life.

When we set our mind on the spirit, contact the Lord, and enjoy Christ, what happens is that Christ is working Himself into us little by little to become our inward constituent.

As we allow the Lord to infuse us with Himself and saturate us with His very element, we will live according to what we are; we are becoming the same as Christ in life and nature, so we live according to Him and not according to our culture.

This is the way that Christ can replace our culture with Himself for the living of the one new man.

Christ becomes All in All in the New Man as we are Filled, Saturated, and Permeated with Christ and our Natural Distinctions are Eliminated

To whom God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Col. 1:27As we set our mind on the things above and not on the things which are on the earth, we take Christ as our life and live by Him. He is becoming our constituent for the one new man.

As the constituent of the new man, Christ is all and in all; Christ is all the members, and He is in all the members (Col. 3:11).

What a mystery this is, but how real and how wonderful this fact is! The new man is not me or you – the new man is Christ in me and Christ in you.

The new man is Christ living in me and Christ living in you. We are still here, but we are constituted with Christ and we live Christ.

We can still see one another, recognize one another, and live a proper human life on earth, but we realize that we are constituted with Christ, and we live Christ.

This is the church life and this is the one new man – it is Christ being all and in all, Christ being all the members and in all the members.

In the church as the new man, Christ is everyone and He is also in everyone (Col. 1:27; 3:11); on one hand, Christ is in me, and on the other, He is me.

In the new man, there is no room for the natural man or the old man; the natural man needs to be crossed out and all the differences are eliminated.

There’s no room in the new man for Jews and Greeks, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free man, Americans or Chinese, British or French, Russian or Chinese, you or me – in the new man Christ is all and in all!

This implies that Christ is every brother and every sister and that every brother and sister in the church life needs to be constituted with Christ.

How can we live in the new man when we still live in our natural man?

Our old man, our natural man, with all its living is part of the old creation and not of the new creation; in the new creation Christ is all and in all, and He must be our unique constituent for our daily living.

We need to be constituted with Christ; for this to take place, we need to be daily infused with Christ and saturated with Christ.

We must spend time with the Lord, open our being to Him, and allow Him to work Himself into us.

For Christ to be all and in all in the one new man, Christ must be added into us more and more; we must have Christ added into our being day by day.

We must be permeated with Christ, saturated with Christ, and have Christ organically wrought into our being — Gal. 4:19; Eph. 3:17a. Eventually, we will be replaced by Christ, and then, in reality, Christ will be all and in all; He will be every part of the new man — Col. 3:11b. The new man is Christ in all the saints permeating us and replacing us until all natural distinctions have been eliminated, and everyone is constituted with Christ — Gal. 4:19; Eph. 3:17a; Col. 1:27. 2020 Thanksgiving Conference, outline 3We must daily come to the Lord, enjoy Him, be infused with Him, be permeated with Him, and have Him organically wrought into our being.

For Christ to be all and in all in the new man, He must be organically wrought into our being; He must be our all not only when we are in the meetings but also in our daily living, in all things.

Little by little, He has to replace our natural life and natural being with Himself so that He may be every member, every part of the one new man.

The one new man doesn’t come into existence merely by taking many Christians from various countries and bringing them together in the church; this is at best a new organization, not the one new man.

The one new man comes into being when Christ is our all and in all.

The new man comes into being as we all, the brothers and the sisters in the Lord, are saturated, filled, and permeated with Christ, and when we all are replaced by Him through an organic process.

The more we allow Christ to permeate us and saturate us so that He may replace us, the more our natural distinctions are eliminated and we are constituted of Christ; the result is that Christ is all and in all in the one new man.

Lord Jesus, we want to be constituted with Christ for the one new man. Add Yourself to us more today for the constitution of the one new man. Amen, Lord, we want to be filled, saturated, and permeated with Yourself until we are replaced with Christ. Fill us, dear Lord, and saturate us day by day. May our intrinsic constitution and element be Christ. Become our all in all in our living daily. May there be an organic process going on in our being as You are working Yourself into us little by little, day by day! Amen, Lord, become our all in all until all our natural distinctions have been eliminated and we all are reconstituted with Christ.

Christ is All and in All in the New Man: He is all the Members and in All the Members!

And have put on the new man, which is being renewed unto full knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, where there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free man, but Christ is all and in all. Col. 3:10-11In the church as the one new man, Christ is everyone and He is also in everyone; He is all in all in the new man – He’s all the members and in all the members.

We may be wondering how can Christ be all in all in the new man; the answer is that He has to be the living of all the saints so that only He would be in the new man.

When I live Christ and you live Christ, in a real and practical way He will be in all the members of the new man.

When we take Christ as our life and live Christ, Christ will become me; when you take Christ as your life and live Christ, Christ will become you.

In this way, Christ becomes us – He becomes all the members of the new man.

This is what He desires – to be wrought into us, be infused into our being, and to saturate every part of our inward being until He is the unique constituent of our being, and what we live out is Christ.

When Christ lives in us, He is our all for the one new man.

Col. 3:11, however, also says that Christ is in all in the one new man. On one hand, He is all by Christ living in us, and on the other hand, He is in all by being in us.

If Paul would have said that in the new man Christ is all, and if he stopped there, then we would understand that Christ is all in the new man and we need to be replaced by Him; this means that there’s no need for us in the new man.

But Paul said that Christ is all AND IN ALL, which means that He is not only us but also in us; we are part of the one new man, and Christ is in us.

On the one hand, in the new man, there’s no place for the natural person, because Christ is all the members of the new man.

On the other hand, however, the fact that Christ is in all indicates that we as the members of the new man continue to exist, but we are not without Christ – we are indwelt by Christ (Col. 1:27).

When we take Christ as our life and constitution and thus live Christ, we have the deep sense within that we’re one with Christ and that Christ is us; when Christ lives in us, we sense the organic union with Him and realize that we are becoming Christ.

Simultaneously, we have an even deeper sense that Christ is in us. In the church as the new man, Christ is everything; we are constituted with Christ and He lives in us.

Christ is all the members and in all the members. In the new man there is no room for any natural person. Rather, Christ is everyone and is in everyone. To say that Christ is all and in all in the new man indicates that we are one with Christ and that Christ is one with us. We may even say that Christ is we and that we are He. This points to our union with Christ. Therefore, the living of the saints must be a living that is in union with Christ, a living that is identified with Him. If we live in such a way, we and Christ, Christ and we, are one. We live, and Christ lives in our living. Life-Study of Colossians, Chapter 29, by Witness LeeAt the same time, Christ is in us, and we have a deep sense that He is in us.

On one hand, He makes us the same as Himself and even Him, and on the other hand, He is in us.

Christ is both in us and He is us; we are becoming Christ and Christ is in us for the one new man.

In this way, Christ is all and in all in the one new man.

The Bible tells us that in the new man there’s no place for the natural person because Christ is all the members of the new man.

On the other hand, however, the Bible also tells us that Christ is in all the members; the members still exist, for Christ is in them, and they live Christ.

For Christ to be us, we need to take Christ as our life and live Him, not live ourselves.

For Christ to be in us means that He is in us and He has a free way to live in us and be expressed through us.

When we realize that Christ is us and Christ is in us as the one new man, we will gladly tell the Lord,

Lord Jesus, we take You as our life and live together with You so that You may be us for the one new man. Hallelujah, Christ is all in the new man – He is all the persons, all the members of the one new man! Amen, Lord, You are us and we are You in the new man, for we take You as our life and we live Christ. Thank You, Lord, we are still here – we are members of the one new man, and You are in us. Hallelujah, Christ is all and in all in the one new man – He is us and He is in us in the one new man! Amen, Lord, we want to live Christ and for Christ to live in us so that it would not be us but Christ who lives, and we still live in the organic union with Christ so that Christ may live in us! Become our all in all for the one new man!
