Christ as the Word of God expresses and defines God in His goings forth

October 19, 2012 by aGodMan 1 Comment

Christ as the Word of God expresses and defines God in His goings forth [in the picture: Newport beach]In Micah 5:2 we see Christ’s goings forth from eternity, and in John 1 we see the five greatest events in the history of the universe, all which involve Christ’s goings forth from eternity on the bridge of time and then back into eternity.

What is most impressive is that through all these five great events God is expressed, defined, and explained through Christ as the word of God. There’s an expression of God, something of God is being spoken forth, and Christ explains God in these five main events.

In these five great historical events in the universe Christ is the Word of God as the Creator in creation, the man in incarnation, the Lamb in redemption, the Spirit in transformation, and the ladder in joining earth to heaven.

This Christ as such a One, the Word of God, defines, explains, expresses, and fully shows God in what He is. What a Christ in His goings forth!

Christ as the Creator in creation speaks forth God

In His creation “the heavens are telling of the glory of God; / And their expanse [firmament] is declaring the work of His hands. / Day to day pours forth speech, / And night to night reveals knowledge. / There is no speech, nor are there words; / Their voice is not heard” (Psa. 19:1-3, NASB).

Also, in the New Testament we clearly see that the invisible things of God, “both His eternal power and divine characteristics, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world” (Rom. 1:20).

If you look at the creation, you see God’s glory and you simply have to believe there is a God. The heavens declare His glory, and there’s no speech or words involved. How Great God is in Christ! When you see the grandeur of God’s creation you realize how small you are and how great God is.

Christ is the means and the sphere through which all creation came into being, and in the creation we see God’s glory, His eternal power, and His divine characteristics.

There is no such person as an “atheist”, but there are ignorant people and people who refuse to believe. But if you just look at the creation, you will believe! The creation is the unspoken yet visible declaration of God’s greatness.

Christ as the man in incarnation expressed God

In the second greatest event in the history of the universe God became a man, the Creator became one of His creatures (Col. 1:15), bringing God into man and mingling divinity with humanity as one.

The Lord Jesus fully expressed, defined, and explained God in His human living on the earth. He was a God-man expressing God in His rich attributes through His aromatic virtues, and people saw God when they saw Christ.

There was something unspeakable, something excellent, fragrant, and sweet about this Person! He did everything in oneness with the Father, and when people saw Him, they wanted to be with Him and spend time with Him.

Christ as the embodied Word of God spoke God forth, expressed God, explained God, and defined God in His incarnation and in His human living.

Christ as the Lamb in redemption spoke God

When Christ died on the cross as the Lamb of God for the redemption of the lost world, He spoke to us concerning God’s righteousness. God accomplished His redemption judicially through Christ’s death as the procedure according to His righteousness.

When Christ was dying there on the cross, something was being spoken forth. Even as He was dying for our sins on the cross, the righteousness of God was revealed, and the whole universe saw God making Christ our substitute for sin.

The Lord didn’t speak much on the cross, but His being the Lamb for redemption spoke forth God and His righteousness (Rom. 3:21).

Christ as the Spirit in transformation expresses God

Christ as the dove (in symbol) is the Spirit to give life to us and to transform us, and this whole process of organic salvation speaks forth something.

In His becoming the Spirit for giving life and for transforming us (1 Cor. 15:45), Christ speaks to us further how God carries out His economy organically by His divine life for His purpose according to His heart’s desire.

By Christ living in us and transforming us, something is spoken forth! The others around us see Christ expressed in us, and as we enjoy Christ in His transforming work in our being something is being spoken forth and expressed through us.

We become the living testimony of God, and Christ as the Word of God is embodied in us and lives in us daily to express, define, and explain God to others.

Now the ones around us can see Christ living and speaking again in all the regenerated and being-transformed ones!

Christ as the ladder in joining earth to heaven speaks forth God

Ultimately, Christ as the ladder in joining the earth to heavens speaks forth God’s building, His habitation.

Christ as the One who joins earth to heaven and brings heaven to earth speaks to us how God desires to have a house on earth with and in humanity in which He is one with man organically.

Where the heavenly ladder is, there is the reality of the house of God, and there we have transformation, building, and God’s dwelling place.

Christ as the heavenly ladder joins us to God and brings God into us continually, and there’s something spoken forth: here is God’s house, God’s building, where God is at rest! God is manifested, expressed, in the church as the base on earth where the heavenly ladder is, joining earth to heaven.

Christ is the Word of God

In the beginning Christ is the Word of God (John 1:1), and at the end in Rev. 19:13 we see that Christ as the One riding on the horse is the Word of God! In eternity Christ is the Word, and when at the end He fights the battle He still is the Word of God.

Through Christ expressing God Satan will be defeated! Christ expresses, defines, and explains God in His creation, incarnation, redemption, transformation, and being the ladder to join earth to heaven, and through this Satan is defeated and destroyed!

It is Christ as the Word of God and our organic union with Him that will defeat and destroy the enemy! Hallelujah for Christ as the Word of God speaking forth God, explaining God, and defining God for God’s purpose!

Lord, keep speaking to us, in us, and through us. We fully open to Your inward life impartation and to Your inward transforming work. May God be glorified in our being as we live, work, meet, speak, and do things. May Christ be expressed through us even as we are undergoing the transformation work of Christ as the Spirit. We want to enjoy You and experience You as the Word of God until we are fully one with You to come and defeat Your enemy!
