God presents Himself to man as the tree of life – God in Christ is good for us to eat and enjoy!

In Genesis chapter 2 we see a tree in the middle of the garden called, The Tree Of Life, in front of which man was placed. When God created man in His image and with His likeness, He intended that man would express Him and represent Him (Gen. 1:26) – and the way for man […]

Christ’s two becomings: Christ became flesh in incarnation and He became the Spirit in His resurrection

Through our faith in Christ we receive Christ into us as a living Person! This is the most precious result of our believing into the Lord – we get Christ, a living Person, to come into us and live in us! On the one hand, Christ is in the heavens at the right hand of […]

experiencing the indwelling Christ – our Christ today is the Spirit in our spirit indwelling us!

When the Lord Jesus was on the earth with the disciples, He was outside of them (He was in the flesh), taking care of all their needs. He was very thoughtful of them – He cared for them, spoke to them the words of life, ministered to them, and perfected them. Because He was both […]

Christ is the Physician and the Bridegroom, the unfulled cloth, the new wine, and the Shepherd!

Every day as we read the Bible we discover more aspects of Christ – all the positive things in the universe point to Him as the reality. What we see and even what we are – and it is positive – is just a shadow; Christ is the reality. I never thought that the gospel […]

the all-inclusive Christ in Matthew: Christ is the Son of Man, the Baptizer, and the light of life!

What an all-inclusive Christ we have! In every book of the Bible, in every chapter, and even in every verse you can see Christ – He is all-inclusive! This morning we enjoyed three more aspects of Christ in the gospel of Matthew – Christ as the Son of Man, Christ as the Baptizer, and Christ […]

Christ in Matthew: the Son of David and the Son of Abraham, the Christ, and the heavenly King!

Our Christ is all-inclusive – we recently got into the book of Hebrews and saw many aspects of the all-inclusive Christ in Hebrews, and now we are in the gospel of Matthew this week, seeing over twenty aspects of the all-inclusive Christ! Christ is the center and circumference of God’s economy, He is the centrality and universality of God’s economy, and He is the One that God finds delight in. It’s all about Christ in the Bible – the spirit of the Bible is to exalt Christ, and Christ is the center of everything. God desires Christ, God gives us only Christ, and from us God desires that we may enjoy, experience, offer, and minister only Christ. The Body of Christ, which is us the church, is actually Christ in His increase. Christ is the reality of every positive things in the universe, and He fills all and in all. So why talk about anything else? Why exalt anything else? Paul told the Corinthian believers that he preaches Christ(1 Cor. 1:23) and this One crucified, and he doesn’t want to know anything among them but Christ(1 Cor. 2:2). Really, Christ is everything. We are wasting our time if we talk about doctrines, teachings, ordinances, traditions, stories, etc – if we don’t talk about Christ as the center of everything. Even our experiences with God should be an experience of Christ – nothing in our spiritual life can be apart from Christ. Christ has become our very life, and He is also our person. So here are three of the many aspects of the all-inclusive Christ in the Gospel of Matthew.

God has perfected praise from the mouths of the babes and sucklings(crystallization-study of the Psalms)

Man can fall and man can sin, but man cannot overthrow the perfect will of God! What a statement – though man has fallen and is in a free fall ever since, man can never change God’s will or overthrow His purpose: God’s purpose will be fulfilled! God desires to have a corporate man in […]
