Christ is our Great High Priest, our Forerunner, our Guarantee, and our Minister

September 14, 2018 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Christ is our merciful, faithful, and great High Priest. Christ is our Forerunner, the surety of a better covenant, the High Priest who is able to save us to the uttermost, and the Minister in the heavens. Hallelujah for such a Christ!

Hallelujah for our wonderful Christ as typified in Leviticus and revealed in the book of Hebrews! He is our merciful, faithful, and great High Priest, our Forerunner, the Surety of a better covenant, the High Priest who is able to save us to the uttermost, and the Minister in the heavens. What a Christ! In […]

Christ is the Captain of our Salvation and the Apostle and Builder of God’s House

Heb. 3:6 But Christ was faithful as a Son over His house, whose house we are...

What a wonderful Christ we have! In Hebrews we see that He’s the Creator, Upholder, and Heir of God’s creation, He destroyed the devil, He’s the Captain of our salvation into glory, and He is the Apostle and Builder of God’s house. Hallelujah for our wonderful Christ! He is the word of God to be […]

Christ is God’s Speaking, the Effulgence of God’s Glory and the Impress of His Substance

September 12, 2018 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Heb. 1:2-3 God...Has at the last of these days spoken to us in the Son, whom He appointed Heir of all things, through whom also He made the universe; who, being the effulgence of His glory and the impress of His substance...

The book of Hebrews as an exposition of Leviticus starts by saying that Christ is the speaking of God, the image of the invisible God, the effulgence of God’s glory and the impress of God’s substance (see Heb. 1:1-3). Our Christ is all-inclusive, and in the book of Leviticus we see many types, figures, and […]

Hebrews shows how the All-Inclusive Christ came to Replace the Offerings with Himself

September 11, 2018 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Heb. 10:11-12 ...every priest stands daily, ministering and offering often the same sacrifices, which can never remove sins; But this One, having offered one sacrifice for sins, sat down forever on the right hand of God.

Christ came to replace the offerings with Himself as the real sacrifice and living offering, and He as the all-inclusive One is everything to God and to God’s people. It is quite impressive to see how Paul in Hebrews expounds on the book of Leviticus, without mentioning it per say, and how he shows us […]

Hebrews is an Exposition of Leviticus with its Fine and Detailed Types of Christ

September 10, 2018 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Heb. 9:25-26 Nor in order that He might offer Himself often, just as the high priest enters into the Holy of Holies year by year by the blood of other creatures; since then He would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the consummation of the ages He has been manifested for the putting away of sin through the sacrifice of Himself.

This week in our enjoyment of the Lord in the morning revival we come to the matter of, Hebrews as an Exposition of Leviticus, and in particular we want to see the wonderful, detailed, and fine types of Christ in Leviticus as expounded in Hebrews. This is not just so that we would know the […]

Taking Christ as our Absoluteness and our Consecration in Serving God as Priests

September 8, 2018 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Isa. 50:4-5 The Lord Jehovah has given me The tongue of the instructed, That I should know how to sustain the weary with a word. He awakens me morning by morning; He awakens my ear To hear as an instructed one. The Lord Jehovah has opened my ear; And I was not rebellious, Nor did I turn back.

As priests consecrated to God we must be absolute for God, so we take Christ as our daily burnt offering – He is our absoluteness. Also, we need to take the strong Christ for our consecration, listening to His word, doing what is required by Him, and walking according to His way in serving Him. […]

We Maintain the Oneness of the Spirit by Loving and Bearing one Another in the Church

September 7, 2018 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Eph. 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, bearing one another in love.

To maintain the oneness of the Spirit in the church life, we need to live a life in love, consider one another, and cooperate with the Lord to care in love for the saints who may be in sin, so that they may be recovered and restored. As priests to God and as part of […]
