Called to Live within the Veil and to Share in the Work of the Lord for the Body

Return, return, O Shulammite; / Return, return, that we may gaze at you.... Song of Songs 6:13

As lovers of Christ who pursue Him and seek to gain Him so that He may gain what He is after, we are called more strongly to live within the veil through the cross after resurrection, and share in the work of the Lord by being one with Him to work with Him in and for the Body of Christ. Amen!

The entire Bible, the complete revelation of God to man, reveals to us the God of love in the universe and His economy.

The history of God’s economy is a history of the dispensing of the divine life.

Also, it is the history of the corporate people of God being built up.

Especially if we look at the book of Song of Songs we see that our relationship and history with God is one of love; in this book we see a love relationship in an excellent marriage.

In the light of the Lord’s coming, as we are preparing and making ourselves ready for His return, we need to see that we are the Lord’s lovers.

We love the Lord, we pursue Him, and we await His coming. And we do everything we can to hasten His return.

As seen in Song of Songs, there are some stages that the loving seeker passes through to eventually match the Beloved in every possible way.

In this book we see the history of love in an excellent marriage, revealing the progressive experience of an individual believer’s loving fellowship with Christ.

This loving fellowship begins on the day of our regeneration and will continue throughout our life; we need to progress in our loving fellowship with the Lord.

There are six stages of spiritual progress revealed in Song of Songs, and all the spiritual principles are contained in the first stage; they are only deepened and made more real in the succeeding stages.

In the first stage, we are drawn by the Lord every day to pursue Him for satisfaction.

In the first stage of our Christian life and loving relationship with the Lord, we build up a personal, affectionate, private, and spiritual relationship with the Lord.

This does not end when we go to the next stage; rather, we remain in this personal relationship with the Lord, loving Him day by day. Amen!

In the second stage, we as lovers of Christ are called to be delivered from the self with its introspection through our oneness with the cross of Christ.

Then, in the third stage, we are called to live in ascension as the new creation in resurrection.

Stage by stage, we advance with the Lord, our loving relationship with Him is deepened, and we learn to live one spirit with Him for the fulfilment of His purpose.

In this article, we would like to see the fourth and fifth stages of our loving relationship with the Lord as revealed in the book of Song of Songs.

We are Called More Strongly to Live within the Veil through the Cross after Resurrection

Who is this woman who looks forth like the dawn, / As beautiful as the moon, / As clear as the sun, / As terrible as an army with banners? Song of Songs 6:10In the fourth stage of Song of Songs, we as lovers of Christ are called more strongly to live within the veil through the cross after resurrection (see Song of Songs 5:2-6:13).

No matter how much spiritual achievement we have attained, because we are still in the old creation, we still have our flesh; so we need a stronger call.

We may touch something of ascension and we may be one with the Lord to be part of His move on the earth, being the palanquin for Christ to carry Him around, but we still need a stronger call.

We are called by the Lord to live within the veil.

By living within the veil, we as lovers of Christ are transformed into the heavenly bodies; by beholding and reflecting the Lord, we’re being transformed into His image and we shine with Him as our light (Song of Songs 6:10; 2 Cor. 3:18).

The loving seeker in Song of Songs looks forth like the dawn, she is as beautiful as the moon, and she is as clear as the sun. Amen!

We are becoming spiritual and heavenly, as signified by the sun and the moon.

The Lord is the Sun of righteousness with healing in His wings; as we spend time with Him and answer His stronger call to live within the veil, we will become the same as He is, spiritual, heavenly, and shining.

We no longer live in the flesh but rather, all the shadows are over, and the morning has come.

Praise the Lord, we are one with Him as the shining One!

May we be those who hear the Lord’s call, even Him calling us more strongly to live within the veil.

May we allow the cross of Christ to operate in our being so that the flesh may be put to death, the self may be denied, and we would shine like the sun and the moon, even looking forward like the dawn!

The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until the full day.

Our path as lovers of Christ who learn to live in righteousness should be like the light of dawn.

Our path should be brighter and brighter until the full day!

May we grow in life unto maturity and have the maturity of the life of Christ.

As we grow in life unto maturity, we become the same as Christ in life, nature, expression, and function.

Song of Songs 6:13 says, Return, return, o Shulammite; return, return, that we may gaze at you.

As lovers of Christ who pursue Him and enjoy Him day by day, we will become the same as He is in every possible way.

But we all with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit. 2 Cor. 3:18 But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, / Which shines brighter and brighter until the full day. Prov. 4:18Shulammite is the feminine form of Solomon; the overcomers become the same as Christ in life, nature, expression, and function.

Some believers may think it is too much to say that we become the same as Christ.

However, to say that we become the same as Christ and God in Their Godhead is blasphemy, but to not believe that we become the same as Christ in life, nature, expression, and function is simply to have unbelief.

As we arrive at the maturity of Christ’s life, we become the same as Christ is; we are like Him in life, nature, expression, and function, but not in the Godhead to be His reproduction and duplication to match Him for our marriage.

This is why the New Testament repeatedly uses phrases such as, In Christ, and, In the Lord.

Paul said that he could do all things in Christ (Phil. 4:13).

When we are in Christ, when we develop and maintain our loving relationship with Him spiritually, answering His stronger call to live within the veil, we will become the same as He is.

Christ is able to make us the same as He is in life, in nature, in expression, and in function to carry out His economy.

Lord Jesus, may we hear Your stronger call to live within the veil through the cross after resurrection. Save us from relying on ourselves or trusting in our ability. We want to come to You again and again and be one with You to live within the veil. May the cross deal with the flesh and may anything of the natural man be exposed and terminated. Amen, Lord, we want to live within the veil so that we as lovers of Christ may be transformed into shining ones, those who are one with You to shine You forth to others! Bring us on to maturity. We want to be in the maturity of Christ’s life so that we become the same as You are in life, nature, expression, and function, but not in the Godhead. Hallelujah, we believers in Christ are in Christ and we are learning to live, act, and do all things in the Lord! Praise the Lord, we are being made the same as Christ in His life, in His nature, in His function, and in His expression but not in His Godhead so that we may be His reproduction and duplication to match Him for our marriage! Amen, Lord, we love You!

Share in the Work of the Lord by Working together with Him in and for the Body

Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the fields; / Let us lodge in the villages. Song of Songs 7:11

In the fifth stage of Song of Songs, we as lovers of Christ share in the work of the Lord (Song of Songs 7:1-13).

On one hand, we are called to live within the veil; on the other hand, we share in the Lord’s work by being one with Him for the Body.

This is a very interesting portion of Song of Songs, for here the loving seeker takes the initiative and asks her Beloved to come and go forth into the fields, lodge in the villages, rise up early for the vineyards, and work together with the Lord.

Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the fields; / Let us lodge in the villages. Let us rise up early for the vineyards; / Let us see if the vine has budded, / [If] the blossom is open, / [If] the pomegranates are in bloom; / There I will give you my love. Song of Songs 7:11-12As believers in Christ who pursue Him in love and want to be one with Him, we will become mature in the life of Christ, and we will even be the same as He is in every possible way.

Then, we will have the same feeling as He has: we will share in the work of the Lord.

It may seem to us that, once we become the Shulammite, our progress reaches the highest peak, for we become the same as Christ.

But there is still something more; the Lord has many vineyards, many fields, and much work, so we as lovers of Christ share in the work of the Lord by working together with Him in and for the Body of Christ.

Song of Songs 7:11 shows that Christ’s lover wants to carry out with her Beloved the work that is for the entire world (signified by the fields) by sojourning from one place to another (lodging in the villages).

This indicates that, as we reach maturity in life and become Christ’s duplication, we will not be sectarian in carrying out the Lord’s work but rather, we keep the work open, so that others can come to sojourn there and we can go to sojourn elsewhere.

This is to keep one work in one Body.

As lovers of Christ who remain in the progressive experience of our loving relationship with the Lord, we will be one with Him to serve with Him, even share in His work, for Him to gain what He is after.

We will not serve in our own small territory, having our own work in our pocket, but we will serve in the Body and for the Body.

No matter where we are, we have to keep our work open so that others who are one with the Lord to share in His work will come and serve, and we can also go elsewhere.

To share in the work of the Lord is to work together with Him (2 Cor. 6:1).

To work together with the Lord, we need maturity in life, we need to be one with the Lord, and our work must be for His Body (Col. 1:28-29; 1 Cor. 12:12-27). Amen!

Wherever we go, our work is in and for the one Body of Christ.

We want to visit the churches, serve the Lord by being one with Him, and give Him our love in the churches for Him to gain the built-up Body.

We want to see if the vine has budded, if the blossoms are open, if the pomegranates are in bloom; there, in our sharing in the work of the Lord, we will give the Lord our love.

We will even rise up early, being diligent in our work with the Lord.

Our focus will not be to do a lot of work but to see how life grows in the saints, how life matures in them, and how we can help them grow in life, mature in life, and bring forth fruit in the maturity of life.

Especially when we come together in meetings for blending, we are very much before the Lord to sense the growth in life of the saints, minister something of Christ to them, and help them grow in life and arrive at maturity.

Whom we announce, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom that we may present every man full-grown in Christ; For which also I labor, struggling according to His operation which operates in me in power. Col. 1:28-29 And working together with [Him,] we also entreat you not to receive the grace of God in vain. 2 Cor. 6:1The Shulammite works as Solomon’s counterpart, taking care of all the vineyards (Song of Songs 8:11), the churches and the believers on the whole earth.

We must have a work that is for the entire world, not just for our local church where the Lord has placed us.

This is what the apostle Paul did by establishing local churches and then working to bring them into the full realization of the Body of Christ.

we read Rom. 16:1-24, the conclusion of the gospel of God given to Paul, we see the mentioning of many names of the saints; Paul cared for each one, prayed for each one, and wanted to labor on each one, even to blend them together.

By mentioning their names, their situations, and words of encouragement, Paul worked to bring the saints into the full realization of the Body of Christ.

May we be willing to take the initiative to rise up and share in the work of the Lord to build up His Body all over the earth!

May the Lord gain us for His need to open up the whole earth for His need, and may we preach the gospel of the kingdom to the whole inhabited earth to build up the unique Body of Christ!

Lord Jesus, we love You. We are one with You. Let us go into the vineyards, Lord, to see if the pomegranates are in bloom and if the buds are growing. Amen, Lord, we love You so much and we are so one with You that we want to share in Your work. We want to work together with You for the building up of the church as the Body of Christ. We do not want to have our personal work, our territory of work; we want to work in the Body and for the Body as Your lovers. We take You as the life and supply for our work, and we want to grow in life unto maturity. We want to be one with You and work with You for the building up of the Body. How we love You, Lord, and how we love Your Body! We love the churches and all the saints. We want all the saints to grow in life, arrive at maturity, and progress in their loving relationship with You. Amen, Lord, we give You our love as we work together with You, sharing in Your work, in the churches and for the Body!

Shulammite is the feminine form of Solomon, indicating that now the overcomers have become the same as Christ. All the overcomers must be one with God and must be Christ. The Shulammite was a country girl. Now, as a counterpart of Solomon, she has become the same as Solomon in life, in nature, in expression, and in function for the carrying out of God’s economy. In these four things—life, nature, expression, and function—we become the same as God and Christ but not in Their Godhead. To say that we are the same as God in His Godhead is a great blasphemy, but if we say that we cannot be the same as God in life, nature, expression, and function, this is unbelief. The Bible tells us again and again that God wants to be one with us and to make us one with Him. The phrases in Christ and in the Lord are used repeatedly in the New Testament…In the Lord we are able to do all things (Phil. 4:13)…He is able to make us the same as He is in His life, in His nature, in His expression, and in His function to carry out His economy.

Believers ought to be lovable and terrible at the same time. Believers today have lost their loveliness before the Lord, and they have lost their terribleness before the enemy and the world. Are men terrified by us? The Bible often mentions the terribleness of the Lord; He is terrible because He is holy. If we maintain our holiness and victory, we will see the enemy retreating and the world standing back. But believers today have sacrificed their terribleness, and neither men nor demons are afraid of them any longer.

Verse 5a says, “Turn away thine eyes from me, for they have overcome me.” The first phrase in verse 5 is a poetic expression. The power of love is expressed by the affection in the eyes. The Lord is not rejecting the believers’ love; rather, there is the element of encouragement and praise. Just as He turned down the Syrophoenician woman (Mark 7:25-29), delayed two days before going up to Judea (John 11:5-7), told Moses, “Let me alone” (Exo. 32:10), and allowed Jacob to hold on to Him (Gen. 32:26), He is inviting the maiden’s expression of love with a word of seeming rejection. Turning away is the opposite of fixing one’s eyes upon an object. This speaks not only of love, but of the firmness of love. It seems that He has become weak before her love; this weakness in Him has been displayed often in the face of love. He seems to give a hint of His total helplessness, apparent failure, and lack of defense before love. Only those who have experienced the Lord’s apparent rejection, delay, denial, and helplessness know the way of the Lord.

The Lord is calling us even more strongly to live within the veil with Him after resurrection, so that we become the same as He is in life and nature but not in the Godhead.

When we reach maturity of life and are one with the Lord, we will share in the Lord’s work in the churches for the building up of the Body of Christ.

Lord, grow in life unto maturity. Make us the same as You are in life, nature, expression, and function so that we may share in Your work in and for the Body.

Oh, how we love the local churches! Amen, Lord, grow in all the saints unto maturity!

Amen brother. We must beware of unbelief.

Those who say that we cannot be the same as Christ in life, nature, expression & function have fallen into unbelief.

To work together with the Lord we need to be mature in life and teach the high truths.

We are Christ’s counterpart and we should be eager to work with Him in establishing local churches and bringing them into the full realisation of the Body of Christ.

Come our beloved, let us go forth into the fields; let us lodge in the villages…

In the fourth and 5th stages of Song of Songs, the lover of Christ is called more strongly to live within the veil through the cross after resurrection to become the Shulammite, the same as Christ in four things—life, nature, expression, and function to share in the work of the Lord for His Body.

Lord Jesus bring us on with You unto maturity in life. Make us one with You, and labor with You for Your Body.🙏🙏🙏

with the Shulammite we see a country girl becoming the duplication of King Solomon to match Him, to share in his work.

In the same way, Christ our King is duplicating Himself in us so that we as His reproduction, are becoming the same as He is in life, nature, expression and function as overcomers to match Him to be His counterpart that we may share His work to carry out His economy.

Our work – even the establishing of local churches – must for the entire earth, for the buliding up of the Body of Christ.

Lord, duplicate more of Yourself into us through the cross and in resurrection to be mature in life that we may joined as one spirit with You to carry out Your move in Your economy

07/11/24 Loving the Lord’s Appearing by Maintaining Our Love for Him according to the Intrinsic Significance of Song of Songs (Week 4, Day 4)

“The Subject of Song of Songs, a Poem, is the History of Love, in an Excellent Marriage, Revealing the Progressive Experience of an Individual Believer’s Loving Fellowship with Christ for the Preparation of His Bride in Six Major Stages” (Stage 4) the Lover of Christ is Called More Strongly to Live within the Veil through the Cross after Resurrection; (Stage 5) the Lover of Christ Shares in the Work of the Lord

We may think that the third stage is the highest stage, but according to Song of Songs there is yet another stage. The fourth stage is to be called by Christ more strongly to live within the veil through His cross after the experience of His resurrection (SS 5:2—6:13).

In ascension, in the heavens, there is the sanctuary of God, and a veil, which signifies the flesh (Heb 10:20), divides this heavenly sanctuary into two sections. We should not think that once we have arrived at the heavenly sanctuary, we have already attained the highest point of spiritual experience. We may have come to the highest point, but we may not yet be in the inner chamber of the heavenly sanctuary. This inner chamber is the Holy of Holies—God Himself.

The veil separating the Holy of Holies from the Holy Place was split in two at the time of Christ’s crucifixion (Mat 27:51), but the veil has not been taken away. The veil is still there. After we reach ascension we eventually realize that with the sanctuary in the heavens there is an inner chamber and that we need to enter within the veil and live within the veil, that is, live in God Himself.

Song of Songs 6:4 says, “You are as beautiful, my love, as Tirzah, / As lovely as Jerusalem.” Here the lover of Christ is likened to Tirzah and Jerusalem, indicating that she has become God’s dwelling place. When she was first drawn by the Lord, He likened her to a mare, a horse among Pharaoh’s chariots. Then she was likened to a rose in Sharon, a lily in the valleys and among thorns, a dove, a pillar of smoke, a bed, a palanquin, a garden, and a fountain with a spring.

Now, in the fourth stage of her experience in her fellowship with her Beloved, she is likened to the heavenly dwelling of God and the heavenly Jerusalem. According to Song of Songs 6:4, “You are as beautiful, my love, as Tirzah, / As lovely as Jerusalem, / As terrible as an army with banners.” The word Jerusalem is a sign of the New Jerusalem, indicating that all the lovers of Christ eventually will become the New Jerusalem—the ultimate consummation of the Bible. Here in God’s Holy of Holies we have the highest spiritual experience.

After being transformed further in her living and remaining with Solomon, the lover has become the same as Solomon in life and in nature; she is is now called the Shulammite, the feminine form of Solomon, the counterpart of Solomon (SS 6:13). She has also become one with Solomon in his being and in his work.

Solomon is the Lord of vineyards, needing a lot of work. The Shulammite became burdened to share in the work of Solomon in taking care of the vineyards; she had become the co-worker of Solomon. She was not forced to do it, but, having become one with Solomon, she gladly co-works with Him. The lover has reached the fifth stage in her progressive experience in her continual fellowship with Solomon.

In the same manner, we, too, after having been transformed further when we live and remain within the veil, our mingled spirit, where the Lord indwells, we too would become like Christ in life and in nature, and would become His counterpart. Having become one with Christ in His life and nature, we too would become qualified and would love to co-work with Him in taking care of His flock, in working in His vineyards, the churches.

The work on His vineyards, the churches, is the Lord’s, not ours. We should not claim any achievements as ours because the Lord, in reality, is the One working in His Body, through His Body, and for His Body. We are just co-working in His work; we are the vessels in whom He is moving and working on. The moment we claim the work that we have accomplished, we are finished. Satan has brought us into his snare, his entrapment, the glorifying of our self for power, honor, and fame.

“We praise You, Lord Jesus, for transforming us further until we are the same as You are in life and in nature to make us Your counterpart and make us qualified to co-work with You in Your vineyards, the churches, going from place to place for the one work in building up of Your Body. Amen.”

In the fifth stage of Song of Songs, the lover of Christ shares in the work of the Lord (7:1-13).

Song of Songs 7:11 shows that Christ’s lover wants to carry out with her Beloved the work that is for the entire world (fields) by sojourning from one place to another (lodging in the villages); this indicates that she is not sectarian in carrying out the Lord’s work but keeps the work open, so that others can come to sojourn there and she can go to sojourn elsewhere; this is to keep one work in one Body.

To share in the work of the Lord is to work together with Him (2 Cor. 6:1a); to work with Him, we need the maturity in life, we need to be one with the Lord, and our work must be for His Body (Col. 1:28-29; 1 Cor. 12:12-27).

The Shulammite works as Solomon’s counterpart, taking care of all the vineyards (S. S. 8:11), the churches and the believers on the whole earth; we must have a work that is for the entire world; this is what Paul did by establishing local churches and then working to bring them into the full realization of the Body of Christ (Rom. 16:1-24). 📖🙏🏼💖

Through her living in the ascension of Christ and further living within the veil, experiencing the cross of Christ more strongly, the lover of Christ is transformed into the heavenly bodies, indicated here by the moon and the sun. This indicates that she has become not only wholly spiritual (S.S. 3:6) but also absolutely heavenly and signifies that she has become an overcomer (Phil. 2:15 and note Phil. 2:155d; Matt. 13:43 and note Matt. 13:431; Rev. 12:1, 5, note Rev. 12:11b and note Rev. 12:52). In Song of Songs the lover of Christ overcomes in stages, in the first stage overcoming the attraction of the world by being captivated by Christ (S.S. 1:2-17; 2:1-7); in the second stage overcoming the self, which secluded her from the presence of Christ, by becoming one with the cross of Christ (S.S. 2:8-17; 3:1-5); in the third stage overcoming the old creation (the physical things) by living in the ascension of Christ in resurrection after her self was dealt with by the cross (3:6—5:1); and in the fourth stage overcoming the flesh, the natural man, the old man, by living within the veil (S.S. 5:2-16; 6:1-13).

Praise the Lord, dear brother, we need 2 Cor. 3:18 to become the Shulamite in S.S. 6:13.

We need to behold Christ as the real Solomon. To be infused with Him, until we become the same as He is in life, nature, but not in the Godhead.

Then others will gaze at us and say Wow who are these people.
