Being One with Christ in His Heavenly Ministry by Being in Ascension Today

Being One with Christ in His Heavenly Ministry by Being in Ascension Today

We have seen that the Triune God has a unique work, and if we would work for God and with God we simply need to join in God’s unique work, and His work must be our work. Also, last week we saw that the Lord Jesus is our pattern in working for God, and His work was His living.

This week we come to ourselves, to how we can work for God and what are the principles of working for God today. We need to follow the pattern of Christ and work for God by living Christ in our daily life.

Our work needs to be in ascension, which means that ascension is the nature, the sphere, the state, the atmosphere, and the characteristic of our work for God.

As we work for God, we work by the Spirit, which means that the Spirit is the essence, the means, the way, the authority, the power, and the impact of our work.

Finally, our work is in the divine stream, the divine flow, the divine current, which means that the stream is the source, the supply, the fellowship, the direction, the movement, and the purpose of our work.

May the Lord unveil us to see that our work is in ascension, by the Spirit, and in the stream!

Christ Today is In Ascension

After the Lord Jesus lived a perfect human life in which He fully expressed the Father, He died an all-inclusive death on the cross, He resurrected from the dead, and then He ascended to the heavens.

On the day of His resurrection, the Lord Jesus showed Himself to His lover Mary, and then He quickly ascended to the Father secretly for His enjoyment, as the firstfruits of the resurrection.

Forty days later He publicly ascended to the heavens, where He is right now as the Man in the glory.

In His ascension, Christ was enthroned and He was given to be Head over all things (Acts 1:22; Matt. 28:18). As a Man, Christ acquired the lordship, the kingship, and the headship, attaining to the highest status in the universe!

The anointed Christ, the Messiah, was enthroned as a Man and was put at the right hand of God, being given all power and authority in the universe!

Hallelujah, there’s a Man now in glory at the right hand of God, ruling and reigning over the whole universe!

And as we see in Eph. 2:6, we were not only crucified and resurrected with Christ, but we as the many believers of Christ were ascended with Him and seated with Christ at the right hand of God in ascension!

Right now, our spiritual position is in ascension, in the heavenlies, at the right hand of God!

We are Now with Christ in Ascension

Whether we feel this or not, this is a fact: right now we as the many God-men, the believers in Christ, are seated with Christ in the heavens (Eph. 1:22).

God has committed all authority in the universe to His resurrected and ascended Christ, and we as the believers are in Christ – we are in the heavens and on the throne with Him!

This is our position right now! Whether we feel this or not, whether we see this in our experience or not, we believe what the Bible says! In His ascension, Christ was enthroned, and in His ascension, we were also positioned with Christ on the throne!

To Christ His resurrection was a proof and a testimony that He is the indestructible life, and to us it is the impartation of life for our regeneration (1 Pet. 1:3).

To Christ His ascension is His enthronement, and to us it is our position in the heavenlies on the throne.

By believing into Christ and being baptized into Him we were put into Christ and organically joined to Him – now all He is, has, and has passed through is also ours.

Don’t believe the enemy’s lies: speak the facts of the Bible to him, and you will be brought into the heavenlies! When Satan attacks you, when there’s accusations from the enemy, or when he wants you to be depressed, speak the facts to him:

Satan, I am in Christ right now in the heavenlies! I have been enthroned with Jesus Christ, the Man in the glory, in the highest place in the universe! Jesus Christ is Victor, and He has defeated you! Get behind me, Satan! I am one with the Lord in spirit and I am in ascension!

Christ is Now in His Heavenly Ministry

When the Lord Jesus began His ministry on earth, He was baptized by John the Baptist and He was anointed with the Spirit, who descended upon Him as a dove (see Matt. 3:13-17). This was His inauguration into His office of the earthly ministry for God, from His baptism to His resurrection.

After His death and resurrection, Christ ascended to the heavens and He was fully approved by God of all the work He did.

Christ’s work was entirely acceptable to God, and in His ascension He was inaugurated the second time, this time in another realm with another living and another ministry.

Christ now has multiple statuses, being much busier than before, and He works for God in His heavenly ministry into which He was inaugurated and ushered in through His ascension.

What a Christ! He is now the Lord, the King, the Ruler, the Christ, the Head, and He is also the Great High Priest, the Heavenly Minister, the Heavenly Advocate, the Chief Shepherd, the Intercessor, and the Administrator of the universe and of God’s economy!

In the Gospels, we see Christ in His earthly ministry, and in the book of Acts (see Acts 2:33-34, 36; 5:31) and in all the Epistles we see Christ’s heavenly ministry as the Ascended One in the heavens!

One with Christ in His Heavenly Ministry

In His ascension Christ is no longer working alone or by Himself, and He is not only working through and with the twelve disciples.

On the day of Pentecost and in the house of Cornelius Christ as the Ascended Head of the Body poured out the Holy Spirit on the Jewish and Gentile members of His Body, and we all are Christ’s co-workers in His ascension!

Christ transmitted His life and power into His redeemed and chosen people, and He is continually dispensing Himself into them to spread out on the whole earth as His Body!

We are now Christ living and working again on the earth, doing everything one with the Lord in His ascension and ministering Him to people for His increase!

Today the nature, the sphere, the state, the atmosphere, and the characteristic of our work is ascension! Hallelujah!

Lord, cause us to see that we are in ascension one with You! Right now we are seated with Christ, the ascended Head, in the heavenlies. Satan cannot touch us – we are in Christ on the throne with Him. Thank You Lord for all that You are to us. Keep us enjoying You and receiving Your continual transmission that we may work together with You today. We want to work in ascension one with Christ as the Head!

In His ascension, Christ was enthroned and made the very Head over all things in the universe (Eph. 1:22). Therefore, He is the Head, the Lord, the King, and the anointed One on the throne. On the one hand, His ascension was His enthronement. On the other hand, because we were identified with Him in His ascension, we also were brought into the heavens with Him (2:6). When He was crucified, we died in Him on the cross; when He was resurrected, we were raised up with Him; and when He ascended, we also ascended to the heavens with Him….Because He is on the throne in the heavens, we also are in the heavens and on the throne. Enthronement indicates authorization. This is why the Lord Jesus told His disciples that all authority in heaven and on earth has been committed to Him (Matt. 28:18). Christ is Head over all things. The words “to the church” implies there is a heavenly transmission of this authority to the church.
