Seeing that Christ in Ascension is on the Throne to be Lord of All to Possess All

This One God has exalted to His right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. Acts 5:31

The Christ revealed in the book of Acts is in ascension; the Lord’s ascension brought Him into the stage of a resurrected man living in the heavens as the center of God’s administration – He is the Christ and the Lord of all to possess all, having been enthroned and having all the glory! Hallelujah!

On the one hand, in Acts, we see the resurrected Christ being propagated through the disciples, who are the continuation of Christ to spread the kingdom of God on the earth.

The resurrection of Christ is pivotal, for it points back to His incarnation, His human living, and His death, and it also points forward to His ascension, ministry, and administration in heaven, including His coming back.

The resurrection of Christ is not only a major event in the history of the universe but even more, it has to do with us! We do not have merely an incarnated and crucified Christ, but even more, a resurrected Christ.

Without resurrection, Christ’s incarnation would be empty, and His crucifixion would amount to nothing. But God raised Christ from the dead and has approved all that this One has done!

Christ came as God incarnated in the flesh to express God, accomplish God’s redemption, and fully satisfy the requirements of God’s righteousness, holiness, and glory.

Man saw Christ and was amazed, Satan saw Christ and trembled, and God saw Christ and was satisfied. But it was only in His resurrection that everyone could realise that God approved Christ and all His work.

When God raised Christ from the dead, on the one hand, He approved Christ with all His work, and on the other hand, God raised the God-man Christ with humanity.

Now there is a Man in the glory, even a Man seated at the right hand of God, ascended in the heavens! The One ascended and enthroned in the heavens is Jesus Christ, the God-man.

Without His resurrection, His ascension is not that meaningful; but because Christ resurrected, His resurrection is effective and full of meaning. Praise the Lord for His resurrection!

No wonder that, since the resurrection of Christ is so important, the disciples preached the gospel by testifying of the resurrected Christ.

They even spoke Christ and His resurrection as the gospel.

Thank the Lord that we believers in Christ have a living Saviour, one who has died and has been raised, and now He is in us! Today we are becoming the testimony of the resurrected Christ to express Him corporately!

See a Vision of Christ in Ascension: He’s on the Throne Executing God’s Administration

And raised us up together with Him and seated us together with Him in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus, Eph. 2:6

The Christ that the early disciples preached was not only a resurrected Christ but also an ascended Christ, Christ in ascension (see Acts 1:9-11; 2:32-36; 5:31).

The Christ revealed in the book of Acts is in ascension. After His resurrection, Christ ascended.

While we have some appreciation for the Lord’s resurrection, for we can identify somewhat with it in our experience, we may not know much about His ascension and we may not have an appreciation of His ascension.

We may think that Christ has ascended, up in the third heaven, and this is wonderful, but it doesn’t have to do much with us, with our situation, etc. If we think this way, we are too short-sighted, lacking in our growth in life.

This Jesus God has raised up, of which we all are witnesses. Therefore having been exalted to the right hand of God and having received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, He has poured out this which you both see and hear...Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made Him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you have crucified. Acts 2:32-33, 36In the experience of life, we need to reach the fourth stage to enter into Christ’s ascension, where we can reign with Him, and know the Body of Christ.

We all need to grow in life and continue growing until we appreciate not only His incarnation, death, and resurrection, but even more, His ascension.

We are one with Christ in His ascension. Whereas resurrection is a matter of life, Christ’s ascension is a matter of position, and position is a matter of authority.

This reminds us of Jacob and Joseph, who were considered as one corporate person with two sides; Jacob represents the side of life and Joseph represents the kingship.

Jacob was fully mature, arriving at the riches and maturation of life. However, he needs to be coupled with Joseph, representing the kingship, the reigning aspect. It was Joseph who ascended to the kingship, reigning and ruling.

On the one hand, we need to grow in life and arrive at the maturity of life. On the other hand, we must realise that there’s the matter of position in ascension.

The Lord Jesus is in ascension, and He has authority. The Lord’s ascension was His initiation into His living and ministry in the heavens; this initiation brought Him into a new realm, that is, into the heavens where He now has His living and is ministering there.

On the one hand, Christ is the life-giving Spirit in our spirit; on the other hand, He is in the heavens. He’s not only in the physical heavens but in the heavenlies, in the heavens as a heavenly realm.

In this realm, He is very busy, for He is carrying out His heavenly ministry. He didn’t just come, accomplish redemption, and then go back where He began.

No, after He passed through the process, He ascended as a man. He brought humanity into divinity, and He brought man into God; now there is a man in the glory! There’s a Man in the heavens who is made Lord of all!

He will be the Judge of the living and the dead – not as God but as a man! And He will be the One carrying out God’s universal administration!

Especially today, as we live in this chaotic world, with the wars going on in Ukraine and in Israel, and with the chaos in so many countries with these earthly governments, we know that all these things are being set up as a stage to prepare for our Lord’s return!

In the midst of all things, what should we do? We need to pray not only that the Lord would be merciful to us, keep us, and maintain us on the path of faith, but even more, we need to know our position!

We are serving only only a living Saviour but One who is in ascension, and we are seated with Him in the heavenlies in ascension (Eph. 2:6).

The One in ascension seated on the throne is not an individual man but a corporate God-man; He is the Head and we are His Body!

And He is ministering over all the affairs of the earth today. It’s not those in 10 Downing Street or those in the White House that govern but the One in the heavens!

Which He caused to operate in Christ in raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His right hand in the heavenlies, Far above all rule and authority and power and lordship and every name that is named not only in this age but also in that which is to come; And He subjected all things under His feet and gave Him to be Head over all things to the church, Which is His Body, the fullness of the One who fills all in all. Eph. 1:20-23May the Lord open our eyes to see the position God has given to us today as the church.

We are not here on the earth just struggling along, trying to read the Bible, go to meetings, do some gospel preaching, and trying to get some people saved.

No, we are much more than that. We are one with Christ in the heavenlies!

He’s the heavenly minister, the mediator of God’s new covenant, the heavenly High Priest, and the Minister of the heavenly tabernacle. He ministers life and grace to us to live a heavenly life on the earth.

We have not only a resurrected life but even more, an ascended life, for we are one with the Lord in His ascension! We need to know Christ in His ascension, appreciate Him, love Him, and experience Him.

We can look away unto Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who is sitting at the right hand of God in glory! Praise the Lord!

He now possesses all authority in heaven and on earth, and He is transmitting this authority to us as the church, His Body!

So when we as the church pray, it is not a small thing; things happen when we pray in one accord, knowing that we are seated with Christ in ascension in the heavenlies.

Lord Jesus, grant us to see a fresh vision of Christ in ascension! Hallelujah, Christ is not only in resurrection but also in ascension! Praise the Lord, Christ was initiated into His living and ministry in the heavens, and we are joined to Him as one spirit! Amen, Lord, may we see that You today are in a new realm, in the heavenlies, where You now have a living and You are ministering there. We praise You, Lord Jesus, our ascended Head! You are our heavenly High Priest interceding for us. You are the King of kings and the Lord of lords. You are the Ruler over all the kings of the earth. You are the heavenly Minister and the Mediator of God’s new covenant! Praise the Lord, Jesus Christ is the heavenly High Priest! We open to Your ministering life and grace to us so that we may live a heavenly life on earth. Thank You, Lord, we are joined to You, even seated with Christ in the heavenlies in ascension, for we are the Body of the ascended Head! Hallelujah for the ascended Christ!

In His Ascension, Christ Carries God’s Administration, is Enthroned, and is the Lord of All to Possess All

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made Him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you have crucified. Acts 2:36

The Lord’s ascension brought Him into a new stage – the stage of a resurrected man living in the heavens as the centre of God’s administration (Rev. 5:6). Wow!

This resurrected One is now sitting in the heavens to execute God’s administration (Heb. 12:2). Among the many statuses of Christ in His ascension, two probably most crucial ones are the Ruler of the kings of the earth and the Lord of all to possess all.

Throughout history, kingdoms rise and fall, great leaders have authority and then they go away, but the Lord is the One in charge.

Therefore also God highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, And every tongue should openly confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Phil. 2:9-11There’s a Ruler over the kings of the earth who operates and administrates – it is the ascended Christ. He is ruling over all our environment to carry out God’s administration.

This One is the Head over all things to the church. He is the Head over all things, all men, all persons, and all situations, and He is to the church. Praise the Lord! Christ is heading up all situations and all things to the church.

May we never be discouraged with our situation or with the situation in the church life, and may we never be frightened in this chaotic situation today.

Rather, may we exercise our spirit to be one with Christ in the heavenlies, for He is there ruling and reigning!

May the Lord have mercy on us to help us continue to grow in His life and enter into the stage of reigning and ruling with Christ in His ascension, praying in a heavenly way, and releasing the prayers in ascension to bind and loose.

The resurrected Christ ascended to the heavens to be exalted by God and to be given the kingship, the lordship, and the headship over all things (Phil. 2:9-11; Eph. 1:22). Hallelujah!

The ascended Christ has also obtained the throne, the glory, and all the authority in the universe (see Rev. 5:6; Heb. 1:3; 2:9; Matt. 28:18).

The glory refers to the splendour related to His person. His head was once crowned with thorns; now it is crowned with glory and honour.

There is a Man in the glory who is crowned with glory, sitting on the throne above all! May we look away unto Him, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who sits at the right hand of God!

Acts 2:36 tells us that the ascended Christ is the Lord of all to possess all. He is the owner, the possessor of all things; Jesus is the Lord, the possessor of all things!

The lordship of Christ is one of the most important aspects of what He has obtained in His ascension (10:36).

Since the lordship of Christ was fully established in His ascension, we as members of the Body of Christ need to realise this heavenly fact (Eph. 1:20-21).

The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. The worldly kings may expand their empire to possess more land, more riches, and more possessions, but Christ is the Lord of all.

Jesus is King, He is the Lord of all, the possessor of all the countries and lands on the earth!

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Matt. 28:18 And He subjected all things under His feet and gave Him to be Head over all things to the church. Eph. 1:22America is the Lord’s! Great Britain is the Lord’s! Russia is the Lord’s! Iran is the Lord’s! All the countries in Africa are the Lord’s! China is the Lord’s!

And because we are joined to Him as our ascended Head, one with Him in ascension, we are one with the Lord of all and the Possessor of the earth!

This means that, just as God made Paul the owner of those with him on the ship on the way to Rome, so we today are the owners of those around us, for we are one with Christ in the heavenlies!

We need to live a life in ascendancy, one with Christ, expressing Him, and ministering Christ to others. Hallelujah!

The ascended Christ is God’s anointed to carry out God’s commission to work out the spreading of the gospel and the building up of the church (Acts 1:8).

We preach Him, we minister Him, and we propagate Him.

He has been appointed by God as a Man into His office as the Christ to carry out God’s commission, and He has been enthroned as the Lord of all in His ascension to possess all things!

When we preach the gospel one with Him, others are pricked in their hearts and repent to receive the gift of forgiveness and the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:37-41).

Lord Jesus, we praise You as the ascended Christ who was exalted by God and was given the kingship, the lordship, and the headship over all things! Hallelujah, the ascended Christ is on the throne in the glory, and He has all the authority in the universe! Amen, Lord, we praise You and we give You all the glory, for You are the Lord of lords and the King of kings! Hallelujah, Christ in His ascension is Head over all things to the church, and we are His Body, being joined to Him to share in all that He is and has done. Amen, Lord, we want to live one spirit with You so that we may be in Your ascendancy and rule and reign with You over all things! Grant us to grow in life unto maturity so that we may reign with Christ today! Hallelujah, the ascended Christ is the Lord of all to possess all! Amen, Lord, may we realise this heavenly fact and may we remain under the divine transmission of all that You are to the church! Praise the Lord, the ascended Christ is God’s anointed to carry out God’s commission to work out the spreading of the gospel and the building up of the church!

In his speaking concerning Christ in chapters 2 through 5 of Acts, Peter did not refer to Him as the Son of God…Rather, in these chapters Peter stressed that the Lord Jesus is a man. The reason for this emphasis is that the Jews crucified Christ as a man, regarding Him merely as a despised man, a Nazarene, a person of low estate. Therefore, Peter said that the One regarded by the Jews as a lowly Nazarene was approved by God in all that He did…Peter’s speaking of Christ produced the propagation of Christ. On the day of Pentecost this propagation included the three thousand souls who were saved…From this we see that the speaking of Christ surely leads to the propagation of Christ in those who believe in Him. Furthermore, the believers as Christ’s propagation become the church. Therefore, in chapter 2 we see that the speaking of Christ produced a church in Jerusalem. In this chapter we have both the propagation of Christ and the church life.

The moment a king ascends the throne, his kingdom is established, and he begins to exercise his royal authority. However, the existence and extent of that kingdom depend on whether the king’s rule is acknowledged and carried out. In the same way, Christ’s ascension marks the inauguration of the kingdom, but its full manifestation will come only when “the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ.”

Whether in Genesis 7 or Acts 1, there is a forty-day interval between the resurrection and the ascension. During this time, Jesus “presented Himself alive to the apostles by many irrefutable proofs, appearing to them through a period of forty days and speaking the things concerning the kingdom of God.” The result was the perfecting of the believers’ faith, enabling them to transition into a new stage of reigning in life under the ruling of the Spirit.

As God, the Lord was the Lord all the time (Luke 1:43; John 11:21; 20:28). But as man, He was made the Lord in His ascension after He brought His humanity into God in His resurrection. And as God’s sent and anointed One, He was Christ from the time that He was born (Luke 2:11; Matt. 1:16; John 1:41; Matt. 16:16). But as such a One, He was also officially made the very Christ of God in His ascension.

The Lord was made Lord, the Lord of all, to possess all; and He was made Christ, God’s Anointed (Heb. 1:9), to carry out God’s commission.

What a wonderful Christ we have – He’s in ascension, enthroned far above all in glory, and the Lord of all to possess all.

As we enjoy and speak this Christ, we propagate Him for His reproduction and for the producing of the church.

Oh Lord, keep us enjoying You and speaking You today. Thank You for being in ascension, propagating Yourself through us for the building up of the church!

Amen, Lord Jesus.

Lord possesses all things and Christ is the commission to carry out God’s work. The same man who was regarded as lowly by the Jews is approved by God in all things.

Yes, Lord, spread in us today and possess all things and all that we are for the building up of the church

In ascension, God made our Jesus the Lord of all to possess all things, including us. As the Lord, He possesses all things.

As the Christ, He has received a commission to work out the spreading of the gospel and the building up of the church.

We can rest assured that our Lord Jesus Christ has been approved by God to be the centre of His administration.

Christ’s ascension is a matter of position, and position is a matter of authority.

Hallelujah brother. We have a Christ in the heavens who is Lord of all and He is working out God’s intention on Earth through His humanly-divine servants.

Amen, brother! Having resurrected, the Lord ascended as a man, Hallelujah! Exalted to the highest position in the universe as both Lord (to possess all) and Christ (to carry out God’s commission in spreading the gospel and building the church)!

This He does now through His believers (His continuation) for the propagation of Himself causing sinners to repent, be added to the church to produce God’s Kingdom!

Today, may we open to be filled in spirit, vitalised as factors of His spreading, speak the word with all boldness unhindered, build His church for His Kingdom!

We need to realise that the Lord Jesus was not only born as the Christ but to be the Christ of God as a man, having been crucified, raised from the dead to be at the right of God in the heavens as the Lord of all in His ascension.

He has the Kingship, the Lordship, and Headship, possessing all things – including us – with the commission to propagate Himself through our speaking the gospel for the producing of the churches for the building up of the church!

Lord, propagate Yourself for Your building through us! Praise the Lord as the resurrected and ascended Christ and for His propagation and reproduction to produce the church!
