Christ is the Threefold Seed in Humanity: seed of the woman, of Abraham, and of David

And if you are of Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, heirs according to promise. Gal. 3:29

Christ is the threefold seed in humanity for dispensing God into man, destroying Satan and saving the believers from sin and death, the blessing, and for bringing man into sharing His kingship in resurrection; He is both the seed of the woman and the seed of Abraham and the seed of David.

What a wonderful Christ we have!

Our unique focus in our Christian life should be on Christ, for He is the center and the circumference of our Christian faith. We have nothing apart from Christ, and apart from Christ as our life and everything, God gives us nothing else.

The whole Bible hangs on this threefold seed – Christ as the threefold seed in humanity.

In Gen. 3:15, He is being prophesied and promised as being the seed of the woman. In Gen. 12, He is promised and prophesied as the seed of Abraham. And in 2 Sam. 7:12-14, He is promised and prophesied as the seed of David.

Christ was called the seed of only three persons in the Bible: the seed of a woman, the seed of Abraham, and the seed of David.

If we look at the genealogy of Christ in Matthew chapter 1, it opens with the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the Son of Abraham.

He was born of Mary, a virgin, and He is the seed of the woman. He was born in the lineage of David, and He is the seed of David. And He was born of Abraham to be the seed of Abraham.

This is not by accident; this is according to God’s eternal economy. We need to appreciate the importance of the threefold seed in humanity.

In eternity past, the Triune God had a council where They made a counsel, which became His economy. In that economy, there is a threefold positive intention.

First, it is to make man in His image and His likeness for man man to be one with Him, express Him, and represent Him (Gen. 1:26). God intends to gain man; He made man in a special way, for man was made in the image of God, so that God may have an expression in humanity.

The invisible God desires to have a visible expression; the means He chose for this expression is man. We men are created in a special way; we were made in God’s image and according to His likeness for the unique purpose of expressing God.

The second intention in God’s economy is to give man His dominion over all the earth so that man may represent God in His administration (Gen. 1:26-28).

First, man is to express God, and second, man is to represent God. God doesn’t just want to be expressed through man; He wants to give man authority so that man would subdue the earth and rule over all the creatures – the fish in the sea, the fowl in the air, all the cattle, and especially the creeping things.

The third positive intention in God’s economy is that man would receive God as his life to be man’s inward constitution so that man would become a corporate person, the counterpart of the Triune God (Gen. 2:8-9, 22-24).

God wants to come into man, fill man, and saturate man so that God becomes man’s inward constitution; then, man is built up corporately to be part of God’s counterpart. Hallelujah!

And God obtains all these three positive intentions by Christ coming as the threefold seed in humanity – the seed of the woman, the seed of Abraham, and the seed of David.

Christ is the Seed of Abraham for the Blessing of All the Families of the Earth

In order that the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Gal. 3:14

Christ as the seed of Abraham is for the blessing of all the families of the earth (Gen. 12:2-3, 7; 17:7-8).

God promised Abraham, even made a covenant with him and with his seed, that He would bless Abraham and make him a blessing, so that all the families of the earth would be blessed in Abraham’s seed.

God promised Abraham a seed, which humanly speaking was Isaac, but spiritually speaking, is Christ. God didn’t promise Abraham more seeds but one seed, who is Christ (Gal. 3:16).

Abraham, of course, might have understood that God would give him a good piece of land and a son, but the reality of the promise given to Abraham is Christ Himself, who is the reality of the good land and of the seed.

And I will make of you a great nation, / And I will bless you / And make your name great; / And you shall be a blessing. And I will bless those who bless you, / And him who curses you I will curse; / And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed. Gen. 12:2-3The unique seed of Abraham as the last Adam became the life-giving Spriit, who is the blessing of Abraham (the reality of the good land), for the dispensing of Himself into the believers of Christ to make them the corporate seed of Abraham (Gal. 3:14, 16, 29; John 14:17-20; 1 Cor. 15:45b; John 12:24; Isa. 53:10). Amen!

The blessing of Abraham refers to the promised Spirit, who is the reality of Christ (see Gal. 3:14). In Abraham and his seed, all the nations of the earth are blessed.

Christ is the seed of Abraham for the blessing of all the families on the earth. God called Abraham, who was an idol worshipper, and appeared to him; He promised Abraham the good land and the seed, telling him that the nations and families of the earth will be blessed in him.

The seed and the land typify Christ who is the last Adam becoming the life-giving Spirit (1 Cor. 15:45). The all-inclusive, life-giving Spirit is the blessing both to us, God’s people, and to all the nations on the earth. Hallelujah!

The blessing is not something physical or outward; it is not a nice car, a nice house, or a good family. The blessing refers to the Triune God Himself as our blessing.

God went through a process to be incarnated in the Lord Jesus Christ and then die on the cross and be resurrected to be a life-giving Spirit.

The life-giving Spirit is now the reality of all that God is to be our blessing. The blessing in Gen. 12:3 consists of the blessings of God’s creation and redemption, including all that God wants to give man in this age and in the age to come.

We are so blessed. We are all today under the blessing of God, enjoying the blessing, which blessing is our God Himself.

All that God is and has, both in this age and in the coming age, is for us to enjoy as our blessing. How can we enjoy this blessing? It is by the Spirit, whom Christ became.

Christ became the life-giving Spirit to dispense Himself into us as the blessing, and He dispenses all His riches into our being. Because God today is the Spirit, we can enjoy God, God is made real to us, and we can participate in the reality of all that God is. Praise the Lord!

The seed of Abraham is not only our Redeemer and Saviour; He is also the life-giving Spirit to come into us, regenerate us, and make us part of the corporate seed of Abraham.

Christ as the Spirit is a transfigured descendant of Abraham, and we can enjoy Him as the top blessing, the consummate blessing, to us believers in Christ.

But to Abraham were the promises spoken and to his seed. He does not say, And to the seeds, as concerning many, but as concerning one: "And to your seed," who is Christ. Gal. 3:16Our Saviour today not only saves us outwardly but even more, comes into us inwardly to dwell in us as the Spirit with our spirit (1 Cor. 6:17).

We need to seek Him, know Him, enjoy Him, and experience Him so that we may express Him. May we realise that we have the life-giving Spirit with our spirit, and this One is the seed of Abraham to bring us the blessing of all that God is.

He is the buoyant One within us, for on one hand He is the Man in the glory, and on the other hand, He is the Spirit with our spirit dispensing all that He is into us.

As we enjoy Christ as the seed of Abraham, we become Abraham’s seed, and we enjoy the consummation of the processed Triune God as our divine inheritance, our spiritual blessing for eternity (Acts 26:18; Eph. 1:14; Gal. 3:14).

Praise the Lord, our spiritual blessing for eternity is to inherit the consummated Spirit, the consummation of the processed Triune God, as our inheritance!

Today we have the indwelling Spirit in our spirit, and we can enjoy Him and participate in all His riches, for Christ has become the Spirit to be the transfigured seed of Abraham in our spirit!

Lord Jesus, we want to enjoy You as the seed of Abraham who was transfigured to become the all-inclusive, life-giving Spirit coming into our spirit! Hallelujah, the blessing of Abraham is the promised Spirit, who is the reality of Christ. Thank You, Lord, for not only being incarnated to deal with everything negative and to express God, but also being resurrected to be the life-giving Spirit as our blessing! Hallelujah, we can now enjoy the top blessing, the consummate blessing – God Himself as the life-giving Spirit in our spirit! We love You, Lord, and we just want to enjoy You! We turn our heart to You. We exercise our spirit to enjoy the indwelling Spirit in our spirit. Hallelujah for the life-giving Spirit with our spirit, the reality of the blessing God promised to Abraham! Amen, Lord, we enjoy and experience You as the transfigured seed of Abraham in our spirit and we also become part of the seed of Abraham! Praise the Lord, our spiritual blessing for eternity is to inherit the consummated Spirit as our inheritance!

Christ as the Seed of David Carrying out God’s Economy to Dispense God and bring us to Share in His Kingship

...I will raise up your seed after you, which will come forth from your body, and I will establish his kingdom....I will be his Father, and he will be My son... 2 Sam. 7:12, 14

2 Sam. 7:12-14 is the Lord’s word to David, promising him a seed. The seed of David was not just Solomon but Christ; Rom. 1:3 says that Christ in the flesh came out of the seed of David.

The divine economy and the divine dispensing are seen in the promise of the seed of David (2 Sam. 7:12-14a; Matt. 22:42-45; Rom. 1:3; Rev. 22:16; Acts 2:30-31; Matt. 16:16-18; Rev. 20:4, 6).

Christ as the seed of David refers to the resurrected Christ, who carries out God’s New Testament economy for the dispensing of the processed Triune God into the members of His Body so that they may share His kingship in His resurrection in the eternal kingdom. Hallelujah!

Christ as the seed of David refers to the resurrected Christ; He is the seed of David becoming the Son of God.

He is not only the only begotten Son but the firstborn Son possessing both divinity and humanity for the reproduction of the many sons of God to be the many members of the Body of Christ. Hallelujah!

This is for the dispensing of the processed Triune God into us as the many members of the Body of Christ, so that we may share in His kingship in resurrection.

As the seed of David, we are being reproduced to be the many members of Christ, to be part of the kingdom of God to represent God’s rule and reign. Christ is the seed of David both in the organic aspect and in the aspect of the kingdom.

Organically, He is the seed of David coming out of David according to the flesh, and He was designated the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness. In this aspect, Christ dispenses God as life into us to make us sons of God, the corporate seed of David.

In the aspect of the kingdom, Christ is the seed of David to bring in the kingdom of God and make us, the many members of the Body of Christ, those who share in the kingship so that together we may bring in God’s kingdom to the earth.

The great mountain, the kingdom of God that fills the whole earth in Daniel 2:34-35, is the corporate threefold seed in humanity, which includes all the believers in Christ (Mark 4:26).

On the one hand, we enjoy Christ as the seed of David becoming the Son of God, and we become sons of God, born of God to be part of God’s enlargement and continuation on the earth.

On the other hand, Christ as the seed of David brings us into participation in His kingship so that we may bring in the kingdom of God on the earth.

The Triune God, the complete aeternal God, one day became a threefold seed in humanity.

First, He destroyed God’s enemies (as the seed of the woman). Second, He caused Himself to be consummated for the blessing of God’ chosen people (as the seed of Abraham).

Third, He is the seed of David to bring in the kingdom of God. Christ came as the threefold seed in humanity to destroy God’s enemy, become a blessing to the believers in Christ, and bring in the kingdom of God. Hallelujah!

Concerning His Son, who came out of the seed of David according to the flesh. Rom. 1:3 I Jesus have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright morning star. Rev. 22:16He not only does things for us or in us; He also incorporates us into Himself, so that we become part of the corporate seed of the woman, the corporate seed of Abraham, and the corporate seed of David.

Eventually, as we partake of and enjoy Christ as the threefold seed in humanity, we become a great mountain filling the whole earth to bring in the kingdom of God.

Christ as the threefold seed in humanity first dealt with all the enemies, then He became the consummated Triune God as our full blessing, and third, He made us His kingdom to fill the earth and the heavens, causing the whole earth to become His great kingdom.

Praise the Lord, the enemies are gone, the blessing is here, and we are in the kingdom!

Through Christ as the threefold seed in humanity, the enemies are gone, the blessing is here, and we are in the kingdom; this is the revelation of the entire Bible.

May we enjoy Christ as the threefold seed in humanity so that God’s economy may be carried out in us and with us today!

Lord Jesus, thank You for coming as the seed of David, the resurrected Christ, to carry out God’s New Testament economy for God’s dispensing! Hallelujah, Christ as the Spirit dispenses Himself into us to make us children of God and members of the Body of Christ so that we may share in His kingship! Wow, Lord, thank You for giving us the right to participate in the kingship so that we may be one with You for the bringing in of the kingdom of God on the earth! May You grow in us today. May Your kingdom come in us a little more today. Amen, Lord, we want to enjoy You as the seed of the woman who destroyed Satan, the seed of Abraham who is our blessing, and the seed of David for us to share in the kingship! Praise the Lord, through Christ as the threefold seed in humanity, the enemies are gone, the blessing is here, and we are in the kingdom! Amen, Lord, defeat the enemy in us! Be our blessing for our enjoyment today! We are one with You for Your kingdom to come on the earth! Praise the Lord for our Christ, the threefold seed in humanity for the fulfilment of God’s eternal economy!

The divine economy and the divine dispensing are also seen in the promise of the seed of David (2 Sam. 7:12-14a; Matt. 1:1, 6; 22:42-45; Rom. 1:3; Rev. 22:16). The seed of David refers to the resurrected Christ, who carries out God’s New Testament economy for the dispensing of the processed Triune God into the members of His Body (Acts 2:30-31; Matt. 16:16-18). Christ as God’s sure mercies shown to David is for the dispensing of God Himself into all the believers of Christ in His resurrection. This is for the believers in Christ to share His kingship in His resurrection in the eternal kingdom of God (2 Tim. 2:12; Rev. 20:4, 6). God’s full salvation is to deliver us out of the hand of Satan and out of sin and death, to bring us into the full inheritance of God Himself as our blessing, and to cause us to share the kingship with Christ as His co-kings in the kingdom age.

What a wonderful Christ we have!

He is the threefold seed in humanity for the fulfilling of God’s eternal economy.

In particular, He is the seed of Abraham to be our blessing. Our blessing is the Spirit, whom Christ became through resurrection, and who now indwells us to be our enjoyment and experience.

Lord Jesus, keep us enjoying You as our blessing. Hallelujah, we are the seed of Abraham, and we enjoy God in Christ as the Spirit, our consummate blessing! Praise the Lord!

God’s full salvation is to deliver us out of the hand of Satan and out of sin and death, to bring us into the full inheritance of God Himself as our blessing, and to cause us to share the kingship with Christ as His co-kings in the kingdom age.

This is the top blessing, the consummate blessing, to us sinners – God Himself as the life-giving Spirit for our full enjoyment in time!

Such a blessing is seen in:

(1) The promises of God spoken to Abraham and to his seed – the believers in Christ, who are Abraham’s seed, to inherit the consummated Spirit, the consummation of the processed Triune God, as their divine inheritance—their spiritual blessing for eternity (Acts 26:18; Eph. 1:14a; Gal. 3:14).

(2) The seed of David – (Christ as the sure mercies shown to David), referring to the resurrected Christ, who carries out God’s New Testament economy for the dispensing of the processed Triune God into the members of His body for God’s eternal kingdom.

Wow, what an unfolding of the 3-fold seed through resurrection to be our consummate blessing in the Spirit! We praise Thee our Triune God!

As the seed of Abraham, we are also the seed of Christ, who is the one seed who became the life-giving Spirit as the promised blessing, the reality of the good land.

Today, the consummated Spirit of the processed Triune God is the topmost blessing, enabling us to be buoyant in this age, through the dispensing of the resurrected Christ, the seed of David, to cause us to share in the kingship with Christ as co-kings in the Kingdom age.

Praise the Lord through Christ as the threefold seed in humanity the enemies are gone, the blessing is here and we are in the Kingdom! Amen!

We are the seed of Abraham and we enjoy Him as the consummated Spirit – God Himself – as the topmost blessing!

God called Abraham so that he would go into Canaan, live there, express God, and carry out the authority of the heavens. God intended to give the land to his descendants. Through him and his descendants, God intended to claim the land for Himself and to carry out His authority and express His glory in the land. This was God’s first reason for calling Abraham.

In Matthew 6 the Lord Jesus taught the disciples to pray, saying, “Our Father who is in the heavens, Your name be sanctified; Your kingdom come; Your will be done, as in heaven, so also on earth” (vv. 9-10). God’s intention is for His people to bring His authority and His will to earth. Today the church should be the place where God’s glory is expressed and the place where His authority and will are carried out. Wherever God’s people obey His will and allow His authority to spread among them, that is the place where God’s authority and God’s will are executed. God wants to gain a group of men on earth to be His people. This means that God wants to gain a way among men so that His authority and His will can be done on earth as they are done in heaven. This was God’s goal in calling Abraham. It is also His goal in calling us to be His people.
