Christ became Wisdom to us from God to be our Righteousness and our Sanctification

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom to us from God: both righteousness and sanctification and redemption. 1 Cor. 1:30

It is of God that we are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom to us from God, both righteousness and sanctification and redemption; we can enjoy Christ as wisdom from God to us and have Him as our subjective righteousness, our daily sanctification, and the redemption of our body. Praise the Lord!

1 Cor. 1:30 is a very familiar verse, and at the same time it is an intriguing verse.

First, it tells us that we are in Christ Jesus, and this is of God. Then, to those who are in Christ Jesus, He is wisdom to us from God. Finally, this wisdom to us from God is both righteousness and sanctification and redemption.

We need to be enlightened to see what wisdom is and how Christ is wisdom to us from God.

First of all, we need to realize that, before Christ can be in us, we have to be put into Christ. God cannot deal with us directly; He can deal with us only when we’re in Christ.

He first puts us in Christ, and then God can give everything to us. Whatever Christ passed through and by us, being put into Him, that is what we also pass through.

The first thing God does is, when we believe into Christ, to put us in Christ.

This is the same as John 15; we first need to abide in Him, and then He will abide in us. God does everything in us and with us through Christ and in Christ.

In His marvelous wisdom, God put us in Christ. Now that we are in Christ by faith, Christ became wisdom to us from God. In a wonderful way, Christ became wisdom to us from God.

It doesn’t say that Christ is wisdom to us from God or that Christ gives us wisdom but that Christ became wisdom to us from God.

We may have prayed in the past that God would give us wisdom to pass an exam or ace the test, or we may ask for wisdom to deal with our boss at work, our children at home, and our neighbours around us.

We may think that God gives us a package of wisdom, something that we need for this time.

But God gives us only Christ, for Christ became wisdom to us from God. God has no interest for us to be wiser or to give us a dose of wisdom; He is giving His Son to give wisdom to us from God.

After passing through the processes of incarnation, human living, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension, Christ became wisdom to us from God. Praise the Lord!

The expression “wisdom to us from God” indicates something present, practical, experiential, and ongoing in the way of transmission.

We don’t need to ask for more wisdom to be smarter, to handle the situations, or to pass the exams.

We need Christ to become our wisdom, even for Christ to be wisdom to us from God.

Many times we find ourselves in a complicated situation, even a seemingly unsolvable situation.

We don’t know what is the way, whether to go right or left, so we come to the Lord to ask for wisdom to find a solution.

What the Lord gives us, however, is not wisdom apart from Himself; He gives Himself to us for us to enjoy and partake of.

For Christ to become wisdom to us from God indicates that there’s a transmission of Christ as wisdom from God to us for our daily experience.

We need Christ continually as wisdom to us from God. We need Him continuously!

And it is by enjoying Christ in our spirit in our contact with the Lord that Christ becomes wisdom to us from God!

In particular, as seen in 1 Cor. 1:30, Christ became wisdom to us from God in three aspects: righteousness and sanctification and redemption.

Christ became Wisdom to us from God to be Our Subjective Righteousness, Christ Lived out of us

With a view to the demonstrating of His righteousness in the present time, so that He might be righteous and the One who justifies him who is of the faith of Jesus. Rom. 3:26

Christ became wisdom to us from God as three vital things in God’s salvation: righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.

He is our righteousness for our past, by which we have been justified by God, that we might be reborn in our spirit to receive the divine life (Rom. 5:18).

Hallelujah, when we believed into the Lord Jesus, God gave Christ to us and even clothed us with Christ as our rightoeusness!

In order for us to come to God and enjoy what God is, we need Christ as our righteousness.

When we consider God, the first thing we need to consider is His righteousness.

To touch God, to fellowship with God, the first requirement is righteousness.

So then as [it was] through one offense unto condemnation to all men, so also [it was] through one righteous act unto justification of life to all men. Rom. 5:18 With a view to the demonstrating of His righteousness in the present time, so that He might be righteous and the One who justifies him who is of the faith of Jesus. Rom. 3:26
Without righteousness, we cannot dare to approach the righteous and holy God.

No sinful and unrighteous person can come close to God.

But praise the Lord, we can take Christ as our righteousness, for Christ became wisdom to us from God to be our righteousness!

God has His government, and in his government He cannot allow sinful men such as us to come straight into the Holy of Holies to contact Him.

As seen in the design of the tabernacle, we need to come first to the outer court with the altar, offering Christ as our sin offering and our burnt offering.

By this we enter into a realm in which it is all righteousness, signified by the white linen.

Day by day, we need to start at the altar, by confessing our sins and repenting before the Lord.

If we come forward to God, we need to let Him shine on us and confess our sins.

We need to apply Christ and take Him as our sin offering, our trespass offering, our peace offering, our meal offering, and our burnt offering.

Christ as the reality of all the offerings is God’s provision for us to come forward to God and have a righteous stand before Him.

God’s desire is for us to enjoy Him and experience Him in a deeper way.

However, as we learn to come to the Lord, drawing near to Him to contact Him and fellowship with Him, we must first take care of His righteousness.

We need to confess our sins by coming into His light, handling the Christ who is God’s provision as the all-inclusive offering to be our replacement.

We lay our hands on Him, we identify ourselves with Him, and we take Him as our righteousness for us to approach God.

We confess our sins, and the blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God cleanses us from every sin (1 John 1:7, 9).

This is on the objective side. On the subjective side, Christ is our righteousness not only for our past but even more, He is our present righteousness in our daily living.

Christ lives in us to express Himself through us and enable us to be right and just not toward God and man, but toward everything else.

The more we contact the Lord, confess our sins, and take Him as wisdom to us from God in our spirit, the more He becomes our life, our portion, and our wisdom.

Him who did not know sin He made sin on our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Cor. 5:21
Then, in our living we can be righteous in every word, deed, movement, and action. In ourselves and by ourselves, we are not right even with ourselves; but when we contact the Lord and take Christ as our righteousness, we are justified by God and we allow Him to live in us.

God justifies us by approving us according to the standard of His righteousness (Rom. 3:26).

As we take and enjoy Christ as wisdom to us from God, He becomes our subjective righteousness; He lives in us a life that is justified by God and that is always acceptable to God (Phil. 3:9).

Hallelujah, Christ is the One dwelling in us, the believers in Christ, so that He may live in us and for us a life that can be justified by God and that is always acceptable to God!

This is to live Christ and express Him, having Him as our lived out righteousness, our subjective righteousness.

May we see that this is wisdom to us from God, that Christ is both our objective righteousness before God and our lived out righteousness before all men.

May we exercise our spirit so that we may become righteous!

The more we contact the Lord, enjoy Him, and contact Him, the more righteous we become in Him.

He works Himself into us, and He lives in us; eventually, by having Christ wrought into us, we become the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Cor. 5:21).

Lord Jesus, thank You for becoming wisdom to us from God to be our righteousness. Hallelujah, when we believe into the Lord Jesus, God clothes us with Christ! Praise the Lord, Christ is our righteousness! Amen, Lord, we do not want to try harder to please God and satisfy His requirements; we simply come to You and take You as our righteousness. We lay our hands on You, Lord Jesus, and we take You as our trespass offering, our sin offering, our meal offering, our peace offering, and our burnt offering. We take You as the reality of all the offerings so that we may be acceptable to God in Christ. Hallelujah, it is of God that we are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom to us from God! Amen, Lord, we want to let You live in us and for us a life that can be justified by God and that is always acceptable to God! Live in us today, Lord Jesus! Become our subjective righteousness, our lived out righteousness! We want to live You as our righteousness subjectively so that we may become the righteousness of God in Christ!

Christ became Wisdom to us from God to be our Sanctification by which we are Sanctified and Transformed

But now, having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end, eternal life. Rom. 6:22

Christ became wisdom to us from God to be our righteousness (for our past) and our sanctification (for our present).

Hallelujah, Christ is our sanctification for our present, by which we are being sanctified in our soul, that is, transformed in our mind, emotion, and will, with His divine life (Rom. 6:19, 22)!

God’s righteousness is perfect, forever perfect, and it can never be improved upon.

God is righteous, Christ is our righteousness, and we can experience Him as our righteousness both objectively and subjectively.

There’s no need for improvement or change; this is righteousness.

Because it is written, "You shall be holy because I am holy." 1 Pet. 1:16 Through which He has granted to us precious and exceedingly great promises that through these you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption which is in the world by lust. 2 Pet. 1:4
However, as we go on experiencing Christ as wisdom to us from God, we need to be sanctified.

To be sanctified is also positional and dispositional.

Positionally, we are sanctified by being saved from the world and put into Christ and into the church.

Dispositionally, we are sanctified by having God’s holy element wrought into us to transform us and make us the same as God is, holy in nature.

Christ became wisdom to us from God to be our sanctification, taking care of our present.

In our natural man, we are altogether not holy, not sanctified unto God; however, the Lord is working Himself into us so that He may sanctify us.

The divine element of God is being wrought into us little by little and day by day so that we may be sanctified, separated unto God and be made holy even as He is holy (1 Pet. 1:16).

This can be seen in the picture of the tabernacle after entering into the Holy Place, where we have the showbread, the bread of life, and we have the lampstand shining.

We enjoy the bread of life and the light of life, and we have the resurrected Christ as the sweetness for our acceptance before God (the incense altar).

As we spend time with the Lord in His presence and in His word, we are being sanctified day by day, and we are made more like Him.

Day by day, His divine elements are being added into us. Christ became wisdom to us from God to be our sanctification for our daily living.

As we go through our daily living, we encounter many situations, and we find ourselves lacking patience and endurance, and so many times we lose our temper. Oh Lord!

We may pray that the Lord would help us, for we know it’s wrong to lose our temper and not to have patience.

We know it is wrong when we say certain things and we react to a person in a particular way, so we repent before the Lord and ask Him for more wisdom, even to help us deal with our temper.

We may think that God will give us some help, a burst of energy or satisfaction, or some sort of power to help us overcome our problems and weaknesses.

But actually, even if we get such a power, it is short-lived, for God doesn’t want to just help us overcome – He wants to give us Christ as our sanctification.

Christ became wisdom to us from God to be our sanctification. Sanctification and holiness are just Christ. Christ is our sanctification.

When we gain more of Christ, we have patience and humility.

When we gain more of Christ by spending time with Him and allowing Him to work Himself into us, we become holy.

And these things were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. 1 Cor. 6:11 And the God of peace Himself sanctify you wholly, and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thes. 5:23
As we call on the name of the Lord continually, we gain Christ as our holiness in a subjective way.

This means that we experience Him as our daily and hourly sanctification.

May we enjoy and experience Christ as our sanctification day by day and hour by hour so that every aspect of our daily walk, including our appearance, our attitude, and our relationships, would be Christ.

May we exercise our spirit to call on the name of the Lord from the depth of our being so that we may be saeparated from anything that is common and from being common, and so that we may be saturated with Christ Himself (1 Cor. 1:2; 6:11; 2 Pet. 1:2; 1 Thes. 5:23).

The more we enjoy Christ, the more we become holy, separated from anything common, and marked out, even absolutely different from the worldly people.

This is Christ becoming our holiness in our experience.

Christ wants to sanctify us not only in position but also in disposition, so that we may be set apart to God from everything common.

As we remain under His divine dispensing, as we receive the Triune God in Christ as the Spirit being dispensed into us, we are sanctified in our spirit, soul, and body, and we are made holy, full of the divine element.

Lord Jesus, thank You for becoming wisdom to us from God to be our sanctification for our daily living. Hallelujah, the divine element of God is daily being transmitted into us to sanctify us. Lord, we open to You. We open to Your divine dispensing. Add more of Yourself to our being. Sanctify us in our very nature by saturating us with Your divine element. We call on Your name from the depths of our being. We just want to gain Christ as our holiness in a subjective way. We want to experience You, Lord Jesus, as our daily and hourly sanctification. May every aspect of our daily walk be Christ. We exercise our spirit and we call on Your name. Oh Lord Jesus! Sanctify us more today. Have a way to separate us from everything that is common and to add Your holy element into our being. We take You, Lord Jesus, as our sanctification. Hallelujah, Christ is our sanctification! Amen, Lord, sanctify us in our very disposition! Make us the same as You are in Your holy nature!

Sanctification is more than holiness; it is holiness “to us” in a subjective and experiential way. Whereas holiness refers to the thing itself, sanctification is holiness becoming our experience. By calling on the name of the Lord continually, we gain Christ as our holiness in a subjective way and experience Him as our daily and hourly sanctification. Day by day we need to experience Christ as our sanctification in order that every aspect of our daily walk, including our appearance, our attitude, and our relationships, would be Christ. The more we exercise the spirit to call on the name of the Lord Jesus, the more we are separated from what is common and from being common ourselves. The Christ we enjoy causes us to become holy, sanctified, and separated. In this way, we are no longer common; instead, we are sanctified, separated, marked out, and absolutely different from the worldly people. This is sanctification—Christ becoming our holiness in our experience. Christ as the sanctification to us from God is sanctifying us not only in position but also in disposition so that we can be set apart to God from everything common. He is both the power of our sanctification and the factor for our sanctification. Through Him, the divine dispensing is continually transmitted into us, sanctifying our whole being—spirit, soul, and body— making us holy, full of the divine element.

Christ became wisdom to us from God – both righteousness and sanctification and redemption.

He is our righteousness not just for the past but also for Him to live in us as our subjective righteousness.

He sanctifies us not only positionally but also dispositionally as we fall on the Lord and remain in the organic union with Him.

Oh Lord. We want to touch You by calling on Your name. May You live in us. May You sanctify us. Saturate us with Your holy nature. Live in us today!

Amen, live in us today Lord.

His righteousness has taken care of our past as our objective righteousness.

In our natural life we are unholy and not sanctified unto God so we need His subjective righteousness working in us too, day by day to separate us unto God.

Lord Jesus we call on Your name, we want to experience You as our sanctification

Jesus became our wisdom and power for our full salvation through righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

a) For our spirit (yesterday)

We are made righteous in Him by faith through His justification.
That is our instant regeneration taking place negatively and positively as follows

1) our all sinful nature of Adam was terminated and

2) our new creation, the new man, was germinated for growing to maturity.

b) for our soul (today)

And then the slow process of transformation, which is growth to be matured is taking place in our sanctification.

This is where we are separated from what is common and from being common ourselves. In this way, we are no longer common; instead, we are sanctified, separated, marked out, and absolutely different from the worldly people.

This sanctification can be gained through our strong relationship with the lord by calling His name, oh Lord Jesus! Every time and everywhere unceasingly.

c) for our body (tomorrow)

This could be the redemption of our mortal body, by which we will be transfigured in our body with His divine life to have His glorious likeness (Phil. 3:21) at the end.

Praise the lord for the new revelation of His word every morning!
