The only way to enter the human kingdom, the realm of the human life, is through birth from human parents; the only way to see and enter into the kingdom of God is through regeneration, by being born of God.
The kingdom of God is another realm: it is different from the human realm, and it is not just the divine realm; it is the divine and mystical realm where the Spirit of Jesus Christ (who is not just the Spirit of God but the consummated Spirit) is everything to us.
God’s desire is to obtain a corporate expression in humanity, and for this He became a man, putting on humanity, and then He became a life-giving Spirit to be received by man and to have man enter into Him as a divine and mystical realm.
When a man is saved, he is born again – he is born of God to be a God-man, a human being who has the human life and at the same time has the divine life in his spirit. Through regeneration we were born into the kingdom of God, which is a divine and mystical realm. Hallelujah, we are born of God!
Just as we as human beings partake of the human nature and enjoy all the riches, virtues, and benefits of the human nature, so we believers as God-men partake of the divine nature and enjoy all the divine attributes, riches, and benefits of the divine nature.
As we contact the Lord day by day by calling on His name, we breathe Him in as the living air, we drink Him as the consummated Spirit, and we get constituted with Him; inwardly, without our knowledge or feeling, we are being reconstituted with the divine element to be transformed in our entire being and be conformed to the image of Christ.
We are partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption which is in the world by lust (2 Pet. 1:4); we can now participate in God’s divinity by enjoying Him and experiencing Him, and His mind becomes our mind, His life becomes our life, His feelings become our feelings, and His desire becomes our desire.
Little by little, day by day, and bit by bit the Lord is working Himself into our being as we cooperate with Him by entering into and being a part of the divine and mystical realm, and the result is that we become the same as He is in life, nature, expression, and function, but not in His Godhead, so that He may gain a corporate expression on earth!
Every Believer should be a Divine and Mystical Person who is Human yet Lives Divinely
The Lord Jesus was not merely a man: He was the first God-man, a man mingled with God, a man who lived in oneness with God to express God and define God. Everything that the Lord did was in the divine and mystical realm.
For example, when the Pharisees brought to Him a sinful woman caught in the act of adultery, He eventually said to her, Has no one condemned you? Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more (John 8:10-11). Christ expressed God in a mystical way even in the way He forgave a sinner.
On another occasion He had more than 5000 people who were hungry, and He didn’t just feed them; He blessed the bread and the fish by taking the Father as the source, and then fed them, after He made sure they are arranged in groups; and at the end, He had His disciples gather the remains.
The Lord Jesus was a divine and mystical person living in the divine and mystical realm, doing everything in a divine and mystical way, and He wants that we would be the same persons today. As believers in Christ we need to be discipled by the Lord to be divine and mystical persons, those who are not just human or “spiritual” but Jesusly human, divine and mystical persons who are human yet live divinely.
We have been separated from being common; by believing into Christ we have been sanctified and separated unto God, who is holy, and now we are in the divine and mystical realm of the consummated Spirit and the pneumatic Christ (see John 17:17; Heb. 2:11; 1 Thes. 5:23).
First, Christ sanctified Himself, and then He sanctified us; today we are being sanctified by God by being in His holy word, and we are made one with Him and one with one another by praying His word as the Lord’s brothers. Eventually, we will be sanctified in our whole tripartite being: spirit, soul, and body, to be preserved complete at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
As sanctified persons, we should live in the divine and mystical realm by living in the mingled spirit and doing everything in the spirit. We have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer us who live, but Christ lives in us, and the life which we now live in the flesh we live in the organic union with the Lord (Gal. 2:20).
Lord Jesus, thank You for sanctifying us and separating us unto God to bring us in the divine and mystical realm of the consummated Spirit and the pneumatic Christ. Cause us to realize that we are God-men, men who have God living in them and who live now in faith, the faith of the Son of God! Hallelujah, we have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer us who live but Christ living in us. Live Yourself, Lord Jesus, through us and in us today for the expression of God in man!
As God-men, we Believers in Christ should Live as Divine and Mystical Persons
As God-men, we believers in Christ should live as divine and mystical persons. When we pray, we should pray by living with God and moving with Christ, so that Christ in us would pray the prayers that the Father needs, such as, Our Father who is in the heavens, Your name be sanctified (Matt. 6:9).
Worldly people may pray for health, prosperity, and success, but we as God-men need to pray in the divine and mystical realm where we are one spirit with the Lord (1 Cor. 6:17) and live in spirit, walk according to the spirit, and do everything in the mingled spirit.
The way we live in the divine and mystical realm is by turning to our spirit and exercising to be one spirit with the Lord so that He may live in us. We need to let Christ live in us: He is our life and we are His living; then, whatever we do humanly, it makes us mystical.
However, we are not conscious of being mystical: life is spontaneous and effortless, and anything that is deliberate and conscious is false. We should be divine yet human – not merely human but mystically human; everything in our living should be divine and mystical (see John 14:16-20).
This means that we should do everything with God, in God, by God, and through God (1 Cor. 10:31; Col. 3:17), and we should live simultaneously in the physical realm and in the divine and mystical realm (John 3:13; Heb. 4:16; 13:13).
Like the Lord Jesus, we should be those who are apparently physical yet invisibly divine and mystical; we live in the human realm taking care of many necessary daily things, but we simultaneously live in the divine and mystical realm.
In order for us to live in spirit to be divine and mystical persons we need to have the dividing of the soul and the spirit, so that outwardly we may live in the human realm and inwardly we live in the divine and mystical realm in the mingled spirit.
When we purchase something, we should not only check with the Lord about it but simply live in the mingled spirit, being a God-man who expresses Christ. When we take care of our family members, love our spouse, and raise up our children, we should be always living in the mingled spirit to be divine and mystical persons, the reproduction of Christ.
We are the mystical Body of Christ. We have been baptized in one Spirit into this one Body (1 Cor. 12:13), and God has placed us and blended us together in this one mystical Body (vv. 18, 24). Such a mystical view can be possessed only by the seeking Christians. Like the Lord Jesus, we need to be those who are apparently physical, yet invisibly mystical. All the genuine prayers, real prayers, prayers that can be counted by God, are divine facts in the mystical human life. We have seen that before the Lord fed the five thousand, He prayed by looking unto His Father (Matt. 14:19). This is something divine, performed in a mystical human life. The Bible reveals to us Christ who was not only a wonderful Person but also a divine and mystical Person, but many times we are too “spiritual”, pursuing spirituality as a thing in itself and being high-minded and blinded in our Christian life. Oh Lord Jesus!
We need to see that we shouldn’t be merely “spiritual” but divine and mystical; we should be divine yet so mysterious, those living Christ and expressing Him wherever they are and whatever they do. Our life should be divine yet human – not merely human, but mystically human, following the pattern of Christ, the first God-man who did everything in a divine and mystical way.
In our daily life, whether at home or at work, in the office or in bed, on the street or in hospital, whatever we do and wherever we are we need to remember that we are God-men who should live one spirit with the Lord: we are divine and mystical persons who are human yet live divinely.
Lord Jesus, remind us that we are God-men who should live as divine and mystical persons. May there be a clear division of the soul and the spirit in our being so that we may live one spirit with the Lord to express Christ. Lord, we want to be those who inwardly live in the divine and mystical realm by living in the mingled spirit while outwardly doing this or that. Amen, Lord, make us the same as You are, and may our living be Your living in us so that we may be Jesusly human persons expressing You for the building up of the temple of God!

The Lord was divine and mystical. He did and said everything as a sign. In John 8 a sinful woman was brought to the Lord. Eventually, He said to her, “Has no one condemned you?” (v. 10). “And she said, No one, Lord. And Jesus said, Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more” (v. 11). This was also a sign. The Lord Jesus was God expressed, yet He would not condemn a sinner. Is this not something mystical? He was a divine and mystical person living in the divine and mystical realm, doing everything in a divine and mystical way. We should be such persons. If we are working in an office, those around us should have the feeling that there is something extraordinary about us. This extraordinary thing is divine and mystical.
