Christ as the Sevenfold Intensified Spirit Produces the Overcomers to Build the Church

After reading the Lord’s epistles to the seven churches in Rev. 2-3 we need to realize that today, in His ministry in the stage of intensification, Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit produces the overcomers, those who return to the orthodoxy of the church, overcome the degradation of the church, build up the Body of Christ, and consummate the New Jerusalem.

The overcomers in the church in Philadelphia not only overcome all the negative things but even more, on the positive side, they build up the church as the Body of Christ so that the bride of Christ may be prepared, the Lord would return, the age would be closed, and the New Jerusalem would be consummated.

The Lord cannot and will not return until His bride is prepared, and His bride is prepared when the Body of Christ is built up. The building up of the Body of Christ is the preparation of the Bride of Christ, and both of these are involved with becoming the New Jerusalem.

Once the Lord has the recovered church, He wants saints in this recovered church to consummate the central vision, the high peak of the divine revelation, by becoming the New Jerusalem. What the overcomers do is on behalf of the whole church.

Once the Lord has the overcomers to consummate God’s economy, He can finish the church age, He can come and rapture His Bride, and the age will be changed to the kingdom.

What the Lord desires is that we would return to the orthodoxy of the church so that, after 2000 years, the Lord would have a way to fulfill His heart’s desire – gaining the reality of the Body of Christ so that His bride would be prepared and He would return.

The Lord today is in the stage of intensification – He is not only Christ or the Spirit, but He has been intensified sevenfold so that He may counteract and overcome any degradation of the church, produce His overcomers, and consummate the New Jerusalem.

Once the Lord has produced His overcomers, these will cooperate with Him to build up the church, prepare His bride, and consummate the New Jerusalem.

This is what we are aiming at today: we want to be the Lord’s overcomers, those who are produced by Him to be the overcoming ones in this age to build up the church, prepare the bride, and consummate the New Jerusalem.

Christ as the Sevenfold Intensified Spirit Produces the Overcomers to Build up the Church

After becoming a life-giving Spirit, the Lord breathed Himself into His disciples essentially and was poured out upon them economically so that He may be their life, power, and everything for living the Christian life to build up the church.

However, the church became degraded to frustrate the accomplishment of God’s eternal economy. Therefore, Christ as the one life-giving Spirit became the seven Spirits of God – not seven individual Spirits but the one Spirit who is intensified sevenfold.

In His ministry in the stage of intensification, Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit produces the overcomers, those who return to the orthodoxy of the church, overcome the degradation of the church, build up the Body of Christ, and consummate the New Jerusalem (see Rev. 1:4; 2:7, 11, 17, 26; 3:5, 12, 21).

In the local churches today the Lord is working to produce some who are overcomers; these are not only having a lot of vital activity in their living, gospel preaching, nourishing the new ones, mutual perfecting in the homes, and prophesying to build up the church, but they also return to the orthodoxy of the church, build up the Body, and consummate the New Jerusalem.

Nothing can prevail against the sevenfold intensified Spirit. In ourselves and by ourselves we cannot become overcomers; however, we can pray and cooperate with the Lord to be produced as overcomers. It is good to open to the Lord and tell Him,

Lord, in and by ourselves we cannot become overcomers, but Lord, You are the Overcomer and You can produce overcomers! Reproduce Yourself in us. Produce us, Lord, as Your overcomers. We don’t know how, but we open to You as the sevenfold intensified Spirit to be produced as Your overcomers in this age. Lord, for the sake of Your Body and for Your bride, make us Your overcomers!

In overcoming the degradation of the churches, the overcomers return to the orthodoxy of the church and overcome satanic Judaism, demonic Catholicism, and dead and Christless Protestantism (see Rev. 2:9-10, 24-28; 3:1-5, 20-21).

The overcomers produced by Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit overcome anything that is Christ or that replaces Christ; they overcome any idols and anything that stands to replace Christ or remove Him from the first place in our being (see 1 John 2:18, 22; Phil. 3:7-11).

The overcomers are for the building up of the Body of Christ to consummate the New Jerusalem; they are one with the Lord to accomplish what is in His heart, which is to build up the Body of Christ for Him to return.

Without the overcomers, the Body of Christ cannot be built up, and unless the Body of Christ is built up, Christ cannot come back for His bride (Rev. 19:7-9). The Lord has to gain the overcomers in the local churches, or else He has no way to return.

When the overcomers fully cooperate with the Lord to build up the church, the bride is prepared, the Bridegroom can come secretly to rapture the bride, and the wedding feast begins. The building up of the Body of Christ is by the overcomers produced by Christ as the sevenfold intensified life-giving Spirit.

We need to pray to be produced by the Lord as His overcomers in this age so that we may build up the Body of Christ and bring Him back.

The building up of the Body of Christ by the overcomers in this age is for the initial consummation of the New Jerusalem in the kingdom age, and eventually for the full consummation of the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and new earth (Rev. 2:7; 3:12; 21:2).

The overcomers in this age will be rewarded with a foretaste of the New Jerusalem in the next age; they will enter into the reality of what they are and have been produced to be the reality of the Body of Christ and consummate the New Jerusalem.

Lord Jesus, by Yourself as the sevenfold intensified Spirit, produce us as Your overcomers in this age to build up the church, be prepared as the bride, and consummate the New Jerusalem. Lord, we don’t want to continue to be in the degradation of the church; grant us to experience You in Your sevenfold intensification so that we may build up the Body and prepare the bride! Grant us to overcome anything that is not You and be built up together as the Body of Christ for there to be a reality produced so that You may return and bring in the kingdom!

I will Write upon him the Name of My God, of the New Jerusalem, and My New Name!

The Lord’s promise to the overcomers in Philadelphia is that He will write upon them the name of His God and the name of the city of His God, the New Jerusalem, which descends out of heaven from His God, and His new name (Rev. 3:12).

A name is a designation, and one gets a name when he enters into a certain stage or when a change happened in his being. A man becomes a husband when he gets married, and he is a father when he has a child. When the Lord met Simon, He changed his name into Cephas, Peter, a stone; by this, He changed his nature.

For the overcomer to bear the name of God means that God has been wrought into him to the extent that he is fully one with God, and God can now consider him as “God” – a God-man, fully mingled and blended with God, the same as God in life, nature, and expression (but not in the Godhead). When others see the overcomers, they see God, for God has been wrought into Him.

To bear the name of the New Jerusalem means that he is a part of the holy city, and the coming New Jerusalem has been wrought into him. He not only overcomes to consummate the New Jerusalem, but he is a part of the New Jerusalem in his daily living, and when others see him, they see the holy city.

The Lord is always exact, precise, and not superfluous – when He calls something a name, that’s what it is; when the Lord said that the overcomer will have the name of the New Jerusalem written on him, this means that the overcomers are part of the New Jerusalem, and the New Jerusalem is wrought into him.

The overcomer in Philadelphia also has a new name written on him, a name that no one knows except the one who has it.

This new name is according to our experience with the Lord. When we experience God, God becomes us, we become the same as He is; we experience Him in an intimate and personal way, and we have a new name which denotes and expresses our experience with the Lord.

This means that, in His sevenfold intensification, the Lord is producing overcomers who are one with God, who are a part of the New Jerusalem, and who have experienced the Lord Himself as the One who makes Himself us.

The name of God, the name of New Jerusalem, and the Lord’s new name written upon the overcomer indicate that the overcomer is possessed by God, by the New Jerusalem, and by the Lord; that God Himself, His city, the New Jerusalem, and the Lord Himself all belong to him; and that he is one with God, with the New Jerusalem, and with the Lord. The name of God means God Himself, the name of the New Jerusalem means the city itself, and the name of the Lord means the Lord Himself. To write the name of God, the name of the New Jerusalem, and the name of the Lord upon the overcomer indicate that what God is, the nature of the New Jerusalem, and the person of the Lord have all been wrought into the overcomer. May we be those who see the Lord’s need today, are joined to Him, and allow Him to produce us as His overcomers in His sevenfold intensification as the Spirit.

If we are those who are produced as overcomers today, we will enjoy the New Jerusalem as a prize in the millennial kingdom – we will inherit what we are and have become.

The New Jerusalem in the millennial kingdom will be a prize to the overcoming saints, and the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and new earth will be the common portion of all the redeemed for eternity.

May we be those who cooperate with the Lord to be produced as His overcomers today!

Lord Jesus, we want to cooperate with You to be produced as Your overcomers today. Grant us the experiences we need so that we may have Your name and the name of the New Jerusalem written on us. Lord, we want to contact You and experience You in an intimate and spiritual way so that we may have a new name which denotes our spiritual experience of You. Lord, gain Your overcomers in this age to be the reality of the Body of Christ and consummate the New Jerusalem!
