This is a question that all the genuine believers in Christ should ask themselves and have it settled within them! The Bible speaks about a lot of things and it has many topics, many books, and many writers.
But the Scriptures as the God-breathed Word (2 Tim. 3:16) have a central line – there is a central line of the divine revelation in the Bible! On the one hand, we need to know the main revelation in the Bible and, on the other hand, we need to know also the minor points in the Bible!
There is a “trunk” and there are “the branches” – the trunk is only ONE, while the branches are many. What matters is knowing and seeing the “trunk” – the central line of the divine revelation; we should stress the central line of the divine revelation – but we should not “forget the branches”, the other minor points in the Scriptures.
Actually, since the Bible is the Word of God and is written of God through men borne by the Holy Spirit (2 Pet. 1:21), the central line of the divine revelation in the Bible does not contradict or exclude any of the minor points in the Bible, and all the other doctrines / minor points in the Bible are confirming and are firmly related to the main revelation in the Bible!
Also, any interpretation of the unique Bible should not have any minor revelations interpreted against, not in line or hamony with, the major revelation of this unique and consistent Bible (The Ten Great Critical “Ones” For the Building Up of the Body of Christ, brother Witness Lee).
Praise the Lord – today we can know and be assured of what is the central line of the divine revelation! Throughout the ages many genuine believers have been arguing about what are the major points in the Bible, and there were many divisions and denominations formed based on major points or minor points in the Bible.
The Bible is ONE, God is ONE, and God’s economy is also ONE – God desires oneness in the Body of Christ! But Satan used man’s untrained and wild mind to create divisions in the Body of Christ – even by using the Holy Word of God!
This is why we see it is very important for us to know “the trunk” – the central line of the divine revelation in the Bible – and then all the other things in the Bible will make sense, since they are properly related to the main revelation!
The Bible mainly speaks about God (it all starts from God!), about God’s economy, and about God’s dispensing!
More specifically, based on much study and consideration of the Scriptures and the proper interpretation of the Holy Word, we have enjoyed that there are SEVEN main items that compose the Central Line of the Divine Revelation: The Word of God, the Triune God, the Economy of God, the All-Inclusive Christ, the Life-Giving Spirit, the Body of Christ, and the New Jerusalem!
These coming days and weeks we will be getting into these main items in the Bible, which all the believers love, agree with, and treasure – the central line of the divine revelation in the Scriptures!

Lord, save us from focusing too much on the minor points in the Bible! Grant us a vision of the TRUNK – the central line of the divine revelation in the Bible! Save us from causing division in the Body of Christ by emphasizing the minor points! Grant us mercy, Lord, that we may see and have it settled in our being – God, His Economy, and His dispensing: these are the main things in the Bible! Praise You, Lord, for Your Word!
