The purpose of God’s move in His incarnation – to bring God into man and mingle God with man!

March 7, 2011 by aGodMan 1 Comment

Though we all may know that God became man in the person of Christ Jesus, do we all know what is the purpose of God’s incarnation? Why did God move out of eternity into time, and why did God come into man? This morning I had a fresh appreciation of some of the main points revealed in the Bible – regarding the purpose of God’s move in the step of His incarnation.

Mainly, God became man to bring God into man, to unite and mingle the Triune God with the tripartite man, and to save man to the uttermost so that man may become God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead! Here are some more details:

  • The purpose of God’s move in His incarnation is to bring God into man – by God becoming man He could bring God into man! The first step of this process is for God to be incarnated – and then, at our regeneration, God was “incarnated again”! To be saved actually means to have God incarnated into you! Through regeneration God is brought into man – since the day we believed into the Lord Jesus, we have God incarnated in us. Hallelujah, this wonderful fact takes place every time someone calls on the name of the Lord – God comes in man and incarnation is being repeated again! God did not become man only in the person of the Lord Jesus – God becomes man, He is incarnated as a man, whenever someone believes into the Lord! All the real believers in the world are “God incarnated”, God becoming man!
  • God was incarnated so that God may become man and man may become God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead! God made Himself us so that we may become Him; we were born of God with the divine life and nature so that we may become God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead! Since you’re born of human parents – you are a man; since you’re born of God (John 1:12-13) – you should not be ashamed to say that you are God in life and nature but not in the Godhead! Hallelujah, we are sons of God, being fully made the same as He is! This is the purpose of God’s incarnation – He became man so that man by believing into Him and being transformed by Him would become God in life and nature but not in the Godhead!
  • The purpose of God’s move in His incarnation is to mingle God with man so that God and man may become one! Just as we see in Lev. 2:4, where oil was mingled with flour without any third element being produced yet these two were so mingled that they cannot be separated, so in incarnation God mingled Himself with man! In 1 Cor. 6:17 we clearly see that he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit – the divine Spirit is mingled with our spirit and dwells in our spirit as One Spirit! Incarnation not just brought God into man, but also mingles God with man – and this is a continual process, day by day, we are being mingled with the Triune God! There is no “third entity” being produced – we are God Mingled With Man and Man Mingled With God!
  • God was incarnated for the purpose of accomplishing God’s redemption for man (Rom. 8:3; 1 Pet. 1:18-20). Yes, God became man so that He as a man would take care of man’s problems – He would die for man and on behalf of man, so that man may be brought near to God. His redemptive work at the cross and His death are now ours because God is mingling Himself with us! We also have died with Christ, and we no longer live in ourselves(Gal. 2:20)! When the Lord died on the cross, we also died – we are in an organic union with Him, and all that He is is also ours and being applied to us! By mingling Himself with us, Christ applies His death to our being not only initially but also in all our Christian life – we live by dying(to ourselves) and we die daily that we may live(to God)!
  • The purpose of God’s move in His incarnation is to carry out God’s salvation in man (1 Tim. 1:15) – on the negative side Christ in His incarnation dealt with all the negative things, and on the positive side He is saving us day to day! In this oneness with Him – in our organic union with the Lord – we are being saved every day in His life (Rom. 5:10)! He is everything to us as our life and nature – He is our salvation moment by moment and day by day! As we turn to Him and enjoy Him, Christ saves us from ourselves – and He adds the divine element and all the divine riches to our being! This is why He became a man – to save us to the uttermost!
  • God was incarnated so that He may impart the divine life into man! We see this clearly in 1 John 4:9 where it says, God sent His only begotten Son into the world that we might have life and live through Him. Why did God become a man? The purpose of God’s move in His incarnation is so that we, human beings, may have the divine life! Incarnation was not just for the imparting of God’s life into one man – Jesus Christ; incarnation took place and still takes place so that God’s life would be imparted and dispensed into man!

[sharing inspired from chapter 2 of, The Move of God in Man, by bro. Lee, as quoted in the Holy Word for Morning Revival on the Crystallization-Study of Isaiah(2)]

Praise You Lord for Your incarnation! Praise You for such a miracle – God became man! You brought God into man and You are mingling God with man! Lord, continue to mingle Yourself with us day by day! Save us more in Your life! May Your incarnation be our daily experience and our daily aspiration! We want to cooperate with Your incarnation, Lord, so that You would “be incarnated” in many other human beings! Bring more of Your divine life in us, Lord, and may this life flow out to others that they may also be saved! How we praise You for Your incarnation! Grant us to see more concerning it and have a fresh appreciation of Your move in the step of Your incarnation!
