Many times most of us think “oh, maybe people can’t really understand the gospel if we preach it in such a high way” – and on the other side, many of the people that are not saved think “why believe in such a watered-down and not-so-high gospel, that tells you to get saved to go to heaven?” We’re all guilty of this, on the one or on the other side…
The truth of the matter is that God created man in His image and His likeness and man can understand the things concerning God and man is even hungry to know about God and to receive God.
Deep within man he is not satisfied with a shallow gospel or explanation of his human existence; there is so much more to it when it comes to “why do we exist” and “what is the meaning of our human life” (see also: nothing else satisfies man but God, the meaning of our Christian life).
We the believers in Christ who are saved, regenerated, and are being sanctified, transformed, renewed, conformed and eventually glorified – we need to speak the high gospel of God’s economy according to the Bible!
God is mysterious, untouchable, all-powerful, and omni-present; He created all things, He sustains all things, and He owns all things. At one point in time, God became touchable and reachable in Christ – Christ is the embodiment of God(John 1:14; Col. 2:9). Christ fully expressed God in every way, not living His own life but the life of God. When people saw the Lord Jesus Christ, they actually saw God living on the earth. The realization of Christ is the Spirit – which Spirit Christ became in His resurrection(1 Cor. 15:45). Now all that Christ is, has, has attained and obtained, is in this life-giving Spirit, which can come into our spirit to regenerate us – give us the divine life! When we receive the Spirit(by simply calling on the Lord’s name, believing into Him, repenting and turning to Him, see Rom. 10:13), we become God-men – men with the divine life of God in us – part of the Body of Christ, the organism of the Triune God for His expression in this universe! Now on the earth this corporate expression of Christ, His Body, is being built up, blended, perfected, to attain unto maturity – the consummation of the Body of Christ, the utmost finality, is the New Jerusalem (Rev. 21-22). This city is not physical, it is a divine-human mingling of the Triune God, who was processed and consummated to become the Spirit, and man, who was regenerated, renewed, transformed, conformed, and glorified by the divine life operating in him. This miraculous structure of treasure is the masterpiece of God’s plan – Here God is fully expressed in millions of human beings for eternity, for Him to shine out the riches of His glory through a group of ex-sinners who now are fully-transformed-God-men!
What an economy! What a plan! What a meaning of our human existence! What a gospel! And this above is just a brief abstract / summary of the New Testament Economy of God who is taking place/being accomplished as we speak! Lord, may we see this, get into what Your Plan is, and speak such a High Gospel!
